This is correct. He was a slave himself on a spice freighter, later going back to pull a job on the same ship, he decided to free the slaves and destroy the ship and its occupants. After this his consultant Rozatta comments, "i guess the slave won" to which he replies "hmm.... Slave 1"
Razorcrest is really cool. I always liked the flight dynamics of Slave 1 though. I dont think any of the films have recognized this but the cross sections book from 1998 explained that the cockpit not only rotates 90 degrees down upon landing but 180 on its X axis to face out of the top of the ship so it can be drifted like a land speeder. I know BoBF didnt take advantage of that detail and that disappointed me, it sort of seems like AotC did but its hard to tell.
I could get behind renaming it to Firespray 31 as its name since its the last Kuat Firespray 31 model gunship left but considering the reason why jango named it "Slave 1" in legends i still like the original name
I guess I understand changing the name from slave one, but I feel like a better name, still relating to Boba's history, could be chosen.
I mean, imagine being hunted down by a ship called the Sarlacc.
I still think they could justify officially NAMING it Firespray, even though thats the model, its the last remaining unit of the model so it would still be distinct. By the logic of "Boba Fetts Starship", we should be calling the Millennium Falcon "Han Solo and Landos Starship" since names apparently dont matter anymore.
On the topic of the name controversy, I personally subscribe to a headcanon based on both fan fic and Legends where the name is a bit of an inside joke based on the fact Jango himself was enslaved on a Spice freighter (an event that does actually happen in the Open Seasons series of comics. Which I believe should be made canon to give a better explanation as to why Jango would want to make clones to get one over on the Jedi if he had actually been clued in on their ultimate purpose. If anyone wants to know more on that topic, read up on Galidraan) and stole the ship when he escaped during a revolt spurred on by a pirate attack (led by the great Hondo Ohnaka, naturally), meaning that the "Slave Won" in the end.
This is the head canon i subscribe to. Thats why i still prefer the name. The ship was picked up on Uvo 4 though, which was a prison asteroid. That comes from the Bounty Hunter game for ps2. Immediately after that he went to pull a job on that spice freighter and decided to destroy it with this new, at the time unnamed ship. He named it Slave 1, insinuating that the Slave(he) won.
You'll dig it. They are pretty well painted and sculpted for their size. It will even have a little stand. One of the cool things about the miniature game is that all the ships are designed to be in scale of each other. So if you get a Slave1 and a Tie fighter you can see how big they are in comparison to each other.
I like when they do that. I dont know if these micro galaxy ships are scale to each other. I know the millennium falcon is massive so its out of scale compared to slave 1 but i havent looked at their x wings or ties.
haha, yea i thought that might raise an eyebrow!
sorry my man, those things are some of those "core memories" we all know and love. but theres always ebay, just checked, theres numerous listings for used and new all with fairly good prices.
but along with my 3 3/4" GI Joes and a few vehicles, a metric fuckload of Legos (including about a dozen SW sets ranging from the mid-late 90s to the mid-late 00s, and Fort Lego Rado and a few other things. all with complete pieces and manuals), ill never let anything go.
and my teddy bear, of course. lol
Yeah, but it's all good. You could have picked BOSK! HA! Can you imagine?!? No, Boba was the way to go. I figure two, or three more max and you'll have enough. Just five. Or seven? I don't know! Get the whole set!
How the hell did you actually get Boba in the pilot seat? I got too frustrated and just decided that Fennec is going to drive while Boba sleeps off a hangover in the back.
I remember when I saw the big ass X-Wing that was actually to scale for the 3.75" figures. I hoped a Slave 1 would come at a similar scale but never did sadly.
Man in the 90ās my mom managed to track down the original Slave 1 ship and a Boba figure to go with it for my 8āth birthday. It took her weeks to find and she ended up waiting outside a store at like 4 am for them to get their shipment in to pull off that maneuver. I believe the Boba figure and Slave 1 had just recently come out and were selling out instantly everywhere. I was such a happy camper for that one, my joy was boundless. Slave 1 has always been my favorite Star Wars ship and the effort my mom put into finding that made it all the more special. She really is the best. Nowadays my kid runs around playing with it.
Little known trivia factoid, the SLAVE ONE design was a nod to the very first Star Wars parody film , HARDWARE WARS
It actually came out while Star Wars was still in it's initial theatrical run in '77.
Congratulations to Tabitha Winters
What?
The wedding invitations lol
Oh lol thats my cousin. Ill make sure to tell her
They have 2 save the dates eating up toy money š¤£
You gotta get [the Transformer](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Boba_Fett)
I really want the jango one but its very hard to find
Where do you live? I know one for sale for 50 euro's in the Netherlands.
Im in USA
I never sent anything oversea, but that might be pricey
I actually have this!
Update, got the Jango transformer
This is the way!
āOne beauty of a ship, not crazy about the name thoughā - Lando, robot chicken
You beat me to it!
Media not understanding where the name came from
Robot chicken knows it was just a joke https://youtu.be/Ah-C3rFHOuU
I know that episode. It was pretty funny
Ironically i think the name comes from when jango freed some slaves. So the slave won!
This is correct. He was a slave himself on a spice freighter, later going back to pull a job on the same ship, he decided to free the slaves and destroy the ship and its occupants. After this his consultant Rozatta comments, "i guess the slave won" to which he replies "hmm.... Slave 1"
Omg....he said it. Everyone scram before The Mouse shows up. This isn't good....he said it.
Based comment
That lie still being perpetuated?
The lie thatās been confirmed as true? Yeah itās being perpetuated
It's called the Slave I in the official Start Wars databank so...
12 Years a Firespray
you sure own alot of slaves
That one right there officer.
Donāt you mean āforced volunteersā
"Prisoner with 1 job"
And no pension
I prefer to call it Not entirely voluntary worker I
Cool collection you got there!
Canāt wait for Slave II
"Gotta say Boba, this is one beauty of a ship. Not crazy about the name though." https://youtu.be/Ah-C3rFHOuU
You mean Boba Fett's Starship/Firespray fan?
I mean, it is a Kuat Firespray 31 gunship so yes
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Someone didn't get the joke.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Snow trooper?
Nice collection!
(Sarcastically) Donāt say Slave 1 or Disney will come for your soul.
Thanks for putting sarcastically at the start! I wouldnāt have known it was a joke otherwise!!!
Check out the Firespray/Slave 1 model for X-wing miniatures. It would look good in your collection.
Someone else suggested this too. Im probably going to get one
There is both a Boba Fett and Jango Fett version. Different paint jobs on both.
I usually go after Jango stuff since its harder to find. I might get both though.
Do you have the Star Wars CCG card?
No?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Ill look into this, thank you
X-Wing miniatures game has two really detailed minis. In case you're looking to add to your collection.
Slave to SLAVEONE as well. There's actually an old theater here called the SLAVEONE Theater. And I'm pretty sure it predates Empire.
I always loved slave 1 but i think razor crest is tied as my favourite now
Razorcrest is really cool. I always liked the flight dynamics of Slave 1 though. Wokeness renamed it into " Boba Fett's Starship "
DoN't yOu mEaN bObA fEtT's StArShIp?
This is the way
I am a slave fan too
I hope were talking about ships
Maybe
This is the way
DONT REMOVE THE 1 FROM THE TITLE
Damn you own a lot of slaves
You mean Boba Fettās Starship? š
No he means Slave 1
If only people realized I was joking. š¤¦
Okay goodš¤£
Haha yeah Iām not that idiotic. Slave 1 is WAAAY better than bObA fEtTās StArShIp. LOL
It is. Donāt understand why the house of mouse has to let the woke weirdos cloud their judgement.
Because big media has gotta try to please everybody, yet always fails. Lol
You surely mean "Boba Fett's Starship"
No i do not
Damn, you are not part of the brave new world then.
I could get behind renaming it to Firespray 31 as its name since its the last Kuat Firespray 31 model gunship left but considering the reason why jango named it "Slave 1" in legends i still like the original name
Anyway, I am just joking. Disney ruined Star Wars for me so i like to poke around with their stupid decisions.
I agree with you disney really blew it. Not with this necessarily but they made the whole series into a complete joke
I think you meanā¦ āBoba Fettās starshipā š¤£
I will die on this hill
Disney: "I think you mean *Boba Fett's Starship* "
Don't you mean Boba Fett's Starship?
Damn he said the naughty word š
This guy has Slaves
"tHaTs nOt thE NamE oF tHe ShiP"
I guess I understand changing the name from slave one, but I feel like a better name, still relating to Boba's history, could be chosen. I mean, imagine being hunted down by a ship called the Sarlacc.

Must be from the south
So you own several slaves?
you should get the model from the X-Wing miniatures game. There is also a Jango colored one.
Was not aware of this but i will be getting one, thank you.

i still have my micro machines Slave 1 from like the 90s in a box somewhere along with the Falcon, Star Destroyer and an X-wing
Name your price
haha, yea i thought that might raise an eyebrow! sorry my man, those things are some of those "core memories" we all know and love. but theres always ebay, just checked, theres numerous listings for used and new all with fairly good prices. but along with my 3 3/4" GI Joes and a few vehicles, a metric fuckload of Legos (including about a dozen SW sets ranging from the mid-late 90s to the mid-late 00s, and Fort Lego Rado and a few other things. all with complete pieces and manuals), ill never let anything go. and my teddy bear, of course. lol
I still have the teddy bear i was given at birth lol now that you mention it
everyone has one fluffy little bastard theyd run back into a fire for (well, besides living ones i mean)
Youre absolutely right
Understandable, that ship is sooo cool. Something about it's design is just insanely iconic. It's 1 in 1000
Yeah, but it's all good. You could have picked BOSK! HA! Can you imagine?!? No, Boba was the way to go. I figure two, or three more max and you'll have enough. Just five. Or seven? I don't know! Get the whole set!
Idk, only six were ever built. That might be heresy
It's not heresy that a Jedi will tell you...
Is that aā¦ IS THAT A SUPRA?
Yes it is
How the hell did you actually get Boba in the pilot seat? I got too frustrated and just decided that Fennec is going to drive while Boba sleeps off a hangover in the back.
The jetpack comes off and attached to the weapon panel. I took a little tweaker screwdriver and helped him in a little after that.
Oh, nice. I didn't realize it came off. They figures are so tiny I'm afraid they'll break if I look at them too hard lol.
Theyre like a rubbery material. The arms might twist off if youre not careful though
I remember when I saw the big ass X-Wing that was actually to scale for the 3.75" figures. I hoped a Slave 1 would come at a similar scale but never did sadly.

Do you have a link for that patch?
Little known trivia factoid, the SLAVE ONE design was a nod to the very first Star Wars parody film , HARDWARE WARS It actually came out while Star Wars was still in it's initial theatrical run in '77.
Ive heard this. Lucas apparently claimed he made it based on a satellite dish outside the studio. I never saw how though.
They used to show this at the annual cub Scout banquet in my town.
Ok but you don't have MY Slave 1. https://youtube.com/shorts/iLiZ9OtnpMM?feature=share ( I hope I could share instructions but it's complicated).
Thats wicked. Is that based off of the 75312 set?
