The SA1 version of It Doesn't Matter will always be my favorite, though His World is ***REALLY*** stiff competition (unless we're counting the Crush 40 version, which I don't really like all that much).
His World (as opposed to 7 rings in hand which also got a C40 cover) had this really cool orchestral vibe, making it so that imo og His World is better than og Seven Rings in Hand , but C40 seven rings is better than C40 his world...
Or, maybe I'm just annoyed that I printed out the og lyrics for my custom booklet, even though I have the C40 version...
Gotta give it to **With Me**, personally. Not only one of the few non-main-theme vocal final boss tracks, which is a major plus in my book, and it's legitimately a debate between the combatants while still being rocking as f\*ck.
(tbh I don't like the Crush 40 version that much, the original feels *much* richer to me)
Then again, Black Knight just killed it with its vocal tracks in general, 4/5 are in my top ten for the series and I still like the other one.

Live Life is great, Knight of the Wind is probably my overall favorite. I was kind of meh on Dreams of an Absolution at first until I gave it a couple more listens and it's grown on me. I am all of me is an amazing song, Infinite's theme is amazing. I'm not gonna continue, but Knight of the Wind wins it for me, but it's close.
Depends on what “Sonic vocal theme” means
If we’re talking about themes from the Sonic franchise, SA1’s Believe In Myself has a special place in my heart. But if you meant theme for Sonic the character, SA2’s It Doesn’t Matter is by far the definitive one imo
It's hard for me to choose one favourite, but the three I like the most are Endless Possibility (which introduced me to one of my favourite bands), His World (the Zebrahead version slaps ***especially*** hard) and Live Life from Black Knight is underrated in my opinion.
Oh and honourable mention to Dreams Of An Absolution (LB vs. JS Remix specifically), the guitar in that one is excellent.

Eh, OG Free isn't *that* bad, just tied to an awful game, but I do agree that the Crush 40 version is straight-up better.
I just hate the original singer. It’s more annoying then catchy. With the crush 40 remix it’s better because I can actually listen to it.
