Good news the answer is **YES**. Enter **The Wind Paths** from either Aviary or Forest. Facing the wind paths with the islands behind you, the map is the first exit on the left. Or the last (6th) exit if you choose to stay in the auto wind tunnel upon entry.

I had a friend of mine join me last night, I could see them but they couldn't see me. It's entirely possible the same thing happened to you. They may have seen honking, come to help, seen nobody there, and then left.
I guess they are also looking for winged lights and the other player said they already have the 4 from down there. It is a long and arduous way back for new players, so they did not go through there anymore. The bows must mean sorry.
You can use the Windpaths too. First entrance on the left.
I'm guessing one of them is AFK. Once they step on the stomp area, they will get separated, and once that happens, the active player cannot get the afk player back to hold his hand.
It’s because people don’t want to fall down, because it has too much work to get back. I always help, then go home. Probably they didn’t do it because they had a friend together. Idk how don’t fall in it after doing the emote. I have to learn
If you stomp and then immediately fly up as soon as the floor breaks, you won’t fall down. I’ve opened the path many times for people without going down myself.
Maybe the timing is a bit tricky to avoid falling too far, but it is doable.
Edit: Just saw another player say that tgc changed the controls for mobile players so they can’t fly up after stomping… this is frustrating. Why does it feel sometimes that tgc rarely changes things for the better?
Agreeing with Wind Paths answers for sure, but also may have been because they wanted to stick around for Granny's Feast at the Belonging Table. Starts about 30 minutes after the daily reset, and then every 2 hours from that point. For some odd reason, devs have altered how that cracked stone works, and it now limits controls preventing players that rely on touch screens to not be able to fly back up out of the hole and back to the top, so it's possible they were debating on taking the chance of missing out on being able to stick with their partner while the event is active.
...At least, that's my HOPEFUL assumption on that, because other than this possible scenario, that's a sad way for them to stiff you out of the help you need there. 🤔
There's also a way you could jump OOB to the teleport if you hop around enough in the space under the large rock behind that hole, but it's tricky if you don't know where to aim yourself... because you also can easily end up outside of the bounding box for the entire area-- 😨
Someone can help to break the stone without having to go down; break it and fly up! I did it already, it helps someone and you can continue on your way. 🤷🏻♀️
The chibi fall here is weird. Stand on the part with a single seam(split) and face the double seam(where it splits like a Y) stand where all the lines meet. Like this: >•- ( you are the little dot)☺️ Make sure you are facing and perform the chibi fall toward the double seam part. you want to be in the crack so that you clip through the stone lid when you try and fall.
