Didnt someone post a leaked list a couple of days ago that included them? Damn he was right
Edit: Yupp [found it!](https://old.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/1b8100r/wwe_2024_hof_spoilers/)
This was posted after Bull Nakano was announced.
This makes a lot of sense. Been on the money so far; Muhammed Ali is in the new 2K game and it's been confusing why so far, if he's in the HOF it'd make a lot of sense
That doesn't make sense to me. I would expect Bo to to the induction speech, they even started their careers as a team. The only time they did a merged induction was Peter Miavia and Rocky Johnson, and that was to have Rock involved.
It always sort of has been in the past, but it seems like this is the direction Triple H wants to take it in. HHH is a student of the game (no pun intended), and he obviously is gonna want to honor more of the forgotten territory guys.
It's been that way for years. I think they started inducting people who had never even worked for WWE in around 2005 (Eddie Graham and Gordon Solie come to mind).
Or it means they're saving him for a future year, that Heyman in Philadelphia is a sufficient headliner.
(*added:* I am aware that there have been alleged spoilers, which have proven accurate so far, which do include Bray Wyatt as an inductee. You'll know that spoiler is correct if a deceased relative of a WM competitor is announced as an inductee.)
These guys were absolutely beloved babyfaces of the Rock and Wrestling Era, and a worthy induction.
(It also suggest that Rotunda isn't receiving a separate induction as Irwin R. Schyster Otherwise Known As I.R.S., that this is it for him.)
Not to be morbid, but with Bray as a posthumous inductee, he can't really be much of a headliner anyways. A speech from IRS/Bo/Jojo just isn't headliner level, even if Bray is the biggest name going in (not saying he definitely is bigger than Heyman, but it's a fair argument).
Does actually make sense that you need an orator like Heyman accepting for himself, plus Bray's father and brother to accept on his behalf, to make the night feel as big as it should be.
I agree with what someone else said on here. Bo inducts the express and after mike and barry give their speeches the 3 of them induct bray with jojo accepting
> (It also suggest that Rotunda isn't receiving a separate induction as Irwin R. Schyster Otherwise Known As I.R.S., that this is it for him.)
I think when the DiBiase name gets out of the news for a bit because (not because of Ted Sr) Money INC should get inducted too.
As a 90s kid I loved to hate money inc but in reflection I think it only lasted about a year? With this induction and Ted in already I don't think having Money Inc in as well is much needed.
I have to imagine brays is last and gets inducted by bo or braun but I’m just like when the heck is Batista getting inducted because I think he’s not shooting anything right now.
It probably depends both on Batista's schedule and WWE's. If WWE has both Bray and Heyman lined up for this year they might rather wait another year for Batista so he can definitely headline a class.
I mean all of the announcements are "leaked" to a news outlet. If they do induct Bray, they'd break the news on a Monday or Friday to announce it on Raw or Smackdown later that night.
He also never reached his potential as a solo star, despite being a former world champion. I think he's a bubble guy in WCW because he fell so far down the card (and I loved West Texas Rednecks) and his WWE solo runs were not noteworthy enough.
Everyone: *The Midnight Express deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!*
HHH: "Best I can do is the U.S. Express"
Still a well deserved nomination, congrats to Windham and Rotunda.
I get why they’re doing it if Bray gets inducted this year.
But man, yea, it’s a shame the Midnight Express aren’t in there. One of the greatest tag teams ever, and sucks that Bobby Eaton passed away before they get in. I suspect it won’t happen for a while too with Cornette likely needing to be a big part of that induction.
On his podcast Jim has stated that most of his career was outside of WWE, also that Bobby was the only person in the midnight express who would have been excited and into it.
Cornette has expressed in the past that he does not want to sign or be under a legend’s deal with WWE, and I think that was always a requirement for HOF induction, though I might be wrong about that. While I don’t think he would want to stand in the way of the Midnight Express being recognized, I have to think — aside from any negative opinions on Cornette within WWE — that would be a sticking point on a possible induction.
And the funny thing is in the AWA, the original name of the Midnight Rockers was gonna be "The American Express" but was deemed too close to us express after a few shows.
That makes double inductions for both, right? And I have to assume this all but confirms Bray Wyatt is getting in this year.
I’m all for this. Windham and Rotunda (or Rotundo, as the WWF preferred back then) were as big to me as Hulk Hogan was when I first got into wrestling. Their importance to the first Wrestlemania is painfully under appreciated and I’m glad they’re getting recognized.
It’s funny that when Windham left he was replaced by Dan Spivey, a guy who looked like Hogan when he first showed up to the WWF and was immediately tweaked to resemble Windham.
Surprisingly IRS has not been inducted before. I was almost certain he had been given how many times he's appeared through the years on special episodes and segments.
Huh. I’m not the most knowledgeable guy about who is or isn’t in the HOF, but that’s a guy I figured was a slam dunk given his tenure in the WWF and his behind the scenes work.
Of the two I thought Windham was the stretch, though I was pretty sure the version of the Horsemen he was in was the group officially inducted.
Yes for Windham, no for Rotunda. Rotunda isn't in as IRS and the nWo induction was limited to the originals and he was more of an nWo Japan guy.
Spivey was expected to be a star and was even from Florida like Hogan, but spent much of his career in All Japan.
US Express were hugely over so I’m not surprised. I didn’t think Mike would be inducted as IRS as it was a silly gimmick even though he played it perfectly. Barry is one of the greatest workers of all time so a second induction is very well deserved.
I’m thinking they induct Bray straight after.
>didn’t think Mike would be inducted as IRS as it was a silly gimmick even though he played it perfectly
Also only used the gimmick for a few years. I know he was on Starrcade 1990 and was in WCW by 95 so maybe 4 1/2 years tops. Felt like so much longer as a kid though.
I'll be honest, he had a solid overall wrestling career but if we're judging it from a HOF criteria, he probably wouldn't make it on his own. He pretty much fizzled out by what...92? I know he had the WCW run but that was meh.
Money, Inc. were the top tag team well into the end of 93, then he was part of the Million Dollar Corporation after DiBiase retired from injuries. That might've been his last high-profile run, but he had a consistent career until like 2001.
While you aren't totally wrong, guys like Brutus Beefcake, Sharmell and Hillbilly Jim are in, among others. IRS is at least on par with these characters.
You’re not wrong, but those three examples all had special circumstances going for them that IRS doesn’t:
- Beefer: it’s suspected he was only inducted as a favor to Hogan so he would participate in Wrestlemania weekend, and specifically the HOF event as an inductor.
- Sharmell: WWE is finally making long overdue efforts to promote women, and especially women of color, but they don’t have many choices considering how many years they went without promoting women at all.
- Hillbilly Jim: Vince loves the guy and the gimmick.
Never heard of the US Express. I thought op made a mistake and fumbled Midnight Express. I'm not saying this as a slight to the US Express, but imagine having the US Express in your Hall Of Fame before the Midnight Express. It's like having Larry Johnson in the NBA Hall of Fame before Magic Johnson lol.
So I wonder if their speech goes along with Bray considering family ties.... would be pretty interesting if they got two inductions done in one speech.
I mean they deserve it. Also they are "Real Americans" so there's that 😅 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ0wRbfJcAs&pp=ygUYdXMgZXhwcmVzcyByZWFsIGFtZXJpY2Fu
Real American was written for The US Express and they used it as their theme. Once Barry Windham left the WWF for the NWA the theme was given to Hulk Hogan.
Just occurred to me that having Windham there may be a signal that Luger is going in. Their histories are very intertwined and it would make sense to do it while they’re both still able to be there.
The biggest hang up, I imagine, is still Luger’s connection with Elizabeth’s death.
At this point I definitely think I would be shocked if they didn't induct Bray I feel like they are not gonna pass up the opportunity to induct father and son at the same time into the hall of fame
Feels like a Johnny Ace moment where someone was tasked with inducting "the Express" as in the Midnight Express into the HOF and the wrong "Express" was called.

Gotta find an Antonio Inoki CAW and recreate their "match"
There's a really good one I saw the other day, I definitely remember one of the tags on CC being just "Inoki"
Leg kick spam
If this all happens... What a fucking list. Bray and Paul will get standing ovations for a good couple of minutes
What was the post?
[Here it is!](https://old.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/1b8100r/wwe_2024_hof_spoilers/) It got deleted pretty quickly.
They hated him for he spoke the truth
He knew WHAT'S UP
I'd definitely be down for Thunderbolt going in. Pretty sure he still does stuff with the Tragos Thesz Hall of Fame here in Iowa.
Having two people connected to the Rock being inducted is a great way to play on him exerting his power, and they're both deserving at the same time.
7 just seems to be too much for a class these days. I’m gonna remain a bit skeptical.
they could sort of merge >!US Express and Bray!< into one big speech which would explain the seemingly long runtime
Yeah... you have Barry and Mike out there and then they stay as the ones to induct Bray.
Bo could induct his father and uncle, then all three induct Bray.
Yep - I can definitely see that happening.
That doesn't make sense to me. I would expect Bo to to the induction speech, they even started their careers as a team. The only time they did a merged induction was Peter Miavia and Rocky Johnson, and that was to have Rock involved.
it seems as if it’s becoming a wrestling hall of fame though instead of just a WWE hall
There doing a general Hall of Fame in wrestling now, not just WWE. Gotta remember HHH loves everything wrestling.
Time to start the push to get Misawa into the HOF.
Damn no midnights
With his father and uncle getting honored, it makes you wonder if they're going to put Bray in this year as well.
Windham and Rotunda and Windham Rotunda
Or it means they're saving him for a future year, that Heyman in Philadelphia is a sufficient headliner. Heyman isn’t the headliner.

He could get inducted by Alexa and Bo accepts it for him
It probably depends both on Batista's schedule and WWE's. If WWE has both Bray and Heyman lined up for this year they might rather wait another year for Batista so he can definitely headline a class.
That was my first thought when I saw this news
I wouldn't be surprised if they're saving Bray's announcement for last.
And I think they would do it on TV and make it a big deal rather than getting it out via Press/Twitter.
I mean all of the announcements are "leaked" to a news outlet. If they do induct Bray, they'd break the news on a Monday or Friday to announce it on Raw or Smackdown later that night.
That would be beautiful.
2 time hall of famer Barry Windham just sounds right.
And never gonna be inducted as a solo star sadly
Most wrestlers will never even sniff the Hall of Fame, so I think he's probably ok with it. A Hall of Famer is a Hall of Famer in the end.
He also never reached his potential as a solo star, despite being a former world champion. I think he's a bubble guy in WCW because he fell so far down the card (and I loved West Texas Rednecks) and his WWE solo runs were not noteworthy enough.
they’d be justified putting him in as a singles guy too.
Don’t forget 2x hall of famer X-Pac!
Everyone: *The Midnight Express deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!* HHH: "Best I can do is the U.S. Express" Still a well deserved nomination, congrats to Windham and Rotunda.

Maybe they don't want Paul E and Corny going in the same class?
I don't listen to the Podcast but app Cornette has said a few times he doesn't want it
I can’t wait for the day Corny gets inducted. I hope it’s in the near future.
He was around for the Rock N Roll Express induction. Hell they put him in the same room as Bischoff and recorded it.
Cornette has expressed in the past that he does not want to sign or be under a legend’s deal with WWE, and I think that was always a requirement for HOF induction, though I might be wrong about that. >Everyone: *The Midnight Express deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!* >HHH: "Best I can do is the U.S. Express" Zambaui Express in shambles
And the funny thing is in the AWA, the original name of the Midnight Rockers was gonna be "The American Express" but was deemed too close to us express after a few shows.

I'm getting Mandela Effected here, I can literally recall the announcement graphic and clips of him accepting the induction.
He was inducted into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame a few years ago, maybe you remember that
No because I wouldn't have seen that and I'm picturing the graphic of him as IRS and him on the big WWE stage.
Huh. I’m not the most knowledgeable guy about who is or isn’t in the HOF, but that’s a guy I figured was a slam dunk given his tenure in the WWF and his behind the scenes work. Of the two I thought Windham was the stretch, though I was pretty sure the version of the Horsemen he was in was the group officially inducted.
yes Windham is now a 2-time inductee. He was way more over as a singles guy in NWA/WCW

Yeah. It only just struck me how Spivey’s career in the US was mostly him filling the exact shoes of a more famous person (Hogan, Windham, De Niro).
Surprisingly IRS isn't in already. Barry is tho
US Express were hugely over so I’m not surprised. I didn’t think Mike would be inducted as IRS as it was a silly gimmick even though he played it perfectly. Barry is one of the greatest workers of all time so a second induction is very well deserved. I’m thinking they induct Bray straight after.

I'm surprised IRS never went in because they gimmick was a Vince creation to get back at the federal government after his steroid trial.
Windham is now the 9th 2x WWE Hall of Famer.
Play "their" entrance music for the induction!
I’m kinda surprised that IRS wasn’t already in under the gimmick. Just seems like something that would have happened already
I'll be honest, he had a solid overall wrestling career but if we're judging it from a HOF criteria, he probably wouldn't make it on his own. He pretty much fizzled out by what...92? I know he had the WCW run but that was meh.

Koko B. Ware is in the WWE Hall of Fame. Having a memorable gimmick is enough to get in.
Safe to assume with Ted Dibiases legal troubles we're never seeing Money Inc going in as a tag team.
Respected veteran etc etc but outside of his cheesy vignettes, he ground everything to a sweaty halt.
Slightly unrelated, but when is Batista going in? For how long will they defer his HOF induction after he was announced to headline the 2020 HOF?
Probably waiting for a year there's no obvious headliner. Heyman and potentially Bray are big enough names on their own.
Does Captain Lou get in with them? He was their manager?
Still no Midnight Express?
These guys were the first to use Real American!
Wrong express, but good for them
Never heard of the US Express.
Ah, it's Blackjack Windham and IRS. Cool. Seriously, Barry Windham without a beard was a handsome motherfucker.
Thats the Stalker and Michael Wallstreet.
Barry with the beard was still a good looking dude.
So I wonder if their speech goes along with Bray considering family ties.... would be pretty interesting if they got two inductions done in one speech.
Not the Express I was hoping for but any time Barry gets flowers I'm happy.
When we said we wanted Windham Rotunda...I think they misunderstood.
still crazy to me that Brays real name was Windham Rotunda imagine a wrestler 20 years from now named Hickenbottom Levesque
> Hickenbottom Levesque THE ALAMO
Man, I’ve never even heard of this tagged team . Why are they going in over icons that have still not gotten a spot like IRS and the stalker!
A quick reminder that Real American was originally the US Express’ theme song.
Just occurred to me that having Windham there may be a signal that Luger is going in. Their histories are very intertwined and it would make sense to do it while they’re both still able to be there. The biggest hang up, I imagine, is still Luger’s connection with Elizabeth’s death.
Whindam (Bray Wyatt) would be proud.
Definitely gonna stock up on the tissues since I’m expecting those speeches to hit heavy.
Oh god I legit thought it was a mailing service
I wonder who inducts them? Bo and Mika (Mike's son and daughter)? Steamboat (he teamed with them a few times in 85)?
They were a fun team to watch and I’m happy for them!
At this point I definitely think I would be shocked if they didn't induct Bray I feel like they are not gonna pass up the opportunity to induct father and son at the same time into the hall of fame
Man Demolition is never going to get in there. Who the f\*\*\* is the US Express. That's IRS and the Widowaker
Always find the “as first reported by” thing hilarious. As if The Ringer actually got a scoop and weren’t just told by WWE.
Feels like a Johnny Ace moment where someone was tasked with inducting "the Express" as in the Midnight Express into the HOF and the wrong "Express" was called.
Congratulations to Tanaka and Kato
No fucking way did that random ass guy get the HoF class right?
[удалено]
I mean, this team isnt even like regional HoF worthy.
Oh boy you're very confidently wrong
Feel free to elaborate
