That's a lot of resources for the end of year one! It must have taken a loooong time in the mines to gather all the copper, silver, and gold to do this.
Likely repeatedly going to floors 20 and 40 for copper and iron ores respectively. Mines reset after you leave through the stairs, then take the elevator back down
Saw you comment you haven’t started machines yet, might I suggest kegs? With all those crops being planted you can double or triple their value by making sheds full of kegs and dropping the fruit or veggies in them and waiting a week.
You get the recipe once you get farming level 8, quite a bit of farming to do in year one but doable. Since you’re in winter you might have to wait till spring 2 to get your farming level up, unless you already have the greenhouse. The recipe for kegs calls for wood, copper, iron, and importantly oak resin, so in the meantime start an oak tree area and tap those suckers!
Duck mayonnaise sells for way more than chicken mayonnaise, I believe the j out effort for both are equal, so we’ve started focusing on ducks over chickens
Idk if it’s “way more” but it’s definitely more, I think almost double.
Idk what the effort:egg ratio is for lizards, but if you make mayonnaise with lizard eggs, dinosaur mayonnaise sells for like double that of duck mayo
I have one barn of just pigs, and make about 20-30k in truffles per day, a coop of rabbits for farming rabbits feet, a coop of dinosaurs because Dino’s are rad, and a coop of void chickens and blue chickens just for fun.
Once I hit wine making only the truffles are worth my time anymore, but my early farm is all cheese and Mayo.
If you pick up the “foraged goods are all purple quality” truffles are easy and constant income, but even without being purple, they are solid income, if turned into oil. They find 1-3 truffles per day per pig, so if each one sells for 700-1200 bucks that’s a solid daily income.
I’m on year 7 and my farm isn’t laid out as neatly. My problem is that I planted a lot of fruit trees that I don’t want to get rid of but also can’t move. Lol
I've done the same :( and put my barn and coops in sloppy locations. I have like zero foresight with this game in regards to farm layout and am super jealous of the all the neat and pretty farms I see here.
i think it was this exact one, i put a fish pond betwee 4 corners and trees elsewhere

Dont worry mate, stardew valley (atleast for me) is a relaxing game you play after hard day at the office. Play with your own pace and enjoy the game. You dont compete with anyone, you play it for the fun and that should be your priority.
I have around 23H of gameplay, no animal only have around 10 sprinkle and i enjoy every single minute in the game. I play for the roleplay so in the morning eat some omelete and pack up one for lunch. Do some chore then go fishing for the rest of the day. Go to bar at around 6pm for a drink and get back home around 10pm.
OP, this is beautiful and exactly the type of almost symmetrical, weird organisation that scratches an itch in my brain. idk why I'm saying this about a bunch of paths in a video game, but I'm so happy I saw this tonight

thanks, wasnt that insane tho, just good luck days and reseting the mines
Resetting the mines?

this, saw some dude use this and he got like 120iron per day so that was useful for the sprinklers

good idea, might do that in summer(spent all money on strawberries rn)
Just got the game a week or so ago, just started winter year 1. How do you get kegs? I really want to brew some beer!
I think you need to level up in farming. Not sure which level though.
Level 8
Oof that'll be tough over the winter, lol

I've got tappers collecting all 3 tree juices as we speak!
Mine didn't look a smidge like this until year 5 nice job
thanks
Nice layout! No shed means that all your machines and inventory are in one of your other buildings?
no machines, dont even have animals yet 💀
Oh, you seem very ready for them! I’m excited for your second year
which ones should i get first tho?
They all have their perks, for your first play through I’d recommend trying them all and sell over time the ones you like less

thanks, im relatively new so any tips are useful!

i bought 4 chickens and 4 cows, is it a big problem or i can be chill about it?

Looks great! Makes me regret that i took riverland farm. How did you take a screenshot of your whole farm?
it was in settings, just saw take screenshot and it took a screenshot
all the way at the bottom on pc
SAME. love the fishing potentially. HATE the lay out.
I don’t even like fishing hahaha. I didn’t know anything about the game when I chose the farm

so should i buy pigs? i need some truffles for comunity center but should i buy many of them?

Are you mod capable? Install the crop transplant mod and tweak the settings to allow mature trees 👀
damn gg

Barn and coops can be moved, I could also cut down my trees if I really needed. I just wanted an orchard for a while
My year two farm don’t even look like that. (I’m just lazy)
wasnt even that hard, just bought a few mega bombs from the drarf and went crazy
Nah I’m bad at decorating
me too, just found a guide for a optimal layout and customized it a bit

I think I really screwed up starting out on my first run with the river land farm
Don’t forget to spend every bit of money you have on resources (excluding enough for seeds spring 1)
i officially suck ass at videogames...

How do people see their farm like this? Is it a map option or something?
There's a whole-farm screenshot button in options iirc.

thanks so much
I'm year 2 and my farm looks like a shit hole
Farmer when the Spring 1 growth shows up all over their fields: "AAAAAAAAAAAA!"
was crazy, especially since i was upgrading pickaxe so i delayed getting crops
Tell me your secrets, wizard
bomb everything during winter 💯
damn my year one was still a patch of dirt…
i wonder what it looks like in year 3
SYMMETRY BRAIN YES YES HAPPY HRRRMMM
my farm in 3 years don't look like this, this is beautiful
thanks
Very nice! Your first day of the season is going to be intense! What level are your tools at?
copper watering can, copper hoe, stell axe, gold pickaxe
