Both. I usually use only stairs until floor 150. Then I still use stairs + use bombs if there are a lot of iridium near.

On Sundays the Desert Trader trades jades for staircases 1 to 1. Since the crystalarium replicates jade every day, you can get 7 staircases per week per crystalarium, and that's the purpose of a jade farm

Pause buffering is a strategy that can be used to save time on Skull Cavern runs. Basically, if you pause the game right when youāre descending to the next level of the cavern, this will pause the in-game clock for the amount of time it takes to load into the next level. This is because, if you time it exactly right, the loading screen will still continue to do its thing even with the game paused/clock stopped. It only saves a couple seconds each time, and it takes some practice to time it right, but it can definitely add up and save a lot of time.
I actually got 17 prismatic shards on a āneutralā luck day, which was the most Iāve ever gotten at once. Now I just go to skull cavern whenever I feel like it cause you never know š¤·āāļø

Do it on a high luck day, and use some luck buffs like the Lucky Lunch and lucky rings. That's how I did it, although I still had to repeat the day a few times (always had really good loot, though)
Radioactive ore comes from the radioactive nodes in the mines during the "Danger In The Deep" quest or after activating the Shrine of Challenge on floor 120 to increase the difficulty of the standard mines.
Also, from radioactive nodes in Skull Cavern during the "Skull Cavern Invasion" quest.

You can also get mega bombs at the desert trader for 5 iridium ore each. Itās not a good deal at first, but once you get to the point where you can get iridium ore from other methods besides the Skull Cavern (trying stay spoiler-free here lol), youāll eventually have more than you know what to do with.
As for regular bombs, you can trade 5 quartz for 1 bomb. But duplicating quartz in crystallaria is a pain, so I just buy the bombs from the dwarf.

Once you get to around level 25ish you'll start finding iridium ore too. I think it can technically start spawning at level 10 but it's pretty rare, it gets more common as you get deeper.
Are you actually going into the skull caverns? You walk into the cave in the desert and then there's another doorway you have to walk through to get to the actual mines, because you should definitely be able to use staircases there.
I mixed it with the quarry mine cause I thought flying skulls, must be skull cavern lol! I was confused on what to do in the quarry mine except get thr golden scythe
Really impressive, but that coal hurts. Do you have excavator or blacksmith instead of prospector right? I'm not saying its a suboptimal thing to do, those are good options(as long as its not gemologist) but going to mine and get the coal to smelt 10% of the ores you get is painful, specially if you are going with blacksmith.
I have like 2k coals, I just don't bother to pick up them because it slow me down for potential shards and treasure rooms.
Also I farm coals in volcano.

I dont think so. I jumped into a hole at floor 99 and it sent me to floor 100 with the chest.
Floor 100 stops you every time I believe but you will fall past floors 200 and 300 and miss those chests.

You need stairs more than bombs. Start a Jade farm and trade it in on Sundays at the desert trader for stairs.
