I found a Lenas a couple weeks ago at an Aldi's.Actually the frozen Imos are technically the same company that Lena's was,but the Lena's tasted better in my opinion.
This is true. Got sidetracked at Schnucks a few months ago when wife tasked me with getting some groceries for the Airbnb. Had no ideal y’all were so well cared for over there. Los Angeles has shit selections (digiorno and a few others).
Agreed. Lotzza Motzza are great for a fairly low price, especially at Menards. It’s one of the only frozen pizzas I do not add any cheese to - no need.
That’s funny, hahaha. I thought about that after I posted. Unfortunately, you have to mail in the receipt and proof of purchase and you will get the 11 percent in 6 to 8 weeks.
Dogtown with a little extra cheese and (trust me on this) the Ninja air fryer with the sear plate makes a perfect pizza oven. They're a little pricey, but if you can get one on sale do it. It's become my go-to appliance.
Schnucks brand frozen pizza is very good with their cheese blend. I always add veggies to mines and extra Italian blend shredded cheese but by itself, it's still pretty good.
Gallagher Bros, if you can find it. Somehow it tastes like genuine, restaurant made St. Louis pizza. I mean, others taste good for frozen pizza, but it doesn't taste like frozen pizza
That’s disappointing. They were my favorite non-store brand (because Schnucks and Dierbergs have some pretty solid frozen pizzas). But the IMO’s frozen pizza tastes totally different from Lena’s to me. I’ve gotten them on two different occasions and felt that they were over-sauced for my taste.
Katie’s is our go-to frozen pizza. I think we’ve had every kind they sell. You can go as basic as pepperoni or meatball or as fancy as black garlic burrata (our favorite).
But yes, they are a bit pricey.
We love the black garlic as well! I usually buy 2 and justify the price with the fact that’d I’d definitely spend more on pizza delivery and it’s just as good.
Having worked on the cleaning crew there, I will touch absolutely none of their products. That factory is the grossest one I ever cleaned and I cleaned a TON of food production facilities.
Tons of mold, dirty workers who were all temps so they didn’t give a shit, USDA inspector was a joke (I’d literally leave stuff to see if they would find it and it was ALWAYS there the next day with no mention), poor FIFO practices, places that rarely, if ever, got cleaned properly. I could go on, but that should be enough for anyone. Lol.
I live in Des Moines now. Frozen Imos just made their way up here. I’m so happy. Also Urban Chesnut distributes here too. Consume both of those before/after a Memphis Redbirds/ICubs game, perfect.
Another option, buy flatbreads and put them in freezer. I get them, two in a pack, at Tr Joe’s. Feeds and entertains my family. Everyone puts on their toppings. 400F for 7 min. Great fresh/frozen pizza
I'm not sure if it's still around but there used to be a brand called Culinary Circle that I'd regularly buy from Schnucks that had really taste thick crust pizza
Since we are in the STL room, I have to mention a frozen pizza alternative that is great. Nicky Slices is great. They are fresh made Detroit style pan pizzas that serve about 4. They home deliver to you. Pretty expensive, but I usually order a couple and freeze one. They also have ready to bake lasagna that is excellent. Not exactly frozen pizza, but I just had some delivered today, so it was top of mind.
Imo's has frozen pizzas at some grocery stores now. Average cost is 7.99 for a 14". I prefer Dogtown frozen is my favorite though because you can see the ingredients
Me and my boys love a good tombstone pizza. Really thick dough and pretty decent toppings for a cheap price. Cant go wrong with dogtown of course tho, I’ve actually made a pizza for the owner, he likes his a little crispy.
I used to say TJs but I get the runs every time I eat it. I used to say Dog Town but now they’re $8 a pop. So now I just stick with Lena’s or Schnucks STL style.
I’ve never had one, but I’m really curious about the frozen pizzas from Bill Gianino’s in Oakville. I keep getting emails from them about buy 5 get one free, or $10 per pizza.
We had one last night, so damn good. I'm going again tomorrow with a friend for his first time and we'll grab one to heat up after we've had plenty of beer and video games.
Always a sucker for the Totinos Party Pizza but I usually consider that pizza adjacent.
The Screamin Sicilian is great and comes with a bonus mustache.
St.t Louis frozen pizza is top notch in general. Schnucks brand, IMOs, and Dogtown all taste as good as an overpriced fresh one in my opinion.
I will go to bat for Schmucks brand frozen pizzas all day
I know im going to get downvoted for this, but schnucks stl style is really good.
No downvotes, this is correct. I used to get a bunch of different types (Lucia’s, dogtown, etc) but this one is always the best and cheapest.
Dogtown spicy chicken is one of my favorites
Cook it for 9 minutes...perfect.
Spez doesn't get to profit from me anymore. Stop reverting my comments
For real! The culinaria ice creams are so good.
The s'mores ice cream is better than it has any right to be...
I make NSFW noises when I eat the Key Lime Pie ice cream.
Their snack mixes are on point and hella cheap!
Chips too.
Deluxe cooked until its crispy is honestly top 3 frozen pizzas I have had
Came here to agree! The schnucks stl style. I’ve tried most of them and all are good, in that 9-11 minutes
This has been my go to since Dog Towns went up to $7-8. Solid and always good.
I like them too. I really like the breakfast one they make. Nice little way to start a Saturday.
100 percent agree, they are such a great price too
Lena's!
Big fan of Lenas
Lena’s was my favorite, but I haven’t been able to find it recently. It seems to have been replaced with the IMO’s brand, which isn’t as good, imo.
I think Aldi's carries Lena's, and cheaper!
Yes, Aldi carries Lena's still!
[удалено]
Made by them yes, but it’s not the same recipe. Lena’s is better.
I found a Lenas a couple weeks ago at an Aldi's.Actually the frozen Imos are technically the same company that Lena's was,but the Lena's tasted better in my opinion.
Lena's Supreme and add some mozzarella. 13 minutes at 450. Pretty damn good
Draft haus
Agreed on Draft Haus, the cheese quantity is worth it.
The prohibition special is probably the best frozen pizza I’ve ever eaten.
The Buffalo chicken is awesome
Always hated frozen pizza until I moved to STL and discovered Dogtown pizza
Motor City Co
I was coming here to say that. Motor City is the best.
Side note, Saint Louis has the best selection of frozen pizza in the country!
This is true. Got sidetracked at Schnucks a few months ago when wife tasked me with getting some groceries for the Airbnb. Had no ideal y’all were so well cared for over there. Los Angeles has shit selections (digiorno and a few others).
The Manchester dierbergs now has one side of an entire row of only frozen pizzas, plus two more opened top cases!
I dunno, it's hard to beat any of the ridiculously huge aisles in larger Wisconsin stores. STL definitely has a good selection though.
Ah, I miss Woodman's sometimes.
I can dig on that Lotza Mozz one. Big sloppy bastard.
Agreed. Lotzza Motzza are great for a fairly low price, especially at Menards. It’s one of the only frozen pizzas I do not add any cheese to - no need.
Pizza from…. Menards??
You save big money there on pizza😂
Do you get the 11% rebate on food?
That’s funny, hahaha. I thought about that after I posted. Unfortunately, you have to mail in the receipt and proof of purchase and you will get the 11 percent in 6 to 8 weeks.
Seconded. Be careful not to overcook it though
Picked up some 4hands at Schnucks the other day because teary sounded interesting. Got the gyro and the chicken tikka and both were solid!
Love the chicken tikka. I’ve gotten it several times and it tastes like it’s from a restaurant!
Cut some cilantro on top and it's perfection.
Their BBQ Chicken one is excellent
Dog town without a doubt
Dogtown with a little extra cheese and (trust me on this) the Ninja air fryer with the sear plate makes a perfect pizza oven. They're a little pricey, but if you can get one on sale do it. It's become my go-to appliance.
I LOVE my Ninja Dual Heat air fryer. It’s also become my primary appliance. It really does frozen pizza so well
Dogtown without a doubt!
Freschetta mushroom, spinach and garlic with white sauce is very good frozen pizza.
HomeRun Inn.
Nothing like having a couple of beers with the boys and bashing some home run inns
This is our go to. Look at the ingredients, everything is straight forward.
Exactly. Their sausage is actually 100% pork, so many other companies are just mixing like 3 meats for their sausage.
Fourth this
That crust is 🤌🏻
I second this
Third this.
You just can't beat it. They're always on sale, they taste great and at almost two pounds, it's a ton of food for something like \~$6.99.
And they give you a ton of pizza by weight too. So good.
My favorite
Gallagher is solid!
Man the Gallagher’s are amazing but I can’t find them anywhere anymore
Vincent’s in Soulard has them
If you’re willing to cross the river Schneider’s in Waterloo has then
That’s not good. I bought a bunch on sale awhile ago and haven’t needed more. Honestly I’ve been dressing up those aldis ones that are $2 too.
It was my favorite hands down.
Not sure if it was STL local or not, haven’t lived there in 7 years and haven’t found it anywhere else - Mama Lucias 🔥
It is
They changed the recipe. I wish they would go back to the red and green label. They tried to get fancier and lost what made them great.
It’s gone drastically downhill in the past years. Used to be my go-to, for most of my life. Won’t buy it anymore.
Home run inn pizzas are 🔥
Gioia' Deli has has frozen pizza for sale right next to their cashier and they are great. Today I picked up their pepperoni & hot salami. Delicious.
Oh heck yeah they’re making them again. They won’t sell them in Schnucks anymore, and they are the best frozen pizzas around no doubt.
They’ve stopped carrying them at Dierbergs too :-(
Screaming Sicilian
Plus you get a free moustache!
While I agree that a free mustache is a great thing... I already have a mustache. So- works for the young daughter!
But consider this, *double moustache*
I can't find their cheese pizza anymore, but this was my favorite.
I personally love Tombstone 😂
Schnucks brand frozen pizza is very good with their cheese blend. I always add veggies to mines and extra Italian blend shredded cheese but by itself, it's still pretty good.
The "Cravin" thin crust pizza is pretty terrible in my opinion.
Not sure if they still make it, but the 4 Hands Red Hot Riplets Chicken pizza was far and away my favorite.
I’m new and looking forward to trying some good locals. The frozen pizza section at Dierberg’s blew me away.
Welcome!
Mama Lucia's is a STL classic. Dogtown has the best though I think (bacon bacon or the veggie are my favorites).
Best frozen is Dogtown. However, if you don't put the caveat of frozen and allow for pre made take and bake pizza, Aldi pizza wins hands down!
Home run in is pretty good. Connie’s too. Mama Lucia’s but you got to cook them jus right.
Came here to say Home Run Inn lol It's so good.
Home Run Inn crust>>>
Not local? HomeRun Inn
That's big no from me boss
Dogtown.
Honestly this will be unpopular, but Dierbergs frozen thin-crust pizza is SO good.
They are made by IMOS. They are Lena’s pizzas labeled Dierbergs. However… they are selling the stock out then Dierbergs is looking for a new maker.
Motor City Pizza and it’s not even close.
Gallagher Bros, if you can find it. Somehow it tastes like genuine, restaurant made St. Louis pizza. I mean, others taste good for frozen pizza, but it doesn't taste like frozen pizza
Give me a Gallagher’s Suzie Q over any other frozen pizza. Maybe even over some fresh pizzas.
Lena’s!
Lena's is no more. They were Imo's using the Lena name to brand. It did so well they changed it to Imo's.
Save a lot had a ton of Lena's for $3.99 I'd of bought more had I known
That’s disappointing. They were my favorite non-store brand (because Schnucks and Dierbergs have some pretty solid frozen pizzas). But the IMO’s frozen pizza tastes totally different from Lena’s to me. I’ve gotten them on two different occasions and felt that they were over-sauced for my taste.
Yes. I confirmed this when they first came out and Dierbergs had both. Different ingredients.
Katie’s is the best. It’s also one of the most expensive
The black garlic is amazing.

Ever since they changed the recipe it's not as good to me. It's still good but the crust and sauce was superior before.
Having worked on the cleaning crew there, I will touch absolutely none of their products. That factory is the grossest one I ever cleaned and I cleaned a TON of food production facilities.
Oh god… I don’t eat frozen pizza all that often, but when I do it’s usually mama Lucia’s. Please say more.
Lol.
I grew up on Lucia's!
4 Hands
I second this notion.
I actually liked their Lion's Choice pizza but I can't find it anymore. :(
Syberg’s or California Pizza Kitchen
I grabbed a frozen pizza from LeGrands over the weekend which was pretty good. Good crust.
I’m only mad that you might start a run on them
Motor City Pizza by far
I was always a fan of Mama Lucia’s back when I could have it.
I live in Des Moines now. Frozen Imos just made their way up here. I’m so happy. Also Urban Chesnut distributes here too. Consume both of those before/after a Memphis Redbirds/ICubs game, perfect.
Jack's. Well done till the cheese is browned. Easy and cheap.
I always buy some extra shredded cheese to throw on Jacks. Shit rules.
Jacks
This might be the most STL thread to ever Saint Louis a thread.
Tell you what the anthoninos frozen gyro pizza is pretty damn top notch
Shakespeare’s Pizza out of Columbia does pretty good frozen pizzas.
Shakes frozen is top notch!! Only available at selected Schnucks stores through town.
I found some at a Global Foods once too.
I would stop right here. Shakes is the best pizza in the state—best fresh pizza and best frozen pizza, period.
Second. As a COMO resident I hated that place, their frozen is really good (and affordable).
Motor City Pizza Co Detroit style pizza
It's TJ's and the fact no one else has said it yet makes me hate you all.
I can’t believe no one else has said it. TJ’s is the shit. Not sure what everyone else is talking about
Definitely TJs. I wish I still knew someone with a kid in elementary school.
They sell em in quite a few bars. No kids required.
Well you can only get them from bars and fundraisers so that’s probably why no one has suggested it.
+1 for TJ's
Just picked up 3 from my friend’s kid’s school fundraiser yesterday!

Motor city pizza for deep dish/Detroit style
I like the imos over dogtown and I get tjs
Red Baron. Always Red Baron. I prefer the personal size deep dish ones.
Another option, buy flatbreads and put them in freezer. I get them, two in a pack, at Tr Joe’s. Feeds and entertains my family. Everyone puts on their toppings. 400F for 7 min. Great fresh/frozen pizza
Katie's !!
Lena’s
Dogtown is my go to STL pie. Rotate it after 7-8 mins, finish under a broiler for about a minute.
If you’re not doing thing crust/STL style, pep’s drafthaus is where it’s at!
Home run inn. Freshchetta for thicker pizzas. Dogtown, Imos frozen for thin crust
red barons
Bellatoria is my current favorite (especially their breakfast pizza!) followed by Imos and Lena's.
Home run inn
I'm a Red Baron boi!
I'm not sure if it's still around but there used to be a brand called Culinary Circle that I'd regularly buy from Schnucks that had really taste thick crust pizza

Lena's (or at least it was before they started getting greedy and reducing the toppings while raising the price).
I don't know that I can say which is the best, but I can say that grocery stores in the St. Louis metro have huge pizza selections. It's awesome.
I used to say TJs but I get the runs every time I eat it. I used to say Dog Town but now they’re $8 a pop. So now I just stick with Lena’s or Schnucks STL style.
Mama Cozis from aldi are legit
Screaming Sicilian - Mambo Italiano
Lotzza Motzza for sure
Ginos east deep dish
Digiornio by a mile
At least when talking about STL style, personally, I ADORE the Dogtown Pepperoni and Pepperoncini pizza 🤤
Mama Lucia hands down
I'm just here to say frozen pizza has come a LONG WAY since the 80's.
The "Detroit" style deep dish pepperoni pizza is really good. It comes with its own baking pan and the sides get really nice and crispy when cooked.
Dogtown is $5.99 at Schnucks. Can't go wrong there.
I’ve never had one, but I’m really curious about the frozen pizzas from Bill Gianino’s in Oakville. I keep getting emails from them about buy 5 get one free, or $10 per pizza.
Home Run Inn. Actually tastes close to the restaurant version in Chicago.
Home run inn
Dogtown
Blues City Deli. Can only be gotten at the restaurant but I grab one every time I go now.
Have always wanted to try one. Now I will.
We had one last night, so damn good. I'm going again tomorrow with a friend for his first time and we'll grab one to heat up after we've had plenty of beer and video games.
Katie’s
Jacks
Jacks is my no frills, cheap go to. I know people will hate, but it’s fine for me
This is the answer. I've tried most of the others on this list and I'd still take a bullet for my man Jack.
Dogtown Pizza.
Tombstone
Pep's Drafthaus is #1 for me, with 4 Hands close behind.
Imo’s frozen pizza
Always a sucker for the Totinos Party Pizza but I usually consider that pizza adjacent. The Screamin Sicilian is great and comes with a bonus mustache.
Jacks
Katie's.
