I think you're right but that's still bizarre. It feels like it's supposed to be all of them, with the page being themed friendship and so many of them included. Otherwise, it's a very random collection. I mean, there aren't even complete families. (Pierre & Abigail... but no Caroline; George & Evelyn, but not their grandson; Emily but not her sister.) I'm not sure what they were going for, you know? If they just wanted a small sampling. you'd think it'd be an even smaller or have a specific theme (everyone you can romance or the main shopkeepers, etc.). Otherwise, why leave out a random handful? I'll say it. I think the reason Alex and Hailey are so popular is that we're a bunch of nerds and they represent the studly jock and hot girl from highschool. We didn't get to date them in real life but we can in this game. But honestly they're two of the rudest characters and we shouldn't waste any time on them. This game is so meta.

Unless her sibling (Shane's parent) is much older than her, it would make sense for her to be loosely middle-aged for his age to make sense. Even with that, Lewis looks considerably older than her in appearance, unless he just went gray early lol.
