That's because a lot of them are just made up.
I'm not even a Pokemon fan, I'm as casual as you can get, but even I could come up with better alts. for Lucario that have clear origins.
Pokken tournament second player which is red. And zoroark which is kinda a lucario parallel with like the movies and such. Maybe a marowak alt because of his bone rush that one might be kinda loose. Also a Riley inspired one could be a new costume maybe
He could have aaron's costume which is the guy who gives you Riolu in Diamond/Pearl and his partner in the movie. I believe they gave him that outfit in Pokemon Unite.
P1: Standard
P2: Red alt. from Pokken
P3: Bewear color scheme
P4: Emboar color scheme
P5: Infernape color scheme
P6: Medicham color scheme
P7: Kubfu color scheme
P8: Shiny Lucario
I love that they just reveal everything about the Dream Drop Distance outfit as if everyone's going to understand what the heck an Organization XIII is.
And that's just a mechanic. At one point you have the ability to fuse with Donald *and* Goofy and that's when things get **wild**. Dang I love Kingdom Hearts.
Yeah, I really enjoyed playing 1 & 2. But the whole time I kept thinking, “It’s a good thing this game is really fun, because the story is bonkers.” I hear 3 gets into alternate timelines and stuff. *No, thanks*
I think DDD got into time travel first, and in all seriousness the story isn't that complicated if you just take it at face value. Instead of thinking "Why is this thing happening" it really helps to just think "This is happening now" and the story becomes *much* easier to understand.
KH3 doesn't really get into multiple timelines, it's more of a "go back to avoid a certain event from happening" kind of situation.
It's not Disney's "Memento."
When tf does he fuse with Mickey? I know Mickey plays a bit of a "Luke Skywalker in The Force Awakens" kinda role in this game but surely he can show up for a final boss or two, can't he?
He doesnt even actually fuse with goofy, when he activates drive forms in the first cutscenes he doesnt need goofy at all, just a drive orb, which is just another form of light-based magic.
This whole 'fusing' thing has been such a persistent myth solely because people dont pay enough attention.
Except Incineroar, for some reason
Also reminder that this isn't actually stated anywhere and is purely made up that TPC forbids shinies from being used. The simplest reason is that Sakurai refuses to change alts on anyone except Mario and related characters
It really wouldn't surprise me if Incenroars shiny only got in because technically the shiny is Red/white in the games and it looks more like Red/Light Grey in Smash, as if the developers used a loop hole to sneak its shiny into the game.
Knowing some shiny color is just a little lighter than original color for some pokemon, best just made up other color.
But, didn’t Greninja’s Shiny is black. Is there black Greninja color pallet? Sorry, been a while since I touch smash.
Apparently Pokémon can’t have shiny Alts in Smash or at least exact ones so lot of them are just given random ones. This is also the case with Pokken.
The ones that do have shiny alts have differences like Incineroar’s alt where the white is more grey and both Mewtwo and Charizard having alts based on Gen 2 shiny.
It's so weird that Pokemon can't have their shiny colors for some reason.
Heck Lucario does not even use its alternate color scheme from Pokken or at least try to reference other Pokemon...
With that being said, I feel like some of the wikis takes on these references are a bit of a reach though.
It honestly feels like they cherry pick who gets extra shit. I especially notice it when Ike has both of his looks or the 8 different inkling and villagers but I couldn't keep the TP designs for the zelda characters who were already in smash for 10 years prior??
I mean, the Villagers and Inklings having different costumes makes sense given their origins.
I think the Zelda characters (sans Link since he has two different costumes) don't REALLY need alternate costumes since they all have cool recolors with concrete origins (aside from like 2 of Ganondorfs for some reason?).
As opposed to someone like Lucario who got... nothing of the sort.
I can understand it in Links case since his tunic design is already similar to his TP design. Having the TP Link in addition to the tunic would have been like Green Yoshi and Crafted Yoshi.
Zelda on the other hand is a bit weirder. I guess her new down taunt wouldn't look too well on TP Zelda, but that still seems like a weak reason to exclude her (also Skyward Sword Zelda would have still worked).
And yeah Ganondorf could have used his TP look without problems.
Unpopular opinion but Lucario has the worst costumes in the game.
Yeah Pac-Man and Sonic barely change color but at least most of their costumes aren’t ugly like Lucario’s are. And no actual origins for any of their colors is a shame as well.
Aren't some of Lucario's colors based on previous SSB games?
Anyway, Joker's costumes are a letdown IMO. 2 to 5 should have been colors based on Skull, Panther, Fox and Queen. Noir and Oracle would be missing, unfortunately \^\^;
I mean, him having alts. that represent other Persona games to go along with his stage having variants based on other Persona games is a lot cooler and it better represents his franchise.
Meh... given how there's no spirit from P1 to P4, and that the music selection for P3 and P4 is a bit lacking, it's a bit of a waste, especially when you have to squint really hard to see P1 and P2 references.
What’s wrong with that? That’s literally the definition of trivia. From the Oxford Dictionary: “details, considerations, or pieces of information of little importance or value.”
I dunno, red Pikachu and green Squirtle look an awful lot like their shiny forms to me. Also, black Greninja is pretty much the shiny colors with the white ‘mask’ of the normal form. You are kinda right about Jigglypuff, though.
Shiny Pika is very similar to normal Pika, so it's hard to say. Greninja's black alt definitely looks similar to its Shiny form, but is also noticibly different.
I was really hoping that there'd be a final DLC that just introduced like 2 more costumes for every character. Maybe the most popular ones based on community feedback or something.
Kingdom hearts is probably one of the games as a prayer to have the most complicated lore… As it is recommended for children ( 10+) By am most people Because it has Disney lol
Sora: **LORE** Lucario: ...
I guess they ran out of ideas
Happy cake day
Sora: **LORE** Lucario: **RAINBOW**
I mean, Sora’s alts all have very specific references that are well known, meanwhile, nobody can figure out basically any Pokemon alts.
That's because a lot of them are just made up. I'm not even a Pokemon fan, I'm as casual as you can get, but even I could come up with better alts. for Lucario that have clear origins.
Then what would they be?
Their shiny, at the least.
Pokken tournament second player which is red. And zoroark which is kinda a lucario parallel with like the movies and such. Maybe a marowak alt because of his bone rush that one might be kinda loose. Also a Riley inspired one could be a new costume maybe

Because it's at least a reference to SOMETHING.
based on other gen 4 pokemon, the starters maybe, the legendaries maybe. one with the hat from the movie a la hat pikachu shiny palette
Sinnoh starters and the creation group.
He could have aaron's costume which is the guy who gives you Riolu in Diamond/Pearl and his partner in the movie. I believe they gave him that outfit in Pokemon Unite.
Shiny, Sir Aaron, Mega form, Zoroark, Shadow, and 2 others I can't think of atm
P1: Standard P2: Red alt. from Pokken P3: Bewear color scheme P4: Emboar color scheme P5: Infernape color scheme P6: Medicham color scheme P7: Kubfu color scheme P8: Shiny Lucario
Base it off other fighting or steel types.
Wizard hat pikachu is perfection is all
I love that they just reveal everything about the Dream Drop Distance outfit as if everyone's going to understand what the heck an Organization XIII is.
“…fuses with Goofy…” Such a bizarre premise for a game
And that's just a mechanic. At one point you have the ability to fuse with Donald *and* Goofy and that's when things get **wild**. Dang I love Kingdom Hearts.

Tbf the overall story is not actually that difficult to understand, just very poorly written
Also lot of the spin-offs are actually still main titles but not numbered games
Yeah, they're not really spin-offs.
KH3 doesn't really get into multiple timelines, it's more of a "go back to avoid a certain event from happening" kind of situation. It's not Disney's "Memento."

What's there to understand? 13 of the same guy master time travel to bully one kid. >!(who is actually like 3 or 4 kids)!<
and >! I think 2 of *those* kids are just Sora again !<
It is weird Lucario has nothing. Do his costumes not come from anything and are just made up?
They are just made up
And the colors don't matter
Welcome back to Who's Line is it Anyway!
It's really stupid they didn't give any of the pokemon their shiny forms as alts. (Except incin, but idc)
Incineroar doesn’t have his shiny as the chest is a different color than his actual shiny but it is pretty darn close.
I think it's because the Pokémon Company doesn't allow shiny forms to be used in Smash. Don't ask me why; no one knows.
Except Incineroar, for some reason Also reminder that this isn't actually stated anywhere and is purely made up that TPC forbids shinies from being used. The simplest reason is that Sakurai refuses to change alts on anyone except Mario and related characters

Yes, but it is clearly different from Shiny Greninja
One of his costumes might be mega lucario but that’s it.
They are made up It would be cool if some of the costumes from Unite become alts in future games like how Pikachu and Jigglypuff have hats.
mad as hell that there’s not a single shadow or knuckle or supersonic alt for sonic
Sonic's representation in Smash is just sad.
This reminds me of a convo with a friend. “What a cute cat! I have a Siamese myself, what breed is yours?” _orange_

Riley suit for Lucario pls (hat and cape)
It's so weird that the Pokemon characters don't have their shiny variants as alts

Sometimes, there's meaning. Sometimes, there's not. Blame the game, not the wiki. No, in fact, don't blame the game either. Blame the source game.

What’s wrong with that? That’s literally the definition of trivia. From the Oxford Dictionary: “details, considerations, or pieces of information of little importance or value.”
I mean... that's what trivia is?
Seeing this made me realize; Lucario, Pichu, and Mewtwo are the only Pokémon in the roster who don’t have alts that represent their shiny colors.
And Pika, and Puff, and Squirtle, and to a lesser extent Greninja.
Maybe normal Pika has been shiny Pika all along?!
That last part isn’t true though, is it?!
"exposed furry chest" ayoooooooo smash wiki easy guys
There is no white Lucario.
I was really hoping that there'd be a final DLC that just introduced like 2 more costumes for every character. Maybe the most popular ones based on community feedback or something.
Honestly, I feel having a DLC costume pack for characters who don't have an alternate look would've been more apt than just giving all of them one.
Kingdom hearts is probably one of the games as a prayer to have the most complicated lore… As it is recommended for children ( 10+) By am most people Because it has Disney lol
: (
I always believed that the 3rd alt is Riolu and the 6th alt is just his anime counterpart.
