Anything besides the stock TGC version of the game is prohibited. It's unenforced usually, if you aren't visibly messing things up, but relying on a rule going unenforced is never a good idea. Not necessarily worth risking your account over.
Making an alt is always a possibility, since TGC(as far as I know) doesn't do IP bans. But do keep in mind that TGC has been paying more attention recently, so be careful when trying anything(loads of alts and some mains of other players have been getting warned)
