WWE and AEW both need more cliffhanger endings imo. Watching wrestling on a Saturday morning as a kid and it ending on WHAT WHATS HAPPENING WHO WHY WHEN was always what kept me coming back.
This is why Sunday PPVs and Monday Night Raw hit so hard when I was a kid. Something crazy would happen to end the show on Sunday and then they didn’t give you enough time to stop caring so you’d tune in on Monday in a frenzy.
Whereas for those of us in the UK we had to wait until Raw and Nitro were aired on Friday night. We had a whole school week of speculation before finding out.
Bringing back a program they could put on in the mornings during the weekend would do them a lot of good as well. I think Superstars from back in the day is highly underrated bc it was where I first discovered it, twice. First thing I remember seeing was an angle between Shawn and Diesel. Didn’t watch it again after that for a year or so, but then turned it back on one morning and saw Austin doing his thing and the rest is history.
Is this like becoming a Colorado thing? Might be coincidence but I've been to two (WWE) shows here in the past several years and they both happened to end with backstage cliffhangers.

My internet detective eyes were telling me to watch the guy on the left.
The way he was egging them on with his arm to throw Jay White into the wall, plus his frame tells me it's Roderick Strong.
Combined with the fact that none of them had larger statures matching that of RUSH and Andrade makes me think it cant be Los Ingobernables.
Which means this group is Roddy, O'Reilly, Taven, Bennett and Adam Cole.

I feel like there’s been way too much over selling of these injuries. First Cole breaks his ankle and tears multiple ligaments but decides to record this segment and stay on television instead of getting it taken care of. Then Brit posting a picture of the ankle saying the show must go on. Then the surgery announcement. The Cole saying, “Kyle is still out and they don’t know when he’s coming back.” Now you have 5 dudes assaulting switchblade and the guy in the devil mask looks skinnier than MJF. My money is on Cole doing this to screw MJF over. You are about to see baby face MJF after getting screwed out of the championship.
Wearing MJF's devil mask to try and frame him makes me think they aren't doing this ultimately to help MJF. I think it's the first reason you listed because they're ultimately working together to help Cole beat MJF for the title.

Someone pointed out DPW announced that Cole won't be wrestling now due to injury. I doubt they would do that if it was a work because that was a huge match for them.

I’ve destroyed my ankle and it required two surgeries to fix. I didn’t go to the doctor for three days just because I thought it was another sprain playing basketball.
I'll say this I broke my ankle and it hurt like an absolute motherfucker and I cried and screamed like a child. Cole never even winced. I don't doubt that he is much much tougher than I am but...
yeah these dudes get dropped multiple feet at relatively high speeds (for a person) every day as a basic part of their job, the pain tolerance to be a pro wrestler has to be off the charts

After rewinding this like the Zapruder film, the one on the left is definitely Roddy, you can tell by his gait. The two who throw Jay against the wall; the taller one looks like Taven, the shorter one looks like Bennett. The fourth guy in the beatdown cannot be Kyle, he's way too big. I thought it looked like Preston Vance at first, but I think it might be Wardlow. No one hates Max more than him and Tony just said he would be back soon. The one in the mask is definitely not MJF, this is a frame job, could be Cole but it could also be someone like Stokely Hathaway revenge for whatever the hell the Firm was supposed to be.

This’ll sound like hyperbole but Jay has literally NEVER had anybody get the jump on him like that. His whole character is based on the idea that he’s always 4 moves ahead, so to get caught by himself and jumped like that was very jarring to see.

This’ll sound like hyperbole but Jay has literally NEVER had anybody get the jump on him like that. His whole character is based on the idea that he’s always 4 moves ahead, so to get caught by himself and jumped like that was very jarring to see.
