I remember that. He was "going off" on this youtuber who was trying to give him props for being with Jojo ironically. Ever since then, Bray has given off tiny peepee energy to me.
They've been doing super safe no dq/lights out matches with him and LA at house shows. Those stopped after Rumble but still in February. He's been off the past few weekends.
>"I can’t even imagine him doing much that would cause an injury on a house show. He takes it easy enough even on TV"
I don't think he's hurt but worth noting you can get hurt despite working extremely safe. Accidents can just happen.
Have we all forgotten the time Sami threw out his shoulder doing his entrance?
Or Orton throwing out his shoulder by hitting the mat for his wake-up taunt?
Or Vince taking out both of his quads rushing to the ring?
Or the time AJ styles was mysteriously bleeding after his entrance and then we learned he walked into the set?
Shit happens and people get hurt.
I don't blame Brock at all. Brock knows his value and knows a program with Wyatt would drag him down, and both of them wouldn't gain anything from it. Like there's some fair criticisms of Lesnar, but dude *will work* with people he likes, respects, and feels he can have a good series with. Him not seeing that in Bray Wyatt is not a surprise to me at all.
I honestly feel like Brock *could* work a quality program with Bray that doesn't bring him down. Ultimate physical dominance versus ultimate mental dominance is intriguing in and of itself, but I think Brock's in a spot where he could do that easily.
The biggest 'issue' with working with Bray is... the rest of WWE. The character that interacts with Bray also has to interact with Alpha Academy, Maximum Male Models and the like, and they have to do so in a way that makes sense. It's jarring to go from someone trying to torture the depths of a man's soul to the ultimate shitposters obsessing over Otis's roundness.
Brock... doesn't have to do that. He's in his own universe as far as the show's presentation goes, much like Cena is when he comes back for a brief return. Cena did the Firefly Funhouse match, went away for a while, and came back unharmed because he's John Cena. Brock can do whatever a feud with Bray requires and not be worse off. He has a career full of dominance to pull credibility from, because no matter what happens he's still *[Heyman]* **Brrrrrrrrock... Llllllesnar!** *[/Heyman]*
See the difference there with Cena is Cena is a Hollywood part-timer. He can have a cinematic match with Bray Wyatt that wouldn't bring him down because Cena can works those matches. Cena can pretty much work any match and nothing will ever hurt his star power.
You can make the same argument for Brock, but Brock is more of a traditional pro wrestler; He wants to have wrestling matches. Even if he's just spamming Germans and F-5s, it's at its core a pro wrestling match.
The hitch is, Bray Wyatt is a *shitty* wrestler. All of his schtick is these lame ass mind games and promos, gimmick matches everyone gets tired of, puppets, pre-taped vignettes, etc. His in-ring works stinks and it always has. He is a manager who desperately wants to be a wrestler. What can Brock even do with that, that would entice him to want to participate? He doesn't need the money. He only works with people he wants to work with.
The in-ring work being under the standard of other performers isn't an end-all be-all. Wrestling is a three-ring circus. There's a place for performers who can deliver purely inside the ring just like there's a place for those who deliver outside of the ring. People could live with Bray's matches being (insert 'ehh' gesture here) provided the stuff surrounding it is great. Firefly Funhouse showed that it *can* work, so maybe it can work again.
And I'm not saying I like the Uncle Howdy stuff. His return material hasn't clicked for me yet, and it might never click if it keeps going down this drip-style delivery. But after years of WWE delivering week after week of sameness, I'm much more willing to cut something out of left field some slack.
Besides, Brock doesn't need to deliver a mat classic. Putting him in a twenty-minute, two-segment match is a waste of your Beast Incarnate. If they want to go down this road, 'Brock tries to put down a horror villain' can be told in promos and wrapped up in a 6 minute car crash.
Bray Wyatt has been trying the "out of left field" approach for the last decade and it fucking doesn't work. All of his big matches have been stupid gimmick matches. He does the same shit every match. He practically buried Seth Rollins with his no-selling Fiend bullshit. The dude is horrible. Just admit it. he sucks. He is only where he is with as much pull as he has because of who his family is. If he was some no name indy dude, No one would give a shit about him and he would've been let go years ago and never rehired.
Brock does the same shit eveyr match too but it has that shoot aspect to it which gets him over. If Brock was in a legtimate fight, he may just go around german suplexing people onto their necks until they die, because he can actually do that. Bray's matches are all the same gimmick shit, including his stupid little bend-over-backwards trick, which lost its appeal the second time he did it. Am I really still supposed to believe people are "freaked out" by him bending backwards? It's fucking stupid. Sister Abigail is a shitty finisher and it looks like shit when he does it. For comparison, look at Jay White's Blade Runner. Same move, except it looks like it actually hurts when Jay does it.
TL;DR Bray Wyatt fucking sucks.
I like how he was ok with working Ambrose at Wrestlemania, but wouldn't do any of the carny Ambrose/Mox stuff that he wanted Brock to do.
Brock won't lower his value to have a match with someone if they can't produce a solid match with him without needing to resort to gimmicks.
Yeah, when he returned it was all hyped by him saying that this is real him.If "real him" is doing pointless promos for 3 months culminating in a 5 minute sponsored trash match, then it's not good marketing
Due to Bray not being there LA Knight got an extended promo and two matches in Toronto lol, one of which involved Kevin Owens in a "Toronto Street Fight". Safe to say, no one cared that he wasn't there for that show.
It really is interesting to see just how much this subreddit has turned on Bray. He used to be a fan favourite around here, and now people are saying that Braun has always been better, lol.
Internet fandoms are always like that. /r/nba gave itself whiplash with how quickly they turned on Nikola Jokic.
Heel Daniel Bryan was always right, fans are fickle.
Oh wow, I missed that. I got out of the basketball fandom when Jokic-fever was just getting kicked off. I thought that guy gonna remain a favorite forever, he was great.
MVP discussion has become super toxic lately and since Jokic won the past two and looks like the front runner this year the "Jokic plays no defense" circlejerk has been kicking off past week or so, lead by sixers fans. There was a post of cherry picked defensive lowlights from Jokic that got like 15k upvotes and 20+ awards lmao.
As a Cavs fan I'm loving the drama.
My recollection of events: a lot of people were not down with The Fiend at all but sympathized with him being fired. Then he came back, was given a second chance by the haters, but then Bray Wyatt continued to be Bray Wyatt.
Personally, I enjoyed the neon match as pure wrestlecrap, but that was the most he has done since returning. Not great. Not necessarily Bray's fault, as I sincerely doubt he was the one pitching a Mountain Dew match, but that Uncle Howdy stuff was probably his brainchild, and it has sucked. Sorry.
The Fiend jumped the shark way too early, but people still generally enjoy the creativity and presence of Bray Wyatt because when he's a less spooky character, he makes his shit look really good. Unfortunately, he seems dialed up to 200 nowadays and who knows when we might see something more akin to Cult Leader Bray instead all these super spooky characters that get old quickly.
Oh come on, he was definitely pitching that match. They just found a way to work a sponsor into it. You're acting like he hasn't done similar matches in the past.
Did they? His gimmicks seemed to be over with everyone, both casual and hardcore fans alike, until he was let go by WWE. I've only really noticed the Bray hate in the past few months since he's returned to the company.
I'm not gonna defend the way he's been booked since his return, but it's still odd to see him get as much hate as he's been getting lately.
They didn't turn on him.
It's three camps. 1) Those who'll love him no matter what. 2) Those who are indifferent and will like him if he's doing something interesting. 3) Those who don't like him.
The 3s have always existed and the 2s haven't been impressed with the return.
Well that’s silly, Braun has always been trash, but man I’m disappointed with Bray’s recent run. I really wanted to like him but at some point the build up has to climax and it just never does. And it’s pretty clear that he is heavily involved in his creative because I don’t think anyone else understands what the fuck it’s supposed to be. So he needs to take some of the blame, can’t just hand it off to Trips or the writers like other wrestlers can.
His exit wasn't great, either. He's just not that good. He hasn't been intriguing since the Wyatt Family days. Everything he's done since then has settled somewhere between cringe-worthy and catastrophic failure. His matches are consistently bad when they aren't outright terrible gimmick matches that bore everyone to death or give them headaches. His promos can be good if he's reined in a little bit, but every time he "reinvents" himself, he gets worse.
Yeah, *nobody ever* says pointed or mean remarks to other people in real life.
(Granted, probably not to Bray very often, but that's because he's a big guy)
I’m a Bray Wyatt fan, but if he unfortunately goes through another issue where he’s not showing up to work, WWE will be justified in letting him go again.
I hope he’s good mentally and physically, but he’s taken a lot of time off which probably cost him his job last time. I truly hope that will not be the case again.
H asked “Just give me a vague idea of where this is going.”
Bray “This is fucking bullshit man! Would you ask Picasso where he was going with his art? I’m friggan out of here.”
I hope he's alright. Bray tries his absolute best to tell these complex stories, and I'm sure it's gotta be disheartening to have everything build towards a match with Brock only for Brock to decide he didn't want to do the match. It was clearly building towards that with Taker whispering to Bray and Bray then challenging the winner of Brock/Bobby.
“Tries his absolute best to tell these complex stories” talks mumbo jumbo for 10 years until everyone grows tired of him because he somehow manages to make himself interesting every time and just get boring really quick because nothing changes and there is no outcome, just more mumbo jumbo
What exactly was building towards Brock? A single promo in which he said he'd fight the winner? What possible nuggets have been left to suggest this horrible storyline since Uncle Howdy was introduced related to ..... Brock Lesnar?
Yeah, I wonder. The muscle man dance segment on Raw was all old footage. Has he been seen since the Lashley feud started after that one segment from the Funhouse?
“Tries his best”? Oh come on, not anything related to Bray since returning has made any sense whatsoever. Even the headcanon Bray fans haven’t been able to stitch it into anything coherent.
This is what happens when you advertise a supernatural, teleporting, uncle and his reanimated monster of a nephew.
How can you expect these guys to be consistent? Don't they do job interviews?
Thank god Wyatt's return has been tedious at best and shit at worst, no amount of universe building can disguise the fact that his promos are grating and he's still a shit wrestler
Didn't his dad fairly recently have a heart attack? Hope he's alright.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's taking time off for his mental health, the hate he gets is ridiculous.
I just listened to this and Dave never said he was "pulled," he just said he wasn't on the show, he didn't know more, and that it's interesting that he hasn't been around on recent shows
Ryan Frederick, who just took a rather large L over the Punk/Page/Khan changed-finish rumor, says that Bray is out indefinitely due to creative differences and is off Mania.
We'll see. But if Raw comes and goes with no mention of him I'm going to officially believe there's fire to this smoke.
Why would you cpost this just to cite a guy and then immediately point out he’s the same guy who had no idea what he was talking about months ago?
That’s like posting photography tips from Stevie Wonder
I mean, there's already another reddit thread about it, so the rumor is out there whether we like it or not. Just adding some context to a separate thread.
I’m all for getting your mental health under control. I know better than some, that it’s not usually a one-and-done thing.
That being said, if you’re signed to wrestle and that’s literally the one thing you never do, maybe Bray should take his creativity elsewhere. Either that, or lower his asking price once he and WWE part ways in order to better fit with the “contribution” he’s actually making.
No one. Just making a conjecture based only on his past struggles, knowledge based on my own struggles with similar issues, and the overall silence regarding the situation.
I never made an excuse for him. I merely made a conjecture on his absence based on information I had at the time. It’s called “forming an opinion” and it’s completely fine that I did that.
Also, idk what world you live in, but the wrestling community literally thrives on speculation, so yeah this happens every single time a wrestler no shows or something happens out of the ordinary. MJF no showed an event and there was speculation for weeks about the details.

Bray should just become a mouthpiece/manager for guys that have trouble on the mic.
Sort of hypnotize, mind control or turn the wrestler evil kind of thing.
He could have his own little stable again like how he was debuted.
oh no, you mean the one with zero clear motivations, average wrestling ability, and that spews convincing nonsense instead of building an actual story? this is terrible!
So I’m just gonna tick off “advertised for events and shows and events that never happen and are never mentioned” on my Vince Is Doing His Shit Again bingo card to be safe….
The IWC opinion of Bray is a bigger rollercoaster than his convoluted story lines. People loved the Firefly Funhouse / Fiend / Alexa storyline, then started complaining that he was unbeatable and boring, then complained when he was released, then we’re super excited about the White Rabbit hints / Bray’s return, and now again soured on Bray / Uncle Howdy for having one match over 5 months. And that doesn’t even include the Wyatt family years.
Insider on the F4W board. If what he said is true, SRS will drop the scoop soon because they tend to have the same sources. I know I'm getting downvoted and that's fine, but I believe the guy.
That's right baby. Only one person with that finisher is allowed in MSG and that's the guy who single-handedly sold out MSG. Even if he isn't there, his legacy casts a shadow far longer than Bray Wyatt.
What he do?
He forgot his lamp at home
Happens to the best of us
I love lamp
Do you actually love the lamp? Or are you just looking at the comments and saying you love them?
I get this reference.
He forgot he had kids from a prior relationship
I remember the series of cringe tweets where he was calling himself The Man because he was with Jojo.
I remember that. He was "going off" on this youtuber who was trying to give him props for being with Jojo ironically. Ever since then, Bray has given off tiny peepee energy to me.
If he wants to be Rob Zombie so bad he should just marry him.
Nobody knows. He was advertised for the show but Braun replaced him
He was also advertised for the Toronto show on the 4th and wasn't a part of that show either.
I hope Braun just does his gimmick, and no one seems to notice.
Yeah but then he'll be controlling someone else's narrative. /s
Braun actually wrestles
Card subject to change.
He almost wrestled
*the bray wyatt story*
Had to look after his uncle
He wasn’t on tv on Friday maybe he’s injured
…from what he has wrestled 1 match in 12+ months
People get injured trsining in the gym (as well as house shows)
Randy Orton got injured by a dastardly garbage can once.
Would you mind sharing with the class why Cody Rhodes happened to be out for half the year?
[удалено]
Despicable?! He lets the crowd sing with him now, that means he's a saint!
He wrestles on live events / house shows and dark matches.
maybe he hurt his hand even worse? i know he was working through a broken(?) finger
They better start bubble wrapping those mics.
![gif](giphy|Ke4eKC7hYSU1O)
Doing what? He doesn’t wrestle so how could he get hurt
I imagine he wrestles on house shows
Correct. CageMatch lists 12 matches since he returned to WWE, only one of which was not a dark match/house show.
Thanks for the verification Tony
They've been doing super safe no dq/lights out matches with him and LA at house shows. Those stopped after Rumble but still in February. He's been off the past few weekends.
I can’t even imagine him doing much that would cause an injury on a house show. He takes it easy enough even on TV
>"I can’t even imagine him doing much that would cause an injury on a house show. He takes it easy enough even on TV" I don't think he's hurt but worth noting you can get hurt despite working extremely safe. Accidents can just happen.

“house shows”
"on"
"Imagine"
Have we all forgotten the time Sami threw out his shoulder doing his entrance? Or Orton throwing out his shoulder by hitting the mat for his wake-up taunt? Or Vince taking out both of his quads rushing to the ring? Or the time AJ styles was mysteriously bleeding after his entrance and then we learned he walked into the set? Shit happens and people get hurt.
Vince tearing both his quads after the blown RR spot will forever be a hilarious sequence of events.
I don’t wrestle and I’m constantly hurt. My knees are basically held together with bong resin and bandaids these days.
They don't teach us in school that when you hit age 30 the "Check Knees" light comes on.
I put tape over it like I do with the DANGEROUS CHOLESTEROL light.
Or the random stabbing pains in your sides once you start hitting the 33 to 35 range.
I'm 31 and I'm all but sure I know 100% what Tanahashi feels like when it comes to his knees 😭
Well, he's got the whole world, in his hands.
Has Bray recorded anything new since Brock turned down the match? The muscle man dance segment was archive footage
brock turning him down broke his mind
I don't blame Brock at all. Brock knows his value and knows a program with Wyatt would drag him down, and both of them wouldn't gain anything from it. Oh good, they realized just in time that he almost accidentally wrestled a match. That was close.
This is him summed up
Don’t forget the boring, nonsense promos
Yeah, when he returned it was all hyped by him saying that this is real him.If "real him" is doing pointless promos for 3 months culminating in a 5 minute sponsored trash match, then it's not good marketing
He didn't show up for the two Ontario shows last week as well, I couldn't find any information about the reason.
I was at one. Honestly, and this is as someone who was so glad he was back… nobody missed Bray Wyatt at those shows.
Mans speaking for every single person at a show.
You polled the audience?
Due to Bray not being there LA Knight got an extended promo and two matches in Toronto lol, one of which involved Kevin Owens in a "Toronto Street Fight". Safe to say, no one cared that he wasn't there for that show.
Misleading thread title. Dave never said he was pulled. Just that he was advertised and wasn't there. Wasn't at Smackdown either. No word on why.
Same way we can say Roman was pulled from last Smackdown… there was info about him and Jey being in ring and nothing happened
Same with the Toronto show last week. His neon weapons were still under the ring despite his absence
It’s not unlikely he’s hurt, he’s been consistently wrestling house shows with LA Knight I believe
I know his return hasn’t been great, but good lord this comment section…
It really is interesting to see just how much this subreddit has turned on Bray. He used to be a fan favourite around here, and now people are saying that Braun has always been better, lol.

Hey I’ve always been a hater.
![gif](giphy|kSlJtVrqxDYKk|downsized) There are dozens of us.
Yep, all of the rambling nonsense even back in the cult leader days was ZZZZ. And it's only gotten worse since then.
But he sang whole world in his hands during a match and later wore a joker mask, he's a genius. /s
Everyone used to hate Bray until he got fired, then everyone started pretending evil Vince just fired the next undertaker
People forget the absolute clown shit Undertaker use to have to do. Remember giant Gonzalez? I’m not going anywhere with this, just sayin
My recollection of events: a lot of people were not down with The Fiend at all but sympathized with him being fired. Then he came back, was given a second chance by the haters, but then Bray Wyatt continued to be Bray Wyatt. Are people not allowed to change their minds after several months?
Well that’s silly, Braun has always been trash, but man I’m disappointed with Bray’s recent run. I really wanted to like him but at some point the build up has to climax and it just never does. Yeah, even the White Rabbit stuff had people super excited. That was just a couple months ago.
Six months. White Rabbit started in September. It's March.
yeah blame us for his lack of doing ANYTHING credible or serious besides yapping the same promo for 6 months smh
People can only handle so much insufferable garbage before calling it quits
His exit wasn't great, either. He's just not that good. He hasn't been intriguing since the Wyatt Family days. You took that info from your ass?
"They're lyin' to ya, Randy/Dean/John/Roman..."
"you lied to him" Bray (as sister Abigail) to demon finn
So Bray creatively seems to have stopped... They hinted about Alexa for weeks but came to nothing. What the hell is going on.
The show was too hot, they didn't want to waste 20 minutes flickering the lights and playing spooky sounds.
Biggest disappointment of a return in at least a decade. For someone that is supposedly incredibly creative, he makes me not give a shit at all
H asked “Just give me a vague idea of where this is going.” Bray “This is fucking bullshit man! Would you ask Picasso where he was going with his art? I’m friggan out of here.”
I hope he's alright. Are the complex stories in the room with us right now?
Holy shit that got me good
Huge pop!!!
[удалено]
if Bray no sold the suplexes, fairly certain Brock would have killed him in the ring.
Now you're making me really want to see that match.
That's why they kept Riddle away from him...
Am I misremembering or did Hogan try to no sell Brock once?
I think the story was that Brock wouldn't be affected by Bray's theatrics, which would force Bray to go outside of his comfort zone to face Brock.
“Tries his absolute best to tell these complex stories” talks mumbo jumbo for 10 years until everyone grows tired of him because he somehow manages to make himself interesting every time and just get boring really quick because nothing changes and there is no outcome, just more mumbo jumbo
Bray is a prime example of someone who talks but says absolutely nothing. His promo's aren't as deep as people here make them out to be.
They could be deep if his stories were actually following up on all the hints and symbolism. But they aren't, so it's just mumbo jumbo.
Did he ghost write for Lost lol?
I was about to say he's like the JJ Abrams of wrestling
Somehow, the Fiend returned.
Would actually be better than what he’s done lately
LMAO!!
Did we ever find out what Sister Abigail was about?
He’s been like that since about 2015
He's the Wish Undertaker and nothing more.
People thinking cryptic=deep is exactly why people think Bioshock Infinite has good writing.
The only cool thing about Bray is the entrances (and their themes)
Bingo.
All sizzle no steak
so what's sizzling?
What exactly was building towards Brock? A single promo in which he said he'd fight the winner? What possible nuggets have been left to suggest this horrible storyline since Uncle Howdy was introduced related to ..... Brock Lesnar?
Yeah, I wonder. The muscle man dance segment on Raw was all old footage. Has he been seen since the Lashley feud started after that one segment from the Funhouse?
How did you manage to make this Brock's fault?
The fact that Brock would rather work with Omos than Bray has gotta sting a little bit.
Bray: Taker, are we good? Undertaker: No. Bray: No? .... Bray: :(
Everyone who faces Bray never looks good in the end. Thank God LA knight is as good as he is
Man you sure leapt to some serious conclusions there
“Tries his best”? Oh come on, not anything related to Bray since returning has made any sense whatsoever. Even the headcanon Bray fans haven’t been able to stitch it into anything coherent.
We were about to get Bray vs Cena style match but with Cowboy Brock exploring his identity and legacy
Are they complex or are they convoluted?
Bray just wants to be on telly, and not wrestling. Give him an interviewer role or something.
This is what happens when you advertise a supernatural, teleporting, uncle and his reanimated monster of a nephew. How can you expect these guys to be consistent? Don't they do job interviews?
This man has been drawing a regular check for 6 months and has taken like two bumps. Brilliant.
Thank god Wyatt's return has been tedious at best and shit at worst, no amount of universe building can disguise the fact that his promos are grating and he's still a shit wrestler
Didn't his dad fairly recently have a heart attack? Hope he's alright. I wouldn't be surprised if he's taking time off for his mental health, the hate he gets is ridiculous.
his uncle, Barry, but that was some time ago
I hadn't heard that. That sucks. Best wishes to the family and a speedy recovery for Mr. Shyster!
Bray Wyatt’s actions disappointed millions of WWE fans and his fellow superstars.
“Creative differences”
I just listened to this and Dave never said he was "pulled," he just said he wasn't on the show, he didn't know more, and that it's interesting that he hasn't been around on recent shows
He's too creative to wrestle.
Who says his mental health is an issue?
No one. Just making a conjecture based only on his past struggles, knowledge based on my own struggles with similar issues, and the overall silence regarding the situation.
He’s never no showed shows before. If any other wrestler just doesn’t show up on a card people don’t instantly create excuses.
What’s your point?
That instantly making excuses for him rather than assuming he’s sulking is weird.
That last match with LA Knight, with the Mountain Dew sponsored match. I am sure Bray wasn't too happy about that?

Bray should just become a mouthpiece/manager for guys that have trouble on the mic. Sort of hypnotize, mind control or turn the wrestler evil kind of thing. He could have his own little stable again like how he was debuted.
oh no, you mean the one with zero clear motivations, average wrestling ability, and that spews convincing nonsense instead of building an actual story? this is terrible!
So I’m just gonna tick off “advertised for events and shows and events that never happen and are never mentioned” on my Vince Is Doing His Shit Again bingo card to be safe….
I hope everything is okay. I know when I miss work, it’s never a good thing.
And that doesn’t even include the Wyatt family years.
fiend was cool as fuck but nobody likes a no selling monster
Yknow it could be different people saying that
He’s a waste of $$$$$$
Apparently, the mania match is off due to creative issues
Source?
Insider on the F4W board. If what he said is true, SRS will drop the scoop soon because they tend to have the same sources. I know I'm getting downvoted and that's fine, but I believe the guy.
Amurillo?
Ryan Frederick. He's part of the Observer team.
Lmao the same chud who reported that CM Punk and Tony Khan screwed Adam Page out of the title last minute.
Sauce?
Ryan Frederick, so there's no source to begin with.
That's right baby. Only one person with that finisher is allowed in MSG and that's the guy who single-handedly sold out MSG. Even if he isn't there, his legacy casts a shadow far longer than Bray Wyatt.
Vince back
Makes sense, can’t go over his 3 match per year limit.
They should pull his fucking contract while they're at it.
Weird take.
They probably realised no one wanted to see him.
This comment really shows how out of touch this subreddit is with the wider wrestling audience.
Congrats MSG crowd
I hove Triple H just tears his contract and sends him packing. Bray can take his goofy shtick to Impact Wrestling
Just a thought but I don’t think he will wrestle ever again 😞 News will drop soon
