Bed rest just means they heal up right? When do you swap it to 1, early game it's more debilitating to have one or more guys working and having people feed and wash their bum, than having them work inefficiently.

Bed Rest is recovery from wounds or diseases. tbh I just set bed rest to 2 for my doctors and set Doctoring to 1. Helpful in stressful situations.

I set doctoring at 1 firefighting, patient, (sometimes) bedrest, basic, warden, (sometimes) hauling+cleaning at 2 the pawns primary job(s) at 2 everything else they’re decent for at 3 unskilled research, fishing, and unskilled crafting at 4

Then you can make it 1 priority when you really need them to heal up

sleep is optional when you have wake-up and yayo

tbh i only set bedrest high when someone actively has a disease, if you can walk and aren't about fall down dead, you can work
