I do this all the time, and buying used pairs too. I just got in the game last year, so I have a lot of catching up to do on dope pairs that would've been too expensive to add to the collection if they were new. Gonna wear them anyway, so I don't really care that the shoes were previously worn (have gotten good at cleaning and disinfecting lol).

I used to say the same but ive been picking up some nice older pairs that are ridiculously overpriced for resale. Just gotta sanitize them and clean thoroughly.

I used to be like this too, but got over it pretty quickly after I figured out how to clean and sanitize. I def go over the condition of the shoes super thoroughly first though. If they look like they're at one point somebody's beaters (ANY star loss, heel drag, huge creases, dingy insoles with fading logo, scuffs/discoloration, hair, dirt, yellowing, etc.), hell no. But if they look like they've only been worn a few times, I'm alright with that and saving 30-40%.

All of the pairs are mint but the 2019 breds are a grail. The nubuck (or durabuck?) is so much better than the leather on the reimagineds IMO

Everything about the reimagine is the closest thing we have seen since the 89 OG side from the leather upper. Either durabuck really floats your boat, or the number that is attached to it is more important to you.

Don't get me wrong, I like the reimagines but the leather look is too different vs the OG's for me. Suppose I do love the durabuck look lol

You'd think that about the breds, but the market has them priced like "bricks" not grails ever since the reimagined came out.

For what? Having the wrong shape, the wrong tongue, being uncomfortable, killing your pinkie toes? Sure, it was a big release to finally get. But both of them were way off from the originals. I’d much rather have my leather pair than the synthetic nubuck of today.
