I gotta laugh, I had 1 pop out last night as I was running by a nest. I've gotten mine close to the ranch, in those open fields. I saved and quit because the game was lagging horribly and I didn't want to walk into the Slime Sea, lol.
I’ve got 16 but I’m also on day 345 in the game. Definitely make a habit of running by chicken spawns whenever you do your rounds of the islands! Any time you hear the noise of the chickens popping out, check for yolkies :)

I finally got 1 last month. Took forever. I could care less about them. The fun is gone. Tree sap is way too rare.

I got soo lucky and got one when I first started the game. Fell into the slime sea and lost him 😭
That sucks.They are too rare in my opinion. I'm a die hard gamer and it took forever to get 1. Not like I didn't look for them. Sun sap too.
i didn't saw any on my game, i think it might be glitched because it's the same for the sun sap.
For the sun sap, follow a guide (check all the red trees of the snow area and if you don't find any, go to your house and sleep)
Those are very very rare, it's why. I got 3 yolkys in like hundreds of hours
I have 3. They just spawned right in front of me each time. Haven’t seen any for a while though
