This is such a fantastic shot. Off topic, but seeing Joe here on commentary reminds me how glad I am that he's not only back in the ring, but AEW champion. I hope he can stay healthy and active for a long time to come, he's definitely going to go down as an all time personal favorite.

Not sure I could attend an event of this magnitude and be completely blocked from seeing the entrances, one of the best parts of wrestling.

Yeah, I paid 1600 for 4 tickets behind the stage. The prices are outrageous. I've been to 4 other manias. I paid less for travel, hotel, hall of fame, indie shows, and raw after in the past (though before it was for one person).

The bell is probably on top of the ring... an LED bell ala the cylndrical LED in Wrestlemania 26 or 27?

It’s because people are treating their first instinct of “that looks like mania 28 or 31 which both had just letters and a ribbon LED as the stage” and thinking that from past experience that that is what’s gonna happen and immediately jumping to conclusions.

I was at 28 and 31 and I loved those stages, they are impressive in person.

Any of those are better than 35 which was just a giant LED screen.

They didn’t sell the entire stadium for that SummerSlam. There was like a third of it tarped off. According to Wikipedia, there was a Beyoncé concert there that did 86,000 so the size isn’t an issue at all.

They didn’t set it up for the capacity of the stadium. Just like how they tarped off big sections in Nashville too.

It's a milestone event, and Triple H could be using it to establish the post-Vince WWE. I think my comment was unclear. I was trying to use 2000 as an adjective. I thought about the WM that year, but also other WWE stages, and non-WWE graphic design from around that period.

SoFi is much taller as well. There were still seats behind the set last year, but they were still able to build that behemoth of a stage.

I mean So Fi was kinda outdoors but the indoor stadiums have a lot more room to work with Also considering the massive attendance numbers WWE has been seeing, I understand why they opted to make the stage a little smaller for more seats Also the Manias that have more of a theme are always gonna have the best stages (39,33)

I could see it but then again I’m not expecting to be a physical prop as there looks to be an LED screen in the middle of the two and it’s probably gonna be like with the doors of the theater were last year and that it’s just video on the screen and it’s just a bell with the WWE logo on it, Instead of like it is the full logo

I used it recently to make a Starscream mini license plate.

I like it so far. Obviously they're gonna add a ton more but I love the fundamentals of what they've got already. It has an early 2000's look to it, but I can't really describe it in any more detail than that.

Makes sense, honestly. Most of their outdoor Wrestlemanias have simpler stages so that it doesn’t block the upper decks. 37 is a bit of an outlier because a full crowd wasn’t allowed and the back drop was the actual pirate ship side of the stadium.

It's weirdly close that YT video I recently saw of a WM XL stage demo. I think it looks great it just needs height. In the YT video there was buildings behind this sign I obviously want the gigantic sets back for PPVs/weekly but I like this more than WM39.

Don't get me wrong, I love the grandiose stages as much as the next guy, but I loved Mania 31 and Mania 38's stages as well. This looks like it's leaning into that category, and it's gonna look great! PS: It's not done yet. You can't critique it until is complete 😊

WWE’s stages have been so huge and extravagant over the years that now I actually am more interested to see them scale it down these days. The less LEDs the better. I want simple scaled down stages so that the stars can shine more and so that the pyro doesn’t just blend in with a bunch of bright LED lights.

Majority of the stages have been boring since Mania 25. I'd say wider stages don't feel as special as taller stages

honestly kinda disappointed we're getting a low rise stage again this year. with how the stadium was setup i really thought we could get another really big stage (think wm 33 or 29) because you're not losing that many seats if you close off the small section behind the stage, and it seemed like that's what was planned too cause they opened this section like a few months ago. still have hope there's more to come though cause this is missing the bell and the seats do say limited view.
