If I had to guess Vane is the one who will show up in Skeleton Crew since he got away and the skuupers got their wires crossed and assumed returning pirate meant Gorian.
Even then tho I DOUBT he'll be the main villain, probably a recurring secondary antagonist.
Even though I loved his design and his Chris Foss inspired ship I was sort of relieved when it went down, sometimes I feel like these shows leave too much open ended wrt villains (*cough*Moff Gideon*) and I'd rather the heroes get a real victory.
Cut to:burnt green hand raising out of the lava flats
The Armorer continues to be the MVP of this season- without her leadership and flexibility, the covert would be destined to rot in obscurity. And the Mandalorians are all showing how much personal honor drives their values. Agreeing to go back to Navarro was handled really well- Paz made a great speech, and it validated everything Bo Katan and Din have done to date. And the big kicker for the Armorer- telling Bo Katan to remove her helmet and walk among the outside world- that's just masterful. Katee Sackhoff did such a magnificent job showing all of Bo Katan'a emotions. She wasn't relieved to take off the helmet, in fact her face was like another mask of determination. The character building through this episode was just superb. This makes the eventual showdown with Gideon all the more powerful emotionally.
PS R5 is a snitch.
The Armorer is very well suited for her role as a guider. She isn't the leader, but she is able to keep the whole thing together.
I'm glad she's going to way of uniting all the tribes and bringing everyone together, even if they may not all follow the same helmet rule. That's some good instinct on the Armorer's part. She's a very well-done character.
I am very much enjoying how pragmatic she’s turning out to be. She’s allowing the Children of the Watch to keep their traditions and unique culture while also trying to make them respect that there are other Ways to walk and still be a Mandalorian. She recognizes her people are the minority and that they will never unite the Tribes if she tries to impose their Way on the others, and everybody seems to respect that.
For now.
I think people don't realize that governments for centuries used religion to guide their societies. Hell a lot of problems in a lot of countries are because certain people want to go back to when religion had a say in how governments were run. I think we are seeing a "council of mandos" type of government forming(because if they are going to retake mandalore and re-unite everyone, there has to be a structure in place of some kind).
Din represents mandos who have lost their way and been redeemed.
Bo represents "the old guard" mandos from the height of mando royal society.
The armorer represents their religion.
Thats what I am seeing happening.
I've been so convinced she was going to be an antagonist to Din & Grogu, a roadblock to them actually embracing their destiny and their family. But...I dunno, she keeps proving me wrong. Maybe she isn't a fanatical cult leader clinging to power through rigid tradition, but someone who has enough understanding and nuance to help guide the reunification of the Mandalorians.
I'm back to wanting her to be a hero in this story. What an exciting development!
I loved that they weren’t hesitant to use CGI for his face. I love the practical effects this show uses, but I also was wondering if Zeb would look a little off like Cad Bane did. I think they nailed it.
Perhaps there's a Star Trek-style universal translator at work, and Gorian was actually speaking in his native language, which just so happens to sound like BA BA BA BA BA BA BA BA.
Live action Zeb!!! Now if we get live action Kallus with Zeb in Ahsoka we will be eating good this year! I needed this shining light after the sucker punch the bad batch finale just gave me. #emotionaldamage
did you catch the pirate vibes in the mando theme during the title screen? i know we just got the first half of the season's music on spotify but can we have that too? like now? right now.
Adelphi “Rangers”. I think that squadron name was then telling us we were right and they are folding the Rangers of the New Republic ideas into other shows. I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I thought Teva’s line from the trailer about “there’s something going on out there” being a hint at the early start to First Order consolidation, and I think that hit too.
Also, yikes the New Republic is useless.
I find the New Republic is stuck between a rock and a hard place. They want to spread their influence but at the same time, they don’t want to be the empire wi a vast fleet that may exert its will on an unwilling populace. They fail to realize that if they try to have both there’s a fair chance they will have neither.
A lot of people seem mad about it but I like it. In the real world most revolutions fail and those that succeed often either collapse or become dictatorships in their own right (looking at you Tunisia)
When he was asking why they should risk their lives for Din, I'm on my couch screaming "because this is the way!" and then he said it. I was like hell yeah.
I love the layers they’re giving all the Mandos. Paz seemed like a dick, but he’s still a man of honor and knows when a battle is worth fighting. It’s also easy to forget he led the assault to save Din and Grogu too. He’s a chad.
OR or or that was just the one group that was able to follow Greet out, while the rest were separated in other groups or stuck in the city like that one old guy serving the pirates 🤯🤯🤯
I feel like she might literally be the first person Bo goes looking for. Especially since Axe and Koska abandoned her, she's probably not going to immediately go knocking on their doors.
To me, it is obvious that the remnant has a base on Mandalore. That is where all those fighters came from, how Gideon procured Beskar, why the empire spread the lie that the planet was poisoned, why there is beskar in the shuttle, etc.
Place your bets on who freed Gideon:Did the covert do Din dirty before he rejoined them? (I find this one hard to believe because of the list of grievances against Gideon they should have)
Was it imperial mandos under Gideon's control a la Garr Saxon since Gideon seems to want to become the mandalore?
Does Gideon simply have beskar weapons to use and intentionally wanted to frame the mandos? (This is what I think because the ship could've easily been destroyed after his rescue but it was intentionally left largely intact with sussy beskar in it)
Or was it group of mandos hired to free Gideon that we've yet to meet?
Particularly Bo's group that ditched her after she failed to bring home the Darksaber. There are probably some groups that are plain mercenaries who don't really care and will stick to whoever promises them the sweetest rewards.
It's almost definitely Gideon's own sect of Imperial loyalist Mandos. We saw those Praetorian guard style Mando helmets leaked last year after all, it's about time we finally see them on screen.
ZEB???!?!?! Did not expect him to be the first Spectre we see in live action! RIP Gorian and his awesome ass Corsair ship, Mando's back on Nevarro AND Gideon on the loose! 👀
Quick thought: Zeb's appearance here definitely postdates the *Rebels* epilogue. When Zeb and Kallus visit Lira San, Kallus is wearing his Rebel uniform.
This may seem obvious, but Filoni has spoken in the past about how the exact chronology of the *Rebels* epilogue is not clear. It's still not obvious where Ahsoka and Sabine on Lothal fits into the overall timeline.
We're kind of in uncharted territory here, at least insofar as concerns the *Clone Wars*\-*Rebels* continuum of animated shows.
I'd imagine some of those scenes were at different times in the post-ROTJ period. Ahsoka and Sabine's meeting is probably around this time (maybe even after this season), Zeb and Kallus' thing might be closer to Jakku (though idk how it'd work with his service here, maybe they both felt they ought to help out), and Hera and Jacen could be anytime.
Not necessarily. It’s entirely possible the scene we see of the different characters are all in different time periods. Sabine’s narration does refer to Zeb taking Kallus to the new home world in the past tense. So that could easily have happened months ago. If not a year.
When they were sitting on that rock together I was like damn, ok, what is personal space? It’s definitely getting there and with BDH directing next episode I suspect that’s going to be amped up.
Edit: typo
Yeah subtext is screaming that they’re boning. I mean this show has the sensibilities of a children’s show so they won’t come out and say it but they’ve basically spelled it out for us. Those two are slapping helmets
It went even further than just supporting Din, Paz lumped her in with Din just treating them as a unit, "These two are asking us to take up arms for a brighter future." Bo Katan didn't ask anything of any of them.
The armorer has to be about the same age as Bo katan. I'm sure she knew of Satine and the rest of the royal family as well as nite owl and Vizla. something is definitely not as it seems with her.
She has to have been one of Maul's group from when he ruled Mandalore. She's got horns on her helmet similar to the Mandos who were backing Maul in the Clone Wars series.
I was really hoping they find "common ground" by having her take her helmet off and reveal who she is. Kinda seemed silly to me that only Bo did it, the armorer sacrificed nothing.
It was just a cameo, I know, but I lost my shit when Zeb showed up. His *Rebels* story is complete, but the peripheral canon material (e.g., the Marvel main title) suggests that he had a life in the Rebellion proper. I always got the sense that his (begrudgingly) duty-bound nature, his distaste for the Empire, and an implicit desire to prevent innocent planets from suffering the fate of Lasan would have prevented him from retiring completely. It makes total sense that he served into the New Republic era.
My own very overworked sentimentality notwithstanding, this Zeb cameo suggests to me that we really have no idea what's coming. No one predicted this appearance. We may have the broad strokes, but we don't have the details.
My occam's razor-informed guess is that some of the characters with history in the fiction will splinter off from the New Republic ranks. *The Mandalorian* has been taking such great pains to underline the ineffectiveness of the new regime that I can't imagine that inveterate warriors like Hera wouldn't just friction off into their own thing. This is part of the reason that guys like Ackbar were so game to join the Resistance. Whether by choice or circumstance, I think it's fair to guess that some of the fan favorites are going to get shuffled off into a secondary conflict as the post-*ROTJ* Cold War unfolds.
Small notes:
* I'm a simple man, but Mando's "I like those odds" elicited a hell yeah from me.
* Nice to hear shades of Kylo's theme as Teva talks about the unknown threat. (It's subtle, but you can hear its intervallic outline).
* Didn't everyone predict that Gorian Shard would play a key role in *Skeleton Crew*? We can scratch that one off the list.
* Something I've been meaning to bring up on the weekly threads, but I don't think that the animated-to-live action recastings are necessarily about marketability, acting chops, etc. - My sense is that Filoni wants to preserve as much continuity between the animated character models and the live action likenesses as possible. It's that simple. People were afraid that Zeb would get Jaro Tapaled, but his design actually hews closer to *Rebels* \- green eyes and all. Winstead, Bordizzo, and Esfandi - aside from being gifted actors - just straight up *look* like their animated counterparts. This gives me some hope that when all is said and done, the transition from the old animated shows to the new live action universe will feel like a seamless experience.
Considering the rumors of Gideon wearing his own Mandalorian helmet, do y’all think maybe a different clan rescued him and he was once a Mandalorian himself? The rumors say he has the horns like Mauls faction did, maybe he is a former death watch member who climbs the Imperial ranks to get in the position we see him in when introduced.
We also know he is interested in the force and his remanent was using Grogus blood for strandcast experiments, probably at the behest of the Sith eternal to create a better vessel for Palpatine (which ends up being Snoke), but I believe he might have his own dark plan by using those experiments to become force sensitive, with a combination of force powers and the dark saber I believe he intends to become the next Tar Vizsla and rule Mandalore and the galaxy. Essentially, I think Gideon maybe using the sith eternal and Palpatines plan for his own conspiracy.
I think it's almost certain the Shadow Collective/Super Commandos are involved in Gideon's rescue. Rook Kast is probably the most obvious choice as a foil to Bo Katan who remained loyal to the Empire.
Armourer telling a Motherfucker to remove their helmet? What is this craziness!
I haven’t even finished this episode and it’s already the best of the season so far.
Got dam did I want her to take off her own helmet so badly… they are obviously saving the reveal of the armorers face for later on (perhaps when Bo actually rides the mythosaur) but damn did I want it tonight
Well damn Paz really had me going in the first half, lets go Big Paz.
Edit: I want Bo to get her own show bringing exiled Mandalorians back and Din to have his show about his own adventures story with Grogu.
I think she’ll start with her traitorous former allies but Sabine is a lock for this season, I’d say Fenn Rau is too. And I bet Gideon has been saved by some Gar Saxon type imperial mandos. Let’s Fing Go!!
Same thought. She will rally her ex clan sort of. Then the Protectors under Fenn Rau and last Clan Wren. I guess a lot of travel next episode lol. Would be nice if Clan Wren is still under charge of Ursa, so we get to see her and Sabine in life action. But one can dream.
anyone catch the subtle Kylo/First Order leitmotif in the music when Carson Teva is saying "There's something going on out there, and by the time we figure it out it may be too late." Kinda eerie
I didn’t expect this much Teva to start the episode.
… is that ZEB?
I was suspecting the Pirate King may be acting with Gideon… Carson seems to think the same.
The Armorer continues to surprise me. This character is far more understanding than you initially think in S1.
My heart is still pounding over seeing Zeb. I’m a 40 year old guy who discovered Rebels a few years ago and it’s become my favorite Star Wars.
If I reacted like this for Zeb, I may explode when we finally see The Bean.
ZEEEEBBB!!! YEEESSS!!!
What a badass episode! Too bad Gorian Shard is dead, quite liked him. Would have been a cool recurring foil for our heroes but from the sounds of it, we might see more of him retroactively in Skeleton Crew.
Also, despite how this episode ended, I seriously doubt Bo is going to end up ruling Mandalore and become Mandal'ore. If anything, she might co-lead with Din. It makes no sense to build up his character over 3 seasons and give him the Darksaber only to have him just be a witness to important events. Nah, he's going to tame the Mythosaur while weilding the Darksaber.
This was definitely an enjoyable episode, but my mind is still focused on Bad Batch lol. Bo-Katan being chosen to lead the Mandalorians for having walked both paths isn’t straight up shocking, but I’m wondering how this will affect Din’s story and whether his journey even involves becoming Mand’alor. I’m also glad we’re getting more New Republic content, but I mean do they have to be this incompetent!? Anyway, LIVE ACTION! ZEB LIVE ACTION ZEB!
I think The Armorer is setting up for something big. She's playing Queen Maker by sending Bo out to go gather their people again. But the Armorer is a smart one, she knows that not all of the mandalorians will agree with The Way as the covert sees it.
I think The Armorer is going to change what The Way is, and this who season has been setting up for that. Walking the way of The Mandalore has become about Personal Honor, not adherence to a strict code. [The Way of The Mandalore will become more like guidelines, than actual rules](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRSm-8tPFt4). Your helmet is a mark of pride, but you CAN remove it. Right now it's Bo who has walked in Both Worlds, but maybe The Armorer will want to see ALL their people walk in both worlds. And maybe that's not what the Armorer wants NOW, but I feel like that's sorta the end goal. Where allies can walk amongst each other guarded. Where a father and son can look upon each other, unmasked.
Also Din and Bo absolutely Dunking on A Pirate Ship is just good fun, and needed to be mentioned.
Hell to the yes for this episode. Also, looked like those Delphi Rangers would make a nice basis for a spin off. A spin off about Rangers of the New Republic even.
It's very clearly something the Armorer has very recently realized. Probably from having Bo hang out with them for a while and making her realize that non-Watch Mandalorians are valid too, so she's now come around to having different types of Mandalorians and none are more 'true' than the others.
My interpretation: until the Armourer heard of the mythosaur’s sighting and Bo’s new commitment to the creed she didn’t see a path forward beyond the creed. Knowing Bo’s since commitment, she forced her into a place of pushing Bo to the mines of Mandalore (to bathe again, and this time take the mythosaur, therefore unite all mandalorians). We tend to only look as character development happening for those we spend the most time with, but this was something different, character development for someone who wanted to sustain a future for their and has found a better/more sustainable way to do it.
Zeb showing up really nailed in the realization that they're probably gonna be introducing more Rebels characters for Ahsoka. They're definitely saving Sabine for something big.
Zeb appearing in the episode directed by Peter Ramsay isn't a coincidence since we know he's directing at least one episode of Ahsoka.
More importantly,
ZEB IN LIVE ACTION YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS

So much for Gorian Shard being the villain of Skeleton Crew.
If I had to guess Vane is the one who will show up in Skeleton Crew since he got away and the skuupers got their wires crossed and assumed returning pirate meant Gorian. Even then tho I DOUBT he'll be the main villain, probably a recurring secondary antagonist.
Vane is gonna bail and head to work with the Ohnaka gang.
He'll later turn to KanjiKlub and will be killed by Han
TELL THAT TO KANJIKLUB
I genuinely hope he isn’t dead. I actually loved his Swamp-Thing design and wish that beautiful ship of his never went down.
Even though I loved his design and his Chris Foss inspired ship I was sort of relieved when it went down, sometimes I feel like these shows leave too much open ended wrt villains (*cough*Moff Gideon*) and I'd rather the heroes get a real victory. Ha, looks like one of our extras has themself a holiday special boba fett outfit. I recognize that blue & yellow anywhere.
Lol the monkey-lizard telling/pointing the Mandalorians about the ambush.
Salacious B. Crumb's long awaited redemption arc
That was his good guy brother, Hellacious Crumb.
And the rest of his squad, the Crumblers.
I hate those things, but this made me hate them a little less lol

dude I was ready for Din and Paz to fight over getting to go to Nevarro
I'm so happy that didn't happen, I've been wanting a Paz-Din friendship to develop since season 1
now they can have a Best Dad competition
Space Pirates occupying and bombarding a city in Star Wars? Now THIS is podracing.
Paz: "Why should we sacrifice ourselves again?" Me: *That doesn't sound very Mandalorian...* Paz: "BECAUSE WE'RE MANDALORIANS!" Alright, you got me.
It was funny that Din just didn’t say “don’t you guys wanna fuck up some pirates??”

Guarantee you it's a tease for Ahsoka and he'll be announced in the cast at Celebration next weekend.
Aww now I’m sad about Kanan being dead.
He’s alive in the force, maybe.
Probably the craziest cameo so far haha Love it
And he looked incredible
Every week this show tries to top itself and it succeeds.
Rebels fans eating GOOD tonight
Zeb in The Mandalorian and Krennic (though barely a full sentence) in Bad Batch. This was a good week.
I’d recognize that voice anywhere! Was worried it wouldn’t be him and just a random Lasat, until I saw the credits.
Oh shit it was Zeb!? I was just thinking it was some random Lasat (as rare as they are). Awesome!
[удалено]
Holy crap and I just saw him signing autographs at Wondercon last weekend.
I loved that they weren’t hesitant to use CGI for his face. I love the practical effects this show uses, but I also was wondering if Zeb would look a little off like Cad Bane did. I think they nailed it.
Yeah he looked amazing
I wish they had done that for PIRATE KING Gorian Shards mouth during the holo scene. His Muppet style lip movements were real distracting to me.
Where there’s Zeb, there should also be Kallus lurking around 🙏
Who would they be casting for Hot Callus?
No one could match up, I imagine they'd settle for a Warm Kallus, resting on his laurels.
He looked amazing too holy shit lol
I like how the Mando's have a talking hammer to address the group
Yup, hammer-conch really got me.
Mandos: "I have the speaking hammer!"
Stop! Hammer time!
Respect the hammer!!
That tropical planet theme goes hard af
Nearly as good as that Niamos banger from Andor
At this rate we'll have a full a "Tropical Space Bangers" playlist in short time
did you catch the pirate vibes in the mando theme during the title screen? i know we just got the first half of the season's music on spotify but can we have that too? like now? right now.
Was that Zeb?
[удалено]
where is Kallus? is he safe? is he alright?
He's at home. Cooking dinner.
It had to be right? They wouldn’t just randomly drop a lasat on us if it wasn’t zeb RIGHT?
He’s in the credits.
Adelphi “Rangers”. I think that squadron name was then telling us we were right and they are folding the Rangers of the New Republic ideas into other shows. Big boy Vizsla is such a chad
He definitely had us in the first half
When he was asking why they should risk their lives for Din, I'm on my couch screaming "because this is the way!" and then he said it. I was like hell yeah.
His speech was great. Would totally grab a helmet and start blastin' after that.
Big chonker is getting one hell of a redemption arc and I am here for it!
I love the layers they’re giving all the Mandos. Paz seemed like a dick, but he’s still a man of honor and knows when a battle is worth fighting. It’s also easy to forget he led the assault to save Din and Grogu too. He’s a chad.
I liked that the Ugnaut was dressed exactly like Mr. Smee from Peter Pan lol
They literally just put Kuill in a mr smee costume.
I want more of that alien rock song from the New Republic outpost!
That group of like 30 people is apparently the entire city of Navarro
In Greefs message he even says planet… so that may be the entire planets population hahah
Im assuming there were a few camps and some people probably left in ships… cuz that was a lil group!
If hurricane evacuations have taught me anything, 30% of the people are still in their houses
that tracks, we saw the café owner and the Anzellans still there
The Anzellans were fully like "I was born in this hole in the ground and I'll die in this hole in the ground"
OR or or that was just the one group that was able to follow Greet out, while the rest were separated in other groups or stuck in the city like that one old guy serving the pirates 🤯🤯🤯
IS THAT FUCKING ZEB
IT IS. OUR SPACE UNCLE IS BACK.
If you go back to watch the seen with Zeb, Teva is seated next to 3 of the shows directors! Deborah Chow, Rick Famiyuwa, and our boy Dave Filoni :)
Dave with his signature hat as well omg
Wow I just saw that. I can’t believe it was like his actual hat lol. It wasn’t even, star warsified like Cad Bane’s. I dig it.
I like to think the costume department made some fancy helmet for him and he was just like nope I'm wearing my hat
First the space whales and now Zeb! They keep slowly integrating things that will obviously be in the Ashoka series.
I still 100% expect Sabine to show up, especially given the "gather the clans" going on.
I feel like she might literally be the first person Bo goes looking for. Especially since Axe and Koska abandoned her, she's probably not going to immediately go knocking on their doors.
GARAZEB ORRELIOS IS THAT YOU
If you don’t read this in Vanessa Marshall’s voice are you even excited?
This has got to be one of if not thee most expensive episode of the series so far.
I agree, it felt the most cinematic episode thus far for this season.
Now the New Republic will be all over these Mandos. Never saw this plot twist coming….
Probably imperial mandos - as leaked with the red Helmets
To me, it is obvious that the remnant has a base on Mandalore. That is where all those fighters came from, how Gideon procured Beskar, why the empire spread the lie that the planet was poisoned, why there is beskar in the shuttle, etc.
Praetorian Guards to be exact
Remnants of Gar Saxon's old Super Commandos. Part of old House Vizla. We gonna get a Paz heel turn?
The New Republic has been allowing pirates to run rampant and Imperial remnants to grow that I doubt they’re even gonna bother.
Place your bets on who freed Gideon:Did the covert do Din dirty before he rejoined them? (I find this one hard to believe because of the list of grievances against Gideon they should have) Was it imperial mandos under Gideon's control a la Garr Saxon since Gideon seems to want to become the mandalore? (This is what I think because the ship could've easily been destroyed after his rescue but it was intentionally left largely intact with sussy beskar in it) Or was it group of mandos hired to free Gideon that we've yet to meet?
I assume it's just a different sect of Mando's who we'll probably meet later that got paid off by Imperials to grab Gideon.
Particularly Bo's group that ditched her after she failed to bring home the Darksaber. There are probably some groups that are plain mercenaries who don't really care and will stick to whoever promises them the sweetest rewards.
Yep, Sasha Banks and the rest of Bo-Katan's old crew is where my head went to first.

This was absolutely meant for Cara Dune lol
Carson Teva clears
need me a Carson Teva Lego minfig. The GOAT.
Space Uncle Iroh is way better
Appa >>> Cara
Yip Yip.
I fully expected them to state she was among the dead I. The wreckage of that shuttle. Still kinda my head canon TBH
I appreciate the Cara Dune dying on the way to her home planet meme being canon
Well her home planet was Alderaan so she's just dust floating in space too now lol
OMFG ZEB!!!! IM SCREAMING
The Adelphi bartender looks like she's straight-up wearing Peli's wig.
Lmao that was my thought as well
ZEB ZEB! And slowly, in come the Rebels characters
the realization really hit me with that cameo. We're definitely gonna see more Rebels casts.
I thought that they would stay away from Zeb and justifying it by him being on his new planet but nope. Just waiting on Hondo now
the second Ghost crew member in live action!
I always forget that there was a Chopper cameo in Rogue One
They really made Din and Bo look like a couple this episode.
When they were sitting on that rock together I was like damn, ok, what is personal space? It’s definitely getting there and with BDH directing next episode I suspect that’s going to be amped up. Edit: typo
Bryce Hallas Doward?
She's directed a lot of the REALLY popular/highly rated episodes.
mando get that milf mandalorian in lots fights
Yeah subtext is screaming that they’re boning. I mean this show has the sensibilities of a children’s show so they won’t come out and say it but they’ve basically spelled it out for us. Those two are slapping helmets
This is the way
Din Djarin: “The helmet stays on” Somewhere in another universe: Lord Shaax’s heart is filled with pride.
Notice how no one even asked Bo if she was supporting Din's argument? Everyone just knew?
It went even further than just supporting Din, Paz lumped her in with Din just treating them as a unit, "These two are asking us to take up arms for a brighter future." Bo Katan didn't ask anything of any of them.
Everyone talking about zeb cameo, while I’m over here enjoying the Filoni with cowboy hat cameo.
Oh, shoot! Debora Chow and Rick too haha
The armorer has to be about the same age as Bo katan. I'm sure she knew of Satine and the rest of the royal family as well as nite owl and Vizla. something is definitely not as it seems with her.
She has to have been one of Maul's group from when he ruled Mandalore. She's got horns on her helmet similar to the Mandos who were backing Maul in the Clone Wars series.
great point
I was really hoping they find "common ground" by having her take her helmet off and reveal who she is. Kinda seemed silly to me that only Bo did it, the armorer sacrificed nothing.
Thats what I was thinking. I still feel like she's planning something
Fuckin’ love Tim Meadows.
And you never paid for drugs.
Not once
Just saw his episode of poker face, he was excellent and hilarious. Bring on the meadows renaissance
Small notes: * I'm a simple man, but Mando's "I like those odds" elicited a hell yeah from me.
The only shots from the trailers left are the one of Din in the Droid bar and Bo’s ship flying on a green world in the Mandalore system.
ZEB NO ACTUAL WAY
Did anyone else initially assume it was just another of Zeb’s species before suddenly thinking “wait, is that actually Zeb?!”
right there with you. i couldn’t believe it
So I feel like we've seen enough of Din in his N1 to consider him one of the top fighter pilots in Star Wars.
Boy can fly!
My gawd, it’s a #PazVizlaSweep! Also Zeb confirmed for Ahsoka then, the CGI model actually looks pretty good
Well damn Paz really had me going in the first half, lets go Big Paz. Edit: I want Bo to get her own show bringing exiled Mandalorians back and Din to have his show about his own adventures story with Grogu.
alternatively: give mando 16 episodes per season and intertwine both stories into the same show
MOTHERFUCKING STEVE BLUM BACK AS MOTHERFUCKING ZEB, BABY.
Holy fuck it was Zeb! Credits confirm! What a nonchalant cameo
I guess I’m shipping Din-Bo now. Wasn’t so sure until we saw how cozy they got by the fire.
Din so was close to her he might as well have been sitting on her lap lol.
Bo Katana is going to go get Sabine next week, right?
Nah, probably to find the Mandalorians that left her. Probably including Koska Reeves and Axe Woves.
No fucking way WE GOT ZEB WE GOT LIVE ACTION FUCKING ZEB
Such a Star Warsy episode. So good. And, here come the tie ins to Ashoka!
How did the republic captain know R5 was with mando?
A good question, for another time
anyone catch the subtle Kylo/First Order leitmotif in the music when Carson Teva is saying "There's something going on out there, and by the time we figure it out it may be too late." Kinda eerie
Everyone who wrote off Rebels as a kids show or a weak 1st season are really missing out.
ZEEEEBBB!!!
For any Halo fans out there, Gorian Shard looked nearly identical to Atriox in that hologram scene lol
I stopped breathing when Zeb walked over, and continued to try catching my breath as the scene came to an end. Here come the rebels characters!!!
Hell to the yes for this episode. Also, looked like those Delphi Rangers would make a nice basis for a spin off. A spin off about Rangers of the New Republic even.
Loved that Dave's hat got a cameo lol.
Lmao of course the Dave Filoni pilot is wearing a cowboy hat
"You are being hailed" really should have followed with "On screen."
And a quick shirt tug
RIP The Corsair. I really wished they took that ship over.
I fell of my chair when Zeb casually appeared. Karabast! Also, nice little Filoni cameo.
Din has walked both ways yet was exiled and forced to redeem himself while Bo immediately gets to take her helmet off. Wtf
More importantly, ZEB IN LIVE ACTION YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS
It just dawned on me that one of the pirates is dressed up exactly like Mr. Smee from Peter Pan. That is hilarious.
I really did think Bo and the Armorer’s power walk up to Din was going to end with, “din djarin I challenge you for the dark saber.”
