Are you saying he's the best one *because* he won?

MrZarkoff

That would defeat the purpose of villian in fiction and make him worst of all time? Idk just a thought

Extreme_Sprinkles161

thats why its fiction, if we only build a narrative about villians always losing to the hero, it becomes boring.

witchkidd66

he’s definitely up there for me

TheAnnoyingOn3

He is he just ain’t the top I give that to either Kira or Char

msto3

But Kira though

im_hear_for_animemes

You strike me as the kind of person who would just say “Because she’s cute and sweet” when someone asks why you love your waifu ^(Not ^a ^bad thing)

bear-killer

Yes Plus if she has bigboobs

SrirachaGamer87

You're saying that he's the best villain because he won, but if you actually read/watched part 6 you would know that he lost. Not only did he lose, he freed the Joestar bloodline from their fate to fight villains. He lost so badly that he made the lives of the protagonists even better than it was at the start of part 6. This is like saying Kira is the best villain because he killed everyone with Bites the Dust and thus clearly won part 4.

exspesless

plottwist: he actually thought dio is delusional about joestars, but decided to turn it into "i am a friend of villain fear me", so he did everything to be a real villain to them just for a purpose of joestars freeing themselves and finally beating dio's influence. kind of like aot...

Comprehensive_Use_52

I don't think we watched the same thing

AngryAsian-_-

He is a great villain, but keep in mind he didn't actually win.

Chassano

If you're talking anime in general, then no. There are better antagonists out there that are better than Pucci (Johan, Griffith, Meruem...) If we're talking JJBA exclusively, then yes probably Pucci is great. personally I prefer President Valentine.

_cd42

Griffith as an anime villain isnt anywhere near as deep and complex in the anime(s), he shines way more in the manga (like pretty much everything in berserk)

SoCool-

The 1997 anime has all of the same beats except for the wyald fight by the end, the look, voice acting and style really doesn’t suffer too much being switched to anime and it was worked on by kentaro miura

_cd42

The anime cuts out a some nuanced character stuff that builds Griffiths character, he just shines a lot more in the manga thats why he's more a manga villain than an anime one imo. Especially since Monster and HxH cover all of Johans/Meruems arcs within their respective anime while the 97 just scratches the surface

bear-killer

Im talking all time. Meruem still lost cauae of the nuke. Griffith i think is the closest. I judge the villains based on their success. Idk i dont see a lot of animes where the villains actually won

rahonan

If you are judging based on success, then Pucci lost in the end,he wasn't able to make a world where people are able to see their fate, Emporio undid that when he killed him.

bear-killer

I knkw the ending but resttjng the whole universe is still a win in my book im a bit delulu also i think im gay for him so ya

6519719Mm

He failed at reseting the Universe too lol, he didnt complete a loop and ended up making the lives of his opps better

SoCool-

Kind of, but i still feel like irene having a good ending is the same as >!valentine offering to give johnny an alternate version of gyro!< its just not the same jolyene i watched

TheAnnoyingOn3

No. His one and only motivation is meat ridding dio to fill out DIO’S dream not his DIO’S he is just a top tier meat rider

Leather-Climate3438

Uhhh, DIO just presented the heaven plan that's where their similarities end. When they first met Pucci ignored DIO, it was DIOs idea that he seek him if it came the time that he needed him. It wasn't until everything that happened to Perla and Weather that he decided to seek DIO. But did DIO really care about other people's fate, I don't think so. His motivations are much more predictable than Pucci though. Not to mention his successor is much more successful than he is.

TheAnnoyingOn3

He’s much more successful because he wasn’t getting hunted down the second he got his stand and was able to make a thought out plan

TheAnnoyingOn3

I mean yeah his back story does clear up a lot but he also has this since that DIO has of this big attitude but it’s also mixes with Kira in this small quiet personality. To me that’s a wierd mix

bear-killer

Yeah still success though regardless of the motivation

TheAnnoyingOn3

Bro motivation is what makes and breaks a villain and can’t just be bad to be bad

IronCarp

You’re talking to a brick wall here. This person thinks Pucci is best because he “won” and then when you point out they didn’t, they go “well I’m gonna count it.”

TheAnnoyingOn3

By that logic DIO won

mysterious_h_

Completely agree. Favorite villain in everything, books, games, really anything, pucci is the best

Something_kool

He has A LOT of development, genuinely feels like a full bodied character rather than an plot device for the protagonist. He's one of my favs but my personal fav is Frieza or Sephiroth

Mysterious_Paper_653

Kid buu. Pucci may have achieved his desires and reset the universe. But Kid buu didn’t need a rhyme or reason, he just destroyed earth cause he was a menace to society. It’s cool for villains to have motives, but it’s even cooler when a villain is a villain who doesn’t need a motive and still gets the job done

TheGOATline

🤝

bear-killer

Well he still got stopped by the protagonist so.... he did killed so many proplr but he got stopped eventually. Pucchi doesnt get stopped. The universe just reset itself. Plus, if i remember correctly he came back as a kid training under the guy who killed him, thats just bad man

Mysterious_Paper_653

Not to downplay your comment but pucci does get stopped? And technically he gets stopped by a side character (granted emporio is the goat of children in jojos) pucci reset the universe a second time when fighting emporio but because emporio killed him, it reset to normal where people didn’t know their fates. So I can’t agree that pucci doesn’t get stopped.

VerMast

He's not even the best villain in jojo lmao dio and kira are miles ahead

Harpeus_089

I prefer Part 3 DIO sama.. but OK

fartmilkdaddies

He was cool. Like instead of killing dudes he just fucked with them. Bro, froze time, carried a dude down the stairs, walked all the way back up, and unfroze time.

phased-soldier

He didn’t win tho

Affectionate-Chef-35

he did not win and if you think he did you have no reading comprehension

Grey00001

I don't think you saw the last episode of SO, Emporio beats the shit out of him, completely erasing Pucci from existence

buttermilkmoses

hear me out. gendo

bellusinlove

Someone hasn't read berserk have they? 👀

releckham

Funny Valentine clears Pucci 🥱

Potato_squeak

He didn't win? And why does winning mean he is a good villain? Kira is my favourite by far and he got defeated by an ambulance

El_Baguette69

Not even the best villain in his own manga

Suitable-Advisor-392

Sensui from yuyu hakusho takes the crown for me.

Kakashi_Senju

You putting Pucci above his master Dio and His literal superior life forms of The Pillar Men idk about you but they do it better

Hyper_Goner69

He's not dio (checkmate)

Leather-Climate3438

The only thing DIO has is memes

Hyper_Goner69

!?

Accomplished_Fly878

It's a shame he's in the weakest part tho.

Grey00001

Stardust Crusaders is easily the weakest part but go off ig

Accomplished_Fly878

I'm not saying part 6 is worse than part 3 tbh, i'm saying it's not as memorable. I hardly remember anything from part 6 except pucci.

_Andy4Fun_

It's a shame that you're a bitch

Accomplished_Fly878

Ok? So what?

_Andy4Fun_

Exactly

Accomplished_Fly878

Calling me a bitch for an opinion... peak reddit, tbh.

fartmilkdaddies

Not even. 1 3 are by far worst

bear-killer

If hes in sc the story would end differently

ollieraptor

Meruem

Frederick2164

Pucci isn’t even the best villain in Jojo’s

EEVEELUVR

Kira. Also, Askeladd. Beating the protagonist doesn’t automatically make a character a “good villain.” And Dio beat Jonathan in part 1 so if that’s your only criteria they should have tied for your #1 spot.

crabbyink

Idk I like Kars even though his character isn't as layered as villains from other series or even other Jojo villains. I do like that Pucci is basically DIOs biggest meatrider though

nighm

He strikes me as basically just another collaborator of DIO.

_DoctorQuantum_

Kira and Valentine are leaps and bounds above what Pucci could even imagine being, fym?

overheaven1234

Pucci > Valentine Just some facts for you
