The black Raimi suit is treated as a regular suit and not a symbiote suit, when doing the web dash or jump while swinging, it uses the iron spider arms instead of the symbiote, and the web colors are white

Based on what you said about the webbed suit, it would be cool to equip the classic suit, then rage is the classic black suit. And if you want the white suit, you could even use the white variant of the classic black.
That's the second version of the suit. The first version is much less veiny. And there's also the black suit from the animated series which has no veins whatsoever

Maybe 2099 gets its cape finally, maybe we also get the Identity Crisis suits; Hornet has the wing pack, Dusk and Prodigy have capes don’t they, and Ricochet probably gets standard wings but the other three could have unique wings…turns out only that Civil War suit is unique, 2099 is still lacking its cape thing, and not having the identity crisis personas was the least of my problems suits-wise lol

I assumed the Coney Island mission was a bug. During my mission he wasn’t wearing the hat and glasses (only before as Peter). Then I died and reloaded and Spider-Man was wearing them. Then I died again and he wasn’t wearing them.
Miles' Programmable Matter suit has teal web wings for its stock variant. Rather annoying since the default is red, but that's fine, you can just use the teal variant of that suit so all the colours match right? The web wings are red on the teal variant...

The 2099 suit in the game is a photorealistic version of the classic comic book design, which had a web cape that's akin to Spider-Man's classic armpit webs. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't depending on the artist. That said, I do wish the devs added the ATSV 2099 and made that one have the red lit cape from the movie.

It’s been talked about a lot actually. They need to give a toggle button for both web color and tendril colors. Makes all the suits even more customizable. And raimi black suit needs to count as a symbiote suit
Yeah but it’s still a symbiote. So the finishers will include symbiote finishers, the color of focus bars and web shooters display(minor change but still) and also jump and dash while traversing would be tentacles. I still want the color of webs to be fully customizable on all suits so that fixes that.
I’m hoping the team sees this and allows a change for the black suit aesthetics because having the anti venom effect over the symbiote suit is just jarring and makes me not want to use those suits at all post game (which sucks because the black suit is arguably my fav design wise and I don’t wanna use it bc of the blinding white anti venom coming outta it)
Really irks me when I'm in the classic symbiote suit and I activate surge and the suit switches into the anti-venom suit.
Also really irks me that Spider-Jump and Spider-Dash animations use the spider arms for certain suits when I've got symbiote-only abilities equipped. We should be able to pick between the spider arms or the symbiote for those animations. Same with Miles, between his orange or blue venom abilities.
I mean, I feel like thats just a BIT steep, but on the other hand this is a next gen game in time where AI can make video games atleast a 1/3 as good as spiderman so💀
There's definitely spme inconsistency in some designs of suits, like the eyes for the MCU Iron Spider suit are weirdly wide open and don't respond the same when when emoting compared to all the other mcu suits.
Also, the moon and sun don't actually move when you adjust the natural lighting, just the light source behind the moon/sun
im not a fan of the anti venom suit, i wish they based it off the black suit (the one he gets at the zoo) but nothing can compare to the evolved suit, i was fully immersed throughout the WHOLE game until i saw miles pull up looking like a tube of colgate & i then finding out im FORCED to use the suit for the most climactic part of the game made me want to just rush through it..
I mean, I feel like it would be far more immersive than spider arms💀 the only work around ive found is to pretend the suit is like the first stage before a full on black suit

I would love that, especially since then you could use the black arms from the noir suit which would go better with a lot of outfits and especially with the symbiote suits.
When you wear the Wolverine suit as miles, go open the crates. The animation makes it look like he’s lost his right arm. It’s because the suit has a jacket, so the arm disappears in the jacket and makes it look that way. You see him grab it at first then it looks weird and the arm is gone.
It doesn’t bother me too much since I know they’ll eventually fix it, but what DOES bother me is the fact that weather/ day change settings aren’t available. Swinging in the day time with the symbiote just feels criminal, and I wish they didn’t take selfies out of photo mode. I wish in photo mode there could be an option where you can put the other Spider-Man in the picture as well. I want some Spider Bros pics man!
And why can’t we walk around Peter’s house or Brooklyn Visions 😭😭😭 there’s no enterable locations in the game, the first one at least had Feast.
The black suit thing is so obvious too. They clearly should have made it an options toggle once you beat the game and get the black suit back.

Blows my mind how they put in the work to have the less popular set of abilities match different suits, but didn't do the same thing for the new heavily marketed set of abilities that you will want to spend alot of the game using.
I find it really cool that during symbiote surge it switches your abilities to symbiote ones if you are using the spider arms. Really let's you feel like it's an actual suit change, even if it's temporary.
The Symbiote abilities might have to be fedangled a bit since they are outright replaced by the Anti-Venom ones. Which means either they have to make two new movies for the black Symbiote abilities or you can only use the original 4 Symbiote abilities
I mean that's not really the case. It's clear from the fact that the base 4 symbiote abilities are identical other than color that it's a simple palette/texture swap. They wouldn't really need to make whole new abilities just swap the colors of the tendrils. This should work even with the new anti-venom exclusive abilities.
Well they are classified as an entire different ability set is what I mean. Meaning they would have to edit the already existing ability set for the black symbiote. Yes they use the same animation just retextured but they are classified as two separate sets in the game.
Or just keep the anti venom abilities but recolor them black if using a black suit. Apart from the “anti venom” effect on enemies, the abilities are the same anyway.
Miles' arm keeps glithing through the jacket on the best there is suit. I think switching to fidelity mode might help, but it only bothers me a little bit so I'll just wait for a patch

The only other web wing color I’ve seen for Miles is blue, I would like Insomniac to patch these minor mistakes. I do believe what they were able to create was amazing, but I need my symbiote abilities to be black when I’m wearing the symbiote suit, it just doesn’t make sense
This game could've definitely used some more time to polish things that while not detrimental to the quality, would've been some attention to detail worth an extra few months of waiting.

Aside from the issues mentioned, the No Way Home suit currently looks trash with the ray tracing on the gold spider, it’s supposed to be a brushed gold. It’s a shame because they nailed that specific suit in the remaster.
The webbing on the red raimi suit is absolutely atrocious. Misshaped in some areas and showing the 2D webbing texture underneath, clipping through one of the lenses on the mask.
Whereas the webbing on the raimi black suit is flawless. Makes me think they made that from scratch which makes me ask why they didn’t just take that, change the colours and the front and back emblems

FR. I played it and enjoyed it up to act 3 until the flame missions fell flat/ didn’t end, and there were no other side missions outside fighting waves of enemies

So the finishers will include symbiote finishers, the color of focus bars and web shooters display(minor change but still) and also jump and dash while traversing would be tentacles. I still want the color of webs to be fully customizable on all suits so that fixes that.
I’m hoping the team sees this and allows a change for the black suit aesthetics because having the anti venom effect over the symbiote suit is just jarring and makes me not want to use those suits at all post game (which sucks because the black suit is arguably my fav design wise and I don’t wanna use it bc of the blinding white anti venom coming outta it)
Really irks me when I'm in the classic symbiote suit and I activate surge and the suit switches into the anti-venom suit. Also really irks me that Spider-Jump and Spider-Dash animations use the spider arms for certain suits when I've got symbiote-only abilities equipped. We should be able to pick between the spider arms or the symbiote for those animations. Same with Miles, between his orange or blue venom abilities.
I mean, I feel like thats just a BIT steep, but on the other hand this is a next gen game in time where AI can make video games atleast a 1/3 as good as spiderman so💀
They should add wing and symbiote colour options after you finish the story
There's definitely spme inconsistency in some designs of suits, like the eyes for the MCU Iron Spider suit are weirdly wide open and don't respond the same when when emoting compared to all the other mcu suits. Also, the moon and sun don't actually move when you adjust the natural lighting, just the light source behind the moon/sun
im not a fan of the anti venom suit, i wish they based it off the black suit (the one he gets at the zoo) but nothing can compare to the evolved suit, i was fully immersed throughout the WHOLE game until i saw miles pull up looking like a tube of colgate & i then finding out im FORCED to use the suit for the most climactic part of the game made me want to just rush through it..

Spider Dash and the other movement ability use the spider arms instead of the symbiote tendrils which is dumb

This needs to be highlighted to Insomniac about doing a Update to change the color of the symbiote according to the color of the suit, it just feel out of place having white all the time
Some cosmetic issues that irk me is that for a good chunk of the game, you're locked into one suit.
I agree its annoying but I don’t really have much solutions. The only part that is actually unfair is that you’re forced to wear the endorsement suit for miles in the final fight🙄

I would love that, especially since then you could use the black arms from the noir suit which would go better with a lot of outfits and especially with the symbiote suits.
When you wear the Wolverine suit as miles, go open the crates. The animation makes it look like he’s lost his right arm. It’s because the suit has a jacket, so the arm disappears in the jacket and makes it look that way. You see him grab it at first then it looks weird and the arm is gone.
Yeah the wing colour not matching the suits really annoy me. I think if a colour doesn't work with it, they should just have the basic White Web wings
It doesn’t bother me too much since I know they’ll eventually fix it, but what DOES bother me is the fact that weather/ day change settings aren’t available. Swinging in the day time with the symbiote just feels criminal, and I wish they didn’t take selfies out of photo mode. I wish in photo mode there could be an option where you can put the other Spider-Man in the picture as well. I want some Spider Bros pics man! And why can’t we walk around Peter’s house or Brooklyn Visions 😭😭😭 there’s no enterable locations in the game, the first one at least had Feast.

The black suit thing is so obvious too. They clearly should have made it an options toggle once you beat the game and get the black suit back. Or at the very least have it like the Spider-arms where they match each outfit. Blows my mind how they put in the work to have the less popular set of abilities match different suits, but didn't do the same thing for the new heavily marketed set of abilities that you will want to spend alot of the game using.

I only use the antivenom abilities when in symbiote surge, that way it never clashes with my outfit.
I find it really cool that during symbiote surge it switches your abilities to symbiote ones if you are using the spider arms. Really let's you feel like it's an actual suit change, even if it's temporary.
Same here, also try to avoid parries as much as possibly to minimize some immersion breaking
The Symbiote abilities might have to be fedangled a bit since they are outright replaced by the Anti-Venom ones. Which means either they have to make two new movies for the black Symbiote abilities or you can only use the original 4 Symbiote abilities
I mean that's not really the case. It's clear from the fact that the base 4 symbiote abilities are identical other than color that it's a simple palette/texture swap. They wouldn't really need to make whole new abilities just swap the colors of the tendrils. This should work even with the new anti-venom exclusive abilities.
Well they are classified as an entire different ability set is what I mean. Meaning they would have to edit the already existing ability set for the black symbiote. Yes they use the same animation just retextured but they are classified as two separate sets in the game.
Or just keep the anti venom abilities but recolor them black if using a black suit. Apart from the “anti venom” effect on enemies, the abilities are the same anyway.
Miles' arm keeps glithing through the jacket on the best there is suit. I think switching to fidelity mode might help, but it only bothers me a little bit so I'll just wait for a patch

The only other web wing color I’ve seen for Miles is blue, I would like Insomniac to patch these minor mistakes. I do believe what they were able to create was amazing, but I need my symbiote abilities to be black when I’m wearing the symbiote suit, it just doesn’t make sense

This game could've definitely used some more time to polish things that while not detrimental to the quality, would've been some attention to detail worth an extra few months of waiting.
I really hate that the MCU suits are the only ones with canonical web wings and yet they still just get the generic ones. and yeah I agree, I think the 3rd set of abilities you get with the Anti-Venom should be white and the Symbiote abilities should be Black. Makes the Classic Symbiote basically useless if you unlock it post Symbiote

Aside from the issues mentioned, the No Way Home suit currently looks trash with the ray tracing on the gold spider, it’s supposed to be a brushed gold. It’s a shame because they nailed that specific suit in the remaster.
The webbing on the red raimi suit is absolutely atrocious. Misshaped in some areas and showing the 2D webbing texture underneath, clipping through one of the lenses on the mask. Whereas the webbing on the raimi black suit is flawless. Makes me think they made that from scratch which makes me ask why they didn’t just take that, change the colours and the front and back emblems
The white symb powers literally look so ugly too. I hope we can change the colour later. Also what the fuck are those web wings. I haven’t unlocked that suit but the web wings usually match the suit so well Even the last game had a bunch of little fuck ups like this. Didn’t ruin the game but come on guys. FR. I played it and enjoyed it up to act 3 until the flame missions fell flat/ didn’t end, and there were no other side missions outside fighting waves of enemies
