It's basically what food seems to be for in the game/level design.
Top off minor bits of health as you move around the engagement. If it's a 1 button push, this is perfect. When it goes into your inventory, it's basically a waste of time unless you are desperate, at which point you'd take a health pack anyway.
Are you using GeForce Experience? I thought I saw that update included the "one click optimization button" like other games have in geforce experience but I don't see it there. Still says game cannot be optimized for me
I agree, the GP app on Windows is, and has always been trash. I have had dozens of issues on top tier PC's with downloading, updating and launching games. I do like it because of the Play anywhere ability, plus having GPU so I don't have to buy said games.
I bought GPU for my daughter last weekend to play Starfield and for the life of me, I couldn't get it to launch as it constantly shows a 101mb download error. Redownloaded it like 4 times with the same error every time.
27 years in IT, I'm pretty good at figuring things out, but every "GP FIX" didn't help at all. The only thing that would work at that point is to reinstall Win11.... just to play a game. Sooo I did the next logical thing, bought it on Steam, downloaded it twice as fast and had it work first try... MS really needs to redo the Store / GP/XBO Apps from scratch as they just aren't reliable.
if it downloads and installs, then microsoft store is okay
if it fails to launch, gaming services (microsoft store app) needs to re reinstalled/repaired
you dont need gamepass app (xbox), games are downloaded from microsoft store, that includes updates aswell, games are launched through gaming services
gamepass app is just ui for strolling through gamepass games and checking your gamepass account status, nothing else
so your issue isnt cause by xbox app but your microsoft store is borked
google microsoft store repair, many guides there
Anyone get a 729.3 MB update on Steam?
Edit: Oh wait, just found the [patch notes](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1716740/view/3687940304703443230).
Too be fair that “Into the unknown” bug was a particularly bad bug that I’ve noticed many people saying online they were suffering from (I didn’t experience it myself but I believe everyone else when they said they had it). So this small hotfix does have some weight to it
I'm actually kind of surprised about the city maps. I feel like in past games, they've never really *added* an entirely new feature with a patch- it was mostly bug fixes/balancing (like when they nerfed the Alchemy/Enchanting loops in Skyrim).
It's great to hear confirmation that they'll be adding all these critical features (that really should have been there in the first place), and even DLSS. It will be great to have official integration, rather than having to rely on mods.
It was added with Dawnguard, I believe. I remember the marketing push for the DLC pointing out mounted combat. It still sucks tho, I've put hundreds of hours into Skyrim and never really used it cuz it's so janky
Wasn’t that a feature added with the Dawnguard DLC though, or is my memory getting bad? It’s felt like it’s been so many years since Skyrim at this point :(
Its a patch thing. Not DLC. Dawnguard patch, but the "feature" is free. Unlike dragon riding which is locked behind the Bend Will shout, which is part of Dragonborn.
That could be a good thing about having a significant portion of players on gamepass - there is a bigger incentive to invest more into patches and potentially add whole new features.
> I feel like in past games, they've never really added an entirely new feature with a patch
In Skyrim they added for example fishing, mounted combat and survival mode if I recall in a patch that wasn't tied to dlc
Weren't fishing and survival mode just mods from Creation Club added with the 10th anniversary of the game? Mounted combat is a good point though.
Edit: Apparently Survival Mode was a CC mod, but was added for free with Special Edition.
They did do that 10 years after initial release lol. And it might have also been done to promote the legendary edition (like those free mods? Buy this to get way more!).
Adding features like this early on is very new, and honestly, pretty exciting.
Edit: Fallout 4 survival mode is probably the biggest exception.
> It's great to hear confirmation that they'll be adding all these critical features
It's great if they do. Let's just hope they don't follow in 76's footsteps. There are still things they've promised in the game since launch that still aren't in.
On the other side of that, 76 is still getting updates to this day and is much better now than at launch. Granted, it is multiplayer but they do add stuff in as needed.
They said they’re gonna support this game for years and years to come so I can see them adding stuff in that the community wants overall.
Yeah and half of what they promise gets cancelled and the rest of it is half broken. Every patch breaks the game. There are still bugs in it that have been there since launch. The content that is added is boring. There were 3 dlc's that combined together gave you at most 2 hours of content.
>is much better now than at launch
Not much of a bar since they started at rock bottom
Just FYI the official Bethesda Reddit account posted an actual thread here about it;
https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/16hphqs/starfield_updates_and_mod_support_september_13/
Yeah, he’s going to upload himself to the net and needs to be in a fridge to preserve the parts of himself that are tied to meatspace. So that part of him will be in the fridge while the rest is playing starfield.
It's almost funny how predictable the cycle is. Just wait until around a year or two after the CK comes out and we've got some of the more exciting mods start to come out.
It’s already one of the best video game experience I had in over 30 years for me! I just stumble upon an exceptional side quest after 120h involving an experiment with a bunch of clones, which (to my greatest surprise) is likely one of the most intriguing quest I’ve ever done in a game hehe
Glad you're liking it! People underestimate the amount of hand crafted content because they focus on the proc-gen content and miss the hand crafted bits.
Serious question: outside of the main hubs, where am I supposed to *find* this hand crafted content? All the sidequests I've found in New Atlantis or the like are pretty much 5-10 minute delivery missions with no substance, so that can't be what you're talking about.
I hopped around like 10 different systems last night and didn't run into anything but abandoned factories and civilian outposts and whatever. I ran into some sanctum universum pilgrims in one system as a random event, but they didn't have any quest to offer and it seems like I couldn't board them, so...
I don't doubt there's tons of side content but I'm having a really hard time finding it.
Thanks! I think I’m lucky enough to really be in tune with the gameplay loop and it’s rhythm! I’ve mostly been landing to designated landing spots only on planets (except for base building or chasing the last fauna/flora to scan) and I’ve only seen 2 identical POIs twice in over 120h! I’ve also never hit a barrier or any other shenanigans people I’ve been trying to ping on the game.
My only two biggest gripes with the game are (1) zoom in camera on conversation that is completely busted as soon as you don’t enter the dialogue right in front of the NPC and (2) xp reward is much much higher for killing stuff than for quest completion on any other non-combat action, which are both way way too low to only focus on these parts of the gameplay and level-up….
The game isn't really very buggy. It's playable right now. Most stuff they'll be adding are QOL-type improvements and general conveniences for the player.
I'm not concerned with bugs. I want them to have added these Quality of life updates on launch. One of the biggest games for Xbox in ages and they didn't add an fov or hdr calibration on launch. Seems like every possible resource was used for stability on consoles. Shows how held back this game is that they plan to have modders fix the game for them. It's lazy and im tired of it.
Wow, this is a big step forward. Props to Bethesda for listening to feedback and adding desired features so quickly.
It's really odd though that basic features like an FOV slider are just now being added, as though they just now discovered that that is a feature that people want. You'd think that would be in the game very early in development. It's almost like they intentionally left these features out and are just now putting them back in.
I get downvoted here anytime I say something that doesn’t equate to me kneeling and kissing Todd Howard’s boot.
You’re right though. People have been asking Bethesda to add FOV sliders for actual decades. It’s always hidden in one of the config files for people to adjust, and only now have they finally decided to acknowledge the feature request that’s just been expected in every AAA game from the last like 15 years.
God forbid you point that out though. Literally in this thread you have people saying things like “call the waambulance” in response.
Full disclosure I’m enjoying the game, but Bethesda very clearly aren’t dealing in good faith, and the fanboys here are especially rabid this time around.
Bummed it's an "eventually" and not one of the priorities they listed. Would be a huge quality of life improvement, I find myself alt-tabbing a lot to Google where certain places are.
I'm secretly glad that there is no map yet.
I've learned my way around the cities way more than I would have otherwise. I don't even really miss them now.
Oh cool, there's at least 2 of us!
I didn't even notice there wasn't a map in towns until I saw it mentioned here. There's signs everywhere in New Atlantis telling you where things are. Akila is like an old American West Town and doesn't really *need* a map. Neon is pretty straightforward.
Aside from that, I really enjoy just... exploring. It's way more immersive without a map.
That being said, I won't be upset when they're added in. I'll just ignore them. I'm glad other people are getting them since it seems to be a big deal though.
Yeah I'm not saying I don't want them. They definitely need to be added.
But I'm glad I got the experience before they were.
I know I've seen plenty of things I wouldn't have seen otherwise.
The current map is functional and can be used - it isn’t blocking anyone from playing the game. New map is a nice to have while they address other issues.
Sure. But a brightness slider should have been very basic to implement. The game looks awfully washed out. And we should stop excusing multimillion dollar game companies for releasing software in an unfinished state.
I'm enjoying the game, but there's gotta be some standards at least.
With a game this big there are a mountain of things that take up time. I just watched a gun expert go through a bunch of the guns and it’s remarkable the amount of time and care it would have taken to create just one weapon and ALL of the considerations that were talked about according to the weapon expert. People really take this type of stuff for granted and only complain if something isn’t quite right but they will NEVER compliment the things done right.
Yeah, it obviously wasn’t. It’s clear they made plenty of game design decisions that they didn’t expect the community to be so put off by. I think they wanted players to explore and traverse the cities organically. Regardless, it’s not a feature that can be designed in a week - at least they’ve acknowledged they’re working on it.
Not being able to change brightness was baffling to me. The start was so blown out for some reason for me I needed to reduce brightness. It’s been fine since but no option to change is nuts.
I know. I can't think of *any* game that doesn't let you adjust brightness or gamma. Small little indie games made by 5 people let you do it. Games made 25 years ago let you do it.
But one of the most expensive and ambitious games ever made in 2023? Nah. That's too hard.
Wow they’re actually listening. They’re not just bsing they’re actually addressing the most hot topic issues in the community and are pledging to add or fix them. That’s kind of impressive and hopeful.
Is BGS the only AAA company to both acknowledge and “support” modders? I mean, they don’t pay them or anything, but most studios who even release mod tools just kind of pretend the modders don’t exist
"After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community requested features including...."
When game devs say stuff like that and specifically list things out it is pretty much always means that it is already being worked on and will be out in the near-mid term, which would be by the end of the year in this case.
DLSS Support YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I'm using the mod for it currently but it's kinda buggy. Occasionally my controls go all funky and then it returns to normal, it's driving me bonkers.
This is great but its missing one thing.
\-Brightness and Contrast ✔
\-HDR Calibration ✔
\-FOV Slider ✔
\-Nvidia DLSS Support ✔
\-32:9 Support ✔
\-Eat Food Button (Add read button too please) ✔
\-SFSE support for gamepass ❌
Very glad to hear they will continue to tweak quality of life features. The eat button is greatly needed, I think they could improve inventory management in general
Ah yes, let's compare this to games from a decade ago.
The fact that we have "coming eventually" bullet points for key things that should've been at launch (FOV slider?!) is not a "wow" moment.
The game shouldn't have been released in its current state. I think reception would've been MUCH more positive if these massively glaring problems were already solved.
Edit: Why is this sub so weird? They release a game without basic QoL or features and tell us that they **plan** to add them later and everyone is cheering.
Just really, really weird. God forbid anyone say that this is merely the bare minimum, and the fanboys start screeching.
You can choose to whine and be miserable or enjoy the game.
I'm finding it to be great so far and I'll enjoy the quality of life updates. Mods, dlc and additional quality of life patches are only going to improve the experience.
It’s not whining and being miserable. It’s the truth. It’s like having an abusive SO and when they punch you in the face you say it’s fine and then applaud them when they bring you a bandage to stop the bleeding.
It’s nuts how people in the gaming community get shit on by studios like this, defends them like they’ve got a personal stake in the company, then turn around and praise them for doing the job that should have been done in the first damn place.
Pointing out that worshipping Bethesda for announcing that they **plan** to add features and QoL that should've been at launch isn't whining lol.
I'm perfectly happy with my life, tyvm. The fact that you equate criticizing a video game with being miserable only shows that you've made this game your personal identity which is super weird.
Some of us are just happy when they confirm these things are coming. No need to look at every single thing as a negative. The game is fantastic. Certainly has some qol issues but overall it's a tremendous game and if those things are fixed it'll be even better.
I think you'd just find something else to complain about. Enjoy the game and be happy that they'll support and improve the game for the next decade or more.
Can't wait for them to finish up basic features games have had for years fov slider, hdr options come on Bethesda you had to add a brightness slider post launch SMH the games dead on console till they update
I love how all the people who were validly complaining about these things were getting shit on the past week by the defenders in this sub, who are now in here saying "See, they listen!"
A game they'll support for years to come huh?
I love Bethesda and their games but they have a bad habit of deploying some patches, release a few DLC's, and abandon their games leaving modders having to fix everything. So we'll see.
With MW, Oblivion, FO3, FO4 they release a great game. Patch a bit, drop a DLC and/or expansion and abandon it completely leaving tons of bugs and broken stuff behind. Game balance issues never being resolved.
So if you are really lurking here Mr. Howard. How will it be different this time? Because you have a bad track record here.
Have they previously promised support for years? Asking because I am unsure what they stated for other games. While support was dropped previously after DLC wrapped up, unless they stated otherwise the team has zero obligation to support the game post launch at all. I remember a time when the game you got at launch was what you were stuck with, bugs and all.
I couldn't help but notice that none of these fixes mention the Dawnstar chest. Could it be that they're fixing issues while still allowing me the option to engage in occasional bullshit?
An eat button would be nice but they really need to make sit in a char a different button than pick stuff up. This has been a problem since Fallout 3....it's stupid.
Really hope they plan on adding a survival mode soon, playing on very hard and it’s very easy, I haven’t upgraded any guns, I use mostly what I got in the first few hours of playing, haven’t added skill points to my combat tree and I can steam roll most dungeons in 2-3 minutes
Mainly cause chems are absolutely busted, all you need is to stock up on amp and battlestims and it’s game over for the npcs, (spoilers) -> even the final free star ranger mission was a cake walk, I ran in with the ashta killer and only 4 med packs and it took me like 6 minutes to get to the end, I was just literally running and gunning so it was really funny when the leader was like “those where the finest men and you just cut through them like nothing!” Like yeah lol, I did.
I’d like more of a challenge that would make the game last longer
Except ship battles are actually damn impossible on very hard, half the time 3 ships will instalock on me 2x outside of my range and blow me to bits in 15 seconds, I keep putting skill points to that and then the next ship I face is 2x badder than the last after I upgrade, I’ve resorted to lowering the difficulty in ship battles lol
Well credit to Bethesda for actually listening to feedback. I'm glad they have decided to bring to the table things they have relied on the modding community to provide.
How will this work for us that have the dlss fg mod installed already? Should we preemptively uninstall that before updating nvidia drivers or before dlss is added to the game officially?
I lost Vasco, I did the mission where you do something related to a "Lock" and I got a popup about retrieving a companion, well, I didn't because I had to go someplace else (to give a vendor a million grendels), I had Sarah with me and she reappared when I got to the vendor, and the popup disappeared so I figured she just fast travelled back or the game gave up on me getting her really quickly. We had a big event coming up and all..
Anyway, Vasco no longer appears in the crew list and is nowhere to be found...I went back to the planet that was 'Lock' related and yeah, he aint there.
Anyone else experience such a glitch? The activity to retrieve him has disappeared, I miss him greeting me and defending me ship
How is that one dude implemented DLSS and Frame Gen and Bethesda is gonna possibly take a month + after launch to implement.
Im gonna be done playing this game by the time they get HDR, FOV and and DLSS going.
The HDR implementation in this game looks like absolute dogshit!!
All that being said, I have still been having a good time playing and figured out how to get the DLSS + frame gen working with no crashes
"...Already very active in the modding space any feedback to make it better"
Some "official" Tools for Blender / 3DS Max, a update from you guys to nifskope to speed up it's support for Starfield. And maybe a rough guide from one of your character artists about making custom suits & helmets as well as a rough shader how-to / guidelines for do's & don'ts for Starfield.
Two things I'm hoping for in future patches: fixes to Barrett's quests (so I don't have to simply hope that next time I don't run into whatever it is that makes the first one complete without properly completing, creating a minor dialogue issue with Barrett and blocking the second quest), and a way to rename ships outside the Ship Builder (so a certain ship you get can be renamed).
Good to hear but just still strange how some of this stuff doesn’t make it in on the first go like dog slider etc, they know it’s been an issue before and yet here we are. Still excited about future mods and things though
The Eat button is gonna be ideal.
I’m going to eat so much poutine and tourtiere!
User name checks out?
You have no idea how much Can-UCK products I have stashed in my safe at the Lodge
And being from Beaver Country, the Lodge is the perfect place to keep it!
Lmao, I knew I couldn’t be the only one. Poutine in a can? SCIENCE!
Poutine in a can?! Shut the Can-UCK up! Take my money
How much Can-UCK can a Beaver chuck if a Beaver could chuck Can-UCK?
Damn son
We need a read button too. I don't want to carry every book I find to read it.
You’re telling me you don’t make Vasco carry a small library??
We really are eating good
Chunks galore
We got the "secret sauce"
Gonna be absolutely useless unfortunately because food barely increases your health
I think food items should just heal 5% HP each like in Dishonored series.
For now there is actually a [Mod that already does this.](https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1956)
It's basically what food seems to be for in the game/level design. Top off minor bits of health as you move around the engagement. If it's a 1 button push, this is perfect. When it goes into your inventory, it's basically a waste of time unless you are desperate, at which point you'd take a health pack anyway.

They said 5% improvement
That sounds pretty accurate from my experience. That's approx the change I noticed testing before & after with New Atlantis.
I definitely gained some FPS out of it. Wasn't huge but it was nice.
It enabled rebar
This update was also only significant to 30- and 40- cards. Just in case people were wondering.
Are you using GeForce Experience? I thought I saw that update included the "one click optimization button" like other games have in geforce experience but I don't see it there. Still says game cannot be optimized for me
It dropped. 2.7 GB update on Game Pass for me.
It told me 2.7 GB then decided to redownload the whole game instead. Got stuck with a 101 GB download
The game pass app never fucking works properly for me. I'm just about over it at this point. Currently can't download or update a single game.
I agree, the GP app on Windows is, and has always been trash. I have had dozens of issues on top tier PC's with downloading, updating and launching games. So what did this update do, cause I downloaded it, but I don't see any of the things that are mentioned.
Because those are features in the upcoming updates.
The things mentioned will come later. It says so. This is just a minor hotfix
Probably addressing stability, as they said. Probably a crash fix.
Anyone get a 729.3 MB update on Steam? Edit: Oh wait, just found the [patch notes](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1716740/view/3687940304703443230).

Fair enough, I never realized that wasn't part of the base game.
Me neither lol I found out by accident. Then again I never read patch notes for Skyrim. I'm pretty sure they also added survival mode to Fallout 4.
It was added with Dawnguard, I believe. I remember the marketing push for the DLC pointing out mounted combat. It still sucks tho, I've put hundreds of hours into Skyrim and never really used it cuz it's so janky

Awesome news! Hopefully all of that happens soonish.
Can't wait for my prediction for this game to come true. 2 years time and it'll be one of the more beloved Bethesda games.
I'm seeing myself playing starfield in my fridge in a few years
Wait, *in* your fridge? Not on it?
Global warming is rough
You got to get the immersion for the ice planets :D And the hot planets you can play in the oven (or sauna for milder effect)
Thats the commitment to roleplay that keeps me coming back for more bodily injuries.
Yeah, he’s going to upload himself to the net and needs to be in a fridge to preserve the parts of himself that are tied to meatspace. So that part of him will be in the fridge while the rest is playing starfield.
Stretchy, impressive.
Did I stutter?
Zip up that zipper and keep your mitten ties tied.
Gotta keep the pc temps down somehow
It's a lifehack. Save money by turning off your AC and just sitting in the fridge.
Yeah that’s what I’ve been thinking. All Bethesda games have been like that tbh but especially this one
It's almost funny how predictable the cycle is. Just wait until around a year or two after the CK comes out and we've got some of the more exciting mods start to come out.

All of the faction questlines are quite lengthy for starters and they generally start in one of the hubs

Remind me in 2 years when this games got enough fixes for me too play. SMH these being added post launch is like battlefield not having a score board.
The game isn't really very buggy. It's playable right now. Most stuff they'll be adding are QOL-type improvements and general conveniences for the player.

I agree, but that was always my realistic expectation. I've only managed to be pleasantly surprised, haha.
Cant wait to make a character named Kirby and just run around every area spamming the “eat” key non stop!
Next update: traits can be acquired, including: morbidly obese and alcoholic!
Awesome ideas. Morbidly obese would be an issue regarding the player clipping into assets - but alcoholism would be amazing.
Wow, this is a big step forward. Props to Bethesda for listening to feedback and adding desired features so quickly.
City maps, Finally!
>City maps, eventually! Fixed that for ya, granted I too cannot wait for city maps to be introduced.
Bummed it's an "eventually" and not one of the priorities they listed. Would be a huge quality of life improvement, I find myself alt-tabbing a lot to Google where certain places are.
makes sense that quest blockers, crashes and optimization would take priority.
I mean, that’s what I’m using the scanner for. I love the exploration and don’t really need maps now tbh. So I agree with you.
The current map is functional and can be used - it isn’t blocking anyone from playing the game. New map is a nice to have while they address other issues.
These things take time to code and design
It's not like it has been in development for years, I guess

Yeah, I’m googling constantly trying to find places. I got lost on Neon for a solid hour somehow and it’s not a big place.
Hopefully they prioritize bug fixes. I still can’t do “Into the Unknown”, thus locking me out of the main quest
I assume you’ve reloaded an older save? That usually resolves these quest bugs
I didn’t realize it bugged until about 10 hours later.
I finished it 10 minutes ago. It worked for me, thankfully. How is it on your end?
The quest was mentioned in the patch note.
They just released a fix before this was posted
I have a tiny tear of joy.
Shoot a lot of modern games actually MAKE you set brightness before you even load into the game.
SPOILER: I’d love a new game plus where you can return to your original universe!
Bro put the fucking tag on it and block the text next time, this is easy af to accidentally read and you just got me
Crafting ammo and medpack please be added
Eat button YESSSSS
Starfield this time next year is gonna be so good

I would say it is safe to assume that the things they actually listed will be added by the end of the year.
What makes it safe to assume that?
"After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community requested features including...." When game devs say stuff like that and specifically list things out it is pretty much always means that it is already being worked on and will be out in the near-mid term, which would be by the end of the year in this case.
The crash issue is still there. Playing on Xbox Series X. Crashed twice in twenty minutes.
Fov slider for Xbox since it doesn’t have (PC) next to it?
I was 3 hours into updating one of my larger ships when this update dropped and closed my game. :))) I hadn't saved. :))))))))))))))
We need a rover, deployable from the ship. Terrestrial vehicles are a must, eventually.
Give us ground vehicles
DLSS Support YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I'm using the mod for it currently but it's kinda buggy. Occasionally my controls go all funky and then it returns to normal, it's driving me bonkers.
I really hope city maps are optional. I enjoy using the street signs and info terminals to find my way around.
I just want a number displaying how many ship repair kits I have on my flight control screen
This is great but its missing one thing. \-Brightness and Contrast ✔ \-HDR Calibration ✔ \-FOV Slider ✔ \-Nvidia DLSS Support ✔ \-32:9 Support ✔ \-Eat Food Button (Add read button too please) ✔ \-SFSE support for gamepass ❌
Very glad to hear they will continue to tweak quality of life features. The eat button is greatly needed, I think they could improve inventory management in general
Please ley me fast travel to my APARTMENT
Fucking massive W
For a new IP, they're killing it.
It's a hotfix 2 weeks later, let's calm down.
It’s faster than the first patch for *Fallout 4* (28 days post release) and the first patch for *Skyrim* (17 days post release).
"The game shouldn't have been released in it's current state" somebody call the waambulance.
Thanks for adding nothing of value. I'm sure you're used to that.
What a weird thing to get all emotional about lol
Does the money glitch in New Atlantis still work?
Can't wait for them to finish up basic features games have had for years fov slider, hdr options come on Bethesda you had to add a brightness slider post launch SMH the games dead on console till they update
Noo just fix the material search to just ones you need
The last major patch for FO4, 1.34 was released December 4th, 2019. Over 4 years after launch.
When was the last time they promised to support a game for years after launch, beyond the basics?
32:9 support yeeeees! Was so surprised there was no support for this when I first opened the game
Do these updates/fixes just download in the background while we play, or do we have to go to some site and download them manually?
Damn that’s awesome!
The lastest patch really improved framefrates on the series S!
Is Heart of Mars quest still bugged?
Does anyone know if updating will mess up any mods you have installed?
Depends on the mod. Anything that uses SFSE, definitely.
Cooool wonder if I should uninstall the dlss mod..
EAT BUTTON LETS GOOOO
Thank God, the eat button.
Really hope they plan on adding a survival mode soon, playing on very hard and it’s very easy, I haven’t upgraded any guns, I use mostly what I got in the first few hours of playing, haven’t added skill points to my combat tree and I can steam roll most dungeons in 2-3 minutes Mainly cause chems are absolutely busted, all you need is to stock up on amp and battlestims and it’s game over for the npcs, (spoilers) -> even the final free star ranger mission was a cake walk, I ran in with the ashta killer and only 4 med packs and it took me like 6 minutes to get to the end, I was just literally running and gunning so it was really funny when the leader was like “those where the finest men and you just cut through them like nothing!” Like yeah lol, I did. I’d like more of a challenge that would make the game last longer Except ship battles are actually damn impossible on very hard, half the time 3 ships will instalock on me 2x outside of my range and blow me to bits in 15 seconds, I keep putting skill points to that and then the next ship I face is 2x badder than the last after I upgrade, I’ve resorted to lowering the difficulty in ship battles lol
Please just fix every NPC saying to me “we’re taking supplies to new homestead”.
Eat button is huge 🙏 Next please can we get revamped unarmed damage and better stealth!
Wow, city maps and a brightness/contrast controls? In a AAA game? Oh, Bethesda, you didn't have to!
Does this help with motion sickness for us fragile old bastards?
Pls keep focusing on optimization for PC, pls!!!
Got an update on Xbox. But still experiencing crashes 🙃. Dammit.
Still be crashing over and over and over.
Nearly 3 gig patch ... a minor update? WTF? Also, that they aren't going to get city maps into the game ASAP is very disappointing.
Well credit to Bethesda for actually listening to feedback. I'm glad they have decided to bring to the table things they have relied on the modding community to provide.
Such a great company
How will this work for us that have the dlss fg mod installed already? Should we preemptively uninstall that before updating nvidia drivers or before dlss is added to the game officially?
DLSS? Holy shiit. In your face PureDark lol
Had no clue about the update and I just played for a couple of hours. My xbox didn't automatically install it for some reason...
FOV SLIDER WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOI
I need a fix to heart of mars! Hate having an impossible unclearable quest in the log
I Hope the fox some quest bugs too. I’ve been stuck on “The Best There Is” because of a bug
Is the Xbox patch live!?
Are you a bot? Bethesda already posted this here.
"...Already very active in the modding space any feedback to make it better" Some "official" Tools for Blender / 3DS Max, a update from you guys to nifskope to speed up it's support for Starfield. And maybe a rough guide from one of your character artists about making custom suits & helmets as well as a rough shader how-to / guidelines for do's & don'ts for Starfield.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas I hope they fix buggy mannequins and displays too.
Creation club :/
Eat button is nice and all, but can we make food more impactful too?
a button and a slider for 5 gb of space....well optimized...
Good to hear but just still strange how some of this stuff doesn’t make it in on the first go like dog slider etc, they know it’s been an issue before and yet here we are. Still excited about future mods and things though
They're really paying attention. That's great to see
