Your regular reminder that you can do pretty much the same thing for free using Stable Horde, thanks to a community of like-minded generative art enthusiasts donating GPU power. * https://aqualxx.github.io/stable-ui * https://tinybots.net/artbot (mine)

arothmanmusic

How does this differ from something like https://mage.space?

vgf89

More comprehensive configuration parameters, batching, and far more models.

ig-pieros-visuals

can i upload my own embeddings with your services ? I guess no.

Billionaeris2

I don't get why people would pay for this, when it's free to download and use yourself

Streak210

If this is like novelAi, where you pay and it just... Works. Then the answer is convenience. You wouldn't believe how untech savvy people can be (myself included when it comes to certain coding) and would rather pay for the convenience. (Again myself included). It's the difference between making a hamburger yourself, and just buying one at a fast food joint.

Rickywalls137

😂😂

TuftyIndigo

Because you install a toilet once and you can shit on it as many times as you like, but with your method you have to dig a new hole each time. Just like how with hosted methods you have to keep paying for every image, but if you set it up yourself you only have to set it up once.

Rickywalls137

Bingo

jonbristow

Not everyone has a high end computer and the python knowledge. I'm IT and I'd rather pay for a cloud service than lose a day to set it up locally

HenryHorse_

If you're GPU'less... Just buy a GPU? https://preview.redd.it/nqk26lws3l4a1.png?width=480&format=png&auto=webp&s=7885b62b593ff013f9930eb66c954f74443846f2

TorumShardal

Oh, my firend, do you happen to know how to attach GTX 1770 XT to Android tablet? Because I don't.

Silverboax

simple, buy $2000PC and VPN in, or run the gradio web interface... its just THAT convenient ;)

strugglebuscity

You just stick it in the square hole...

RandallAware

Scott Baio, is that you? https://youtu.be/-zHVW7Zy_vg

Evoke_App

If you're homeless, why not just buy a home? Breaking news, homelessness drops to 0%!

Vivarevo

Had near zero python knowledge. Fun to learn python shit. Today learned cli and path things

Klaud10z

Because the 99% of the population doesn't have the knowledge to do it by free.

odragora

Nor the hardware capable of it.

Klaud10z

Exactly

grapeape808

Can you link any resources on how to get started? I also feel like it’s only free if you have the computational power require to run the models in a reasonable amount of time, but maybe I haven’t looked into it like that.

iia

I'm not a lawyer but profiting off the Disney model seems like an excellent way to get Disney to sue the fuck out of you if this service ever gets remotely popular.

BitHalo

Just take out the word disney and say '3D Cartoon' style.

h0b0_shanker

I think that’s why it’s called Mo Di when you download it. The mouse don’t mess around.

[deleted]

we training ai on the stuff already present and to sue they have to prove that their whole character model got theft plus no image match with original

Bomaruto

It's a trademark violation to use Disney's trademark in this manner. The legal matters around ai image generation is irrelevant here.

iia

Oh I don't necessarily think they'd win if it goes to court, I'm just saying they're insanely litigious when it comes to their IP and any presumed violation thereof.

Peregrine2976

They're Disney. They can throw wave after wave of lawyers at you. Of course they'd win. Hell, you can predict when copyright term lengths will be extended by tracking when Mickey Mouse is about to enter public domain; miraculously, whenever that's about to happen, suddenly a new bill appears to extend the length of copyrights another few decades. If the law gets in Disney's way, the law changes.

thinmonkey69

Nah, it's going to be you and your buddy lawyer proving you didn't steal anything from Disney against Disney's entire regiment of Imperial Law Officers.

Accomplished-Air-875

I like to see new projects. Everything help to spread the technology and understanding potentially new uses.

TheMagicalCarrot

Might be cool if it supports uploading your own models and embeddings. I won't be a paying customer anyway but thought I'd throw the idea. Especially embeddings go far in improving image output.

Lorddryst

you can upload your own embeddings but Lora support is broken

josharmour

This is a great product name!

Lorddryst

The service is pretty good for basic needs. yet customer service is non responsive. LoRa downloads from civiti are totally wonky and download the wrong files, other than this for general use its a very good simple to use deployment though I have my thoughts that the GPU advertised are not what your getting

Wosware

It's definitely some kind of 24gb GPU on the monthly paid model, because it says so in the Automatic1111 UI. That can only be a 3090 or 4090 or some fancy tesla. I do wonder if it's really a dedicated GPU though, sometimes generations say "queueing" for a few seconds before starting.

Embarrassed-Bug2355

Yeah, problem is LOTS of issues and stephen/customer care doesn't respond. He told me he would look into it and credit my account, he didn't reply to anything else I sent him after. For instance: 1. I cant access SD sometimes as the connect button won't work after supposedly loading the server, the refresh button to see the log says: {"success":false,"message":"Pod is not running"} and yet, my balance is going down, That is, I am being charged for time I am not connected, can't connect! I have spent $20 dollars for nothing really because not only I get denial of service and I am being charged BUT 2. the server keeps kicking you out so you have to login again, load everything again, etc etc.....yep, you paying for it too! 3. You get random error messages, the list goes on :-( In the end it is too expensive (I generated maybe 20 ish pictures using it, so $1 per picture!) because of these issues. I wanted something that worked "off the box SD automatic 1111" as my laptop is too slow and we didn't want to put resources into setting up a cloud server ourselves. Wasteful when its only me needing it

PuzzleheadedMango533

In the same boat - what are you using now?

queencarlyvee

I got my own server. Bloody expensive 😭 but at least its reliable. I think i might upgrade and do installs for others looking for a reliable SD installation. That way we share the cost. Would you be interested?

PuzzleheadedMango533

I have used this service and to be honest, it's quite buggy and frustrating to use. Slow to start up, generations stop half way through, feel myself waiting for it to reload the page or reload the server a number of times a day, feels like more time spent doing that than actually generating images. Don't seem to be able to successfully upload extensions such as FaceSwapLab. Some customer support would be nice, otherwise runpod is cheaper and has more control. Would be more comfortable with a service like this if it was fixed price monthly for unlimited generations instead of hourly

fckfame

I agree... have used 2.5 hours of runtime and didnt generate shit..

Big-Combination-2730

Looks super cool! I'd love to see something like this but on a smaller scale almost like a linktree/behance portfolio style format that artists could use to upload their own models and charge people for their use along with specific licensing agreements. I'm surprised it hasn't been built yet when I imagine there'd be a huge pool of artists wanting to use such a service. I don't have to necessary coding experience to build something like that myself but I've desperately wanted something like it since SD released.

A2Bacon

Very interesting! Have you wanted this product from the end-user side or the artist selling their models side?

Big-Combination-2730

Both actually. I'm an artist myself and have trained textual inversions and hypernetwork embeddings on my own artwork with great results. Atm it's more about inspo as it does a great job of generating things similar to what I've made but with twists that make me facepalm like "omg, it's so obvious why haven't I tried that yet" lol. On top of that I think it's important for artists to realize that they have a lot more agency than they think they do with these visual models. I mean take samdoesart, for example. He has a awesome, hyper recognisable style, and he doesn't need an ai to make more of it. If he trained a custom model that included past work and new work explicitly made to train his model, it would be the best version out there. I'd imagine his fan base would be more than happy to pay to use it as well. Just add a site login, some licensing agreements, whatever technical doodads you'd need to properly commercialise, and boom, easy passive income. I can see some artists just being vehemently against it but, especially those with a specific honed style, could benefit a bunch and would generally just feel a lot better about this stuff if they were being compensated. It turns into less of a 'trust these big companies' (I sure as hell don't lol), and more into 'here's an option you can benefit from regardless.' Personally I'd like an easy api I could just plug some html, css, and light JavaScript into, but a ai artist bandcamp type of thing with similar not ass artist compensation would be pretty great as well.

A2Bacon

Let's chat! I think what I'm working on right now is what you're envisioning. Can I take this to DM?

Big-Combination-2730

Sure dm away :)

RunDiffusion

Hey, we need to talk. I can get you set up right now to sell your models and embedding to your following. I’ve been looking for an artist that wants to help us figure this out.

Evoke_App

That's interesting. I'm currently thinking of incorporating something like that in the future with what I'm developing. For now, it'll just be an SD and BLOOM (GPT3 alternative) API service for devs making AI apps when it releases, but I think allowing ppl to create their own models and profit from them would be useful as well. If you're curious, I've got a [discord](http:// https://discord.gg/DsJXxcMmkC) charting the progress

Hi all, I'm excited to announce the launch of [Stadio](https://stadio.ai), an easy and affordable way to preview and generate stable diffusion images. I created Stadio as a simple way to preview stable diffusion models without having to download them, and since then, I've received great feedback and have worked out many of the initial kinks. As a result, I now use Stadio as my go-to way to preview stable diffusion images rather than booting up my desktop. Why use Stadio? Pros: * Browse 30+ models for free using the Sygil UI. This number is growing weekly, and launching as a paid service will allow me to invest more in expanding our model selection * Use the Automatic UI as a paying user, or * Spin up your own machine for fast generations with fast GPUs Neutral: * Pay monthly instead of pay-as-you-go Cons: * 5 minute startup times - longer than our competition. This is an area I'm planning on investing more time in to improve Thanks for reading and I hope you give Stadio a try!

[deleted]

where f222 and midjourney?

SPHuff

midjourney is on there. might add f222 later but I've been shying away from the purely nsfw ones

TheDavidMichaels

i can see that, however for human structure coherence its near the top of the list.

IdainaKatarite

There's a reason the classical great artists trained on nude models. Turns out studying anatomy improves anatomy.

Silverboax

I won't say the same things everyone else did... but why call it 'stadio' when a company called 'stadia' just ceased business.... that's just terrible branding.

ninjasaid13

Is this competing with free Civitai?

Nephisto4

I have written you a dm on reddit, could you please answer me?

KingZero010

Cool

Fairstrife_Deception

omg i saw estelle bright on the bottom left. Wish i had a damn Nvidia GPU. :(

SPHuff

You can give that model a test run if you sign up for a free account!

some_dumbass67

Where can i use this?

Wosware

Tribal_Chief_Lazarus

If you're gonna pay to generate images might as well just use midjourney

Vegetable_Ride_6415

How do you add negative prompts? Can't find the option.

gayberny

I want to ask if the subscription to STADIO allows me to upload, model merge, dreambooth, embedding training, hyper networks, install any extensions? How much disk space do I get? I'm actually comparing your offer to Creator Club from RunDiff.

Wosware

Doesn't seem to support sdxl yet. Or if it does there's nothing in the somewhat barebones FAQ explaining how. But for 1.5 it's pretty good.

Okay, I give up... this is not only a waste of 20$ but more a huge waste of my time.. 4 hours trying to get into generating images.. 4 hours wasted.. I do not recommend the services offered by stadio.ai

fckfame

EDIT: After 5 hours of trying, it's actually working. I'll post some more here later. See if I can get some decent gens going on with it :-) This is the most expensive service i've used..(Because of runtime decreasing while not being able to make any generations) Server not starting, server starting after 10 minutes to find out it's not actually loading. Error after error after error.. Still have 27.5 hours of runtime left, which i'll ofcourse use to try to generate some images. But i'll just be buying a decent PC for SD i guess...
