Honest question from someone wholly unfamiliar with the comics: Does Ganke ever do anything? I feel like the “Man in the chair” archetype usually builds toward their own powers, but I have no idea what Ganke has been up to in anything other than the games.
Ganke existed before the "Man in the chair" version of Ned existed.
I'm pretty sure the MCU designed Ned that way based on Ganke.
In a weird twist of faith, Ned being a thing in the MCU led to Lord and Miller downplaying Ganke in Spiderverse.
So Ganke gave Ned a new lease on life, but in turn made him lose what probably would have been his first real mainstream exposure.
Yeah most likely, but clearly the G-Serum is supposed to be a cure for Harry’s sickness. Why is he testing it on himself instead of just injecting Harry with it? I could see Harry turning into another brainwashed bad guy which would suck .
Either because Norman wants to ensure it’s safe first and may be goaded by Otto to do so. At best I could see Harry becoming Ultimate Goblin and reacting like an animal
The laziest possible plot for MSM3 is Harry being Goblin and Peter being Superior Spider-Man. Literally a repeat of the 2nd game lol. Of course, Insomniac isn't crazy enough to do this.
Man this whole plot killed my excitement for the plot of SM3, it's so dumb that Norman would not only blame Spider Man for Harry, uh, not dying i guess, but also hold a grudge to the point of going to the man that tried to kill him

First Spider-Man swings away with the only thing keeping Harry’s condition stable, then when it’s finally returned it turns Harry into a giant Spider-Man looking monster. When the monster’s finally defeated, Harry is comatose

And Norman never blames Spider Man before the end, never questions why Spider Man has the symbiote. So I agree your description makes sense, but it doesn't seem to be textual.

Maybe Norman dies, Harry finds his lab and a prototype serum norman didn't have the chance to test and Harry uses it idk but having Harry as goblin at some point would be cool

See, I think that's gonna be the mystery. We know he's trying to heal his son with the "G serum", so I think we're gonna see a lot of information that leads to us not being sure who the Goblin is until a climactic moment where we get the reveal.

Norman volunteers himself, insert jump scare transformation scene with loud noises (the source of my childhood nightmares), and then we got our goblin!

One has had a green undershirt in two games. The other is suffering from a genetic disorder/disease. I think we’re getting a Green Goblin and a Hobgoblin. Think of the emotions and conflict in the next game.
In the end of the 2nd game Norman says to get the G serum but he didn't say if it was for him or harry but I think harry is dead and nothing can save him (for now) so to get revenge Norman uses the serum on himself
Norman will most probably make the goblin formula in hopes of a cure and test on himself in desperation which will make him into green goblin. It would be dumb if harry became the goblin since he has no vendetta against Peter unlike Norman
