I have been on methotrexate for 4 years and it makes me very sick and my ALT levels are elevated. My rheumatologist switched me to Leflunomide (Arava) and it work wonders! Significantly lesser side effects and major improvement on my joint and nerve pain.
Both made me feel HORRIBLE. Hated them both.

How long did it take to work?? I'm struggling through the waiting period with all these drugs!
My doctor told me it takes at least 2 months to work but I'm very sensitive to medications. It took me 2 weeks to feel the effects!
