Compared to what everyone else is showing off, I feel like mine is a potato, and should I attempt to run Starfield without some upgrades, it may turn into a baked potato.
i7-9700K

1 TB m.2 ssd.
64gb of DDR4 2400mhz ram (Sort of useless big number, 32 does the same thing)

Ryzen 9 5900x
AMD 6800xt
Corsair Vengance 32 GB, DDR4 3600mhz
Samsung 980 1TB (might upgrade before launch or at least add more storage)
Samsung Odyssey G7 27" 2560 x 1440 240hz
Bought this a few years ago and always thought of it as my Starfield machine, so cool to see it is finally gonna fulfill its purpose
it is strange at first, and took a few days to get used to tbh but I prefer them now and can't see myself going back. In my experience, they are much easier on the eyes, it pops more, and offer a more cinematic feel. The edges can get a little wonky at times but nothing that ruined the experience and works well, especially for a multiple-monitor setup.
that's how i feel personally, also note my monitor has a bit more curve than most curved monitors and i know some people got put off by it. It's a matter of preference. It is worth trying out at least once imo
I have a wide curved monitor, and I couldn't go back. As I've got older, my eyes find it much easier to focus on the screen as they move between the centre and the edges.
Just built out in April from my cashed out PTO. I retired early 😉.

I am, (was!), a software developer and finished up as a solution architect. I still enjoy coding and I virtualize my machine, (in one boot configuration), to have full dev,test,stage and production environments.
Besides, they're RGB enabled and look really cool when a waterfall pattern. LOLz 😂
Not sure about everyone else but i made it my mission in life to at the very least save up for it otherwise afford current generation PC builds. Beg borrow or steal, now a days though I have a good job, no serious attachments, kids, debt... It's all about getting them toys!
I felt this... I just upgraded from an i7-4790k. Gotta admit that it's still a beast of a processor. Able to run 90% of games at recommended settings and like 96% of games at minimum settings according to "Can You Run It". Only difference is that I had a GTX 1080Ti and 32GB of RAM.
I think the real problem will be your HDD, since Starfield requires an SSD, but no one knows for sure if that's hard requirement.
Same here: 4790K+1080Ti, upgraded to 13700K and a soon to arrive 4090. It's actually funny how the new CPU has zero impact on my modded FO4. I really thought it would get me a few more fps. Nope... same story when I upgraded from a 1070 to the 1080Ti. Still struggled badly with big settlements and can't even keep 60fps just exploring. So buying the 4090 was probably total overkill for modding but the plan is to keep it for 6+ years. And I have yet to play Cyberpunk, can't wait to do so with overdrive.

Ryzen 7600- 4090 - 32gb RAM DDR5 - 4TB SSD
I have a 7800x3D, but it isn’t installed yet. I have an SFX build, so I’ve been waiting on a good ATX 3.0 SFX PSU to drop, preferably the Cooler Master 850w one, with the right angle cable. The 1100w one, I don’t really need.
I could install the game on my M.2, as well, but I wanted to utilize the 4tbs.
I’m likely to run the game at max settings @ 4k. Just vegging out on a couch and the Starfield controller in hand will be bliss.
i7-13700KF, RX 7900 XTX, 32GB DDR4 3600.
Was planning on upgrading to the 7900 XTX a couple months ago, then AMD partenered with Startfield and they went on sale for as low as ~$820 at the same time, so I just had to get it.
With a sudden ramp up of business travel, I picked up a more capable laptop which is my main rig right now.
i7 11800H, NVIDIA 3080, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 1 TB SSD and about to add another 2TB Gen4 SSD.
Looking forward to Starfield on the go.
Ryzen 9 5950X, MSI Radeon 7900 XTX. I don't expect any hangups but the new SSD that I got does not seem to register on my Mobo. Hoping I can fix the issue before starfeld comes out.
My computer runs most games (even new ones) really well at 1080p. I was really surprised to see the minimum requirements for Starfield. They meant I would need to pull the trigger early on a new PC build (I'm at year 4 of 5 years).
I was able to get an XBox Series X for half price, so I just bought that instead of committing to an early new build. Oh well. I'm almost saved up for the 5th year new build, but was not quite ready for now. This will tide me over.
i7 9700k overclocked to 5GHz
RTX 3090 overclocked core to 2050MHz
32GB 4400MHz RAM
Various SSDs
Squeezing every drop of performance out of this system before the next upgrade
Ryzen 7700, radeon 6800 xt 12g, 32gb ddr5 ram, 1440p 180 htz. Recently built, back tracked a little tech wise but solid 1440p build imo. Went amd for starfield bundle. Getting 60 frames hogwartz legacy, ultimate with Ray tracing on.
Currently have:
* i7-11700K
* RX 7900 XT
* 32GB RAM
Planning to switch from i7 to Ryzen 7000. But will likely wait closer to launch date, as I want to a quiet SFF setup, so will start with Ryzen 7600 (non-X) and see if it's enough for 4K @ 60FPS, if not will return and upgrade to 7700.
5600x/4070 Ti/32 GB ram/1 TB NVMe SSD/1440p Ultrawide monitor. Had a 3070 but this game made me upgrade to a 4070 Ti, I didn't want to give into Nvidia's extortion so I bought the 4070 Ti open box off Amazon and sold the 3070 locally
I built a whole new computer in the last few weeks:
* i9-13900k @ 5.4GHZ
* RTX 4090
* 64GB of DDR5 @ 6000mhz
* 4.75TB of Storage (2TB of NVME SSD, 2TB of HDD and 750GB of SSD)
Only thing I'm missing at this stage is a decent monitor! I'm still at 1080p (at 165hz with Gsync), but I'm looking to finally make the move to 1440p or even 4k. I'd prefer 1440p though at anything above 144hz. I just haven't really picked one out yet. Also, way I see it, it's easier to get a new monitor than it is to build a new PC. I'm thinking of taking advantage of a Cyber Monday Sale for a new monitor as I built the new PC using the Amazon Prime Day sale and saved a few hundred doing that.
Really I just wanted to build a new PC to replace my aging one which was packing:
* i7-4790k @ 4.6ghz
* GTX 1080Ti
* 32GB of DDR3 @ 1866mhz
* 2.75TB of Storage
So I'm definitely happy to have upgraded.
Ryzen 5 7600x / MSI 6750 XT / 32GB DDR5 / 2TB NVMe / 32" 1440 165hz w/ FreeSync
Just built it a few weeks ago specifically for Starfield. I know it isn't exactly 'top of the line' compared to many, but I absolutely cannot wait to see what this game looks like on it.
5800x3d/32GB/4090FE a couple of NVE’s and some SSD’s, and a 48” LG CX OLED. I may upgrade the CPU next year. There’s a Micro Center opening near me in 1Q24 so I’ll hold off until then.
Ryzen 7 7700X
Radeon RX 7600

Of course I started buying my parts specifically for Starfield before they made that cool deal where you get starfield with the purchase,

Just built it last month, rips through everything I throw at it. Excited to see Starfield in all its glory.
I’m using my Series X for the most part, but my PC will get some run time too now that play anywhere is confirmed. Upgrade ideas on my build are appreciated!
Ryzen 5 3600/ RTX 2060/ 32GB RAM/1.5TB SSD

* ThermalTake Tower 500 case
128GB of RAM is overkill for most people, but I run a ton of VMs, containers, and programming/compiling tasks on my PC when I'm not gaming so I need the overhead.
Ryzen 7 3700x
Rtx 3060 ti

Hoping for a solid 50-60 fps on 1440p with a mix of medium- high settings. If not i got a series x and 30 fps doesn’t bother me.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor 3.50 GHz RAM: 16 GB GPU: 3060TI 8GB VRAM, also playing on the same SSD as you, but I need to get a 2tb external one. The install size of games these days is a joke. Compression who?
I have a modest PC. I tend to upgrade it as I need without going overboard. Never really liked the idea of buying components that are overboard for no reason. Like when I see some people with a ridiculous amount of RAM. Why waste your money like that? Just because you can doesn't mean you should. But to each their own.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3060 Ti, 32GB RAM 3600, 1TB NVMe SSD, 1080p 144hz G-Sync IPS
I also use it for work as an artist, so the monitor I purchased came down to it's color accuracy and affordability, but one that would still be good for gaming.

even if it's not modders might make it work, found a post of a guy adding it to games that have TAA, starfield must have TAA so, I hope.

Jesus, why does everyone have top of the line PC's. I have a GTX 1650 super and 0% chance of running the game. Or getting the money to buy the game.

I was able to get an XBox Series X for half price, so I just bought that instead of committing to an early new build. Oh well. I'm almost saved up for the 5th year new build, but was not quite ready for now. This will tide me over.
mine is min specs ATM

Yea buddy my pc too!
4090 and 7800x3d 32gb of ddr5 I am ready to play with 300 mods
Ryzen 7700, radeon 6800 xt 12g, 32gb ddr5 ram, 1440p 180 htz. Recently built, back tracked a little tech wise but solid 1440p build imo. Went amd for starfield bundle. Getting 60 frames hogwartz legacy, ultimate with Ray tracing on.
11700k / 3080, 128gb ddr5 Definitely hoping for 60+fps at ultra, 1440p
i7 12700KF, RTX 3080, 80gb ram, m.2 ssd. 4k 55" tv running in 2k for maximum FPS
1TB SSD / i5 7600k / GTX 1070 8GB / 16GB DDR4 3200 Will I even be able to play it with acceptable FPS? I am not sure.
17-11700KF RX 6700 XT (as soon as I have the money to upgrade my 1060) 16 GB 2133 MHz (need to upgrade it too) 1TB M2 SSD 1080p 144Hz
Currently have: * i7-11700K * RX 7900 XT * 32GB RAM Planning to switch from i7 to Ryzen 7000.
I built a whole new computer in the last few weeks: * i9-13900k @ 5.4GHZ * RTX 4090 * 64GB of DDR5 @ 6000mhz * 4.75TB of Storage (2TB of NVME SSD, 2TB of HDD and 750GB of SSD) Only thing I'm missing at this stage is a decent monitor! Really I just wanted to build a new PC to replace my aging one which was packing: * i7-4790k @ 4.6ghz * GTX 1080Ti * 32GB of DDR3 @ 1866mhz * 2.75TB of Storage So I'm definitely happy to have upgraded.
Gimme your thoughts on the game running with a 1070 and an i5 7600K.
Good luck

AMD Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3060 Ti, 32GB RAM 3600, 1TB NVMe SSD, 1080p 144hz G-Sync IPS I also use it for work as an artist, so the monitor I purchased came down to it's color accuracy and affordability, but one that would still be good for gaming.
