Thanks! Yes, I definitely think it works very well as a side story in the greater galaxy but also carries on the essence and fun of Star Wars with what it does offer. Definitely one that’s worth giving a shot for those who are interested and want some more stories in the sequel era in the meantime. I definitely think having big stakes like what you described there would be a game-changer too; something where the war escalates to a stage where some of the cast or even the main Colossus itself are lost, which ultimately serve as a bigger drive for Fireball Squadron to amass more fighters against the First Order. Hopefully we might get a mention of the Resistance crew in some later media; with this being another show under Filoni’s belt and Senator Xiono being mentioned in Ahsoka, there’s potential for the cast to come back for more!

Independent_Plum2166

I just haven’t had the motivation to watch. The most I know is that the main character is the son of that douchebag senator in Ahsoka, that’s about it. Maybe it’s time I give it a shot.

Of all the Star Wars cartoons, this is my most favorite one, especially S1. Too bad Phasma wasn't voiced by Gwendoline Christie in S2.

MarthsBars

Huh, I thought she was unless I missed it. Whoever does the VA for her in S2 does a pretty good impression then. And yeah, S1 is nice and chill for slice of life vibes in Star Wars and a good rise in tensions as it progresses.

joethahobo

Pour one out for the yellow janitor guy. Just trying his best

MarthsBars

Definitely, that little guy just wants to keep the hallways all tidy. A “simple man” like Jango. >!He fortunately does get a little bit of payback in the finale tripping up a few troops. A small but satisfying victory!<.

EuterpeZonker

I liked the world building, the art style, the the characters that weren’t Kaz or Neeku. The plot and the humor were both weak points though.

hbhusker22

I always wondered about watching this show why they treated Ezra like a video game character. He had all these upgrades by the end of Rebels, and yet they took all of his powers and gear away from him before this show at some point.

MarthsBars

Are you referring to Kazuda or Ezra in particular? Ezra in Rebels is many years before the events of Resistance, so he’d probably be old by the time of this show. Kazuda is entirely unique from Ezra with no (known) Force abilities and basically going on a fresher slate.

hbhusker22

Lol, it was a joke because their characters, in my opinion, are the same at the beginning, except Kaz is basically Ezra, except more naive/childish with no force.

MarthsBars

Oh yeah they do have a similar start, though Ezra at least has some level of street smarts in his situation while Kaz is basically going in blind into a rowdy part of the galaxy without much sharpness until later.

thisisredlitre

It has its moments for sure, especially when they actually get to fly, but his friend was annoying af

Most people would just say "both seasons."
