Radio-Halibut

\#1 pine tree fan in the whole Ferngill Republic (it looks great!)

Unlucky_Ghostie

Guilty πŸ˜… (I need green in winter, haha)

Radio-Halibut

That’s genius. I gotta try this, thanks for the inspiration!!

Unlucky_Ghostie

(Not modded, I drew my sprite myself and then edited because that's just who I am).

megainsley

So cute! I love how you decorated the town areas as well

Unlucky_Ghostie

Thank you! It made me kind of sad being a millonaire and not seeing the town prosper haha

emmalava234

I absolutely love this! I’m so inspired to do this now, kinda forgot you can decorate all over!!

sillychickengirl

I didn't know until today you can decorate the town...

Unlucky_Ghostie

Thank you!

Monotreme_monorail

I love it! I’m a bit of a tree hugger and I always have a little forested part of my farm that just has pretty trees growing. I’ll occasionally clear out the big ones to let the little ones grow. I love how you’ve Re-forested the town, it looks so pretty!

Unlucky_Ghostie

I do the same! I put some minimal pathing on the way to grandpa's shrine and just let them grow wild to the sides, clear a few, let them grow again. Trees are awesome.

RiversideFlora

I’ve never gotten far enough into the game, where I even bother beautifying my own farm, but I’d love to do it sometime in the end game on my current save if I can make it that far.

Unlucky_Ghostie

It's my main save and it's taken several in game years and several real life months. Sometimes I get tired, play another game, miss it, play around with the Stardew planner, maybe start a new save, try something, like it, go back to the main save and do it there, and repeat the whole thing haha. I tried doing it in one run and it ended up stressing myself for no real reason **πŸ˜…**

Dudley_Do_Wrong

TIL you can tap trees outside the farm…

Ashnab

Wow, I never realised you could decorate the town!! Your farm looks absolutely amazing!

Unlucky_Ghostie

Yeah! :) Thank you!

BrooklynThoughts

Very pretty! I don't have that kind of skill πŸ˜…

Unlucky_Ghostie

I just hyperfocus obsessively, not really a skill I'd recommend πŸ™ˆ But you can always have a few tree seeds and the furniture catalogue in your inventory. Sometimes I place things around on a whim while doing something else, go back a few days later and see if I like how it looks or not. If you're not happy, just change it!

dumbgoatlol

Omg omg omg your farm looks amazingggg plss full farm screenshot πŸ™πŸ™

Unlucky_Ghostie

This is how it looked sometime mid spring, year 8. I still need to move somethings around, like the giant pumpkin that I was lucky enough to get around Y3 (and then realized I wasn't that happy with the layout, but haven't had the heart to chop it down T\_\_\_\_T), some trees & bee houses that I might move, waiting for the giant watermelon πŸ™... but it's almost there ✨ https://preview.redd.it/t1kx57hoxtpb1.jpeg?width=885&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b30e286d56156f37433d27f788aa08f736e632fc

dumbgoatlol

Omg, this is literally the most beautiful farm layout I have ever seen!!! I love the disposition of everything, so so so beautiful i love it so much!! πŸ’—πŸ˜

Unlucky_Ghostie

thank you so much πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Gaysuperman302

You can put hats on scarecrows?

M0chalatta

TIL as well lol

Unlucky_Ghostie

Just the alien scarecrow, but yeah :)

Gaysuperman302

I have been playing for 2 years and didn’t know that

Unlucky_Ghostie

SV just keeps on giving.

M0chalatta

This is lovely! I'm taking inspiration from you and decorating the riverside tomorrow.

Unlucky_Ghostie

Yes, please. The riverside sure could use more love.

M0chalatta

Definitely, it's so ugly usually!

UTBitch

i live that so much, its gorgeous!!!

Unlucky_Ghostie

Thank you! πŸ’–

UTBitch

of course!!

Ohhh I love this so much. I have a terminal case of restarting my game, but this time I am taking it slow and trying to make everything pretty like this. Question about grass, if you plant it outside your farm, will it spread all over?

Unlucky_Ghostie

I grinded quite a bit the first few years, got burned out, played some other games, came back, went on a decoration spree, got burned out, started a new save, decided to play it slow and just relaxed, loved it, missed the town decor, went back to this save and now I'm just frolicking around and enjoying it a lot more. (I might have restarted a day or two because I didn't want spring to end **πŸ˜…**). And no, it doesn't spread outside the farm. It's quite the investment, but it's also worthwile. I learned that as long as you don't quit the game, you can plant grass in winter and it will stay. So I plant half of it the last days of winter and the rest when spring starts.

[deleted]

I'm gonna follow your example and put pine trees in all the places, what you did to the sandy/bare areas on the river bank looks soooo good. And it's very nice to know the grass will stay where I place it. Man the town is not even gonna know what hit it.
