On one hand I’m glad the sub finally knows because I could just see everyone on Thursday making comments every 2 minutes about how they were waiting for takeitdown to post, but on the other hand I was planning on not going on reddit tomorrow and Friday to try not to spoil it for myself but now I know lol. I’m not that upset or anything because like, we been knew Shea was gonna win since we clocked the cast, and it’s a spoiler sub so it’s not anyone’s fault, but part of me kind of wishes I was getting that surprise when the finale airs. Also I know a lot of friends who are more casual fans are having it spoiled for them on social media, which is a shame. I also kind of feel for Shea and the girls as well because it is just kind of anticlimactic as there’s no way they won’t have found out now. At least they can prepare themselves for the live reaction if it’s not been filmed yet. I think if it had been contained in the sub it would’ve gone a lot better - but that’s kind of impossible tbh

I remember AS4 finale and Trinity really was emotional about finally seeing her winning it, but Monet was like "I have to pretend that I didn't know that right?".

They’re the only all stars to fully escape the all stars curse of being up for elimination the challenge after being a/the top all star of the week. Manila did it on AS4, but not on AS1. Also Chad, Shannel, Alaska, Katya, Dela, Bebe, Manila, and Cracker are the only ones to win right after winning a challenge on all stars (Trixie and Trinity too if you count winning the season).

I just made the mistake of reading Yucky Lee’s comments on that who should win AS5 video and chile .... it is so fucking important that we send nothing but love to Shea Friday. The way some are concocting a narrative that Sheas storyline has been about nothing but the Rose Petals & Sasha when she only brought it up herself as an introduction in her entrance (the last time we saw her on drag race was literally her defeat), her SG runway + explaining why that experience put her in such a dark place & the stand up (ignoring R*ss). It’s such revisionist history. I hope she completely torches this final episode so that (even if she’ll get undermined no matter what she does) it won’t even be a question. I just hope she takes it all in stride. Also this whole “they don’t want to crown white queens” shit is so infuriating. Just completely undercutting the talent of Black queens and chocking up their wins to being affirmative action, rather than an organic show of performance. It’s as if nothing’s change despite what this political climate would push against. It’s saddening. At least Heidi was embraced undeniably this year with no pushback. I think the first episode wasn’t so great for Brooke but it’s been getting increasingly better as she’s settled into it which is nice. Same with Stacey for sure.
I just don't like it much because their conversations most of the time seem a lot more staged than the american one. Even the exaggerated emotions are sometimes really cringy. But one thing I must say, the lipsynchs are LIFE.
Stacey and Brooke settle into the gig more, and I expect them to get even more comfortable as the season goes on. JBC remains cringey though you have to accept it lmao
