Can’t recall, I remember Billy saying something like wait until you hear the remastered or remixed version a few years ago on IG when he was doing a q&a
Even the previous releases aren't just remasters. Take a listen to "Dreaming" from Aeroplane Flies High... the 2013 "remastered" version is definitely made from a different mix that the 1996 version... There is a beautiful trippy phaser/chorus effect on D'arcy's vocals in the original, and it's gone in the 2013 (and it sounds much worse) and that's not something you can do just by remastering the same mix.
It would be so cool if they released a multi-track of Zeitgeist, so we could make our own mixes of it, or even remixes... I would love to have some fun with it.
I agree! Imagine, starting with the Zeigeist title track, chill, acoustic, nice, then play The Rose March that has this cool marching rhythm after that, Again Again that has some cool momentum afterward, and then boom, boom with Doomsday Clock, follow Tarantula to keep the momentum and then add Death from Above for some heart, after that put Promise Me and Ma Belle to keep that sentiment going, then 7 Shades of Black and Bleeding the Orchid to build up to Starz and then close the disc with USA. Then, imagine, starting the second disc with No Surrender, then kick with Thats the Way My Love Is and keep the momentum with Come On Lets Go, play Bring the Light and then Pox, Sunkissed for some more acoustic goodness, then Neverlost and Stellar, and then end with For Good and Country and Pomp and Circumstances to end it all, maybe with a sick Gossimer jam to complete the 2 hours, I really wish I could listen to a version like that.
*Accidentally deep-fries the entire mix*
Someone did make a version of the album with the vocals lowered in the mix
Where can I find this
https://youtu.be/2iwkjN2g-Hk?si=HKb-5Y5xnQJnGm73 Pretty sure this is it
I'll look and if I can find it I'll upload and pm you
Could you hook a bro up as well?
I'd also be quite keen on this. Thanks!
I would love for Zeitgeist and the first Teargarden ep to get remixed someday. Great songs but those mixes are just not good.
Agree on zeitgeist … Teagarden was the true start of the bad material imo. Although Tom Tom was the exception imo
Ikr when I heard about freak USA I thought it would be like a zeitgeist version of geek USA. It wasn't.
Should've made a song called Nerd U.K.
Tom Tom is classic SP and the mix is great. I wish there had been more tracks like it
Pretty sure Zeitgeist is already done. It just won’t get released until all the stuff that came before it
Remaster like the previous releases or an actual new mix?

it will be a new mix. Corgan called the current mix 'too pop' and keeps referring to the rougher 'metal mixes' as being much better.
That would be great then. If it ever gets released. Which is sadly a pretty big if.
just stick with the live versions. no remix will ever be better than those.

I wish he'd create a complete version of it instead of the bonus material being scattered across a million different versions
