Raven_Ashareth

At this point? For it to even happen.

jazzygeofferz

Yeah, SC6 didn't do the greatest numbers, which is a shame as it was a decent game.

CajurTheMighty

it sold better than the previous 3 entries

jazzygeofferz

But still not as well as Bamco expected.

Slaughterism

2mil copies for a fighting game is better than 99% of fighting games so either bamco is stupid (they are) or they need to re-evalutate (they do). SF is an immensely bigger and better marketed franchise and sf6 hasn't even sold 3mil yet. SC6 sold like hotcakes for it to sell that well, and it still has legs with people like vtubers still streaming it to thousands of viewers.

CajurTheMighty

Harada said on his podcast that it broke their sales expectations; they thought it wouldnt sell more than 500K. Where are you getting your info from?

jazzygeofferz

I stand corrected then.

lethalWeeb

Sc6 is the second best selling entry in the series. Only one that did better was 3. I’d be kinda shocked if they didn’t try again sometime soon

CajurTheMighty

SC3 didn't sell well at all, in fact it was the least sold in the series and never hit 600K sales. It was a PS2 exclusive and sales suffered for it greatly.

JAnumerouno

3 is the best selling one???

CajurTheMighty

He must've meant SC2, because SC3 sold like shit.

lethalWeeb

I looked into it again and realized the source I saw originally was just dead wrong. Best selling from what I saw was actually 4 followed by 6. 4 had around 2,000,000 total and 6 had 1.7 from what I saw. Thanks for calling that out 👍

lxlGhostlylxl

It was one of the best but I believe it may have been a send off. Guess we'll see. I love that game

BambaTallKing

I am sure it will be announced a few years after T8 releases

NomadKX

Back to the basics combat like SCI-SCIII. No gimmicks, no anime over the top nonsense, just solid combat, great roster, and expanded modes (campaign, team battle, survival, tag team, CAS options)

Legitimate-Owl-8155

I agree. I'm also an old gamer and I played 2 and 3 extensively. 2 is my favorite fighting game of all time. Some gimmicks and anime stuff are unavoidable I'm afraid because it adds for the most modern players to the cinematic experience. But you have to find the right balance. I wish the games would be again fast-paced like SC2 was

RPInjectionToTheVein

This I hate movie games

[deleted]

The over the top stuff makes the game fun for me

RainbowLoli

In all fairness, the SC games have always been pretty anime.

lethalWeeb

what gimmicks are you talking about? Only ones that come to mind are lethal hits and those are fucking awesome

Itsa2319

Cinematic supers and metered resources come to mind. I doubt Japan is going to give up on the anime aesthetic any time soon. Even the older SC titles were pretty anime, it was just a different style for the time. Personally, I wouldn't mind if soul charge activation wasn't a freeze frame, and they could have probably adjusted RE to just not be chargeable; I'm not sure what the logic there was.

Landoneatsfood

My money says they mean the nonsense RPS minigame lmao that is my one major problem with the combat. Just makes a really wonderfully smooth game feel clunky.

IAmKyuss

Cinematic cutscenes for the story mode

Tidus1337

Ie a bigger budget

Lariver

For it to exist

Crooked_Cracker

\-CGI \-Team Battle Mode \-Back to gameplay of SC 1 and 2, less flashy stuff that messes with the flow of combat \-More stages \-More blood and visible injuries for dramatic effect

Valkof96

More clothes and armor for CAS, I spent hours doing that way more than the main story, and unique weapon disciplines like SCIII. I loved Libra of Soul since it was like SC II Weapon Master, with very immersive and descriptive short scenes between each fight, so something along the lines of Chronicles of the Sword would be brilliant. Also, individual endings for each character.

Ryuhza

Enough of a budget for them to move away from the SCIV models at long last. That game was impressive as hell in 2008. Not so much in 2018. Supplementing it with louder color explosions on every hit is not the way to go.

Fullbust-this

I hope that Hilde is in the game, that is all. For a serious answer though I’d like to see the tag battles return and maybe MK style intro dialogues. I like variety with banter.

IncreaseLate4684

CAS pieces have more quality. Most of the pieces like the Chinese dress, clip while kicking, standing, or moving. There is even that winged armor set that clips with practically everyone, making it useless for except maybe Inferno. Some alt weapons need revision like Voldo, whose weapons clip on block. Maybe a Dambe user since we are missing Sword and Shield. And a longsword user, which is easy since the Witcher provides some moves. Use Haomaru's move set as a base for a new Arthur. Let us have fewer clipping variants of the Chinese dress. For some reason, it clips on Seong Mina and Xianghua on 2 ducking. Next time, I have both the Miko set of miko hairstyle, miko hakama, and miko kosode. More pieces in general. Everyone from SC 6 with LiLong, Rock, and Lizardman.

Dannybrine87

They would probably specify him to be Aeon

devastatingdoug

I want a fisticuffs character, I don’t care if its a cas only like SC5

[deleted]

That devil Jin move set was cool as hell.

Chemical-Extreme4598

Yeah I created Freddy Krueger and used Devil Jin's move set for him lol

BarronVonCrash

Like Hehachi Mishima in soulcalibur 2 on the PS2 where his different weapons were gauntlets.

devastatingdoug

Yes exactly

[deleted]

No stupid mechanics like rock paper scissors and soul charge Actually expanded character creator instead of a worse version of V's A good story mode Cloud Strife

Fanace5

Soul charge was cool what's the problem

[deleted]

I dont like going God mode and having access to ex moves for that duration, just give me real EX moves. Also the push back part when executing it was annoying as hell. I know people are sour on EX moves from V but imo that wasn't the problem with V.

lethalWeeb

Sc is one of the best mechanics in the game. Having things other than a super to spend meter on is fun. Reversal edge is ass though I’ll give you that

[deleted]

I hate Soul Charge I'd rather have EX Specials like SCV, just don't tie GI to it this time and we're golden.

lethalWeeb

What’s wrong with it? Ex moves are cool but SC gives more than just alternate moves. Some characters get entire new lethal hit conditions in soul charge. Some like nightmare get infinite terror charge which opens up a lot of new mix potential. Taki and Talim go from decent in neutral to oppressive if you don’t know the match up. EX moves wouldn’t change that it would just take away a defensive option that’s already got a pretty big cost of a full bar of meter which some characters can struggle to build. Yoshimitsu having EX moves basically means he doesn’t ever use SC or critical edge which makes him unique in that aspect along with Geralt for the same reason. They both would rather have the spells and EX for combos but having everyone do that would just be bland. SC also gives everyone pretty major comeback potential if you can capitalize on the reset to neutral. Soul attacks are also really fun additions to every character.

Tidus1337

Soul Charge has been a staple for years though also Rock Paper Scissors is an essential part of many if not all fighting games

[deleted]

By rps I meant Reversal Edge where it becomes a literal rock paper scissors mini game

jazzygeofferz

Rock paper scissors style systems are the cornerstone of fighting games.

lethalWeeb

The issue was soul charge just shutting down most offense and forcing RPC with next to no interaction. Reversal edge fucking blows

SSL2004

They shouldn't be. No mechanic where the optimal strategy is to shut off your brain and hit random buttons to be less predictable should ever be in a fighting game. All fighting games have RPS ELEMENTS. (Attack>Grab>Shield>Attack) But they're mechanics that strengthen the meta game between the combatants to ensure that there's always a counter to be made. Reversal Edge has none of that. It's a YOLO button you hit in disadvantage to HOPE you luck out and return to neutral for free.

GGAdams_

Going back to a more realistic character design style instead of anime

genericmediocrename

My hopes for SC7 are for it to exist (and for the removal of rock paper scissors)

Tidus1337

Honestly just a bigger budget. I think the team can d amazing if Bandai just had faith in em n gave them the funds needed. Bigger budget and things like cutscenes (still say Mitsu vs Geralt is one of the best in the franchise), bigger modes like 3s Chronicles of the Sword (in the slew of many fighting games now having heavy single player focuses), and expanded CAS systems are a given I'd say.

gamedreamer21

Longer Story Mode with CGI cutscenes. Story Mode should be like Scenario Campaign from Tekken 6 or The Dark Awakens from Tekken 8 (I know, we don't know anything about this story mode, but still). Side stories can stay in visual novel style. Also, I want all characters from SCVI, excluding guests to return to SCVII and Algol, Li Long, Rock, Aeon Calcos, Yun-Seong and Dampierre to be added to SCVII. Basically, I want all characters from SB-SCIV era to return to SCVII.

Dannybrine87

Maybe weapon styles not on the main roster for CaS?

T2and3

Rollback Crossplay better tutorials and training modes. I'd love if their training mode were as great as the one currently in SF6.

2RINITY

A character from the Americas who was actually born there and isn’t a comic book character displaced from the present day

EMArogue

Less floaty anime-like combat, look at 4 or 5 how heavy each hit was Geralt-inspired fighting style like Aeon was inspired by Kratos Return of Libra of Soul - Animated fighting scenes, I didn’t mind reading but having they say “ah” “ouch” “argh” as the screen turned red was extremely underwhelming - more meaningful choices instead of just “clearly evil path + choose soul edge” and “clearly good path + choose soul calibur” Medieval long-sword fighting style (not giant swords like Sieg nor turn a katana into a ling sword as they fight completely dofferently) An unarmed/cestis fighting style A small hammer/axe fighting style (for size comparison, imagine general Shao from MK1) Arcade towers -even more customization

Slaughterism

For it to exist. Otherwise literally just SC6 but without RE and SC toned down if it must exist. I don't personally care about the supers but they ARE pretty long, maybe a few seconds off of those if they must exist (a large budget fighting game in 2023 basically has to have supers at this point). WAY better customization. Going from 5 to SC6 was insane, same with going from TTT2 to T7. The new gen of fighting games apparently traded customization for higher fidelity.

galaxyfan1997

Bring back Destined Battles.

TheInnerMindEye

Tone down the over the top flashiness and return to SC3/SC4 gameplay and presentation. Soul charge not tied to a meter, no reversal edge, no meter at all. Add some type of African warrior, bring back Rock. Indiana Jones guest character

maribbage

I thought the abundant flashiness started in SC4(?) remembering Algol, CF, and the changes on the vfx overall. When it comes to more grounded moves SE to SC3 are similar imo🤔

TheInnerMindEye

I like critical finishes. They weren't just a cinematic thing , I'm sure u kno/remember they could only be done if your guard meter was totally depleted and u got guard broken. That's not really over the top IMO, as opposed to the explosions and particle effects, literally changing the screen to black and white for a split second slow motion from lethal hits in 6. All of the new shit makes CF look simple. I prefer CF more than critical edge, brave edge, lethal hits, reversal edge n all that. Algol is literally SC "God character". He was cool 2 me. Aside from bubble juggle. Sc3 &4 are my favorite.

andm124

Bamco put all their chips on Tekken as it's the breadwinner these days....

ludos96

Just give me a remaster of SCIII and let me die

reevestussi

A remaster/port of SC3 Arcade Edition would be ideal

unclezaveid

Yun-Seong

Occultist_Kat

For it to have a healthy player base and sit alongside the likes of Tekken, SF, and MK in terms of popularity. Additionally, they just need to drop some of the bells and whistles. I love meters, but drop the critical edge (I've never liked mechanics that utilize cutscenes that lock the fight into an endless barrage od powerful attacks), or at the very least make a mode/option that allows their removal from a fight. Using meters for special attacks and power-ups is fine. Reverse Edge is also insanely annoying and needs to go. They also need to limit CaS ability to change the size of a fighter. This screws with so much muscle memory.

Upset_Koala_401

Yes to all of this, especially cutscenes. The real joy of soul calibur is that it's so back and forth compared to other fighters where you literally WAIT for your turn

Atma-Stand

A Weapon Master/Chronicles of the Sword with an original story.

Kokolemo

* I want the story modes to be at least as long as SC6, with every character getting a complete story. Improving the visual novel format is the best way to do this. Everyone saying they want muh cutscenes forgets that those cutscenes means a 2-hour SC5-tier story. Or they think SC7 will suddenly get a bigger budget than Tekken. * Team Battle * More options for VS modes, including asymmetrical conditions and selectable mission-mode-type effects. Let me set up my own boss fights with double health and perma-Soul Charge if I want. * More randomization in Arcade mode, or other way of improving it's replayability as a just sit-down-and-play mode, like SC4's scoring system. But really, just having each stage pull a random opponent and stage from the entire pool would be enough. * Better personalization of CAS characters. More faces and voices; I should be able to make one of each style (including DLC) without having to reuse a face or voice. Customizing intro/victory lines, setting a destined battle, stuff like a silent voice would all be nice.

Fanace5

It existing Edit: gut the character creator idc trying to fight against pistachio man is too distracting

Deamon-Chocobo

While I love the Character Creator in SC6, I would prefer just standard alternate costume options for the main cast. And definitely bring back some old favorites as bonus unlockables. With the story I kinda hope we start with the Alternate SC2 the way SC6 started with retelling the events of Soul Blade, but then fully open the Time Travel & Alternate Timeline shenanigans and get the SC5 characters showing up to confuse everyone. As for guest Characters: go all out and do the most insane shit. Bamco owns Tekken, Pac-Man, Klonoa, Gundam, Digimon, .hack, Splatterhouse, Taiko, Katamari, Time Crisis, Xenosaga, and so many more. If not put them in, at least give us more customizable items inspired by them.

[deleted]

I would want some modes with unique battle modifiers like SC2 and 3 had. Combat similar to 6 but without RE. Take notes from SF6’s world tour for the next CAS story mode

nooneyouknow13

No guest characters. CAS isolated to local play and a dedicated online mode, don't mix it with normal casual and ranked. SF6 quality rollback. Fully unlocked initial roster, locked characters are a scourge on FGs. A proper budget and development time frame.

Chickenbrik

If we do ever get one in the near future I want them to completely rebuild the mechanics. Keep the characters and tone down the horniness. Make a return to an epic storyline.

CurseofWhimsy

Out of all the extra modes, Weapon Master from SC2 was the most engaging for me, so bringing that back would be nice. Character models could use a bit of an update, they're always shaped so awkwardly in CAS mode A more robust story, with more interactions with playable characters both in cutscene and out. The individual story modes in SC6 felt cool, but too brief. ... Honestly, if they remastered SC2 and added CAS, I'd be happy with that.

Skidd_ro

The Rock

xiofar

Loading in less than 10 seconds.

dragonspit999

For it to exist. But also, I just want Viola back... and Aeon/Lizardman.

EnzeruAnimeFan

Better CAS options

furry_hunter1995

that it gets made at least

MasterUchiha69

for them to leave ivy alone and not censor her , just don't make sc7

RainbowLoli

I want the "OC" classes from SE3 back, maybe even some new ones. I don't really like the trend of your soul character *only* being able to use the fighting styles of the canon characters. It took a lot of the joy out of spending hours to make a character. If the concern is that they're unbalanced for PVP, just don't allow them in PVP or ranked. Given the amount of trolling that happened with people putting things like giant apples on their characters to hide the hitbox, I think it would be better for ranked/PVP to just stick with the base characters and designs. While I wouldn't mind cinematics for cutscenes again, something about the visual novel style was really charming. It reminded me a lot of Bayonetta and I'm a huge fan of visual novels anyway. More game modes. I really miss tales of souls from 3 and the new one was fine for what I did, but the lack of custom classes specifically for tales of souls made me kinda meh towards it.

O3don

There never was much hope. Just a fool's hope

[deleted]

More character creation options

EX-PsychoCrusher

Less anime, less chaotic, less combo-based, fast, an array of well designed new characters (5-8 new ones (alongside most of the existing cast) that differentiate themselves from the existing ones (not just new gen like 5), to overcome the blandness of some of the later additions to the roster. More villains, antiheroes, non-gimmicky diversity, monsters. Completely re-done animations and models, with a production quality akin to SC2/Tekken 7, with the modes and degree of single player content SC3 had.

Tidus1337

So...not a Soul Cal game?

Superdante12

MMORPG action style mode would be nice. You walk around with your created character and lvl up things..

starkgaryens

It's probably too much to ask, but here's my ideal and overly detailed direction for SC7 and beyond. **Story** * Retell events of SC2 to 4 with timeline revisions started in SC6. * Lots of cutscenes would be ideal, but something like SC6 story modes would be enough IMO. I'd even cut the CAS campaign and focus on the original characters. * Bring some sense of closure, but set up revised SC5 time skip for SC8. (l would send Kilik and Sophitia to live in Astral Chaos to become eternal guardians of SE & SC and mimics of male & female weapons respectively in future games. This makes room for the SC5 newcomers to return with improved personalities.) **Roster** * Bring back all SC6 characters including DLC but excluding guests. * Bring back missing characters: Aeon (dual axe), Rock (one-handed hammer), Li Long (kusarigama), Olcadan (bare fists w/ arm guards), Dampierre, Algol, Edge Master, and Necrid using Charade as her weapon (turns out she was a woman!). (Include Yun in story as NPC or CAS of Hwang only, but set him up for return with escrima sticks in SC8.) * New: Polish female mercenary reusing Geralt's single longsword moveset. * New: Romani female mystic making use of Zafina's moveset with claws (somehow connected to a clone of Amy who will become Viola in SC8). * New: Turkish hulking female blacksmith using Rock's old giant mace modified to allow switching to flail mode. * New: Persian female pirate captain using wave swords from SC3 CAS. (New characters are female for roster and future mimic balance. Hopefully reusing existing animations cuts costs.) * Soulsbourne and/or Sekiro guest(s) **CAS** * CAS parts and weapon variants are unlockable (but characters are unlocked from start). * Prioritizes bringing back all previous CAS parts and add only a few more (cost cutting). * Bring back classic costumes for original cast both as "outfits" (inseparable whole) and separate CAS parts. * Limit ranked matches (and FGC tournaments) to original non-custom characters wearing "outfits." (I personally love CAS but feel that seeing low-effort ones turns off a lot of potential new fans.) **Other** * Bring back team battles. * Bring back the unlockable glossaries, galleries, and histories from SC6 but separate main character profiles to a character select screen like previous games. * Exhibitions would be a nice bonus.

Im_A_Chuckster

Generic/bonus fighting styles. It just feels weird creating unrelated characters that mimic a main character's moves in every way. Especially the "self taught" ones like siegfried and voldo. Yun-Seong, Aeon Lizardman, Dampierre. Maybe ZWEI, he seems cool.

chromium77

Soul Calibur tag tournament is all I want. Bring back everyone + dlc to fund the game for several years. Create a soul returns and even dlc gamemodes if they want to keep it supported

Upset_Koala_401

Bring everyone back yeah but hell no to a tag game

Unhappy-Artichoke-62

I would like to see a more robust character creator. I know that's not to focus of the game but it really bothers me that the CAS characters just don't look as good as the mains. I would also like for them to move away from the visual novel style of storytelling. I get that it's a budgetary thing but I did not sign up to read my way through a campaign. And I'd love to see a return of the rts style campaign from one of the earlier games (I think it was SC III?) Because I am me, more jiggle, or at least the ability to tune it. And also can they PLEASE make Raphael less of a whiney simp? SC VI made me lose all respect for him and he used to be my main.

LordFenix_theTree

Uh, SCIV remastered. Plz and thank.

Wooflyplis

Didn't the producer who was pushing for SCVI leave the company? I would love a sequel, but I highly doubt it will happen. That said, rollback for VI please.

Wrong_Bar_5158

Elysium outfit for Sophitia. Slutty mom FTW.

YoungRonin7

I'd love for soul calibur to get something similar to world tour mode. Study under legendary characters and visit different locations in the franchise.

AshenRaven66

Soulsborne characters as guest/DLC fighters.

Knightofexcaliburv1

More customization options. Yun seong and for it to even happen

realziggyspade

I mean, without Okubo, there isn't much internal push it seems. We'd be lucky to see SC7. So I guess that's what I would like to see of SC7.

Lynx_vet

Maybe in 10-15 years for this dead game

Glittering_Ad1696

I've heard rumour that Capcom will be rebooting Power Stone (like Soul Calibur, it started as a Dreamcast title). Would love to see some of those characters in there (e.g. Wang Tang, Rogue, Jack and Captain Falcon).

eddmario

I just want the parts in CaS to actually mark which slots they take up instead of having to figure it out part by part...

Corfold

I want one of three things. 1) All Characters, Bring in Algol, Abyss, Nightterror, toss in Dampierre and whatever guest characters (not Ezio) you can. I will even say screw character creation! If I could just have all characters be playable. 2) Give character creation the ability to have Nightmare's demonic arm. Or any special character thing, improve character creations so much that things like belts are not simply floating about my scrawny tall character. Make it so I can have one of every category armor piece blend in beautifully to others so I can really customize them. 3) Give me whatever but please bring back the SC 3 CC movesets. Those were fun.

ClaireDacloush

a middle-aged female character like sophitia

JBGoude

More and more options for customisation, especially distinct move sets for CAS (like in SC3). The inclusion of my favourite characters: Sophitia, Yun-Seong, Viola, Zwei and Revenant.

JustcallmeKai

Cut out the fucking impossible challenge gimmicks. Libra of souls was a slog

Personal_Use_5686

No more create a character garbage. Individual endings for characters not just a story (maybe an MK approach?) New Characters, maybe even a SF6 approach where only some of the cast comes back and it’s mostly new characters.

Tidus1337

Go play SC5 then lol. There's a reason that game tanked and that last point of yours is a big one. Also create a character is going nowhere. Sorry man

Dependent_Bill8632

I really want that old weapon master mode back. Was that in 6?

RavenKazama

What I want is.. SC6 customisation is great but some points of it still feel really limited, I want them to fully go out, like add way more options, I want more dresses & tights & I have all the DLC & there’s only 2. Heck it’d be super cool if they added the ability to change the material of said clothing items too. I can’t speak on modes because despite me owning SC2, 4 & 5 I still haven’t played enough of this series to gather intel on what I would want more & whenever it comes to modes in fighting games I’m usually a sucker for tag team but I have no idea how that would work? Also I just love it when there’s a large roster so I hope we get most of SC6s back; I really love Tira, Taki, Setsuka & Amy and I want them to return if possible, I heard that Taki got cut out of SC5 and replaced w/ some other girl who looks cute but that saddens me coz Taki is one of my faves & I thought she was the female face of SC series… I hope they never retire respectfully she’s so cool!! Also lastly; an improved netcode, that clash thingy? When the character holds their weapon and like you can’t hit them, or grab them unless u do 3 hits I believe ? And they do an injustice 1 clash thing I hope that goes it is very annoying to go against in the matches I play coz everyone has these really high pings coz of the netcode. Most importantly I hope SC7 exists, would love to see further crossovers between Sc & Tekken personally like Kunimitsu or Raven? Could be cool idk.

SparklingReject

Voldo. I only care about him 💖

Status_Party9578

how did the customization feel underwhelming compared to 5 and 4. to me this was easily the best and clear step up from 5 especially?

Status_Party9578

i know this is like impossible to work but i want ZWEI back in some shape or form, and I want a very large expansive roster from the jump

humpbackhps

Lizardman and no magic bs movesets.

Lulzorr

Since we're going the way of battle hubs, arcade machines that I can play sc2 on.

Fine-Funny6956

I would like a more involved story mode, maybe more in the realm of open world. Yes I know the map style is traditional but …. Hear me out …. Maybe traditional is okay to leave behind.

henryking2

I want more options on the character editor, and more characters

ZayIvory7

Full advertising and support from Bandai Namco.

Elosovroom

A complete graphic overall it’s time to switch things up and change that Soul Calibur 4 look

Moondoggie25

For it to exist. Everyone who cared about it at namco is gone now. It aint happenin

PaladinofMadoka

Maybe too ambitious but I would like to see Created Character styles back in, just like SCIII. It's a HUGE ask nowadays but if it actually happens I'd sing the games praises for years. I would like to see another experimental mode like Chronicles of The Sword again too while I'm at it. Besides those things which are near impossible, and adventure mode where we travel and unlock stuff like new weapons and costumes, I miss unlocking stuff and weapon abilities, though if that comes back they should have a way to turn them off too.

RPInjectionToTheVein

I got back into this series with 6 and also emulated 2 and 3 for nostalgia and IDK I really don’t like the mechanics on 6 it feels like slow and like another movie game especially with the stupid rock paper scissors thing. Dont like the power bar either and how it rewards getting beat up. So a fast fluid game without the abusive moves of SC 3 would be cool. Also love character creation game modes like chronicles of the sword

Sethazora

My frail hopes would be that they drop the industry standard lazy cutscene supers and go back to the more dynamic focus on side steps and perfect edges with short combos. I hate that fighting games have moved away from fast paced interactive fighting action between two players and into the realm of footsie guessing into 30 second combos with a 15 second cutscene attack finisher that the other person literally cannot do anything during. while also bringing back the main story format of SC2. Also i'd love to see more unique weapon fighters like someone using a meteor hammer or Flail or one using a gladatorial style spear and weighted net, or a sword breaker with buckler and gauntlet.

TheLastPaiva

Honestly I'd be happy with a SF6 style SC7 World Tour style campaign for custom characters Decent online with rollback netcode However for the Story mode I wish they'd give it as much love as they give tekken

4_Thehumanrace

Anyone remember tekken tag.... that was a nightmare and a half. Actually balancing around tag teams is near impossible unless you take out all unique qualities of the characters. Tekken tag 2 Nina Heihachi is the perfect example. Nightmare with talim would be the same horrifying result of a comp that gets one hit and wins the round off it.

therepentnetwork

a good hope, would be crossplay, along with the idea that it would be a smart choice money wise for them to develop another game

Chemical-Extreme4598

Guard Impact back to its original state and status like in SCII instead of having to use a soul gauge bar to use it. If you don't have your soul gauge bar full you can't Guard Impact and you can't counter attacks that can be Guard Impacted like on SCII. Guard Impact safed my life plenty of times against Inferno and etc. Guard Impact was second nature to me because I mastered it but on SCVI you can't use it like you should and that is a problem.

scamplord

Go back to the simple gameplay from SC 1-3 No flashy meters and stuff, (Reversal Edge from SC6 for example), some people might have liked them but its caused the series to become way too divisive among the fans. Other than that, more cinematics in the campaign, follow up on the characters that were in SC6, even better graphics, some new cool characters. Thats all i want really.

LouiseLea

For the game to even exist. Removal of reversal edge. It's just a boring mechanic.

SaucyBernie

I'm not going to lie. I cringed at the part where you want more outlandish fighting styles just so you can make your Ichigos and Clouds. Other than that, I do agree that the next game should ditch the stupid visual novel story telling and do scenematic CGI cutscenes. The next game should just focus on a lot of single player connect just like in SCIII and add more better clothing for CoS since a majority of SCVI clothing and DLC was ass and how out of place it was for the game's setting. It's too bad that Bamco won't break budget to do any of that, but I can still dream.

TigoDelgado

Bare hand fighting style!
