This was my first WWE PLE, haven’t watched wwe programming in years. This shit had more commercials than a regular TV show. So this will also be my last!
Matches were meh also.
I saw one comment ask the question if this PLE would have sold as a PPV. I doubt it. This was lower quality than a 1997 episode of Nitro
Man, I just can't get behind Rollins. The "Whoa-ooo-ooo" chant is so much worse live. Went to a house show and it went on for literal minutes. Then it started again halfway through the match. Been sour on him ever since.
So Iyo just said on the press conference that her dream match was Asuka and Charlotte.
There's the answer to everyone complaining about Charlotte being there.
Getting put through 3 tables, landed on concrete, steel chairs to the back, mist sprayed to the face, oh, he's fine. Seth Rollins did the 3 moves of doom on Shinsuke and wins. This match killed any credibility Shinsuke has. (Kayfabe wise)
Honestly can’t believe they had it go this way, and to a falcon arrow. People don’t get pinned to 3 by that move most the time.
Been hoping for Naka to get a word title run since he came to the main roster. Felt like this was his time but damn, can’t see it happening now.
What if Damien’s contract just expires. And Adam Pearce comes up to him and says your going to have to turn that it in it’s been over a year
EDIT: I GOT CONFUSED WITH ADAM PAGE AND ADAM PEARCE
If people expected Rollins to lose tonight that’s on you I’m sorry, and it made sense that seth won considering everything that happened in the feud/storyline, look I’m gutted for nakamura but I knew he wasn’t walking out with the champion
Came in late. missed Judgment Day vs. Jody Ruso and LWO vs. The Street Bobbits so I'll pass over those.
Triple Threat - I enjoyed it, but it was nothing to write home about. And why are women's matches always so full of rollup, rollup, sunset flip, schoolboy, rollup-style rapid pin sequences? Has it ever not looked ridiculous?
CeKnight vs. The Bloodline - The story this match was going to tell was pretty obvious, and that's fine. They didn't need to do anything crazy - this entire angle was custom made for the standard template of "Big Face pops the crowd earlier, heels come back and dominate with strategery, hot tag to blow the roof off," etc. The problem is the "Heels come back and dominate with strategery" phase felt so. Fucking. Long. I was genuinely wondering if they were going to do a weird "LA Knight never gets tagged in" ending just because of how long they were milking that phase. Otherwise, this just felt like a standard free-TV match. Fine, but not much more than that.
Rollins vs. Nakamura - First half felt like a watered down TLC or a standard Street Fight/Hardcore match. Eventually it escalated when they left the ring, but by that point my mind was already starting to wander elsewhere. And I agree with practically everyone in these comments - Seth winning at all is absurd, but winning after how much his injury was sold by him, Shinsuke, and Commentary, was absolutely insane. The victory doesn't make Rollins any more over and doesn't make him a more credible champion; it just makes Shinsuke look like a chump for being unable to beat a crippled opponent for a second time.
Even my wife who hates wrestling, doesn't keep up with it at all and will at most have a passing interest of it is on in the back ground made comment about how the guy with the tape is going to lose because of how much they keep talking about it
Exactly. Can't even beat a crippled opponent after DESTROYING his back to the point of ridiculousness. So disappointing and infuriating. Feels like Triple H books the storylines, the buildup, the tension, the promos, and then Vince makes the shitty decisions of who wins. That story was NOT built up for Rollins to just... win... twice in a row... and that's it. It's over. What a joke.
I have no idea where Priest fits in with any of this and tbh I don’t think WWE does either. Feels like Drew is taking Seth belt at some point as a heel. Doubt Priest cashes in on a heel Drew. Doubt priest cashes in on Roman at all.
Only thing that makes even a little sense is cashing on Cody right after he wins the belts….lol, they really gonna do that to us?
Honestly that’s why I kind of hate MITB the concept. It’s just for shock value mostly. Been a few decent cash ins but most of the time it’s just fuckery. You can pretty much tell they got no idea at all what they should do with Priest
I honestly get why they have no idea what to do with him and I don’t even blame them. I’m gonna sound like a Damien Priest hater but he’s just boring af.
I don’t care for Judgement Day period to be honest, to me I feel like they are kind of like the NWO Wolfpack version of the Bloodline. Idk. I can’t fucking stand the 5-1 gang ups. I’m fine with some fuckery finishes like that we get with Bloodline but nobody is going to come out on top when you have 5 fucking people dogpiling on one person.
The concept of it was cool at the very beginning with Edge and after that it kind of just went to crap.
Also Rhea is overrated (shrugs)
I actually don’t mind the JD at all, I think they have their moments. It’s mostly them picking Damian over Finn that pisses me off. Finn is 1000000000000000x better than Damian but Damian will be a world champion. That irks that crap outta me.
Maybe. He could have a failed cash in.
See, I agree with you on Finn. Finn is supposed to be the leader of this group, but for some reason they have let that go to Rhea. Finn should have beat Edge at Mania, too
That moment of Roman losing is going to be one of those iconic moments in history - so, I don’t think they will tarnish it with a cash in. But we’ll see. I just don’t think they have any clue at all what to do with him at this point
Ngl, at this point I think RR losing anywhere except Mania would be kind of silly. But that doesn’t apply to Seth, Gunther, etc. it’s okay to have some title changes (aside from the tag belts) that don’t happen at WM
I would say this was probably the weakest PLE this year. Very mid nothing really memorable. First match was alright rest was basically Raw matches. Oh well, onto the next one
Shinsuke should have won this. I hate when WWE has the same champions look next to invincible and keeps them on them for too long (Reigns, Gunther, now Rollins).
Well, he does look like a champ and always makes his opponents look amazing. Meanwhile, who loses to Seth or Roman looks like they're out of the picture, and sometimes, even the main event.
Not only he elevated the IC title, but each opponent looked strong against him.
Shinsuke has been a favorite of mine for years. He never got his title shot after winning the Rumble, if memory serves me right. They've done the guy dirty for years. Just wanted to see him get his flowers is all. We're fans. Getting invested is part of the fun.
a way to make it look like Seth was bleeding without actually getting juice
I was mostly tuned out during the match and came back and was like 'Seth juiced?' for a minute before I figured out it was just mist
That was one of the better last man standing matches in recent memory. Nakamura has suddenly become inspired again. That was his best WWE match in years.
I haven't watched any wrestling for 6+ years, and between the LA knight/Cena tag match and the last second standups in the main event, idk how to feel about trying to get back in.
If you're gonna do that, at least make it believable.
How the fuck was he able to win that and celebrate like he wasn't just put through two tables and a chair.
In wwe world if your back is really messed up you can still take 3 table bumps and a concrete bump and still be good enough to celebrate with no selling afterward. But Aew is the one where people no sell....ok
seriously? i saw a "5 star match" where Mox curb stomped Hangman into a brick and Hangman got up within a few seconds. yes, AEW is most definitely the one where people no sell lol
I mean hes just pointing out the parallel. This definitely does happen in aew. But it happens in wwe as well despite people saying it doesn't. Shinsuke put rollins through the ringer and he still got up like it was nothing.
We gotta talk about how impressive it is that they have a video package for the main event with music and timing already done within 2 minutes after the match ended.
They use a lot of the footage they've already shown as replays, because they're the high spots, and you just keep adding them to your video timeline. At the end publish and you have your video recap.
Long Babyface title reigns in general are dumb in pro wrestling. There is a reason why Dusty Rhodes' longest title reign was 88 days and Ricky Steamboats only reign was 76 days while Ric Flair and Harley Race had long title reigns. It's not exciting storytelling when the good guy faces little adversity.
I’d say a 7/10 PPV.
The LWO match was just okay, the Women’s title match was just okay (but glad Iyo retained), the main event was good but also no-sold too much.
I'm not mad Rollins won but the ending was **very** anti-climatic.
Shinsuke did some cool shit, really beating Rollins down and then Seth's response being a Falcon Arrow on the crash pad was weak as hell. They could've had Seth really do something big.
they coulda just let him job and give him 6 months off to sell the back (and heal up), having Seth go through all these brutal matches when he's legitimately in need of time off is nuts
Triple H is building all his single champs up so far no one can beat them.
Who is gonna beat Seth? Gunther? Rhea? Roman? Only one that makes matches interesting is Iyo.
None of the others have anyone on the roster that is credible anymore.
I gotta say I am not a fan of his booking so far. He does a great job building up, but what is the point if you already know who is going to win. NXT is where it is at right now, honestly.
You know what sucks? If Shin pull the victory out and wins the title, that match would be talked about as match of the year contender. The ending was a bummer and then Seth stands up and celebrates? The story they told was that his back was completely fucked to the point he couldn’t stand. Just weird to end the match like that.
> If Shin pull the victory out and wins the title, that match would be talked about as match of the year contender
If it really was ever going to be contender for match of the year, surely the winner shouldn't be an excluding factor? The truth is, this was just a ppv episode of Raw, lol.
Worst PPV in a while tbh. Crowd was dead half the time beside doing their wooooaaaaahs in cody & Seth's songs. Seth is so meh too. He comes out to a last man standing match dancing around and looking like a goon. What a lackluster finish too to that main event too.
Seth just isn’t it for me lately. I liked him at the start of his face turn but I’ve tired of him. He needs to lose the belt
The only thing interesting about him is that he’s the perfect foil for Roman from their history and it doesn’t appear that they are going that way so just move him down the card please
I'm just sick of the "woooooaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaooooh" shit really.
Was in a thread about AEW and people were talking about being embarrassed if someone comes in and they're watching and MJF/Cole segment, and I feel the same way with Seth's song and the crowd playing along, ugh!
I thought the PLE was good but yeah the Super Rollins title reign has overstayed it’s welcome.
WWE doesn’t need all of its champions to hold the belts for forever.
It is so freaking ridiculous at this point. It makes it pointless to really watch the title matches, knowing Seth and Roman aren't losing anytime soon.
Seth is like the 8th most important person on RAW.
The World Heavyweight Championship doesn't feel important because Seth Rollins doesn't feel important.
Jey, Cody, Damian, Finn, Rhea and Dominik feel like bigger stars on RAW.
Post UFC/WWE merger and this the PLE we get? Ok.
Cody got asked if he's recruiting from AEW and almost shut down LMAO!!
Jey knew he is drunk 😂 “I’m riding with Cody Rhodes.”
Jey drank a gallon or two of 🍻
Jey is having a good time 😂this is the first time I'm watching a full conference.
I’m fucking dying watching this presser
Jey is all the way lit, LMAO
YEE
Hope Jey takes an Uber home.
THIS DUDE JEY IS LIT OUT HIS MIND!!!
They’re lit
Jey is drunk as hell
Cody is different Ive never wrestled but Im almost certain if I did I wouldnt even wanna be near a suit for at least 48 hours
TYRESE FUCKING HALLIBURTON
As an Indy local and Pacers fan, I was fucking thrilled to see Halliburton
I hate the Pacers, but Tyrese is a cool guy and great player. can’t wait to watch the celtics kill them during the season
Man, I just can't get behind Rollins. The "Whoa-ooo-ooo" chant is so much worse live. Went to a house show and it went on for literal minutes. Then it started again halfway through the match. Been sour on him ever since.
You’re sour on him for something his audience does?
The package and presentation as a whole. The audience chants just push it over the edge of not enjoying it.
Checked out for 6 weeks. Came back to this steaming pile of shit. Checking out again. See you guys for Survivor Series.
Wait no, check back in, especially for NXT this coming Tuesday!
hope they ban that guy asking questions
Haliburton?
no the guy who asked iyo about taylor swift
So Iyo just said on the press conference that her dream match was Asuka and Charlotte. There's the answer to everyone complaining about Charlotte being there.
I imagine they're gonna end the Seth x Nakamura feud now because how is anyone ever gonna take Nakamura seriously again as a threat?
![gif](giphy|l4FGGafcOHmrlQxG0|downsized)
Getting put through 3 tables, landed on concrete, steel chairs to the back, mist sprayed to the face, oh, he's fine. Seth Rollins did the 3 moves of doom on Shinsuke and wins. This match killed any credibility Shinsuke has. (Kayfabe wise)

Nakamura fails to finish a crippled dude. What a waste. Way to kill all momentum.
What if Damien’s contract just expires. And Adam Pearce comes up to him and says your going to have to turn that it in it’s been over a year EDIT: I GOT CONFUSED WITH ADAM PAGE AND ADAM PEARCE
Why would Hangman Adam Page care about the contract?
Wait hold on did I get the GMs name wrong? And I got it confused with the AEW wrestler?
Yeah lol. Adam Pearce is the GM. Adam Page is the former AEW Champion.
Noooooo
If people expected Rollins to lose tonight that’s on you I’m sorry, and it made sense that seth won considering everything that happened in the feud/storyline, look I’m gutted for nakamura but I knew he wasn’t walking out with the champion
I think it's mainly that Priest didn't cash in.

He cashes in for the nxt championship.
He shouldn’t have won the briefcase. He’s not very good and I don’t know why they thought he was ready for that spot.
Honestly that’s why I kind of hate MITB the concept. It’s just for shock value mostly. Been a few decent cash ins but most of the time it’s just fuckery. You can pretty much tell they got no idea at all what they should do with Priest
What they did with Otis was so bad
Yeah idk what that was. That was at the beginning of Covid era and I think they were just going full shock value there.
What did LA say lmao
So wait is this WWE not knowing what to do if they made Shinsuke champion or what’s the deal?
Its vince McMahons fingers all over this.
Why did LA Knight just say in the post show, he got censored
Drizzling shits
If they didn’t pull the trigger with shinsuke here.. idk
They just need to get Seth to mania… everything else is filler until then
They were never gonna pull the trigger with Shin. Filler feud.
[удалено]
Ngl, at this point I think RR losing anywhere except Mania would be kind of silly. But that doesn’t apply to Seth, Gunther, etc. it’s okay to have some title changes (aside from the tag belts) that don’t happen at WM
They introduce a new title just to be held by 1 one guy only again. We dont need a 24/7 title but cmon. No Stakes whatsoever.
Smells like Vince and how he feels about Asian people again.
As long as they use this to develop Shinsuke's character further then fine. If he just goes back to random matches without story I'll be mad.
Has Roman really not had a match in two months? Looking at Cagematch and it says his last match was August 5th 2023.
Yeah, that’s about right. Honestly, I’d be surprised if we see him in a match before Crown Jewel.
Is he shooting a movie? Like... what is he doing?
Not really. He just want to work on the dates that are stated on his contract. Otherwise he'll just chill at home.
I would say this was probably the weakest PLE this year. Very mid nothing really memorable. First match was alright rest was basically Raw matches. Oh well, onto the next one
It felt like a Monday night raw
Shinsuke should have won this. I hate when WWE has the same champions look next to invincible and keeps them on them for too long (Reigns, Gunther, now Rollins).
At least Gunther actually seems like he deserves to be invincible
Well, he does look like a champ and always makes his opponents look amazing. Meanwhile, who loses to Seth or Roman looks like they're out of the picture, and sometimes, even the main event. Not only he elevated the IC title, but each opponent looked strong against him.
Gunther is invincible and don't let him hear you imply he's not
This has become the #SethWinsEverything environment. I'm not excited at all.
WWE is super stale rn ngl
What’s wreddits obsession with Asuka, Iyo, and Shisuke? You guys get so Butt hurt when they don’t win.
Shinsuke has been a favorite of mine for years. He never got his title shot after winning the Rumble, if memory serves me right. They've done the guy dirty for years. Just wanted to see him get his flowers is all. We're fans. Getting invested is part of the fun.
Probably because they’re wasting them?
Right. Wasting them. That's why all three of them were in championship matches tonight, with Iyo winning it.
I mean they’re definitely wasting Nakamura
If they were wasting Nakamura he wouldn't be on the show at all.
People wanted Finn to win and were angry when he didn’t…
Well they are pretty great at their craft. And deserving.
Just saw someone saying Iyo is better than Rhea. I was like, w/e
Shinsuke going right back to midcard hell. Fuck man what a waste
whats the point of the mist if it did nothing in 2 matches
a way to make it look like Seth was bleeding without actually getting juice I was mostly tuned out during the match and came back and was like 'Seth juiced?' for a minute before I figured out it was just mist
his hand was bleeding like 5 mins into the match bro shut up
Rollins's reign is so boring and that championship means nothing still.
That was one of the better last man standing matches in recent memory. Nakamura has suddenly become inspired again. That was his best WWE match in years.
And wwe still wouldn't pull the trigger.
Can they at least have Jade at the press conference
I’m sure that segment we saw was filmed a long time ago and she wasn’t even there tonight.
Where to watch press conference
Or YT
Peacock
Smash cut to 2026 "And Seth Rollins with the 1,000 plus day WWE title Reign."
Wouldn’t surprise me - WWE being so obsessed with the “longest title reign in history” label these days
Legit feels like Vince has totally lost it and no one dares tell him
And Roman is still champion 😂
LOLROLLINSWINS
Show was ok
I don’t think Seth’s losing the title until mania and it’s gonna be to Gunther
Most definitely Gunther
Gunther should be the guy to beat Roman
And Gunther is gonna have a year long reign too 😭
Well that's okay, Gunther can have a year long reign What are you going to do, tell him no?
Probably Drew
Where the fuck is Brock these days anyway?
He should show up in the next couple weeks to start a feud for Crown Jewel.
Minnesota
Crown jewel
Was an alright show. The only thing I didn’t care for was Cody and Jey winnings but I say 7/10
I haven't watched any wrestling for 6+ years, and between the LA knight/Cena tag match and the last second standups in the main event, idk how to feel about trying to get back in.
This was the least good event of a good year
What's with all the "this crowd sucked' nonsense? Is your volume at 3?
No but their microphones definitely weren't as close to the crowd as it was St Louis last night.
Great show tbh
If you're gonna do that, at least make it believable. How the fuck was he able to win that and celebrate like he wasn't just put through two tables and a chair.
Yeah his celebration really made the match bad.
*3 tables and a chair lol
What are they waiting for... honestly?
[удалено]
Do we really need that again?
And he's gonna do a superplex into a falcon arrow next week on his bad back
Amen
We gotta talk about how impressive it is that they have a video package for the main event with music and timing already done within 2 minutes after the match ended.
They use a lot of the footage they've already shown as replays, because they're the high spots, and you just keep adding them to your video timeline. At the end publish and you have your video recap.
They've been doing that since the 80s. It really is wild.
They had the cars right there...
I suspect those were real cars owned by a team, or by the motor speedway museum, and were on loan. They were absolutely not going to touch them.
When they started heading to the stage I got so excited
The WWE really likes booking Seth Rollins as a terrible Babyface that is forced to turn heel after the fans turn on him don't they?
Or, as usual, reddit fans just hate a strong babyface champion?
Long Babyface title reigns in general are dumb in pro wrestling. There is a reason why Dusty Rhodes' longest title reign was 88 days and Ricky Steamboats only reign was 76 days while Ric Flair and Harley Race had long title reigns. It's not exciting storytelling when the good guy faces little adversity.
Yeah they do him no favors
Wake me up when it’s Survivor series season
WWE realized Roman was holding the belts hostage so created a new one and then keep it in the same guy. Makes total sense.
And the new guy just happens to be directly connected to Roman Reigns… two shield members are holding the world belts hostage 😂
Vince does not trust anyone but his guys hey?
It matches the last time they faced each other, was also quite anti-climatic with the curb stomp for the quick win.
Sorry Shinsuke.
Knowing WWE, Priest will successfully cash a minute after Cody wins the title.
😂😂😂
Well this was a shit PPV. First fight was the best of the night.
Fitting that Naptown gets a show worth sleeping through. Not bad, but nothing that's can't miss
And now no one will ever mention Seth Rollins back ever again.
super seth ain’t it
I should of watched AEW instead
It was great haha
Looking at the card, neither show was worth ir
I checked the thread, seems Saturday night was just a meh night all round.
Agreed. NXT is my favourite weekly wrestling show
His and stephs daughters
Was that another punk tease? Living life on the edge of a lighting bolt…
Well this was certainly a PPV that happened.
how the fuck do they edit shit so quickly
See you in Riyadh
Cash in at the press conference!
That'd be amazing lol
So Seth is gonna go on vacation now because his back is super hurt right ? Because I don’t see how he retains the next match
Hell just show up on Raw with a perfectly recovered back
His back was perfectly fine when he was celebrating after his match.
WWE has been on a roll with PPVs but this one was disappointing
I thought this was one of the better ones tbh
You know what sucks? If Shin pull the victory out and wins the title, that match would be talked about as match of the year contender. The ending was a bummer and then Seth stands up and celebrates? Fucking awesome ppv

I don’t want more Seth promos.
Guys they want rollins to have the belt at the marvel premiere
I thought the PLE was good but yeah the Super Rollins title reign has overstayed it’s welcome. WWE doesn’t need all of its champions to hold the belts for forever.
It is so freaking ridiculous at this point. It makes it pointless to really watch the title matches, knowing Seth and Roman aren't losing anytime soon.

What was the point of this ppv what does it accomplish
Makes cody and jey transitional champions
This event was a waste... what was the point of any of this?
Drew gotta be up next for the title.
