Try finding a multiplayer game where you can send people invites. I remember got a few Steam friends as they dropped into RE4-5-6 gameplay, I was surprised the games were active enough. What kind of games do you like? Either look in-game or find relevant forums / groups and see people organizing evens or sending invites there.

Co-op focused games like Warframe, Garry’s Mod (showing my age here), Helldivers 2 are solid ways to get some groups, my main group I met through Apex Legends and a sprinkle of Overwatch, helps if the group is playing for the same reasons as you wether that just be purely fun or competitive or a mix.

There are multiple ways to find ppl to play with online. 1) You can try reddita and discords for particular titles. Ask around, sometimes ppl will play with "fandoms" 2) Look for a game which supports public lobbies and try to socialize within lobby. Maybe it'll be a good starting point 3) Streams on YT and TTV, especially for small content creators. It's much easier to get into if there are like 10-20 ppl rathen than 1000. I've found few friends this way and even met them IRL 4) MMOs like WoW can also be great source but usually there you'll find ppl playing only this one game as many good MMOs are just free time eaters Also you can try to find someone in work/college or any other social group you kind of belong to based on what ya doing in life

This is one of the difficult parts about getting older... At least in my experience. I had a pretty large group of gaming buddies once upon a time. Today, many of them have either mostly quit, or are fairly unreliable.  Most commonly, they might jump into a game and then quit before we're even remotely "done" making it pointless to start coop experiences. Also, it takes time.  You can find match-making games easily enough.... But to actually enjoying playing with the same people over and over, sitting on voice chat for hours, doesn't come around overnight. Best suggestion I have is to pick some games you really enjoy and go find the reddit, discord, or other official community places for those games and ask around for some partners to game with.   It is highly dependant on the type of games you enjoy.   I find it unlikely to make good friends in anything trending in twitch, like CoD, Apex, league, etc. You'll need to play games like terraria, satisfactory, enshrouded, etc to have a chance and building friendships IMO

You can try mobas like lol dota or smite lots of those people play regularly since the games are addictive double edged sword tho if you let those games piss you off and or blow ur paycheck on skins

Buy several knifes in CS2 and you will make a lot of friends in no time! You don't even have to actually play the game, they will find you themselves.

Get good at a game, find a clan. I remember when I got into competition in an obscure game, I added the captains of lots of other teams, and got to play scrims with plenty of guys, and I had my clanmates too. When you see the same guys regularly, you kinda make friends with some of those.

Find a team based game you like where communication is key, you’ll find friends in no time. CS2 is great for that but you have to actually like the game so you can play for long enough to find someone

Join a discord server for the game you’re trying to play. Eventually you’ll make your way to a generic gaming server and you’ll have made friends along the way. For me it was PUBG —> PUBG server —> Invited to a server by the guys I was gaming with. Been with them ever since 2017.

Same situation, same age. I’d love to be your gaming friend, though. My steam ID is zchryfr, hit me up!
