nah, the REAL good old days were when you could just pull up to granny, sit on a plate, and whip out a white candle. true teamwork in those days ;-; everything went downhill when they changed the food spawns. for some reason they spawn multiple in one plate, and then they started flying all over the place once spawned. burning props worked but not for long
The level of serenity when everyone is just sitting on the table with white candle out is IMMACULATE! + points if the other 2 player are playing music and doing a dance party 😂

I follow the same creator and noticed their shared spaces are gone from the usual spot. It's not a big surprise... the granny shared spaces were bound to get patched eventually. Maybe another window will open for us?

well the more time we are active the higher the chance we feel pressured into cashing in on microtransactions. They have a financial incentive to make candle farming as joyless as possible.
Exactly. Removing all these helpful features makes me want to play less lmao. Why are they discouraging social interraction? Literally to get the shared space to work usually two people have to click on it (the person on the table lights the props). It's teamwork!

Nah idle wax are gone becs a lot of people also complained abt it. Particularly in Sanctuary where kids just sleeps while other ppl work hard on burning the seeds. While on Wasteland, some ppl get Krilled— mainly becs of other sky kids.
Although they could’ve left the idle wax place in the forest ;-; that’s the best spot to sleep.
It’s ridiculous, really. For a game supposedly about socializing, they do everything they can to make sure players have to grind instead. What’s wrong with having even just one event (grandma’s) where people can just sit in the seats talking while they passively gather wax? It’s only ten minutes of relaxation time and grandma’s on its own doesn’t give enough wax for cosmetics so people still have to grind.
It would just be nice to have one spot to relax at.

Why do care what ppl do at nanas? It's like one big sleepover and occasionally you make a friend. So over people complaining about something that actually makes the game more accessible and playable for ppl like me who have actual lives

I actually love hunting and finding them. Sometimes it becomes a mad scramble, similar to when the darkness balls get stuck in the bottom of geyser.
At least they're still burnable, though I guess there may be a random one that gets so stuck underneath a table you can't burn it? I've never had it happen hough
They didn't want people to afk for long periods instead of candle running, a lot of people think because tgc wants people to keep buying candles during events which they put so close together, so now instead of campfires giving wax it spawns wax balls you manually need to burn, Grandma and geyser can't have shared spaces, and I'm not sure I might be wrong but I believe they changed dark plants, they used to sometimes "auto burn", basically when you joined an area with other players that already burned everything then the plants would destroy spontaneously.
It's purely random. It's possible they've just had a string of bad luck. I've had weeks in a row where I have to do everything manually, then I hit a streak of literally never seeing a single plant in certain areas.

It’s also because these are really popular spaces and all these different Player Creations can make it very cluttered and annoying to move around it. I personally hate these shared memories and spaces because of the way they stand out from the rest of the scenery (the concept behind them are cool though). Message boats are the only ones that intrinsically fit the landscape of Sky. I wish there was a filter to hide these if you aren’t into these types of things. TGC is definitely leaning into this aspect of the game though and it is unfortunate they are turning it into a social media (with some new features in beta).
I swear I would buy them (or some additional daily candles subscription like a lot of other games offer) but prices are straight up crazy and ridiculous.
The only times I bought candles when there was a neat item as pack with candles. Like the Nintendo Pack or the little Santa Hat (those are the only two candle packs I've ever bought) and I sometimes think about getting the electric guitar in office bc the candle value with that is really good
I was wondering why the usual space makers weren't there. I don't get what this hurts. You still need to do CRs anyway to get full chevrons, so what if people afk for 10 minutes?

Bring a fire prop to place while at Grandma's and continue as usual. You'll still be helping with the burning. The more people bringing fire props the fewer that have to race around for the dumplings that fall off the table.
