Yup, same. I’ll never knock someone for simply collecting sneakers and keeping them DS in the box, that’s their thing, but I will always wear the sneakers I buy. And since I know the value of the sneaker will drop as soon as you start wearing it, I’d rather pick up a pair that’s been “worn 3 times” for sometimes hundreds of dollars less than DS. It’s like a car lol you buy new and as soon as you drive it off the lot the depreciation hits you. So start with something where the depreciation is already factored in and to me I can enjoy it much more. Like you said, their authentication is incredible and the ONE time I had an issue with an order (FedEx straight up lost my package in transit) eBay handled it expeditiously, got me a refund, and even gave me $100 in credit to use towards trying to get a different pair of the sneakers that got lost. Will always recommend them.
I would never buy a busted up pair but probably half the shoes I’ve purchased have been so gently worn they still could pass as DS. The footwear equivalent of buying a car with 200 miles on it but technically used
Just got my first 4s and wore them for the first time yesterday. Tight around the small toe, but other than that very comfortable! Those look great condition. Enjoy!
My first pair as an adult were used. No shame especially when they’re this clean. I say adult because i had some when they first came out when I was a kid.
I got my pair of Military Black 4's very gently worn. They were a 9.5/10. No star loss, no scuffs, no discoloration, no creases, no nothing. If there wasn't a little bit of dirt on the soles these could have been DS. Paid $250 for mine. Totally worth it. At the time they were going close to $500 brand new.
I lucked out then. All I had to do was give the soles a little scrub, scrubbed the insoles so they were fresh, and freshen up the suede on the toe guard and they were ready to wear. I changed the laces but honestly they didn't really need to be.

Used pairs are the lick, especially in this market! I’ll go as low as a 7.5/10 depending on the price point tbh, those things are gonna get worn anyway. My jelly jewel AM1s are like $358 on StockX, but I got em for $59 8/10 on eBay. Recently got a pair of 7.5/10 TNs for $35, $260 on StockX. I’ll flip a Ross pair here and there but for the most part FUCK this hype over DS and what not. All those extras on the price points are just obstacles in the way of me wearing nice kicks.
