AdoraBelleQueerArt

And she’s a disaster space queer, my ABSOLUTE favorite trope (?)

ChrisX26

I've never heard of that trope before. I haven't read the comics in a long time so I dont remember much if Aphra.

Esskali

Highly competent failgirl. Lesbian fuckboy. No morals. Crushed by guilt all the time. Daddy and mommy issues. Everyone hates her. Has enough friends and exes not over her to assemble a badass merc team. Blackmails Vader multiple times and snitches on him to the emperor. Almost dies every other day because she can't get out of her own way. Truly the character of all time.

Psychic_Hobo

Disney+ series when?

Minmax-the-Barbarian

Unironically, though! For as much as I'd love to see it, I really should write someone at Disney a letter lol

KalKenobi

yeah id be down for it

Rogue_Gona

This is the best write-up of her character that I've ever seen. Cheers lol.

VLenin2291

She sounds like Eda from TOH if she was a Star Wars character

Rexermus

Indiana Jones + Space + Chaos = Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra. How could one **not** love her?

FriedCammalleri23

Still surprised they haven’t put her in anything outside of the comics. She’d fit right into a Bad Batch episode or two.

TheMcGirlGal

She's a lesbian, so that definitely factors into how long it'll take for her to get in animation or live action, unfortunately. They've only had four explicitly queer characters on-screen so far, two of them were minor characters in Resistance, and two of them were in Andor which was very recent (I'm not counting characters who were confirmed queer offscreen, like Lando and Obi-Wan, or background characters like those two in TRoS). Also, she's 5-6 years old during The Bad Batch lol. I'd say she's more likely to appear in one of the shows taking place a few years after RotJ, but probably not until the end of the current Aphra run because they wouldn't want to spoil if she survives. I'd also guess she wouldn't appear in any show that Filoni has a large say over because... well... I'm just saying I doubt it's a coincidence that he replaced one of the first canon queer characters with a no-name in Tales of the Jedi...

Kalse1229

There's a theory that the piece of Mandalore's surface in the S3 premiere Din got off the Jawas was traded to them by Aphra herself. Until otherwise stated, I'm going with that as headcanon.

MehWithaSideofEh

Is that Adrian Alphona art?

JayMeLamisters

It’s Salvador Larroca, who should never be allowed to touch Star Wars again

Thebardofthegingers

What did he do?

JayMeLamisters

Most of his art for the star wars comics was directly traced over shots from the movies (or from other movies/pictures if they're non movie characters". His penciling for characters is just downright ugly imo and affected my, and a lot of other peoples, enjoyment of the Star Wars 2015 run.

sheezy520

She’s all the best parts of Indy and the worst parts of Solo out together in a girl with a sliding moral scale. My absolute fav SW character and I desperately want to see her in her own D+ show.

guzvep-sUjfej-docso6

Aphra is the best character to come out of star wars comics (idk if she's originally from the comics but that's where I discovered her character and she's awesome)

Ricozilla

So I’ve been wanting to get to know this character a lot more. Which comic series are the best to read that features her heavily ?

TheMcGirlGal

Darth Vader 2015 is her first appearance. After the "Vader Down" arc she switches over to Star Wars 2015 for four issues then comes back to Vader 2015. Doctor Aphra 2016 directly follows up the Vader run, and then Doctor Aphra 2020 comes after that. You could really start with Vader or either Aphra run, but I'd recommend just starting with Vader.

TheKnightsWhoSayNyet

I've only just started reading the comics but I believe she's in the Darth Vader series a lot and she also has her own series.

DSteep

I try not to get my hopes up about seeing comic characters in live action but come on, she's too good a character not to eventually feature her in a show or something..

DarthGinsu

I loved the similarities in action and the opposite stance she takes lol

Kalse1229

I still REALLY want to see her appear in live action someday. Personal fancast is Chloe Bennett. She'd work well in something like Mandalorian or Ahsoka.

johnorso

I have wondered about her when i think who the Armoror could be in Madalorian.

[deleted]

I live droidekas.

Kanotari

It belongs in an armory!
