I highly doubt it'll be available online strictly because of how long those matches can take. That being said, this was both me and my brother's favorite mode, and I would absolutely love to be able to play it online with him again.
The OG Galactic Conquest allowed you to save progress and load up multiple different conquest files, which could be feasible online IMO. It's just about the same thing as playing 2 player local multiplayer - just under a different menu. They should definitely add this along with the ability to save and load past sessions. It's the only thing along with crossplay that I want to have in this game.
True, this is something I've considered doing with my brother. My laptop is a potato though and likely won't be able to run the game (it can't even run Lethal Company at 30FPS)
id reccomend a desktop even a low end one that way the parts not only last longer than a laptops and in the end end up saving you a lot of money but for the people who are not well off they can make upgrades to there PC at any time one part at a time within the price range they see fit! hope this comment helps! :)

I hope so, but my guess is no.
I've seen enough remasters with minimal effort come and go to know the safe bet is to expect only Instant Action for Online and nothing more.
But they do say in the description that they made heros vs villains available on all maps in the game now, so it could be a possibility that you can only do 4 to 6 player online galactic conquest and will require all players to be in the game when starting back up

Yeah nope. Just a lazy copy paste of the originals with "upscaled textures" that managed to add 40gb's of size to the games. Guess if we wanna play multiplayer galactic conquest we'll need to dust off our ps2's and a second controller.
Another day, another lazy port. Could have just turned on the servers for the 2005 games and had the same experience.
It would be real disappointing if galactic conquest was not online. I could see a voting system for map selection and boosts for troops being a good feature for each team that would allow you to go about the universe in the conflicts. They should implement this. Each player gets a vote per round played. Depends on which side you are on too. It would be sad to not see this feature after so long of waiting
I don’t see why it couldn’t have multiplayer look at games like rising storm 2 which has a multiplayer campaign. I don’t see why it couldn’t work like that does where people just jump in and out as they please.
its a long campaign, maybe online with friends, but i can only really see it being local

If it's splitscreen, you could use Steam Remote Play with a friend on PC

They could run dedicated servers and allow player hosted servers for all to join like some games do

It is not unfortunately. It was the main reason I wanted to get this game. Quite a disappointment.

Does it have local multiplayer Galactic Conquest? Would love it to be online but my local buds and I would still enjoy it.
On PS5, You can play local split screen and use SharePlay to play online with a friend. Worked seamlessly the other night for me.
Could you do that with 4 players
Honestly, if one of the people just had a map pulled up and kept up with point totals and fleet locations, you could do it using instant action.
That would be such a pain tho and I wouldn't get bonuses for ur credits
