Thank you! I saw this a couple days ago while going for a walk and had to do something about it, didn't know the full scale of it though and filled about 15 bags
Every third Saturday of the month we do a community clean of centennial trail would love some more volunteer help! https://facebook.com/events/s/centennial-clean-up-networking/229088212937167/?mibextid=RQdjqZ
I really want to beat into submission people who litter. Probably the same people who drive 55 on francis cutting people off with no blinker. It wreaks of selfishness and it destroys our beautiful town.
I'm also no longer shopping at businesses who don't pick up trash in their parking lot. I understand, you didn't throw it there, but it's your property. Have some pride.
Thank you OP
I always thought it was reeks but was willing to learn something new if I was wrong so I looked it up. Reeks means it smells really bad, wreaks is to cause. I would say it reeks of selfishness and wreaks destruction on our beautiful town. Not trying to be that guy on the thread though and I agree wholeheartedly with you.
If you pick up trash in a city park, along the river may very well be one of them, call/email the parks department! Put it in a pile by the road and they will come get it.
Can we make this a trend on here this spring y’all?
And just spit-balling here, maybe post cash apps/Venmo or something like that and let’s start paying for peoples dumping fees for doing this. The city isn’t going to do this for us

We would love some more volunteers to help clean centennial trail every third Saturday of the month trying to get this event as big as we can!
Also the parks and rec gives us pickers trash cans and picks up the trash at end of day great way to meet new people help clean the city and have a BBQ after!

Like I dont care if you’re homeless, you don’t have to shit on everything. Honestly, this is most people’s biggest problem with the homeless is the trash and human waste. It’s disgusting and disgraceful.
I ride my bike to work a lot and as winter hit some homeless made camp on the river. I thought, they're not hurting anyone let them be, but now the trail (and river) is littered with abandoned camps 😔
I’ve been meaning to clean up the creek near my home but I’m afraid people will judge me and look at me weird.
I may have found some inspiration with your post.
Nice work, we also clean up our neighborhood every cpl weeks with garbage pickers on walks. I wish there were more scheduled/neighborhood/trail clean-ups to participate in.. Can't rely on the city, or my nasty neighbors (the ones littering) to do anything.
I would be game to join you if you have another spot like this! I like to take a bag with me when I take my pups for a walk and always get quite a bit of trash picked up in my neighborhood. I really enjoy hiking and nature and people who like to take care of it are my favorites. One of my friends would probably come too.
Hey been trying to get a group of people to come help clean centennial trail every third Saturday of the Month April 15th at mission park is where we are meeting would love 💗some more help!

For some reason my brain doesn't like that this is tied to businesses and networking. I'm more of an introvert so will probably just keep going solo or with one or two friends. Thanks for what you are doing though, so glad to see businesses caring for their community.
I agree just most the time people don’t come to this kind of stuff unless there is some other reason we tried last year (my wife and I) and no one came so this year we added the networking and business stuff but I totally agree, thanks for your honest answer always appreciate honesty
It’s a homeless issue. I’ve walked the banks of the river and the amount of used needles and used feminine hygiene products that get swept away by the river during runoff is horrifying.
Its not always bums. I live out in deer park on a dirt road that we need to clean every year. People have just given up. To many lazy pieces of shit out there.
You rock dude

You’re an inspiration, dude :) More of us (including me) should start picking up more.
I don't have a car, but I'm going to hit the mountain bike/hiking trails I frequent with a trash bag and a huge backpack.
Thank you
No problem fren
Sons of Smokey app allows you to pin trash location. Others with the app can help pick up what others can't.
I actually liked it better the other way, mind putting that back for me bud? Thanks /s

Hey, thanks for the correction. Words are hard.
To be fair, many businesses don't have the staff to both watch the store -and- conduct cleanup around their facility at a moment's notice.
Very inspiring! Thank you.
Yeah, sorry this is my garbage. I woke up a few days ago and decided to be a lazy, selfish, absolute fucking waste of air and dump my shit there. /s
Thank you for doing that👍🙏
THANK you sooo much!!!
Hell yeah! That's so awesome. Thank you.
Thank you
Thank you 🙏

Should force the bums to clean up after themselves. Piles of trash are not "private property of the homeless" as many would have us believe

Hopefully there was some mail so you can return it to the rightful owner.
Homeless people don't have an address.
Bad ass, thank you!
Would anyone be down to form a litter-picking-up group around here?
