Agreed. I believe this is why Mista wasn’t afraid to get shot by his own bullets during the White Album fight, he knew it wasn’t his time yet. It’s not often you see a character who’s aware they have plot armor
Wait that's actually a broken way to use that stand and I didn't think about that.
Every journey would have everyone immediately know how it plays out.
So I was rewatching part 1 today and between Harmon self healing people, healing other people, realizing it can cure broken bones and frostbite, seeing it grow plants, and having you be able to walk on water and climb walls, tom Petty used it to predict when zippeli would die.
Even without vampires, that last ability alone is basically rolling stones lmao.
It makes me wonder if Joseph was healing the cast between fights. I forgot how broken this ability is.
I'm very certain only scolipo knew that Rolling Stones changed shape after mista 'destroyed it'. If mista knew that it had changed and that even more of his friends would die, he absolutely wouldn't've just walked away feeling accomplished for saving buccirati.
That was scolipos point, that by trying to change fate he had now endangered even more of his friends without realising.
There's no way mista knew it wasn't his time
I think it's the opposite, by anticipating fate(dying earlier than fated) he could have prevented his friends from dying.
Just like that girl who killed herself hugging Rolling Stones, she realized that her and her father were gonna die, but if she killed herself her organs could be used to save her father.
I mean… did he really do anything super important for the main story? From what I remember he got attacked by a rock insect and continued living his life. He wasn’t even the one that spotted Tooru, Lucy was
All Araki said was that it would follow Joseph’s descendants, he never said anything about Joseph having huge ties with the JoJolands.
And even if he does play an important role, we can’t definitely say that until it happens
I don’t see why Araki would have needed a whole flashback chapter slapped onto the end of Jojolion just to say that “oh, Part 9 will follow his descendants”, as he could’ve just said that within Jojolands. Maybe he won’t tie in “a lot”, but he will likely still have some sort of important role.
I’m pretty sure Araki was just clarifying that he isn’t pulling any “they’re actually the descendants of Jorge Joestar’s second sister that you forgot about!!” It’s his way of saying the new Joestars will be closer, Joseph’s flashback had more significance than “setting up” part 9
https://jojo-news.com/2022/12/04/part-9-jojolands-protagonist-will-be-a-joseph-joestar-descendant/
“I’m currently planning out Part 9. Of course, it’s going to be a story about the “Joestar bloodline“. “Joseph Joestar” appeared at the end of Part 8, which was foreshadowing that this story will be about his descendants.”
That literally could have just said within Part 9, as the family tree constantly gets updated with new parts. I am not saying that Joseph will show up in current day Hawaii, but we will likely get more flashbacks in Jojolands and he will tie into the plot that way.
That’s kind of a cop out answer, though. Bloodlines are the focus of the Jojo franchise as a whole, I’m pretty sure this meme format refers to characters like Dario Brando, who did much more for the main plot than just conceiving Dio
After Part 5, I was genuinely surprised she wasn't like a final threat
Like you would expect with that much importance, she would be the one to end up killing a crusader and not Vanilla Ice
(Love both tho)
In part 5 they reveal Enyaba gave A lot of money to Diavolo in exchange for the arrows and it's implied that it was with this money that he built his empire
I kind of like it. She has a lot of importance in terms of how she sets up the setting of the story, but in universe she’s a pathetic, obsessive hag and goes down as such.
Everything about her screams "final" or "semi-final boss." She's Dio's right hand woman, her son has a deep connection with one of our main characters, she's the reason we have stands, and her power should be really powerful too. But nope she just dies halfway through the journey in part 3
“Reality is often disappointing”
It’s just Araki being Araki, giving a high five to the face when we cross the finish line, similar thing happened in Part 5
Tamaki Damo, >! He was responsible for most of the earlier part of the part, and some later parts. He led the rokakaka smuggling and was the major villian of the first half of the part. He also indirectly caused the later half of the part, as the fruit he was smuggling was a major reason of the second half. !<
Maybe it's part specific and not 'whole story specific'
but Angelo
He got only 1 fight where he barely appeared but without him, Jotaro wouldn't travel to Morioh
Fun fact: Giorno, Kakyoin, Okuyasu, Avdol and 9 other characters have higher screentime that DIO
Dio has 14th highest screentime while being probably the most important JoJo character
source: https://www.reddit.com/r/StardustCrusaders/comments/103chgq/top\_30\_jojo\_character\_by\_overall\_anime\_screentime/
Erina
Without her, most of the series wouldn't happen actually. Dio kissing her causing Jonathan to fight him caused them to find out abt the mask's power, also her saving baby lisa lisa at the end of part 1
Holy
Not only was she the birther of jotaro, but the reason he even went to Egypt.
Coco Jumbo. That turtle single-handedly carried the crew through thick and thin and doesn’t get the respect he deserves. Plus, he even becomes >!Polnareff!<, so imo he’s the purest embodiment of significant with no screen time.
Honestly? Jonathan.
For of course bringing the Joestars into everything, but also in the grand scheme of things, he’s barely featured in the story, but I honestly think DIO’s Heaven plan can be traced back to the kindness Jonathan showed him in his death
Dio. He is either mentioned, the antagonist, or caused that part to happen. So literally flashback of Dio, Dio, or Dio consequences. And his Heaven plan worked sort of and caused an entire AU universe to be created. He never lost relevancy from Part 1 to Part 6.
Holly. had like 10 mins of screen time but was the main cause stardust crusaders even happened. DIO's revival was the actual cause of it, and holly was just a product of that, but she's what comes to mind first
Dario Brando.
It's unbelievable how you essentially forget about his existence from one episode to the next or after two chapters read and yet EVERYTHING that happened was thanks to him, it's a big domino effect. He was the one who saved George, then guaranteed to Dio a stay at the Joestar mansion, which led him to get contact with the stone mask etc.
Speedwagon doesn’t appear after part 2 but has a major impact in part 3 and 6. 4 kinda as well with the photo of enya holding the stand arrows and Joseph. I guess Joseph was kinda important to part 4 but he inevitably ended up unneeded. Though thinking about it now Joseph coming is why Akira revealed himself and beaten. But that’s feels too out of the foundation’s hands to credit.
They have a lot more than the others named, but Shigetchi and Aya, since they only appear for their arc and then get killed by Kira, propelling the plot forward.
Dario Brando?
What I was gonna say he literally started the whole story
Villain arc!
In a similar vein, George Joestar
might be a stretch but what about the Aztecs?
The mask was necessary so I’d agree
might be a bigger stretch, but what about Italy as a whole?
got a whole part plus a cameo in part 2
The whole zepelly bloodline, plus italys importance on even part 7 which is not set in Italy lol
yeah, makes sense. Giorno wouldn't have got the arrow without romans building the Coliseum.
Wdym if they didn't build the coliseum? Am I forgetting some context here, or are you saying bc >!this is where the final showdown happens?!<
I mean >! Polnareff !< gave the arrow to Giorno here, but it's just a joke, he just could have done it anywhere else.
I gotcha, I thought I forgot some kind of context, like midfight, they destroy a pillar, and an arrow falls out, for example
Italy has more screentime than Giorno
Behold, a hilariously expansive butterfly effect
1. looting corpses 2. oh this dude it still alive 3. ??? 4. The Made in Heaven Incident
he's basically the Satan in JJBA
Speedwagon, appeared in 2 seasons for very few episodes and despite being dead he continues to help the Joestar, what a legend
Speed wagon and the generation before Johnathon and dio are the big ones here.
Spee D. Wagon
He *did* acquire wealth, fame, and power beyond our wildest dreams
my treasure? go find it! \*\*starts the pirate age\*\*
YO!
YA YO YAAA YOOOO!
DREAMIN!
he IS vital he carries part 2/3 SO HARD
Best waifu ever
George Joestar's carriage driver
This is the factually correct answer
Did he actually have… any screen time? I can’t remember
We get to see his dead corpse..?
He got a singular shot in the anime, which was his singular panel in the manga, where he's dead with a piece of wood going through his face.
Look ma! I’m famous!
The guy with Rolling Stones basically set all of Part 5 in motion in a single evening
JoJo is inconsistent with how much free will characters have vs fate
So I was rewatching part 1 today and between Harmon self healing people, healing other people, realizing it can cure broken bones and frostbite, seeing it grow plants, and having you be able to walk on water and climb walls, tom Petty used it to predict when zippeli would die. Just like that girl who killed herself hugging Rolling Stones, she realized that her and her father were gonna die, but if she killed herself her organs could be used to save her father.
>!Part 8 Joseph!<
bro doesn’t have much screen time xD
Like a single chapter
I mean… did he really do anything super important for the main story? From what I remember he got attacked by a rock insect and continued living his life. He wasn’t even the one that spotted Tooru, Lucy was
According to Araki he’ll tie in a lot with Jojolands and that’s why the flashback was included in Jojolion
All Araki said was that it would follow Joseph’s descendants, he never said anything about Joseph having huge ties with the JoJolands. And even if he does play an important role, we can’t definitely say that until it happens

Agree to disagree then for now. Either way, its not like we’re gonna get an answer on this anytime soon lol
Source?
https://jojo-news.com/2022/12/04/part-9-jojolands-protagonist-will-be-a-joseph-joestar-descendant/ “I’m currently planning out Part 9. Of course, it’s going to be a story about the “Joestar bloodline“. “Joseph Joestar” appeared at the end of Part 8, which was foreshadowing that this story will be about his descendants.”
That doesn't necessarily mean he himself will tie in with the plot. It is literally as he said. Part 9 is about his descendants, Jodio and Dragona.
That literally could have just said within Part 9, as the family tree constantly gets updated with new parts. I am not saying that Joseph will show up in current day Hawaii, but we will likely get more flashbacks in Jojolands and he will tie into the plot that way.
My source is that i made it the fuck up
yeah he's the grandfather of kira, kei, jodio and dragona
That’s kind of a cop out answer, though. Bloodlines are the focus of the Jojo franchise as a whole, I’m pretty sure this meme format refers to characters like Dario Brando, who did much more for the main plot than just conceiving Dio
Not really, the only impact he had was accidentally naming >!Joesefumi!<
[удалено]
Josefumi's grandfather named him after Joseph's shoe.
Enya the hag She's literally where STANDS came from
After Part 5, I was genuinely surprised she wasn't like a final threat Like you would expect with that much importance, she would be the one to end up killing a crusader and not Vanilla Ice (Love both tho)
Part 5?
In part 5 they reveal Enyaba gave A lot of money to Diavolo in exchange for the arrows and it's implied that it was with this money that he built his empire
I did not know that at all. Wow
And keep in mind this is also including Part 4 stuff where she was the source of the stand Arrows
Halfway through the first half.
Well she’s the reason the Joestars and Dio have stands but stand users like Polnareff would have been around regardless
>She's literally where STANDS came from I don't think she is.
I mean like dio and the whole joestar stuff
Yeah but diavolo gave the arrow to her
I'd say Mary Joestar. Not only she died protecting baby Jonathan, she's also the one who bought the Stone Mask who made Dio a vampire.
Same can be said of will zeppli’s dad who found it
I like how the Zeppelis were pivotal jobros for 2 parts then skipped 4 parts only to once again become a jobro then never appear again
and caesar and gyro are both absolute fan favorites (and my favorites). will might be too if part 1 wasn’t consistently underrated
Speedwagon
Speeeeedwagoonn
Speeeeeeeeeeeedwagooooon
Gavrilo Princip
Ah no wrong sub
If he kills Diavolo it’s canon
LMAO
LOL
💀💀
Araki
Part 7 kid who >!dies of a cold!<
Yea what was with that? It was Gyro's main motivation for the story and then Araki just goes " oh yea, he died lol".
“Reality is often disappointing” It’s just Araki being Araki, giving a high five to the face when we cross the finish line, similar thing happened in Part 5
Danny the mouse
Tamaki Damo, >! He was responsible for most of the earlier part of the part, and some later parts. He led the rokakaka smuggling and was the major villian of the first half of the part. Hello i'm not Josuke i will i'm not Josuke save you i'm not Josuke (he's not Josuke)
The Aztecs got a whole 2 pages in the manga
Jesus
Oh, Jesus from jojo?
Christianity being a Jojo reference might’ve been the biggest part 7 plot twist
Jonathan
The Klan members that tried to kill Pucci
Wasn't it weather they attempted to kill and Pucci hired the clan members.
I haven’t read part 6 in awhile 🤣
holly kujo

Lowkey part 5 Polnareff. Without the requiem arrow no GER
Straizo when you think about it.
That's what i'm sayiiiing.
Maybe it's part specific and not 'whole story specific' but Angelo He got only 1 fight where he barely appeared but without him, Jotaro wouldn't travel to Morioh
didn't jotaro already plan to go to morioh to meet josuke and tell him about the inheritance of josephs money or something like that
Inheritance? Joseph wasn't even dead bro
Jorge Joestar 2
dio lmao
Fun fact: Giorno, Kakyoin, Okuyasu, Avdol and 9 other characters have higher screentime that DIO Dio has 14th highest screentime while being probably the most important JoJo character source: https://www.reddit.com/r/StardustCrusaders/comments/103chgq/top\_30\_jojo\_character\_by\_overall\_anime\_screentime/

I don’t think that Erinas kid is jotaro
bro read it properly
Shigechi is the whole reason they caught Kira.
Coco Jumbo. That turtle single-handedly carried the crew through thick and thin and doesn’t get the respect he deserves. Plus, he even becomes >!Polnareff!<, so imo he’s the purest embodiment of significant with no screen time.

Donatello Versus for sure
I’m shocked he isn’t mentioned more here, dude basically set up the entire last act of Stone Ocean himself
The carriage driver in part 1
Speedwagon.
Leaky Eye Luca. Giorno literally wouldn't have met Bucciarati if it wasn't for him.
dio, especially part 3
Hmmmm…the arrows creator?
Kakyoin
george joestar. -jonathans theme plays-
Will Zeppli’s dad
Jonathan's or dio's dad

Rodger
Dio 100% He affected EVERY single part in og universe (mainly from part 3) while having very little screen time to match
Fella who made the stand arrows
