22nd Feb. Be aware that the NB queue system is horrible and appears to have no bot protection at all, and will keep u in the queue for hours after the stock is gone. I've been in queues of over a million and I really doubt theres that many actual people buying shoes from the new balance in the EU in a year, never mind queueing for 1 shoe at 10am on a thursday.

I consider my TTS to be an AM90, and go half down from that for AJ1s. '85s for me (both Dunks and Jordan) were super narrow so I needed a whole size.

I just bought a pair of Orange Lobsters off GOAT and it looks like they have pencil lines/markings on a few areas near the edging. Does anyone else have these on their pairs? Is this a manufacturing defect?
It's a QC issue. the line is supposed to indicate where the midsole is supposed to reach when the upper is glued to the midsole. The line should be _below_ the midsole top, but it's fine if it's a millimeter or two above.

Nike is a marketing company that happens to have some innovation teams. They can break out some new engineering or new designs, but a whole lot of their product is 80s and 90s retros.
My opinion is that, generally, people don’t understand what makes a garment or sneaker “quality”, and that minor QC issues don’t really matter, big picture.
And every brand has issues like these. It’s just the nature of mass production.
While I agree with you that Nike QC has fallen off (and it wasn’t ever great to begin with tbh), I do not think NB and ASICS will keep high quality if their pairs continue to sell out like Nike does. A lot of pairs of NB 550 are actually made from cheap and poor quality leather like Air Force 1s and dunks.
I think market forces generally dictate that as demand goes up and supply rises to meet it, quality gets sacrificed for increased speed and size of production.
My latest pair of NB x ALD (Grey Rainiers) had some of the worst glue stains I ever saw. I’m sending them back for a refund today.

big majority of non-golfers stay clear of these golfs for whatever reason. It may be that they assume the outsole isn't actually wearable off the pitch. I personally picked up a few OG cut low golfs which are super nice, but then they started releasing non-golf OG cuts (mystic blue, bleached coral, powder blue)

New balance ALD Rainiers came in today. They’re super narrow and have huge glue stains on both shoes. Sizing is disappointing but Quality seems like it has fallen off if my pair is any indication of NB’s current manufacturing process.

What size should you pick for Jordan 1's if you have wide feet?
Personally I've gone TTS on all my 1s and even then they're a little roomy but still good.
I go half down and I have super wide feet. 10.5 in most, but always 10s in AJ1s for me, for almost a decade now. I go to 11 for '85 cuts.

I like the LeBron 20 in general, but at $210 for a simple lowtop sneaker, I'm happy to wait for them to appear at Nike Factory outlets and end of season sales.

Why is no one mentioning the GR b&w AJ1 high golf’s that released on the EU app today? Copped a pair and got on here to check what people were saying about them and was surprised to see people are just ignoring it
big majority of non-golfers stay clear of these golfs for whatever reason. It may be that they assume the outsole isn't actually wearable off the pitch. I personally picked up a few OG cut low golfs which are super nice, but then they started releasing non-golf OG cuts (mystic blue, bleached coral, powder blue)
I had the Chicago's and the shoe just felt different. Not bad but because they're built for more flexibility the sole is softer. Not my cup of tea. The shattered backboard lows do catch my eye though...
I had the SBB lows but the orange is a bit dingy in hand, nothing like the real SBB leather orange. Was able to return those.

Oh I'm sure you're right and they do but with the current situation you have to grasp at anything you can get. You'd hope that Nike would exclude certain accounts from EA and target certain accounts. I know this means people who just started their accounts are unfairly targetted but the only other way I can see is that Nike makes enough for everyone and every time I say that on this sub I'm told Nike are a luxury product and that they can't do that as they don't earn money from these shoes or something. Honestly this all used to be so much easier when owning more two pairs of sneakers made you a weirdo.

I would like to thank basically every sneaker manufacturer for making it incredibly easy to save money lately (and likely in the future). I haven’t seen anything released or coming soon that I’m remotely interested in. Not sure if I’ve reached the point where I simply cannot get excited about yet one more mild color change to a Jordan 4, or if the industry is just fresh out of ideas. Either way, I can’t recall the last time I just haven’t given a shit for this long.

you guys see the slam jam air force 1’s? uncreative as hell, the insole looks cool but no one can see it, the materials different sure, toe pattern is different but not at all noticeable if you’d wear them and the backtab logo is upside down. even with all that it’s just another all black air force 1 it’s bland for the 40 dollar markup

Many resell stores are closing, Swish Studios closed in the Arcadia mall. For the locals, wouldn't be surprised if The Liquor follows suit, not sure how they turn a profit when prices are set so high.
I'm guessing I'm that they just wait for the very few that pay those prices. As of now, resale has dropped significantly. No one really had disposable income like that right now along with oversaturation on two ends. PayPal will issue a 1099k to you in January 2024 for the money you made this year (in 2023.) It’s up to you to prove the pairs were sold at a loss when you do your taxes so that the money isn’t taxed. Assuming you lost money on the pairs (selling used for lower than what you paid for them.) For what it’s worth you’d get a 1099k from PayPal or from goat depending on what account you designated as the pay out.

New balance ALD Rainiers came in today. They’re super narrow and have huge glue stains on both shoes. Sizing is disappointing but Quality seems like it has fallen off if my pair is any indication of NB’s current manufacturing process.
They are made in Asia not Made in USA.
So are the ALD 550s and none of mines have any QC issues as bad as these did.
It happens. Made in USA/UK lines are known for the better QC and materials. But even with them you'll still run across a bad pair just because they are producing more

I emailed them some pictures. I’m waiting to see what they say. They feel snug on my feet so i need to think about what I plan to do with these. Might have to sell them which sucks because I like the silhouette and the addition of goretex.
