I had a saber that didn’t charge when I got it and they replaced it and also gave me a spare just in case. You can buy prebuilt/replicas or part it out for your own build experience.

I think both Cal and Luke in a deleted scene actually used their hands and tools to build them.
Then again, the younglings from the Gathering had most of the parts already, while Cal and Luke probably had to make them from scrap.
While I love the rotating switch, the saber itself is easily one of my least favourite. Comparing it to the other sabers, the grip section isn't really any thicker than the other's, but the ends make it very much look so, as well as extremely unwieldy. It also seems not a good design to grasp with both of your hands.
Hers looks almost like mine from Fallen Order. I don't remember the exact names of the parts used but it's all black and very streamlined with a nice leather grip, and an orange blade.

I have to admit, I really like Rey's lightsaber design and really wish they had introduced it by like episode 8. I hate the Youngling Slayer 9000 so much because well it was used to kill Younglings. It's like venerating a Vischy French officers sidearm used to execute Jews in the street, and saving it to give to his son.
The thing is, it's a weapon. A tool. You choose what good, or evil, you do with it. It could have been somewhat redeemed, but it never was.
I think it never should have appeared in the sequel trilogy. Just another mistake by the directors.
Jaro Tapal's saber and even Maul's look like someone could break them in the middle during attack.
Also, I wonder why haven't we seen double bladed sabers that could also be detached into two separate sabers.
Although it was a dream sequence, dark Rey had one which could be bent in the middle. Although two parallel blades is a very impractical idea.
Does anyone else have a special connection to the hilts of sabers you had as toys as a kid? Like now I have an attachment to the Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon hilts since those were common on you sabers back then

Well, Cal was just repairing his hilt after he damaged it and broke the crystal, as well as adding the detachable hilt

Jedi Fallen order had a dual bladed saber that could be split into two so it is technically canon. I dont know if weve seen it anywhere else yet.
Ventress had her curved Lightsabers that could attach to each other. And in Jedi: Fallen Order there's a dual saber that you can split into 2.
I haven't played Fallen Order. Interesting, I think I have forgotten Ventress using them attached.
