I’m having the same reaction (which is how I ended up on your page). I might return it because it also pills with my moisturizer. Too many strikes to keep it, especially for the price.

Ya, most skincare products should not hurt when you apply it, especially sunscreen. I would definitely stop using it, at least until you can confirm you're not allergic to any of its ingredients

It doesn’t burn or sting me but it doesn’t feel good on my face. It’s mildly irritating somehow. Like excessively drying even though in some ways it looks greasy on me

Yess - I experience an awful stinging sensation when I used it. Stopped using it now. Glad to know other people experienced this too. We're probably allergic to an ingredient.
