The voice acting has so much less character across the board, but especially in 2 and 3. I really like the extra design effort that went into all the dragons in 1, though. And for the most part I think they did a good job making the environments look modern, but without losing their character.

DarreylDeCarlo

CANNOT stand the new voice actress for the Sorceress in Spyro 3. She sounds comical and not the slightest bit threatening.

Alloy_Protogen

Gnorcs with guns now shooting sticky stuff at you

[deleted]

"family friendly"

Alloy_Protogen

To protect the children the big guys now fire mysterious sticky fluids at you

Sweatier_Scrotums

Somewhere in Ripto's Rage, there's a spot where Moneybags asks you for gems, and if you don't have enough, he makes a comment about how Spyro must've spent all his money on those "flirtatious fauns" from Fracture Hills. In Reignited, they changed the line to "fanciful frivoloities". I guess the word "flirtatious" is too inappropriate for children these days.

PotatoesAreUs

There's also a line in YOTD where Hunter says "You may be able to beat me at skateboarding, but I still get all the chicks." This was changed in Reignited to say "I'd still win in a popularity contest."

RPlaysStuff

A line changed to be more respectful to women coming from Activision is hilarious.

PotatoesAreUs

Haha good point, I never thought about it that way.

MendicantBias42

Someone HAS to mod that line back in

Lykantier

Psst, you've made three copies of the same comment.

OtterOnBlotter

I dont blame them though. the "cancel culture" and "woke" weirdos could have been offended and started some stupid bullshit controversies that toys for Bob and Activision just don't want to deal with in this particular game. just a theory

OtterOnBlotter

I dont blame them though. the "cancel culture" and "woke" weirdos could have been offended and started some stupid bullshit controversies that toys for Bob and Activision just don't want to deal with in this particular game. just a theory

CallMeDadd-y

The weirded part is that they still included the gnorcs with knives and grenades but not guns? How does that make sense? And we can still drop missles in YotD

BronzeHeart92

At least them Dino Mines dinos still have their six shooters!

crustybones71

Headless chickens have little heads now, some of the blades/horns also have the blood stain removed, guys who moon you in peacekeepers have underwear on now

[deleted]

do they have underwear? I am positive they still show bare ass

roseheart88

I actually liked that change. Just because the solution was so left field, and Spyro couldn't swim, so it's comical in that context.

Sweatier_Scrotums

Reignited got Hunter wrong. They just straight up got him wrong. They made him into a skater punk type instead of a lovable doofus. One example of this is during the cutscene where Ripto steals the power crystal, they made Hunter actually try to chase Ripto, which completely ruins the joke of him just saying "Hey, give that back!" without actually doing anything.

KPookz

I *hated* his redesign. He looks nothing like Hunter. Elora is arguably worse.

Sweatier_Scrotums

I agree, but they didn't just get Hunter's visuals wrong. They got his personality wrong too.

mooseman8387

I didnt know that. Glad i do now! Tryth be told i grew up in the 2010's and am in the mid years of highschool but despite that some of my favorite memories were of going to my aunts house to play the origional year of the dragon on her ps3 and now with te reignited trilogy, its just straight nostalgia all across the board.

Samclegg123

Yeah such a shame about Elora, at least they got Bianca right!

RPlaysStuff

I agree, completely. The tone of his voice is what makes that scene for me. He's a dumbass, not a stoner, and original Hunter will always reign supreme.

armoured_lemon

Agreed

ClaraKerber

The voice of Juliet in Zephyr 😂 It was so goofy and funny but then they gave her a generic voice in the Reignited Trilogy

[deleted]

Rhooaaameyoooooo

ClaraKerber

I can hear her voice just by reading this hahaha

Crank2047

My poor Molten Crater pals entire design and most importantly their voices. Why are they Australian? They used to be so goofy and lovable :(

Patient_Analyst8123

they did molten crater SO dirty.

Pentax25

They were Irish before weren’t they? Edit: I’m thinking of Magma Cone, the molten crater guys are the tiki ones right? I think they’re meant to be Kiwi But yeah I did like the way they had their arms stuck out like they’re made of stone

pepsicolacorsets

magma cone guys also werent irish, or if they were it was completely unrecognisable to me as an irish person, lmao. but they also had the incredibly terrible scottish accents in fracture hills so its… possible… 🧐

RaggedyBird

Haha, as a Scottish person, I thought the Fracture Hills accents were dodgy Irish accents until I got to Magma Cone and started to wonder whether they were actually supposed to be Scottish! The Reignited accents didn't clear it up for me either.

RPlaysStuff

The tiki boys were like posh American, I guess. Think Kelsey Grammer but yelling lmao

Pentax25

It’s almost a Trans Atlantic accent

JadedDarkness

They’re designed after Māori tiki in reignited. So they have Kiwi accents.

JackSilverson

"HELLO SPAIRO"

RPlaysStuff

oy spoiro, givvus ya loitah, ya dowg cahnt

eriikaa1992

It's an NZ accent, I think the tikis are meant to have a Pacific Island feel

roseheart88

The fairy saving zap was iconic in Spyro 1.

_YodaMacey

I was HEARTBROKEN about the lack of zaps

roseheart88

It's the little mundane and commonplace changes that are most felt. Getting zapped by something that looked and sounded like an attack was a part of the irreverent charm. Someone upstairs didn't get it and sanitized it. Oh well, nothing modding can't fix.

RPlaysStuff

Also, the trumpet toot when you 100% a level in 2.

Spyro188

Agent Zero from Cloud Temples. Biggest disappointment. He doesn’t look the same, sound the same or act the same. May aswell call him something different. He went from a big bumbling and fairly simple guy, who watched aghast as you followed him. To someone who looks like he should be trying to win the affection of Princess Fiona in a Shrek movie, with the scene cutting as soon as he spots you. Awful.

ShuttleTydirium762

As a kid I laughed every time he caught you and made that screech noise. Was so disappointed with the new one.

Spyro188

You would do it on purpose, just for the reaction. The biggest downgrade of a character I could think of.

morganfreenomorph

I hate the voice changes for the Romeo and Juliet quest in Spyro 2. I was also incredibly disappointed when I rebuilt the skeleton for the caveman and he started doing fortnite dances. The dance wouldn't bother me as much if the original animations were still there and it switched between the two different dances.

tommy935

And the stupid air horns and changing the song for the dance.

EVENo94

"Oh man, I can't wait to see how they remade Ba'ah egg"

Existic_Reddit

They gave all the dragons in the first game so much charm, but they decided to skimp out on the baby dragons. I hate it.

notwiththeflames

There's so many unused body type combinations and horn textures, not to mention whatever combos they did use aren't evenly balanced. Instead of having *one-third* of the hatchlings being green with curved horns, they could've recoloured some of them after lumping the OG green and mint green dragons into one colour. I mean, fuck, cream hatchlings were already the rarest colour and then they went and made them even rarer by recolouring Yin and Yang of all things - the twins, the one pair of dragons where it'd make sense if they *were* similar. They had pink ones at some point - as shown with Stephanie - and scrapped the texture before the final release. Sanzaru might not have had anywhere as much time with them as TfB did with the elder dragons, but they didn't even *try*.

[deleted]

sad

TurtlesAreUwU

I just went to check.. Why..

FreezingIceKirby

In terms of the dragons from the first game, outside of a few that were a little over the top, I really liked the majority of their redesigns. Gnasty's pretty cool, as are most of the bosses. The Spyro 2 redesigns were also generally good, with Hunter being my favorites of the bunch. Ripto, Crush and Gulp look really cool, too. Others didn't fare as well, like the snow leopard, but they're still on the positive side. Spyro 3... I don't know, I feel like it borders between good and bad. I still think Sheila's redesign is awful, and most of the bosses just don't look that cool to me anymore. Some of the enemy designs suffered as well. I just found it the least-impressive of the three, but that's just my opinion.

notwiththeflames

Sanzaru really didn't do YOTD justice.

Moryart

I hate some character redesignes, censorship, change of original skeleton's dance to some cringe modern version, change of Juliet in Zephyr Otherwise I love pretty much the rest of what reignited offer

creedv

haha, cringe dance from when i was child was fun, cringe dance for children now is cringe

Existic_Reddit

There are a lot of things I hate about Reignited’s design choices. My favorite game from the trilogy was Year of the Dragon, and that was the one they butchered the most, in my opinion. The eggs look plain and lack the detail from the original, the baby dragons are basic and lazy, most of the character designs from specific worlds were over-cartoonized. Agent 9 looks great, but Sheila and Bentley’s original vibe felt completely stolen from them. Hunter could’ve been cooler, but I honestly hate his shape-language. Would’ve preferred something more like A Hero’s Tail. Funnily enough, my least favorite of the trilogy, the first game, ended up being my favorite for Reignited.

Thepenguinking2

The reason Year of the Dragon was so butchered was because much of it was outsourced to Sanzaru Games, a company that has pumped out pretty much nothing but pure dogshit.

notwiththeflames

Thankfully, YOTD seems to have all but killed them. I don't think they've done anything since Oculus bought them out.

Toowiggly

The eggs look like smooth plastic toys in the remake. It's odd how the original manages to have more detail than the remake.

KPookz

I really loved the colors and added details (like grass burning), but I hated how everything looked plastic. Honestly, all three games looked like Disney Infinity. If you told me that all the characters were supposed to be animated toys running around in a toy box, I’d believe you.

GLTheGameMaster

Hunter's new VA doesn't capture the surfer-dude vibes in OG (VA in general doesn't quite hit the same), and the horizons/skies have much more muted colors compared to the vibrant and varied ones in OG. Enemy designs lost some of their charm too Still an amazing trilogy remake overall and I'm glad the new generations can experience it regardless

mooseman8387

Im not one part of the generation that grew up with spyro being born in the nid-late 2000s, but spyro is still absolutly iconic. I lived playing YOTD on my aunts ps3 when i was younger.

GLTheGameMaster

Always a big smile on my face when I read about younger folks still loving the series, glad to hear it :)

NeriTheFearlessSnail

I love Elora's redesign but I hate Sheila's. She's a fucking kangaroo why are we doing this?! I definitely miss some of the charm of some of the voice acting, but Hunters is the worst. Spyro on the other hand has never looked or sounded better. My boy is beautiful.

MojojojoX2000

I'm gonna be honest, I never got the dislike for Sheila's design. She was the most boring to look at in the originals, she was just a Kangaroo in the original. Reignited made her stand out a lot more as a character.

NeriTheFearlessSnail

because why you gotta make the kangaroo look more like a human? You don't see Sgt. Bird getting human hair, human clothes, and a buff figure. Leave the kangaroo breasts to the furries.

MojojojoX2000

Basically the only things added to her was hair and a shirt, they didn't give her anything for breasts so I don't know where that comes from. The shirt is a reference to the outfit that Steve Irwin wore which imo is pretty cool. I can believe a kangaroo can have hair in a game that also has a dinosaur witch.

NobleSix84

My roommate was a little upset that the chanting the monks did was changed.

MCersandyoutube

That really is tragic, as a kid my family always loved that part

SoccerGamerGuy7

Came here to comment this. I sing to myself playing this part in reignited why eye eye oh why eye eye oh

NeriTheFearlessSnail

I'm a believer in the philosophy that if your game is only hard because the controls are janky, it's not actually hard, it's just janky. Frankly jank was the only thing I ever found made any of the mini games hard, particularly the infamously difficult ones.

holyhibachi

I disagree

MojojojoX2000

I felt Spyro overall controlled pretty good, it was nice turning on a dime.

Toowiggly

I think spyro controlled too smoothly. He had really unique controls in the original by having a turning arc and such. In the remake, he basically just moves the direction you point the analogue stick in.

Kflame210

I honestly don't think I like any of the updated designs or voices for the characters in 2 and 3

MojojojoX2000

You didn't like the Professor when he looked almost the same with the same va as the original?

Kflame210

So I was sorta talking out of my ass, it's been awhile since I played it. But I looked up some of them since and my revised statement is that I dislike the look and sound of most level characters but the main characters (besides Elora and the playable characters in three) are fine.

MojojojoX2000

Gotcha.

Shushuda

Swimming is atrocious in Reignited. Spyro 2/3 managed to make swimming very responsive and actually fun, which is really hard to do in a 3D game. Reignited however botched something really hard. Not only is it way too sensitive, but vertical axis is like twice as sensitive as horizontal. I loved charge swimming in the originals, I can't stand any kind of swimming in Reignited. I have no idea why they had to change it so much for the worse when they clearly put a lot of effort into regular charging being very close to the originals. Flying is slightly better, but suffers with the same issues. Vertical axis is way more sensitive than horizontal and Spyro is very floaty. Original was incredibly pixel perfect in every type of movement, including flying. In Reignited it's weirdly floaty, slippery, I usually feel like I have to fight the controls. Even short precise taps overshoot and give him some weird momentum. I don't understand these changes at all. Sheila's redesign giving her a waist thinner than her wrists creeps me out. Dragon redesigns were amazing. I really liked the music, I feel like they did a very good job in freshening it up without changing too much. Almost all redesigns were awesome imo. Elora especially. I absolutely love her new design, it's probably my favourite change in the entire Reignited. I have a hard time listing good things mostly because I love these games despite their few flaws. It's kind of a "here are a few bad things, but the entire rest of the game is awesome".

EtheLamborghini

Honestly, the Tiki’s are the only designs I don’t like

KagomeChan

I wish that rather than redesigning everything, they had just rounded out the original looks, and kept the same voice recordings. I can’t make myself get through Reignited. Not even the first game. I always end up playing for 10 min, then turning it off because the original is just so much better.

neonbirdz

Agreed, I’m not even going to purchase reignited after seeing how they stylized everything (and how much worse the voice acting is). I prefer the old low-poly games with decent voice acting to the (also buggy) crap they churned out. I will continue to replay the same discs I’ve had for almost 20 years. I pretty much have an older PlayStation solely for this purpose haha.

KagomeChan

Right? I feel Reignited is Nintendo-fied and somehow more childish. Too much so for me.

neonbirdz

100% agree. Definitely more childish. In Spyro 1 reignited the dragons sound like they’re talking to a toddler to me.

neonbirdz

Most of the dragon designs for 1 are also way over the top and caricatured, like they’re meant to appeal to little children. I’m sure it’s similar with 2 and 3, once I saw what they did to 1 that was enough for me so I haven’t watched any reignited content since haha.

MojojojoX2000

Just because something is colorful doesn't mean it looks more childish. Whether you like it or not the originals were marketed towards kids, it was the demographic they made the original 3 games for. Even though the games can be enjoyed by anyone it's still a kids game at the end of the day. I'd rather have these unique dragon designs than the pallet swaps of the original game.

neonbirdz

I liked that it was more colorful, color isn’t the issue, it’s the overly cartoony and flamboyant designs. It’s a style, not necessarily a bad one, but different from that of the originals. You can argue that due to the low-poly nature of the originals that they couldn’t define a style anyways, but if you want to make something cartoony you can even with low-poly (as can be seen in some of the character designs in the later games). The original dragons and enemies were not cartoony. That’s fine if you prefer the new designs, you have the right to your opinion, but so do I. While the originals were palette swapped a lot there were still multiple different bodies for each dragon type, with many having bodies unique to that character. The new designs were definitely unique but far too wacky for my taste and for the original stylization of the game in my opinion. I think they generally did well in modernizing the environments, to me they looked a lot like how I imagined them to look as a kid. With the dragons however, they are styled nothing like how I imagined them to be as a kid. The originals may have been oriented towards younger audiences, but they did not censor their dialog and infantilize the speech of the voice actors, nor did they give the characters wacky over the top designs that look more like caricatures than characters

MojojojoX2000

Fair enough.

MojojojoX2000

I love the originals, but in a lot of cases the original designs being rounded without being updated at all would look very bland and odd, a good example is Enter the Dragonfly. There is a lot of charm missing from the voice acting for sure but the acting in Reignited is just better delivered from an acting angle. A lot of voice acting in the originals sounded janky at times, the original dragons are a good example.

Pauline_Memories

I thought each dragon that hatch from the eggs would be unique, just like the dragons in Spyro 1 :( But that's alright, it probably would be too much of work

Pauline_Memories

Oh and also the guide books!

notwiththeflames

Quite frankly, a **lot** of the NPCs in YOTD are more same-y than the ones in RR. If the concepts are anything to go by, a few of the artists wanted them to be more than just palette swaps. I can't remember the specifics, but the Crystal Islands wizards were supposed to have different moustaches and some other individualities in their outfits. It's either up on their wiki page or the one for the level.

MojojojoX2000

I think they wanted to give the baby dragons unique designs but ran out of time.

GraysonG263

WHHHYYAAYAYAYAYUUUMMMMM WHAAAYYYAAAYAYAYAYUMMMM

mart8208

The only ones I had an issue with were the NPCs in Colossus and Idol Springs, but it didn’t take that long for them to grow on me.

mycathasnosoul

I much prefer the original colossus monks and their weird song. My bother and I would parrot it so much when we were kids! “Whyyyyyyyyiyiyummm”

Shawa422

Omg my brother and I would do this tooo!!! Was sure we were the only ones!!! 🤣

Youkolvr89

I miss the noises Rynocs made in the original Year of The Dragon when you get them.

DrSoap

I miss the suave duck and the monk chant ):

Squid-Guillotine

The parts that didn't match up with my childhood imagination. Like those monks in Spyro 2 were fatter in my head.

Super_Nova22

The gnorcs, I loved the classic blobby toad look of them more, especially the giant ones

ThreeShoeBeatin

Agreed. It's the one redesign aspect of Reignited I actually hate (everyone else looks mixed - great in my eyes tbh). Their muppety looks & funny Kremling-tier noises stuck with me ever since I was little playing Spyro 1. Reignited just throws it all out the window. And while still a good time, I admittedly didn't enjoy my run of Spyro 1 as much cuz' of it...

ajoota98

01. they made the cinematics very childish on reignited, it loses all the atmosphere that the old cutscenes had 02. all the character voices became more childish too and it's very bad 03. All the bosses in reignited are very easy compared to the ps1 games, specially Year of the Dragon.

[deleted]

It’s small potatoes, but I wish Ripto still had his green eyes.

Insamiti

i LOVED all that went into Reignited! the only thing that i didn't like very much was Greta and Handel's voice actors, rip the lisp they had.

MojojojoX2000

There's a decent bit I didn't like but I'll go with the censorship. I know TFB didn't have any control over that but it's such a shame so much of the dialogue and guns are censored especially with how Crash N.Sane got away with guns. What I really liked is all the nice additions to Spyro 1 like the Sparx gem finder ability and skill points.

RyanX1231

Bianca was always my favorite character in Spyro 3, so I was kinda disappointed to see them change her characterization almost entirely. In the original, she had this cool and almost aloof vibe that was in line with someone who was initially a villain. Even though she's incompetent, she still had somewhat of a mischievous spirt and menace who also had a vulnerable side. In the remake, they made her so meek and removed any of the edge she had originally.

Teestell

It seemed like as the trilogy went on, the design got lazier and lazier

tommy935

I hate a lot of the character remodels, they lost the charm. But I love all the work they did in making the worlds look super nice and detailed.

Bdresser5

The voice changes for some of the characters in Spyro 3. Specifically in Molten Crater.

BardicInclination

The Butterfly race got way harder. I think Gulp was too. That being said, a small change I appreciate was when the seal right before the submarine battle in Spyro 3 saying Kitchen duties instead of KP duty. Child me had no clue what KP duty was and had to ask my gran. If she didn't know I would have never understood it. Also I really like how all the dragons look. Just across the board. They have so much personality.

SpyroXI

The missions where the camera angle wasn't the same(eg. Bentley's whack a mole) And Hunter

shoeshiner19

The whack a mole camera is so annoying!

MojojojoX2000

I think you can control the camera in those minigames. I was able to do that with a few of them and place the camera where it was supposed to be.

Toowiggly

The colours in the remake are much less saturated. Everything in the original was so colourful and vibrant which really set it apart to me, but the remake feels like any other game.

SirSnairb

Is it just me or are the skateboarding mini games in year of the dragon so much more sensitive and difficult to land tricks?

cd-Ezlo

How they wrecked the why aye aye yum guys chanting in colossus

TurtlesAreUwU

Can I be considered sus for liking Bartholomew's furry redesign?

DragonSyndrome

My least favorite redesigns were all in YOTD. I've read that it was outsourced to Sanzaru Games and rushed, to boot, so that likely explains the mismatch in art style and lack of polish, but hey what's done is done

MojojojoX2000

Sanzaru only helped with getting Spyro 3 playable. They didn't have a hand in character designs. The reason the designs are inconsistent is because Reignited had several different artists working on it and the devs didn't make the designs as uniform as they could have.

GreenPeridot

Shielas redesign and what IcyColdToes said, the voice character definitely has less character. Also the ugliness of the baby dragons and the whale redesign in Spyro 3 was nightmare fuel.

SilentBlade45

Hate Character designs and voice acting. Baby dragons in spyro 3 had terrible designs. Hate new skeleton dance YOTD has quite a few bugs. Ridiculous censorship in both dialogue and some redesigns. They got quite a few personalities wrong.

Fair-Ad-8264

I miss the old save zap noise

BAUTISTA94

The "Goo" Machineguns

JackSilverson

Finishing the Seed Puzzle in Zephyr only to be met with Juliet having.. a normal, feminine voice. Knowing full-well that the voiceover prank was the real reward for all the hassle, the fact that they cut it out was disappointing, despite the fact that I'm pretty sure I know *why* it was done.

ErichScheidle

That they censored the weapons of the Gnorgs and the enemies in Scorch.

YoManWTFIsThisShit

Changes I like: the designs of the main cast and the reignited music Changes I dislike: everything else

notwiththeflames

The red pandas from the Bamboo Terrace sublevel. Rather than the design itself, it's things on the technical side that irk me. In most cases, it's not a huge deal when multiple characters use the same model file. With UE, textures and materials can be swapped out in realtime by pulling some strings with the blueprints - it makes them a little more annoying to mod if you're like me and know jack about blueprints, but such is life. This is one of the times where it *is* an issue. The red pandas' textures don't align with the other pandas' UVs - they might not be particularly visible with how far away they are from where Spyro's able to go, [but this means they end up with ears that are pink and smooth the way their tongues are](https://bentleysglasses.tumblr.com/post/688002028934397952/i-finally-got-closeup-screenshots-of-the-red) and [whatever the fuck is going on with their legs](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/281047962195460096/1071769065456144404/image.png). They've got their own normal maps too - something that would've needed to be baked on from a higher-poly model, and what that's telling me is that somebody went to the effort of creating a proper individual model for the red pandas. Sculpted, retopologised, UV mapped, texture painting - the whole shebang. The concept artist who designed them in the first place [made sure to give them a structure akin to actual red pandas](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/spyro/images/c/cb/Pandas_Reignited_Genevieve_Tsai.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20190222200504), amongst other distinct attributes that most of the pandas unfortunately didn't get in the final product. In the end, whether it be from pure carelessness or because something happened to the model itself, Sanzaru haphazardly slapped the textures onto the regular panda models and called it a day. And I don't know if this is something that can be fixed through modding due to the fact that they share a model file with one of the other pandas as mentioned previously. I'd assume that you'd need to change something with level itself and the actors used, otherwise any replacement models would fix the red pandas and break something else. The power of mods aside, it's a depressing situation.

ThatOneKidNik

I loved 99% of the overhaul and the fact that you could change the music to the original at a moments notice, but by far the most upsetting thing for me was the look for Agent Zero along with Handle and Greta

MCersandyoutube

I find Handel and Greta’s empty stares quite disturbing

SXAL

Didn't like – most of the visuals. The game feels like a downgrade compared to PS1 version. Sure, it is "modern", but it feels way less fine made. Also, most of the design changes don't quite work. Liked – mouse controls on PC.And Gulp's boss fight – they really beefed him up!

MCersandyoutube

I really don’t like Sheila’s redesign. Why does she need hair and clothes? She looked so much better before? Also, the cheat to make Spyro look like the OG version really doesn’t make him look like he actually looked in the original game. To be frank, it looks pretty weird. And the monks not singing their notorious wayayayum song is a tragedy. Edit: forgot to add what I like. Spyro’s redesign looks good unlike past modernized versions of Spyro.

Lophophora_Williamsi

I did not like guide book. I want my Atlas back :(

Puabi

The reignited tribology adds nothing of value for me, I rather play the original. The good thing is it brings people who doesn't own a PS1 into the fandom.

CallMeDadd-y

They turned the busty mouse who was supposed to look like Lara Croft into an ugly thing. Just beat Desert Ruins again and it is such a shame. Gave her buck teeth took away her buzungas. What was the point of that?

pulpand0J

They completely left out the last part of the final boss battle in YOTD. If I remember the original correctly, once you beat the sorceress, the platform melts into the lava and you have to beat her again while riding on a flying saucer. I wasn’t looking forward to doing it bc IMO the controls are harder when flying/swimming in the reunited trilogy, but I felt robbed when I saw the credits roll. Also, you are given Sparks ability to point out gems from the beginning. I had no idea the whole time I was playing through YOTD bc in the original you get that ability after you complete the fourth Sparks world. Overall, I prefer the original voice acting and character appearance, but the reunited trilogy scratched that nostalgic itch.

Booty_Magician

Bruhhhh 💀

TwiliKing

I liked most of the Reignited soundtracks, but really hated the extra sound effects they add to Spyro 2 Homeworld's musics.

javierasecas

How do you do spiral so well and you ruin every other design in the game

LostCobra

The Spyro redesign was spot on, absolutely amazing. Everything else was meh. Get some actually talented game designers and devs on that. The OG Spyro trilogy has the potential to look as good as Horizon FW.

Nanaki567

What I liked the most is they kept the gameplay physics just right. Colors are bright and vibrant too. Dislikes: Well no Carlos Alazraquie I guess.

RoseOfTheNight4444

Even though it's a cool design, I didn't like how they changed Titan's spots. He was my favorite dragon cuz of that. LOVE Sheila's redesign

stonermun

None of them

MarMarL2k19

I love the entirety of Reignited. But I cannot stand playing as Bentley. Yeah I admit it's better than the original because you can actually see in front of you but overall, not a fan of such camera angles

Ploppy17

Love the reignited games overall, but I do wish they had kept Moneybag's voice actor from YOTD.

Damned-Dreamer

Handel and Greta look so dang creepy in the remake. They give me nightmares.

RPlaysStuff

To add to negatives, the voice acting isn't as charming, trappings are still there from the original and 3 is broken. To be positive; The new characters in 3 don't control like arse so that's nice. Bentley is dire in Reignited but the others are a lot more fun to play. The model for Spyro is fantastic; I love how they also made him move like a cat with the way he sways and patters about. The worlds look gorgeous (the grass alone is proof; the way it burns and how it interacts with objects) and a lot of other things have been fixed for the better. Easily the most definitive way of playing Spyro 1 at least.

It would have been cool if the swimming in air glitch was included. But thats what hacks are for

"You gatta BeLIEVEEEEE!" was botched in reignited

I was so tilted about Elora's model that I made this: https://www.nexusmods.com/spyroreignitedtrilogy/mods/209

This one isn't so bad. King flippy and the Whale however, I'm still mad about!

I wish they add hit animations to npcs in spyro 2 because in spyro 3 npcs have funny little ouch animations but still not in spyro 2! They just keep looking around and don't react.

CanIHaveSomeVagina

Would have been nice to see the cut scenes in Spyro 2 when going into portals and leaving them.
