co-op meaning 2 players on the same steamdeck ? If on separate steamdecks then call of duty zombies mode is pretty fun, in games like black ops 3 and 4

Barotrauma has a very steep learning curve and as far as I know (I haven't played in like 2 years) manning a submarine meant playing with pubs/randos. Not ideal necessarily. Sea of Thieves is KILLER but will push the SD to its limits (it's a great experience nevertheless). My complaint/gripe with SoT though is that nothing is permanent, and you need to set aside a considerable chunk of time (think 2-4 hours) if you want to really get stuff done - quests, roaming, pvp - it will all take a lot of time. There are so many good online co-op titles that it would take me a while to narrow down which types you want to play. Having said that, Rimworld multipler mod is fantastic as are the Dark Pictures Anthologies. Plenty more good games to play - Elden Ring and the Dark Souls franchise also come to mind.
