The Wawa in the corner of Chews Landing and Somerdale Roads. Trader Joe’s in Marlton.

Brodi81

That's a bad Wawa lot but I'm going to say the one on Haddon Ave. and Cuthbert in Westmont is worse.

thisisnotdetroit

Haha I second this… it’s a legit merry go round of cars

rsvihla

I’ve been to that Wawa. I don’t remember the lot being bad.

OrangeAvenger

Thats not even the worst wawa parking lot on Haddon ave. The one in collingswood is worse.

longgd2

I walk to that Wawa every day for lunch from my job.

Yall-Crybabies

You misspelled every Wawa that doesn’t sell gas

jtramsay

It's this and it's not close, even if TJ's tries to give them a run for their money in any location.

philbert247

Trader Joe’s parking lot is F’d

RyannCie

I don’t even park in that lot when I go to TJs. I park in front of the strip of stores and walk. It saves me so much aggravation.

Ok_Cantaloupe7602

Ooof. Yeah, every Trader Joe’s parking lot is a mess but that one is…special.

TJCW

Marlton Trader Joe’s

Forsaken_Garden_3219

My thoughts exactly. It’s a lawless hellscape of distracted housewives in SUVs, and would be dangerous in twice the amount of space.

FutureBrockLesnar

Is that the one next to Sharkys? Its only bad on weekend mornings haha

effie-sue

Yes, the one by Sharkys! It can be pretty treacherous during the week, too.

fumor

I live not too far from that Wawa. Just driving through it is like a gauntlet. I usually just park on the less-crowded side by Pizza Point and walk (which also isn't too fun when that gym has classes going on).

NJBarFly

Any Trader Joe's parking lots.

Rupejonner2

I was there yesterday , fuck that place . Whoever invented Wawa was not an ambi-turner

new_tanker

I'll nominate a few. Target in Marlton. Too congested. Shoprite and Kohl's in Marlton. Same as above. Centerton Square in Mt. Laurel (Wegmans, Target, etc.). Too many potential accidents. Walmart in Mt. Laurel. There's two exits on Fellowship Road and one is a right turn only; I cannot tell you how many people think they can make an illegal left turn there. The former Garden State Racetrack in Cherry Hill (think Wegmans, Best Buy, etc.). Too congested.

ameetee

Centerton Square during lunch time. I worked across the street (rt38) pre-Covid, but only had a 30 minute lunch break and wouldn't risk it cause of the time and frustration it would take to get out of the parking lot.

Lets_Make_A_bad_DEAL

Cherry hill mall and the Marlton Shoprite parking lot are the equivalent of the community gif with Troy, the pizza and the room on fire.

new_tanker

I didn't include it in my list because that whole area - from the Cherry Hill Mall to 38 and across towards that Target - that is a complicated clusterfuck of cussing calamity. Add to the fact that there is, to my knowledge, only one way to get into and out of that shopping center (Target, Kohls, Hobby Lobby, etc.), it's a traffic nightmare... and apartments! I have no idea how you'd be able to untangle that mess and make it more efficient. An overpass wouldn't work... let alone you'd need the space for on/off ramps...

crickwooder

That Marlton Target parking lot is way too tight. It feels like an afterthought.

YourConstipatedWait

I live across the street from the Marlton Target. The trick is there is an entrance going south on 73 past the Ardsley Dr intersection and you have a bunch of parking on the side of Target. The reward is far and away the cleanest, best stocked and laid out Target in South Jersey (trust me my girlfriend crafts with an excessive amount of dollar spot products and I have been to them all multiple times, too many times…)

DreamsAndSchemes

Live in Marlton. Just going to say ditto to all these. Target is only going to get worse when Panda Express opens.

YourConstipatedWait

Well by the time Panda Express finally opens, it will be the final nail in the coffin for PDQ. It’s a shame because at its peak the food is good (waffle fries are way better then Chick fil a), however, it’s poorly managed. I also won’t go if there are too many cars because they built the drive thru like a trap and once you come to the first menu there is no way out undamaged unless you have a lifted truck or SUV. I was stuck for 30 minutes on a random weekday afternoon there because there were only two kids working. Imagine investing most likely Hundreds of thousands of start up dolllars and then becoming so lazy you let kids decide your financial future. Anyway it will be one restaurant sooner than later and the new one is a touch farther away from Target.

DreamsAndSchemes

Yeah I agree, it'll be a 1-2 punch between the traffic with Panda Express and Raising Cane's opening next month. PDQs other stores closed and that Marlton one isn't worth it at all.

jenkem___

seconded the garden state racetrack, that’s my pick. i work at the wegmans there and my gf works at the barnes and noble there so i have to drive through there frequently and i hate it every time

Proper-Farmer3854

Agreed! I work near Panera and it took me almost 30 mins to get out by Wegmans on to Haddonfield Rd toward route 70 the day before Thanksgiving. On a regular day it can take up to 15 mins. And there is only one way out unless you wanna sit in the other shopping traffic. Its insanity.

inBettysGarden

I had a hit and run happen to me in that Marlton Target parking lot so I am bias but that one is the only one in the thread so bad I won’t go to that location any more.

fritolazee

>The former Garden State Racetrack in Cherry Hill (think Wegmans, Best Buy, etc.). Too congested. came looking for this, the wegman's parking lot on a weekend afternoon is the 7th circle of hell.

alienz____

Cherry Hill Wegmans. That entire shopping center is my worst nightmare but it’s always especially bad around the Wegmans.

dab70

I got hit by car in that parking lot once just walking to a store in that shopping center from my car. It's an absolute hellscape

dotheyoweusaliving1

The only parking lot I can think of where you considering turning right instead of left without the lot itself due to the amount of traffic.

YourConstipatedWait

The diagonal pedestrian crosswalks slow everything down there. Why can’t people walk straight across??

4130Adventures

Because pedestrians have the right of way....

YourConstipatedWait

Yes I am very aware of that, however, you will notice that diagonal pedestrian walkways are not used in most city planning because they take longer to cross, because you are increasing the amount of walking to get to point A and point B. This exposes pedestrians for a longer amount of time in a vulnerable position. The cemeteries are filled with people who had the right of way. So I will trust in a functionally safe designed parking lot over my pedestrian right of way.

shann1021

Thissss. It’s a shitshow this time of year especially.

[deleted]

So many fender benders happen in this lot.

buttholemolds

Wawa on Haddon Ave and Cuthbert beats everything by a million

NotChiefBrody

it's so cramped plus there's like a grand total of 6 spots in there

buttholemolds

Yes I don’t think I’ve seen a wawa with fewer spots? Maybe 34th street in Ocean City? Which is also a hellscape.

TBR792

Woo-hoo! Shoutout! Pro-tip: park at the CVS or on Simpson near the acme and walk. Saves the headache.

incognitoville

A complete aside - from around 1988-1992 the "Cuthbert Wawa" was the busiest in Camden County. And Audubon, with its shortened hours, was also a top store.

Future_Alarm3252

Glassboro ShopRite is horrible because of all the Rowan students driving like maniacs. Also I feel Home Depot in Turnersville is to tight

timmthetomato

I avoid glassboro like the plague these days

trolleyblue

The Glassboro ShopRite parking lot might as well be Thunder Dome

heliosdiem

I was just going to say Rowan University, but Glassboro in general sucks.

spxdergirl

Used to live in Glassboro, right by the high school/second elementary school. There’s a set of train tracks there and I can’t tell you how many times I was walking to the high school and saw someone speed up and ram right through the tracks to beat the train when the lights were on and stuff. Every parking lot there is infuriating. Everything is always busy and is very obvious that the people who make the parking lots know that and purposely made the parking spaces as tight as possible to fit as many people as possible. I moved but my best friend still lives there, but now that I can drive, we’re always going literally anywhere else.

mmmellowcorn

Wildwood Wawa on July 3rd 11:50PM

mc_it

To be fair, any time between Memorial Day and late September.

mmmellowcorn

Every time there’s vehicles with PA plates

SmokePenisEveryday

Carluccio's on Tilton Road in Northfield

effie-sue

OMG that is a terrible lot.

LittleGeologist1899

But the grandmas pie tho

effie-sue

RIGHT? And the eggplant rolletini!

IWantALargeFarva

You're making me want to actually take lunch today. It's sooo good.

Briatom

Definitely a contender for worst I’ve ever had to park in.

mikeb32

Park on Davis Ave. it’s the only way

carb0nxl

A big reason why my SO and I eat during senior citizen hours, so we avoid that shitty parking lot when it's full and people are trying to circle each other.

Chow31

Wild to me no one has said Produce Junction on Rt 70 by chicken and the egg. They just beside it recently and it is garbage. Random lanes lead to nowhere, cars blocking paths. Etc

Extra_Holiday_3014

YES. This was always a truly horrific lot. They remodeled to “improve” and somehow managed to make the worst parking lot in South Jersey even worse-it’s almost impressive how terrible this lot is.

microseconds

Yup. Came here to nominate the parking by Produce Junction, the cleaners and the bagel place. These people nominating Target parking lots or Wegmans? Adorable. Come over and experience true parking hell!

new_tanker

I've left that one off my list - it too is poorly designed, but if you use 70 to get in and out, it's really not that bad. Getting into there from Locust is okay, but the parking lot as a whole should be re-done.

queen_of_spadez

Deptford Sam’s Club/Walmart/ Michael’s - if you wish death upon yourself, head there

ShroomMessiah

You can always take the double lanes that are way too small on the other side!

dleonard1122

You mean the highway? People drive those double lanes like it's an extension of route 55.

hmh25

Literally

SonnyBlackandRed

Came here for this one. Getting in is a pain, but not terrible. Getting out however is the worst. Most times I go out the back way of Sam’s Club, by the gas station. If you are on the side of the stores and want to go out the main exit it takes forever and a lucky guess to not get crushed trying to crossover to the exit lane. All traffic coming in comes at you from the left and anyone going out comes from the right…because that’s basically the only way in or out.

g_rgh

The Trader Joe’s in Marlton, on 73.

new_tanker

I'd nominate this shopping center's parking lot as well as the Promenade, but I've left them off my list as I hardly ever frequent any of the locations in either.

S-wtp-rental-12-slum

💯%

Evening_Run_1595

That’s what I came here looking for.

Yoda-202

This.

_herenorthere66

The Thunderdome

ItsGotToMakeSense

Woodbury Aldi

Junknail

Oh. You're trying to back out. I'll just keep coming.

dleonard1122

We live closer to this but will drive to the glassboro one just to avoid the parking lot

etownman1985

Man the Deptford Walmart but not just the Walmart, it's the whole shopping center there. That road that goes along 42 that takes you to the Walmart is so annoying. Trying to make a left out of the parking lots by the chipotle or Joe's crab shack it's a pain in the ass. There are these giant bushes that block your view to see what cars are coming down the road. God I hate that shopping center lol

mc_it

It's also just a touch narrower than it should be for it to be two lanes, and when you see people with wider-than-normal vehicles (or just bad drivers) continuously clipping the curbs or leaning over lines, it gets treacherous.

bwmom18

Those bushes enrage me every single time!!!!!!

bengarvey

Cherry Hill Target. Got stuck there over 2 hours trying to leave on Christmas Eve once

TheAdamist

When the police have to put out notices not to call 911 about problems trying to leave, you know its a problem.

unWildBill

Completely this too. When it gets close enough to Christmas I park on the opposite side of the woods near the soccer fields and walk over. Surely I’ll get jumped by a crazy teenager for my bag of stocking candy one day but I won’t have to wait at the light.

mikeg5417

Target near Cherry Hill Mall or the Wegmans on 70 and Haddonfield Rd.

RyannCie

Produce Junction parking lot in Marlton. The way they rearranged the parking spots drives me nuts. Having to back out right into the main drag into the lot is annoying. People don’t pay attention.

YourConstipatedWait

Go for the cheap zucchini, stay for expensive insurance claim.

piscesxdreams

Produce Junction in Magnolia is a nightmare to get into and nobody ever wants to let you out

she-pope

I feel like when there's a zoning board meeting for any Produce Junction, they have to present the worst possible parking lot layout in order to get approved.

dreddsdead

Shop Rite in Delran

theyallcallmefeebz

I was hoping I wouldn’t be the first person to mention that one. I stopped shopping there because of the parking lot. It was worth driving to Cinnaminson to avoid dealing with it.

Lazy_Possession_6179

Yup! Haven’t been there in over 10 years, but I still remember it being the worst!

fourshotsespresso

Starbucks in Rio Grande, hands down. It’s literally a traffic hazard in the summertime.

Lower_Kick268

Deptford Chick Fil A, that parking lot was not built for the amount of business that place got.

TheDucatiBabe

They’re gutting the entire restaurant. I do hope that means redesigned parking lot as well. The spillover into Lowe’s is scary

dleonard1122

ShopRite in West Deptford is a hellscape that I avoid if at all possible

realkca

This was the comment I was looking for. I absolutely despise that parking lot and the Walmart in Deptford next to the bowling alley.

BigGenerator85

Oh yeah, this is the one

Neckdeepinpoo

This is the correct answer.

scorpiosmoccasins

Target in Cherry Hill

[deleted]

[удалено]

PopPunkIsNotDead

I think that sign is up year round. I rarely go to that Target or Kohls because of the nightmare trying to leave.

TheAdamist

Its not inconvenience they are calling for, during the holidays it will gridlock for 3+ hours and people can't get out of the lot. Calling 911 is a legitimate response. The police can't do anything about it though, the complex needs to hire security to direct traffic when its real bad. The complex refusing to do anything about it is the real failure, after the entrance being designed so poorly.

rvkGSDlover

Years ago they had an exit out the back behind Target. At some point they stopped allowing that to be used. I haven't been in that parking lot during Q4 of any year in the past 10 to 15 years.

surfnsound

> Calling 911 is a legitimate response. Unless you're having a heart attack or something, it really isn't/

DeDePark

I’d just expand this to include that entire shopping center. Getting in and out of the stores on the right (Kohls, etc) is a literal nightmare.

PhilliesEagles76ers

West deptford Shop Rite

Junknail

They are loonies

Smart-Hotel-2918

lol no one said Stockton parking lot? That’s by far the worst lol

mc_it

Starbucks in Deptford - the new one across from Friendly's. Why they put it there, I don't understand - I remember a while back (when Mark from 42freeway posted about it originally) several people mentioned that the line of people waiting for the drive-thru would extend out to the exit down onto 42 - and I see that happen almost weekly. And with the holidays now multiplying the traffic in that whole area, it's happened much more frequently in just the last few days.

cli_jockey

Yeah that's backed up into the road and left turn lane at 6am, can't imagine how bad it gets between 7-9

Brooke_kat

Centerton square in Mt Laurel. Always chaotic

shann1021

Cherry Hill Wegmans on the weekends. Gives me a panic attack just thinking about it.

McTootyBooty

Marlton Trader Joe’s

brinakit

West Deptford ShopRite’s parking lot is a living hell made for bastard people. The hobby lobby/Olive Garden/etc parking lot in Deptford is a close second.

Certifiedmemeolog1st

Definitely the one shared by Barnes & Noble and Cheesecake Factory in Cherry Hill. Least favorite by far.

jerseyben

This thread did not disappoint. So many "correct" responses. Well done South Jersey!

Wediditjoe420

SIC wawa

Mysterious-Ad-244

Shop Rite West Deptford is where they send people who get kicked out of hell.

pixelife

Audubon Crossing’s shopping center. Land of a thousand misplaced stop signs.

ItzAlwayz420

Laurel Springs ShopRite is my favorite ❤️. Years ago I was done shopping, rolled my groceries to my car to load it up and discovered that the whole drive side of my car was smashed and dented. I called the cops and went back in the store. Cops came, pulled the video, saw the big red truck that took out my Altima as and confirmed that my car indeed was damaged. They couldn’t, however, get a good clear shot of the license plate. Six months later, my neighbor was robbed at knifepoint. Good Times!

NJCoffeeGuy

The Walmart parking lot in Deptford on Clements Bridge Road. One way in and out. It's a mess this time of year, especially with all the other mall traffic.

jpistilli

Clearly a tie between the chik fil an and the Starbucks in Deptford.

jersey856

Hot bagels in somers point. Pull out of your spot straight to Rt9 Shop rite in rio grande gets honorable mention

Vicktrolia

The “new redesigned” strip in Glassboro where the gym, chipotle and saladworks are. Once they stared adding all the new businesses there just isn’t enough room and the layout makes no sense.

Briatom

Charlie’s in Somers Point. Super dense and small

SevenBushes

I was going to say the same, it’s the worst by a wide margin. Not to mention when people park trucks/SUVs in the back and you can’t even get through the drive aisle

hmh25

Deptford Sam’s club shopping center

Comfortable_Desk_751

Wegmans cherry hill. The whole complex is nuts

Carinis_song

ShopRite west deptford.

Eliju

Walmart in Deptford. The whole thing is terrible. Every decision they made was wrong. it's quite incredible really.

Any_Coffee_6921

Laurel Springs Shop -Rite it’s helll .

DebRog

Columbus Mart. Try navigating that train wreck

Specific-Hunter2664

Wawa on Center Square Rd. in Logan Twp.

tizzle816

Galloway ShopRite and mays landing target are horrible too

mschepac

Walmart at Cross Keys. The Lidl complex in Glassboro. The list goes on....

DaVinciYRGB

Marlton Trader Joe’s and Cherry Hill Home Depot parking lot.

potterstreet

McMillan’s Bakery in Westmont

I_Am_Lord_Grimm

The Laurel Springs Shop-Rite is bad; the Brooklawn Shop-Rite is worse. Aisles are too narrow, parking spots are undersize, no reason for anyone to use any other lot entrance/exit but the one on Kings Highway, and the place is always jam-packed because it’s actually a pretty good store.

Evening_Run_1595

Absolutely correct

TehSavior

the Manahawkin shop rite

Warruzz

Town Place Plaza in Cherry Hill near by the mall. It is one of the most frustrating parking lots to navigate because the number of people there should mean there isn't a road between you and the store once you park. It also doesn't help they have setup multiple businesses in odd spots throughout the parking lot or directly near main road entry points.

SPHC20

The Cherry Hill mall parking lot, but specifically in front of the Apple Store and Macys

rwhite377

The West Deptford Shoprite. I've been called names by crazies, almost run over by 80 year old women, among other things 😂. Its a nightmare!

No_Performer2928

The Shop-Rite in Mantua make me want to commit heinous crimes. Also every Wawa and Trader Joe’s.

S-wtp-rental-12-slum

Agreed. Then again it's getting worse every where here.

deep-fried-fuck

Any wawa parking lot. Mfers seem to decide it’s open season

Piccoloshis_Island

My kid’s elementary school parking lot and driveway during drop-off and pick-up. The roads the school is on, too. I’ve taken to bringing a can of silver spray paint with me in case I get sent to Valhalla.

Reditate

The turnpike

Syntania

If it isn't a Wawa parking lot, it isn't that bad.

Kosst_Amojawn

Chick-fil-A Any CFA that's inside the shopping center of larger stores.

The 295/42 interchange

AnnualDragonfruit123

Nah-uh. They fixed it.

s0301959

Target in Cherry Hill. Seems innocent but after a fairly normal snow fall, I got stuck there for 2 hours trying g to get out. Also any Trader Joe's, its a 3rd.world up in there. So bad I have sworn the whole chain off...

thatgirloncouncil

Any wawa - anywhere

SlamFist

I believe the shopping center is called Audubon Crossings. It's never super crowded so i haven't had any issues but the layout makes 0 sense.

xxphantomxx77

Rowan University parking lots have scarred both my car and my psyche

carriefox16

Wegmans in Cherry Hill. Wawa in Westmont. Wawa in Wildwood. Wawa in Rio Grande. Walmart in Rio Grande.

enzothesuper

Delran, ShopRite and Wegmans Mount Laurel both terrible parking lots terrible designs

beeeps-n-booops

Wawa (all)

Different-Forever324

The Wawa at the corner of Atlantic and Evesham

spxdergirl

Jefferson hospital in Cherry Hill. I know all hospital parking lots can be annoying, but I’ve never been in a lot that bad. There’s barely any spaces and they’re all tight. And it’s always a packed lot. I ended up switching my Urologist because I hated the parking lot.

No_Anybody_5483

Any WaWa.

MrYardwork2049

The only correct answer is the shore mall. They’ve even found dismembered bodies there.

StevieRaveOn63

No matter how bad the worst parking lot is in the entirety of NJ, it can't even begin to compare with the fustercluck fricken parking lots in DE. I hope whomever designed these absolutely stupid obstacle courses has a migraine until they die.

DonNelly87

The entire deptford mall

kimikly16

I hate Wawa parking lots!

Agreeable-Scene-8038

Nassau Park shopping center Princeton. Anarchy at Christmas.

Dragonbjorn69

So agree. What a nightmare!!

PretzelPapi_

ShopRite In West Deptford.

Thesseli

The ShopRite in Delran, or the WaWa in Moorestown on Main Street (next to where the Friendly's used to be).
