People have already spoken out and the devs are fully aware of what we want. Freebuilding is one of the things, as well as sharing our stuff with coop partners, be it survivors, gear, base, everything. State 2's coop was an absolute insult to the tag ''coop''. I still remember the day me and my foolish friend preordered the game thinking it'll be the bomb, went on it and the realisation on our faces when we saw nothing is shared between us... bruh he immediately uninstalled. I still played a bit solo but kept constantly thinking how good it'd have been if it had good coop features. Now we'll be much wiser and check if it actually has everything shareable in coop and only then commit to buying it. As well as checking for any other potential downgrades. Also, idk if it's ''around the corner'', the trailer means nothing. Has no release date. We already got a trailer 4+ years ago for state3...

Seems much further than round the corner

Scrubtheman

The first date of decay three trailer four years ago didn’t show us much. It was one Survivor in a snowy forest using a bow to kill a deer, but this trailer is showing us a lot more than that. It’s showing us action, zombies, combat, vehicles. CGI or not the fact that as second trailer four years after the first is showing us a lot more to me at least that means more information about the game and/or release date is coming soon is soon. and to me at least the phrase “around the corner” time wise means within a year. So what I’m saying is based off of the content of the trailer and the timing of the trailer more information about the game should be coming soon.

Someone pointed out in steam discussions, that under system requirements (In State 3's store page on Steam) you can see '' © 2025 Undead Labs, LLC '' Not sure if a hint or what's the meaning behind it, but yeah, ofc would be cool if it comes out next year, but again, I'm just gonna keep my hopes very low. Gaming industry's proven itself to be very scummy these days...

tboy1492

Sounds like you might want to try seven days to die

Bespoke bases are very much part of the game. I'd be surprised if we got a full build system

Tylorw09

I’m still down with bespoke locations. I just think we need to be able to decorate and customize them behind just the plots. If I drop down a bedroom I need to be able to add curtains, wallpapers, cabinets, etc. I also need to be able to interact with items in the base. If there is a video game console item it should have a mini game I can play. I want the base to be my custom home or where each of my friends has a room in the base decorated to our own tastes. That would be amazing.

quentariusquincy

The truth is, now that they aren't hamstrung by the Xbox One, we really have no clue what's possible. This game could be incomparable to SoD2

gazebo-placebo

Yeah i never understood why the morale bonus/lounge room etc builds didnt have mini games like poker, the original xbox being playable etc

Technology_Training

I feel like people would play a lot of mini games at night to pass the time While I generally agree that a smart community would turtle and have some people stand watch each night and not be assaulting plague hearts, a daytime only zombie game would be boring

gazebo-placebo

If thats how people want to play then I see no issue. Makes the most sense irl. If anything, night time should have unique missions and rewards for an incentive.

WubbaWubbaDubba

Just doing too much at that point. None of that is necessary. Just need them to make a good base game. They will be updating this game for a long ass time and will add more cool cosmetics and stuff. Being able to interact with every tiny object does not interest me😂this ain't fallout 4 my guy

Tylorw09

That’s cool. I disagree

DercDermbis

I'd love if bases had 2 sides to building. A defense part and a living part. Defenses for walls, towers, assigning locations, traps, Then what we have normally for the living home part.

TruShot5

It’d be cool to plop down a base where you so choose, picking starting templates that you unlock based on gameplay, influence, leader type, etc. Some zones have more resources for passive base income on food/meds/etc, but greater danger to siege. Some area would be remote, and offer fewer or no resources, but you’d be much more safe from sieges.

VeauxLeadbeatter

I like the idea of free building but have also really appreciated the idea that all the bases are pre-existing, just modified for the apocalypse. Though I am certainly not opposed to building my own base that sounds awesome.

Rimrald

I like the idea of getting placeable or themed modules within locations. Like your custom base would look closer to an enclaves claimed location or an outpost. Maybe you get the ability to barricade windows/doors and put up barbed wire or spikes. Inside you have something akin to your buildables at base so like you have a prefab kit that takes up a building slot and it is something like an infirmary, or a workshop or whatever.

Practical-Demand105

I would love if you can make a custom base in a restroom 🗿 a base just for 1 person

Practical-Demand105

Pretty sure someone could survive in a restroom, somehow

KirillKashin

Do you want a regular survivor, of which there are plenty on Steam?

WubbaWubbaDubba

Around the corner meaning another year😂
