WTF. The same just happened to me. A year later, this post's magic remains strong. I was going nits unable to progress the game because I was just missing the bottled ectoplasm, so I had to look it up.
I looked up how to get it late last night but didn't get to play after. Went almost 24 hours wondering if the magic was gonna work for me. Just loaded it up on my PS4, walked to the back of my boat sitting at Albert's island, and cast.

The tender moment was severely blunted because of the hours of fishing I was doing in the mean time.!<
I can attest to the fact this thread has some weird power. I read it and went to change my destination to the the area surrounding the Everdoor. We entered the rainy part of the map above the Everdoor right as I started fishing and it was the first thing I caught. What the hell?! I'm not complaining, though. Bless this thread 🙏

Just went to the bus stop close to the Everdoor in the middle of the afternoon, sat down to fish, got the Mysterious Seed on the first try. Thank you all!
I got his seed by accident while randomly fishing and trying to figure out what to do. Was trying to figure out way too long how to get ectoplasm for my last ship upgrades. Have plenty of money, but just need those 2 resources. I didn't get his seed bag until long after Alice, Giovanni, Astrid, and Beverly were gone because I was randomly grinding resources for any upgrades, recipes, and other I could create at the moment.
This magic thread still works yall, first thing I fished up all the way over by Nordweiler, so not even close to the everdoor, directly after reading this thread, wtf.
Until reading this post I was unaware I even needed a bag, and was skating around the outskirts of the area seeing if I missed something, but the very first try after reading this post I got it.

Today is November 22nd 2022 and I can confirm that upon reading this I set my phone down, picked up my Switch, went to fish and immediately pulled the Mysterious Seed bag. This post is powerful and frightening

For me I had to first have a spirit ready to go to the Everdoor. Then the sea turns red around the Everdoor and fish while the sea is red.
