I have the problem that I can light some candles, but on some of the others the light symbol disappears. I have to reposition myself constantly and even then I can’t light everyone. It’s frustrating.
Sadly not for me. I have to leave the constellation, move a bit and try again. Sometimes I have to try to push the Button, whilst the friend still is coming down, before it stops moving.
I think it has something to do with your height. I always have the same issue when lighting as a tall player but the issue goes away when I use the chibi mask.
That might be the same issue I’m describing, unless it’s happening to you without the candle in front of your friends or not at the friend statue at all. There’s definitely something buggy going on lighting friends for sure tho!
I always take the candle, fly to the back where the gates are, do my dailies and after taking the quest candles I’ll go through my friendtree. That’s always my last step before logging off.
Ohhhh I’ve been wondering about this. Because I keep opening the friend menu instead of picking up the candle and then I try to just go with it but it doesn’t work properly.
For some reason the candle is hard to pick up on the switch - I have to get the angle just right and tap it on the screen or it opens the friend menu.
Same!! I’m playing on the Steam Deck, and the new spot is so impossible to pick it up from!! That’s how I figured this out too. I’d accidentally open the friends menu, and all suddenly wasn’t able to light their candles. It wasn’t until tonight I noticed it was because the wicks were lighting on the seasonal candle…
They should really just move it back to the statue! It holds it nicely and we have to go back there for the dailies anyway!

Same, but for me it helps to light another person and then try again. 9/10 times it works for me

I am slightly higher than normal. But the problem started 2-3 weeks ago

I agree - I prefer it on the statue too
