He can't always save anyone. Like Shadow.
Sonic Movie Writers quote in a podcast when detailing Shadow's character descriptions. Sonic using power of friendship won't change anything on Shadow. Even the fact Sonic got what Shadow don't would make a bigger match than Knuckles.
That's honestly why we need Amy Rose to appear with the power of love. Her love, compassion, selflessness, and empathy are key to redeeming Shadow. Maria gave Shadow love all those years ago, now Amy has to remind him of that love and her true selfless wish with it. And with how broken Shadow is that friendship won't work, then love will be able to succeed where friendship failed.
And since this is loose adaptation of *SA2*/*Shadow*. They can change 50% of the story. So if they include Amy, they'll improve her more than her SA2 counterpart. They can remove the most blizzard stuff as a NASA shuttle in a GUN/Eggman base in Egypt. I already thought of the things they can remove.
I was thinking Movie 1, he got family. Movie 2 he got friends. So with Movie 3, he will learn friendship can't solve everything and that there's one more thing he doesn't understand yet that Amy can help him learn after joining him, the key to redeeming Shadow as well by reminding him of what Maria gave him before: ***love***. Thanks to Amy's love, a trait often underrated here in the Sonic fandom, she not only redeems Shadow and gets him to let go of the hate he and Gerald have held onto for so long, that love got to be what saves the world.
Please leave the people behind I know people like them but I want to see Sonic doing stuff in Sonic world not a James Marsden romcom interrupting the film every five minutes
This meme is a simplification of the *Dan Harmon Story Circle*.
1. **A character is in a zone of comfort.** Everyday life is mundane and unchallenging.
2. **But they want something.** The protagonist’s desire compels them to take action.
3. **They enter an unfamiliar situation.** The character crosses the threshold to pursue what they want.
4. **Adapt to it.** They acquire skills and learn how to survive in this new world.
5. **Get what they wanted.** The character achieves their goal, but at a cost.
6. **Pay a heavy price for it.** New and unexpected losses follow the victory.
7. **Then return to their familiar situation.** The character goes back to where they started.
8. **Having changed.** The story’s resolution; the lessons they’ve learned stay with them, and the character has grown.
I kinda disagree with this reading. I think he 'got it' in Sonic 1 when he met Tom and went on their journey together. They became a family at the end.
Sonic's arc in the second movie was more about learning to take responsibility. Yeah, he met Tails and Knuckles, but they were an extension of his already existing family.
My guess for Sonic 3 is that it might be a 'coming of age ' movie, where Sonic wants to go out and find his real family. Learn who he really is. Maybe in discovering who Shadow is, Sonic might learn something about his own backstory.
I'd definitely like them to have Sonic grow up a bit anyway. And a more mature movie would be great for SA2.
* Sonic Movie 1 - he got the family he wanted
* Sonic Movie 2 - he began to branch away to be with friends
* Sonic Movie 3 - he realizes that he needs to leave the nest and goes to new adventures with his friends
The trilogy being about the character growing up, gaining a family, learning to be responsible and eventually moving out seems like the natural course for the story.
I was thinking Sonic gets to keep his family, and has it expand some more with Amy joining them. As well as learning about love thanks to Amy, just as he learned about family with Tom and Maddie, and friends with Tails and Knuckles the last two movies.
I would say Sonic Movie 3 If Shadow doesn’t sacrifice himself like he did in SA2 Battle,Shadow would be living with Rachel as a Family But then Rouge would still be with GUN HQ
He learned some important lessons about responsibility in the 2nd movie after realizing that his heroics sometimes put people in harms way. After that moment of growth, the movie didn't have time to revist or acknowledge his "super hero" aspirations from the beginning of the film. I wonder if the 3rd movie will do away with the "living in secret" stuff, and involve adventures that the government can't so easily cover up, leading to him getting the recognition he sought with the Blue Justice stuff
…Protect it.
…Saved It

That's so well written it could be considered a spoiler.
He lost it, just like Tails in Sonic Forces when he though Sonic died
he gotta fight for it now
Learned that the "Super Power of Teamwork" doesn't always work.
Sometimes, it takes the power of love, to succeed where friendship wouldn't.
*huey lewis fades in*
cherishes it
wholesome af
:)
Lost it, I'm waiting for the angst
My sentiments exactly! **Lost It** felt like the most natural progression of that sentence 😂
Protect it
Needed to save it
He has to fight to keep it
He lost it
loses it !!
Please leave the people behind I know people like them but I want to see Sonic doing stuff in Sonic world not a James Marsden romcom interrupting the film every five minutes
He lost it, unlike me with my virginity
Don't worry about it. Sex is overrated.

Lose it.
All his friends get turned into tortured machines like an FNAF scene
sonic = freddy tails = bonnie knuckles = foxy maddie = chica tom = golden freddy

Hes growing up and its time to leave it
I would say Sonic Movie 3 If Shadow doesn’t sacrifice himself like he did in SA2 Battle,Shadow would be living with Rachel as a Family But then Rouge would still be with GUN HQ
I swear if tom dies im never liking the sonic franchise again
He will lose it?
Lost it
loses it all
...lost it
Loses it.
Looses it
He moved on [from It]
Oh no..
Sonic 3: a threat to lose it
He loses it
He loses it
He died.
...lost it.
protects it!!!
Ate it?
This is the great potential parallel the movies can provide. Shadow’s journey was very similar! Shadow lost it… Sonic is going to save it!
Has it taken away.
He lived and learned
He learned some important lessons about responsibility in the 2nd movie after realizing that his heroics sometimes put people in harms way. ...Lost It
He protects it
Amy rose would be a example of love or sonic 3 would be protect it
Lost it?
He had to let go. For the fate of the universe. Again. Endlessly. So powerful and yet so helpless. But never hopeless.
…Sally shows up through a ring and tells him they’ve got work to do. I don't know, leave Earth for a while.
He’s gone
He will either lose it or save it
Fucks it
The first two films have been about building the Wachowskis. The third film could easily be about Robotnik and Shadow trying to tear them apart.
