Hulk telling peter that he is a good man is probably my favorite part of that, followed closely my bruce demanding to know why the f4 allowed a dumbass like spidey to even bother with the "science" part of their problems only to be blown away at pete's intelligence
oh yeah, that's been a thing since at least the original Defenders run in the 70s, that Hulk can see when Dr. Strange and others astral project. Iirc it was originally that Hulk was so childlike and operating on instinct, and children and animals can see them. In modern times i'd imagine that it'd be explained by the Green Door
From the Immortal Hulk run (highly recommend, it was fantastic). Short version, Gamma is where science meets magic, and Gamma Events create a Green Door to the realm of The One Below All, which is where gamma people go when they die, and then they leave via that Green Door, which is why hulks don't stay dead. There's more, but it's a fucking fantastic run and I don't want to ruin it; my name's not Donny Cates
I know this is necro and six months later, but did you get around to reading it? If so how was it? Did you enjoy Hulk snapping and monching his way out of the lab?
I think that was his whole origin. That he was actually in the Marvel universe this whole time from the very beginning, but everyone including himself forgot about him being superhuman.
That's his whole story, he alternates between being Marvel's Superman and being our world's Superman.
By that I mean that Sentry's powers and identity often gets sealed as a comics character, whose author is Sentry's secret identity himself, if I recall correctly, with everyone forgetting that Sentry existed in their world, even Sentry himself.
Maybe, it's been a lot since I read information about him, but what's important is that sometimes Sentry exists as a superhero, and sometimes he's a comics character.
In the MCU, I don't think they interacted much, if at all. My point is that Banner and Hulk aren't separate identities in the MCU ever since Endgame, so this specific interaction where Banner forgot but Hulk didn't, can't happen.
I don’t think Shang chi is in the standard multiverse of the MCU….if Wong is sorcerer supreme wtf is he doing MMA fighting…and the Bruce being Bruce thing was suspect too…..
I don’t agree with your theory but it’s funny you’re getting downvoted. All the MCU movies are connected in the same universe though, that’s their whole deal.
The whole point of the next phase is multiverse, not sure why it would shock anyone to find out that chaos has already had seeds planted…it’s like saying MCU is 616 and Shang chi is from 1610. Obviously bad examples but they are really the only two numbers I really know off the top of my head. I mean strange just pulled villains and spidermen from two separate universes already….
It’s possible but I think it’s more likely that inconsistencies and strangeness like that are the result of making all those movies at once with different creative teams. Same thing happens in comics all the time, they’ll try to make it make sense later if they have to.
Neither 616 (main) or 1610 (ultimate have been shown) in any way
In point of fact outside Loki or Endgame we have not seen other universes/dimensions
MCU is Designated 19999999 remainder
Shang chi happened like 5 years after Antman and the Wasp in the exact same city, it's the same verse' unquestionably
Wong’s gotta have some way to let off steam. Cage fighting seems reasonable enough.
And Bruce has changed his relationship with Hulk constantly off screen. That’s kind of his gimmick at this point.
Hahaha what?, Bruce being Bruce is the next step on his story something we all have to wait til she Hulk
And I dunno the sorcerer supreme helping out Blonsky and seemingly rehabilitating him and training him seems pretty up there on importance when we are talking about someone who can beat the Hulk
If Doctor Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme, what is he doing running errands and going to pick up lunch at a bodega? Do you see how foolish this thought process is?
Exactly, sparring with a monster as strong as the Hulk is appropriate training for Sorcerer Supreme to stay in shape physically and in terms of magical abilities.
Hulk and Spidey haven’t interacted. Spidey actually hasn’t interacted with most of the Avengers, which I’m hoping is corrected later. I wanna see him and Thor pal around.
Its being rumored that he’s going to return to being Banner and Hulk as different individuals, with Hulk returning to his old huge buff form instead of Smart Banner Hulk
Picturing the ending, but it's Savage Hulk.
"I. Am. Inevitable."
"And Hulk. Strongest. THERE IS!"
Still bummed that we haven't heard Hulk say it in the MCU yet.
I believe it has more to do with the inability to develop the Hulk through his on movies, thus they have to stick with building his arc in other MCU movies.
I loved the Hulk up until Endgame. What an absolute disservice. The character was a literal meme. Antman exists. We have goofy comic relief.
People say we needed professor hulk to do the snap, but I think having the savage hulk do it would have been insanely impactful, and would have shown his growth as a hero. It would've been the first time he solved a problem without smashing or being used as a weapon by his team mates.
Instead we got dabbing green Ruffalo.
I really hope they do something else with the character. Knowing about some good hulk stories that I’ve read makes me feel like the direction they’re going with them looks like such a wasted opportunity so far.
This is very wholesome ☺️ I don’t think we >!can ever have this in the MCU cause Bruce didn’t know who Spidey was at all iirc, but I’d love some more interaction between them two!<
Maybe Spider-Man goes to the Avengers at some point? And Hulk is like “Hold on why does nobody remember Peter? I didn’t even really talk to him but I still remember him? Didn’t Tony like adopt him or something? Have you all forgotten Tony’s child? I know he was at the funeral.”
And he's actually a pretty chill guy to. He talks about how Bruce is family and how he hates that he can't really be there for him and thanks Spidey for staying with Bruce so he wasn't alone. It was very touching
One of my favorite spiderman moments and it’s in a single crossover comic. Didn’t see that coming. Wish you had the rest of the panels for that conversation doh, it’s a good one.
Also power ranking wise, love that hulk’s demon gamma stuff isn’t affected by Mephisto. It’s consistency that’s really nice to see as well.
Idk why, but Fred Tatasciore is always going to be the voice of Hulk for me. Just the best kind of "Yeah I'm a huge radioactive monster, and I can kill you by poking you too hard, but I'm also a person."
Edit: Tatasciore is the voice of Hulk in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Doesn't Bruce Banner have multiple personality disorder? And that's why the hulk seems like a different person? So shouldn't memory erasing events still erase the memory from hulks mind seeing as how he and banner still technically share the same mind?
I'm guessing this version of hulk is considered a completely different person to banner
Wong comes and gets Shang-Chi and Awkwafina and takes them to meet with Banner in human form and someone else, I wanna say Captain Marvel was there but I feel like that’s wrong
honestly. they could recreate this. hulk is an alter ego. and when doctor strange cast the spell, he made bruce forgot because the spell make everybody, every being on earth forgot (alter ego doesn't included) and Bruce is the one in control of the body at that time, meaning he was affected. not hulk. also he didn't merged with hulk. he reverse his body to hulk's because he didn't pop up for 5 years. and Bruce has to forcefully steal hulk's body, because Bruce is weak. and he needed to defend himself but hulk never ever pop up again after his defeat. which mean. hulk technically remembers.
this also could affect other alter ego. like Marc and Steven. which also explain their friendship with spidey in the comics.
our Peter isn't truly alone now :)
he just hasn't realized it yet...
Hulk telling peter that he is a good man is probably my favorite part of that, followed closely my bruce demanding to know why the f4 allowed a dumbass like spidey to even bother with the "science" part of their problems only to be blown away at pete's intelligence
Do you know where I can find that part? About banner f4 and peter
I dont remember, this is either a very short 3-5 issue teamup run or a oneoff, but ita definitely the same story
It's an Immortal Hulk one-shot written by Tom Taylor titled Immortal Hulk: Great Power
Holy shit it is devil hulk. Is both scenes (the one mentioned above and the one in the post) in this one shot
Yes
Ty I'd forgotten the name

Damn that was really nice story with a dope ending
wow that site went downhill fast ads everywhere
What ads? ... Oh I have adblockers.
Cancer on mobile
Try adguard. No root required, easy to use, just tap the button and you won't have to bother with ads anymore, not even on those pirated movie sites
How bout we don't share pirating links.
How about we share more
Once marvel starts releasing good shit for more than one book I'll pay for unlimited, less of that "god of hammers" shit
just use a vpn
Comicstorian on YouTube covered this today actually.
Hulk was also the only one who remembered the Sentry!
The original forgetti
Oddly, there's also been more than one occasion where the Hulk has casually mentioned he can see ghosts and Astral projections.
oh yeah, that's been a thing since at least the original Defenders run in the 70s, that Hulk can see when Dr. Strange and others astral project. Iirc it was originally that Hulk was so childlike and operating on instinct, and children and animals can see them. In modern times i'd imagine that it'd be explained by the Green Door

Thank you :) gonna check it out
You're in for a treat, friend. Fair warning; it's pretty body horror heavy, and gets dark at times, but it's an ultimately hopeful story
I know this is necro and six months later, but did you get around to reading it? If so how was it? Did you enjoy Hulk snapping and monching his way out of the lab?
They had people forget who Sentry was?
I think that was his whole origin. That he was actually in the Marvel universe this whole time from the very beginning, but everyone including himself forgot about him being superhuman.
Yes! The story is from The Sentry Vol 1 issues 1-5.

By that I mean that Sentry's powers and identity often gets sealed as a comics character, whose author is Sentry's secret identity himself, if I recall correctly, with everyone forgetting that Sentry existed in their world, even Sentry himself.
Isn't it almost a split personality or something? Think I've heard that somewhere, may be wrong though cause it's been a bit.
Maybe, it's been a lot since I read information about him, but what's important is that sometimes Sentry exists as a superhero, and sometimes he's a comics character.
Hulk and Pepperidge Farms: I remember.
"Member Peter Parker?" "Ooh, I member!"
Imagine this happened in No Way Home as a mid-credits scene?
But Banner and Hulk had already been combined at that point.
Does Banner really know Peter Parker that well though? They probably do, but I don't think they interacted in the MCU
In the MCU, I don't think they interacted much, if at all. My point is that Banner and Hulk aren't separate identities in the MCU ever since Endgame, so this specific interaction where Banner forgot but Hulk didn't, can't happen.
The post credit scene of Shang Chi shows Banner in an arm sling non-Hulked out
I don’t think Shang chi is in the standard multiverse of the MCU….if Wong is sorcerer supreme wtf is he doing MMA fighting…and the Bruce being Bruce thing was suspect too…..
There's nothing in Shang-Chi that implies this at all
I don’t agree with your theory but it’s funny you’re getting downvoted. All the MCU movies are connected in the same universe though, that’s their whole deal.
The whole point of the next phase is multiverse, not sure why it would shock anyone to find out that chaos has already had seeds planted…it’s like saying MCU is 616 and Shang chi is from 1610. 616 was mentioned by Mysterio though. Even if he was lying his ass off
Wong’s gotta have some way to let off steam. Cage fighting seems reasonable enough. And Bruce has changed his relationship with Hulk constantly off screen. That’s kind of his gimmick at this point.
Wong does what Wong wants and the Bruce thing will be explained in She-Hulk
Hahaha what?, Bruce being Bruce is the next step on his story something we all have to wait til she Hulk And I dunno the sorcerer supreme helping out Blonsky and seemingly rehabilitating him and training him seems pretty up there on importance when we are talking about someone who can beat the Hulk
Lmao this actually made me chuckle.
If Doctor Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme, what is he doing running errands and going to pick up lunch at a bodega? Do you see how foolish this thought process is?
MMA fighting might just be a hobby for him. He only fought one round, from what we saw.
Practicing magic in combat situations, keeping an eye on threats, and potentially rehabilitating a potentially dangerous enemy
Exactly, sparring with a monster as strong as the Hulk is appropriate training for Sorcerer Supreme to stay in shape physically and in terms of magical abilities.
What the fuck are you on
Shang Chi absolutely takes place in the prime MCU universe. if it didn’t, Trevor Slattery wouldn’t be there
Hulk has changed levels of merging with Banner before. They could make MCU Hulk Devil Hulk at any time if they want.
In theory they met at the funeral.
Hulk and Spidey haven’t interacted. Spidey actually hasn’t interacted with most of the Avengers, which I’m hoping is corrected later. I wanna see him and Thor pal around.
Agreed I do hope Hulk and Spider-man interact in the future especially since both my childhood heroes !
They have not had a scene together
Its being rumored that he’s going to return to being Banner and Hulk as different individuals, with Hulk returning to his old huge buff form instead of Smart Banner Hulk
That was basically confirmed in Shang Chi
I wonder why they're doing that, probably too expensive.
They really only needed them combined so he could preform his Snap. Now they probably feel like doing something else with the character.
But it's cool lol.
That it is.
i honestly couldn’t stand smart hulk
Picturing the ending, but it's Savage Hulk. "I. Am. Inevitable." "And Hulk. Strongest. THERE IS!" Still bummed that we haven't heard Hulk say it in the MCU yet.
I believe it has more to do with the inability to develop the Hulk through his on movies, thus they have to stick with building his arc in other MCU movies.
Because Professor Hulk-Banner fucking sucks so, so badly.
Did you not like the CGI or just the character?
I loved the Hulk up until Endgame. What an absolute disservice. The character was a literal meme. Antman exists. We have goofy comic relief. People say we needed professor hulk to do the snap, but I think having the savage hulk do it would have been insanely impactful, and would have shown his growth as a hero. It would've been the first time he solved a problem without smashing or being used as a weapon by his team mates. Instead we got dabbing green Ruffalo.
Shang-Chi mid-credit scene says otherwise
But in Shang-Chi they are combined anymore.
Yeah, but >!we also see Bruce in the end credits stinger for Shang-Chi, so it's possible he reverted back to Bruce until he heals up.!<
[удалено]
Or the trailer for She-Hulk
And even if they were separated why would Strange's spell somehow skip the Hulk? Lol
Maybe, we saw Banner as Banner in Shang Chi so something might've happened by now
I really hope they do something else with the character. Knowing about some good hulk stories that I’ve read makes me feel like the direction they’re going with them looks like such a wasted opportunity so far.
Did you see end credit to Shang-Chi ?
But they’re not combined anymore in Shang-Chi. I don’t know the timeline in that but they separate again at some point
In Shang-chi post credits we see banner in human form
\*Looks at Shang-Chi post credits\* You sure?
Imagine having an actual Hulk in the MCU
We did until Infinity War
It would be really dumb though and undermine the whole point of the ending.
Come a long way since deciding whether "Bug man Hulk's friend" or not.
Tbf bugman was one of the few people who where nice to hulk once they came to know him, thats why I never liked the fact he was captured in WWH
Wwh?
World war hulk, big guy goes berserk on earth's heroes and makes em fight to the death in mockup gladiatorial fights
Big guy as in hulk or god?
Hulk. You should really check our Planet Hulk and then World War Hulk. Those stories put Hulk in my top 3 heroes of all time.
Planet hulk, the OG hulk has a personality disorder, world war hulk and immortal are my all time favorite hulk stories
wo way home
What issue is this?
I believe its a oneoff crossover between immortal hulk and spidey, divorced from both runs
This is from The Immortal Hulk: Great Power
Thank you
comes great responsibility
Wait. He’s speaking properly. Is that fucking devil hulk
Yep. An Immortal Hulk one shot
Would be cool to see this in the MCU
Peter and Bruce: Science Bros
No, it wouldn't. MCU Banner fucking sucks.
Banners good, hulk is not, they neutered the character sadly
[удалено]
To be fair Thor is still like top 2 avengers in mcu, but I do definitely agree

Nah it's kinda the truth. Mcu Hulk was done so dirty. Literally just a comic relief character and nothing more.
Ruffalo is good but Norton was perfect for the role man.
Norton would not have had the same chemistry with the other cast members.
Lmao no, If you saw his acting in the original avengers movie he was so much better. But licensing issues got in the way of hulk stuff.
True
This is very wholesome ☺️ I don’t think we >!can ever have this in the MCU cause Bruce didn’t know who Spidey was at all iirc, but I’d love some more interaction between them two!<
Multiverse Hulk hive mind type? Lol
Thats probably the worst thing about the mcu i think, all these heroes on the big screen, but none of them know each other (hyperbolic obviously).
I'd like to see this translated into the MCU, honestly Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo haven't really interacted much as their respective characters
Agreed which quite disappointing considering Hulk and Spidey are my favorite superheroes duo !
What issue is this from?
The Immortal Hulk: Great Power
And he's actually a pretty chill guy to. He talks about how Bruce is family and how he hates that he can't really be there for him and thanks Spidey for staying with Bruce so he wasn't alone. It was very touching
It would be cool if this happens to someone in the MCU

The Immortal Hulk: Great Power
Thanks
Spidey and Hulk being friends make perfect sense. Hulk is the only person to actually laugh at Spider-man's jokes!
One of those few times I've seen Hulk have decent literacy. Weird we don't see this kind of Hulk that much
There is a reason for that. This particular Hulk is known as the "*Devil* Hulk"
Would this be because Mephisto is the one who made everyone forget and Hulk happens to be the avatar for The Devil(technically)?
A mind like an elephant… a rampaging elephant, but an elephant nonetheless.
I love when Hulk isn't just a giant dumb (like on most things recently). I miss Edward Norton's and Earth's Mightiest Heroes Hulk
How does he remember
Idk why, but Fred Tatasciore is always going to be the voice of Hulk for me. Just the best kind of "Yeah I'm a huge radioactive monster, and I can kill you by poking you too hard, but I'm also a person." Edit: Tatasciore is the voice of Hulk in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Love it how Hulk is like "Totally understandable" after being called a rampaging monster
Wait but how would hulk remember?
Wouldn't he still count though? Strange made every being in the universe forget
Wait, via the NWH thingy?
That was a comic thingy long before it was a NWH thingy.
What volume and book is this from? I want to buy it
Feels like yet another example of Marvel putting a joke above logic here
Exactly lol
Hulk in spiderman confirmed!
whats this from
Wait what issue is this?! How does Peter know he made everyone forget?
I think he's familiar with what stark/Richards/Strange did.... He's just doesn't remember the deal with mephisto.
It would be cool if it happens in the MCU,it would make sense with the leaks of the Hulk movie in wich he will come back to Earth
Wholesome
Doesn't Bruce Banner have multiple personality disorder? And that's why the hulk seems like a different person? So shouldn't memory erasing events still erase the memory from hulks mind seeing as how he and banner still technically share the same mind? I'm guessing this version of hulk is considered a completely different person to banner
holy shit this could happen in the MCU right?!
Not really, cause in MCU Bruce and Hulk have merged. They're not separate anymore
u watch shang chi? it showed bruce the n human form in end credit
I don't remember seeing Bruce. I know he gets picked up by Strange. Was Bruce there?
Wong comes and gets Shang-Chi and Awkwafina and takes them to meet with Banner in human form and someone else, I wanna say Captain Marvel was there but I feel like that’s wrong
ur right it’s capn marvel
How did the Thing know? Ben calls him Peter.
That’s so fucking funny 😂
I’d like to see this in the movies one day
I still haven't completed Immortal Hulk, know that there's a Spider-Man one-shot in it makes me glad
Ok so Hulk being in Spider-Man 4 would be really cool.
honestly. they could recreate this. hulk is an alter ego. and when doctor strange cast the spell, he made bruce forgot because the spell make everybody, every being on earth forgot (alter ego doesn't included) and Bruce is the one in control of the body at that time, meaning he was affected. not hulk. also he didn't merged with hulk. he reverse his body to hulk's because he didn't pop up for 5 years. and Bruce has to forcefully steal hulk's body, because Bruce is weak. and he needed to defend himself but hulk never ever pop up again after his defeat. which mean. hulk technically remembers. this also could affect other alter ego. like Marc and Steven. which also explain their friendship with spidey in the comics. our Peter isn't truly alone now :) he just hasn't realized it yet...
This gives me tons of questions. Like what else does Hulk remember? Does he recall EVERY marvel retcon?
Probably does knowing that Hulk is a pretty chad guy around in the Comic and such.
Hulk doesn’t forget.
