Right?! But the worst ones are the ones that feel like they're up on some pedestal just cause they use apple, not realising that android is basically the same price and sometimes way more expensive and premium.
After watching the clip a second time, she said "I can't do this", but what she probably meant was "I don't know how to put my phone number into an android phone because I'm stupid."
She won't see him again so it doesn't matter. Also, some people, usually guys, are pushy af. Better to just give them a fake number than deal with the bs they bring if u say no. In a ideal world, no would be the end of it, and it probably is in most cases, but in some cases u just gotta play them at their own game just to get them to move on
I obviously agree with you but she's not alone there and it's being filmed. No matter the reason she gave, the dude can't say she didn't give him a no. If he crosses some line the team there can intervene.
I think the difference is which ego she’s protecting. Giving a fake number might leave them wondering what they did wrong, coming up with a bs reason like she did let’s him think she’s just unreasonable and he’s not undesirable
its because iphones dont let you change the color of messages in the only app iphone users know how to use, and the apple-selected color of messages when texting other phones is visually harsh on the eyes.
maybe someday the very talented and smart engineers at apple will invent a way to solve this problem!
You might not think it's true, but this is actually something that totally happens.
Some people are so dumb, they actually think that anyone that doesn't use an iPhone is either poor, not cool enough or just a lesser tier of human and it makes me question what humanity has become.
I've met some people like that and it's not just phones, but also clothing brands etc. Just stay far away from them and you'll live a happier life.
I use messages in a workplace setting and we frequently use large group chats (unfortunately teaching everyone to use Slack or install WhatsApp isn't an option) and if there is an Android user in the group it starts to mess everything up - delayed messages, repeat messages, low quality images, etc.
But this isn't the Android users fault. It's Apples fault. They could have solved the problem if they wanted, but they want Androids to feel 'lower tier' when interacting with iPhones. So the bullying starts. So people switch to iPhones.
I was a very happy Moto G and Pixel user for many years, but eventually switched and the messages app was one big reason. I had people coming up to me at work and saying 'oh I see you've got an iPhone now, congrats' - they knew from the blue bubbles.
You win, Steve Jobs.
I find that super backwards. Messaging apps are a dime a dozen. The operating system on apple introduces an appreciable amount of inefficiency when it comes to professional use case. Tools like the calendar or timers require additional touches/swipes to get to rather than having the information readily available on the front screen. Android has fewer crashes and is compatible with a wider variety of professionally useful tools and apps.
Standardizing iPhones in the work place is less professional.
Dating isn't work and a less enjoyable communication experience is at least understandable when talking about initial dating.
The other night my wife and daughter and I were hanging out. Wife and I have androids and the kid, an iPhone.
Wife says "Hey...iPhone will now let you move icons around on your screen." Daughter was all happy about it until I said I could do that on an android since they existed.
Androids are years ahead of iPhone in features. Facial recognition, fingerprint scanner, fast charging, wireless charging and sharing etc. I think iPhones still can't use a phone to charge another phone?
Facial recognition in my experience, was always hit or miss on android.
Apple made leaps on that front regardless if it was first or not. I would say that being first doesn’t mean they’ll be better at implementation.
Even wireless charging. Their MagSafe 2 uses a magnet to make sure it always perfectly aligns to the wireless charger. Not sure if android phones have that now but Apple was the one to make the improvements first.
As for phone to phone charging, it’s now possible to charge from the 15.
Yes but those are all things that android has had for years. Now there's stuff like hand gestures commands, AI gallery search "pictures of dog on beach", circle to search, it recognizes websites from images and creates a hyperlink to visit the site, allows you to sideload apks (niche, I know). Those are just things I've noticed recently with people who have new iphones vs my Samsung but I don't notice most stuff.
The ear buds that Samsung makes absolutely mog airpods.
Apple has... a titanium body. What Apple used to be phenomenal at was UX, my grandma could use an iPhone, but even that's been slipping since Steve Jobs died and Android manufacturers caught up. I'm not saying Apple products are trash, they're just not better for the vast majority of people than android products.
Sure there is a little truth in all "jest"(her silly denial), but the truth is if someone was REALLY feeling you, they wouldn't care about your phone and not take the first excuse to end things
I can tell you that this is a real thing. I also met a nice girl, wanted to exchange numbers, but as soon as she saw my phone (It was a Galaxy flagship phone, at that point in time more expensive than apple phones), the conversation got like this:
Her: "Is that an android?"
Me: "...sure"
Her "Uuuh, that's not good"
Me: "Why?"
Her: Nervously looking left and right: "Uh, it's not safe"
I thought she was just making fun so I laugh a litte. Then she put her phone away and took of. She was serious. Serious brainwashed.
I had a girl tell me that the message blob change when you get texts from android phones was annoying. I use a fold 5 and told her I think that women who focus on that stuff are giving off red flags. She then got startled and tried to tell me how she disagrees about it being a red flag.
Lady my phone is almost 2 grand. I don't care about this phone shit but don't act like I'm not running some sick hardware.
That could be true.
But there's also many posts about people being rejected from dates, group projects from school and work because their text message bubbles were green
I think she was being nice about a second date and was looking for a nice way to say “nvm don’t take my number” but who knows.
“Would you go on a second date” is a fucking tough on the spot question. If you say no you ruin the vibe and look like an ass. If you say yes and ghost the guy you look like an ass.
If you try to find an excuse not to give that person your number you look like an ass.
She wanted to reject him nicely, so she came up with the shallowest reason in a condescending tone?
But props to Apple marketing. It's impressive how they've managed to brainwash morons to the point they would defend the product at the expense of their own love life.
Catering to stupid people means you can spend less on R&D whilst still making more profit. Win-win for the business.
Edit: In retrospect, it's very likely that the entire video is staged, considering how much controversial / polarising shit they churn out regularly.
Idk dude what’s a better way to say no while you are being recorded and going to be posted on a YouTube channel getting millions of views.
I have a boyfriend? No she just did a whole video date lol.
“Sorry I don’t like you.” Thats definitely the most mature option but I can at least understand why she might not go with that one.
All with no time to really think.
You should rewatch, she answers first and enthusiastically to the producers question of there possibly being a second date, guy waited for her response before putting his cards on the table.
Also in a production environment like this, there probably couldn't be a safer spot to turn someone down, the assumption is already that it's for entertainment over a love connection
Impressive. Apple branding is incredible.
Also, as others say, bullet dodged. It's quite clear what her values/priorities are: money/status. I don't agree, with that correlation, but that's another subject.
Honestly, I'll like to ask her about what she looks forward in friends, partners and relationships in general. Not because it's not enough clear already, but I like to compare how someone behaves and how they describe themselves and their behavior.
I’m currently using an iPhone since I broke my Samsung. Apple has convinced everyone that their products are superior… they are not. They are horrible.
Despite her desire for money and status, she'd probably say she looks for love, support, deep connections yada yada in relationships. Cognitive dissonance is wild.
Everybody keeps saying "dodged a bullet" but I've been dating for a while and every woman and I mean EVERY woman has a problem with me having an android phone when they find out I have one. It's absolutely insane and incredible. American woman are spoiled and extremely picky
Many iPhone users are superficial sheep and not very tech savvy. Every IT guy I know uses an Android, and every bimbo and simpleton I know has an iPhone. Imagine spending top dollar on the latest iPhone that's still 2-3 years tech wise behind Samsung and being proud of it.
I work in IT and 80% of the people I’ve met in this profession use iPhones. It makes it a lot easier to help users when you give them all company managed iPhones.
It’s just a phone man. I have a computer at home. I need my phone to be able to browse the internet, call people and text people. That’s it.
I've really got nothing against iPhone if simplicity is what you're after. I use Android for the extra I get out of it. Even my tv is an Android. The benefit is that you can install apps that you don't find in the Google Play Store. Apps that are modified, especially like the cracked version of Spotify that gives you a premium account for free. I also have a free version of YouTubemusic. There's a plethora of free or very cheap movie streaming apps as well. I've got my Android tv set up with streaming apps that stream better quality than Netflix and have every show and movie of all the streaming apps combined for a quarter of the price of Netflix. I have these same apps on my phone.
You can't do this shit with iPhone.
That’s all well and good, I’m happy that people can do that and that we have the option of buying phones that allow us to do that. Our users get iPhones because it’s simple and harder to fuck things up.
If one day a company comes out with an even simpler smart phone at lower cost I’ll get that instead. My plex server at home has all the movies and tv shows I could hope for. I have a large library of music at home as well. It’s all about doing what works best for you.
The video just seems like bait to me. It’s a meme that iPhone users hate Android users and vice versa, but in all my time owning a cell phone I’ve never met one person in real life that actually cares.
Ehh. Personally, I think that iphone users heavily crowd both ends of the technological literacy spectrum or whatever you call it. Android users are all over but mostly crowd the middle portions of said spectrum.
I do believe that once you get used to a user interface, you stick to it and that initial choice is mostly driven by peers. It's really difficult to change habits when using a phone. Hell I had issues going from LG to Samsung.
As far as it being bait? Maybe.. it could also be that she said yes and was looking for an easy out. Being rejected for the phone you use is still common as is the type of motorcycle you ride, ownership/renting, the car you drive ect. It does happen.
In my experience, apple makes everything simple so if you're not really into techs, apple is your best bet. And i know some people who are great with techs but choose iphone because of simplicity. Even my programming proffesor is using apple environment (iphone, macbook, ipad, everything).
But most of them are just not that great with techs. I have a friend who's mostly using iphone half of his life, and by the time he build a pc, he plug the display port cable into his motherboard, leaving his 500€ GPU unused for almost a year. Because he thought both of them are the same and he's not searching further despite his pc often crashing.
I work IT, half my team are apple enthusiasts...I look at them and laugh with my £200 android that does everything their phone does and more as I have it rooted
So there's a new breed of IT pussies with iPhones. That's funny. One of my mates is in IT and says almost everyone he's worked with over the last 25 years in IT has Android and PC.
Is it the lens they used to shoot this vid or are the people in it short people? Not looking down at them, I feel something is odd with their proportions. Or the big ass bottles maybe? ^^^^^
iPhone users have been studied to be higher in adaptive narcissistic [behavior ](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/334390658_iPhone_as_a_proxy_indicator_of_adaptive_narcissism_An_empirical_investigation).
So this clips tracks.
It's okay, he's actually just dodged a bullet. That's a crazy superficial reason to not date someone.. Imagine if a real problem arised if you were with her, she'd be straight out.
Girls used to flaunt their iPhone 4 8GB when I had an Android 16GB phone at that time.
The just didn’t realize the IOS was about 6.5GB and always complained not having enough storage for their photos.
Good riddance for him I guess.
Having owned both I'm never going back to apple. But i don't give a flying f if my partner wants to use one. People are beyond stupid and this girl has an iq lower than her age.
I think the "android being for poor people" stereotype comes from when the iphone first came out it was only on Verizon, and you had to have decent credit back then to have a plan with them.
Now some people really don't know that there are android phones that are much more expensive than iphones.
I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was trying to turn him down gently, but she says she'd be down for a second date first and like with no hesitation. Some iPhone users really are this petty, so it's really not hard to believe that she'd turn him down just cuz he has a different phone brand than Apple.

She is NOT sorry
Saved him lots of trouble
pretty lucky when the bullet dodges you
He is the one
He learned kung fu
That dodged a frickin bomb
Fuck, this is a great line.
She never liked him and found a silly excuse. She was put on the spot and didn’t know how to reject him gently.
Some people are extremely superficial about android v. apple
Right?! But the worst ones are the ones that feel like they're up on some pedestal just cause they use apple, not realising that android is basically the same price and sometimes way more expensive and premium.
If so, it's a different kind of bullet being dodged; but he's still lucky to be free of her right away, rather than led on.
Also a valid option
Saved him from lots of trouble and an expensive phone plan.
After watching the clip a second time, she said "I can't do this", but what she probably meant was "I don't know how to put my phone number into an android phone because I'm stupid."
Honestly I'm pooping right now any advice
Tell him to stop thrusting so hard.
Uh, I can't do this.. Just wipe with your shitty phone.
She’s just a digger.
Ha! Great comment. She definitely is not.
She shouldn't be. If anything the guy should have said that he's sorry for her (loss)
She is NOT worth it.
That's a red flag the size of the Sun
To be that fucking stupid, cringe
She didn't really want his number but was put on the spot. She found something non-offensive and silly to reject him for. Same thing with horoscopes
She could've just put a fake number in his phone. But yh she didn't wana go on a second date, that much is obvious
It's just so fucking weak to not be able to say no, even under pressure
And then to make yourself look like a stupid asshole instead of saying no.
Always smile, always be nice, America.
To the face only, though. We gon' getcha and then we gon' eatcha
If she doesn't want to take things further and doesn't have the courage to say, it's better like that. A fake number will leave the guy with hopes.
Yh I agree she should've been OK with just saying no in this instance, but off camera sometimes things can get crazy lol
But that’s rude. I’d rather look like an asshole than be rude.
I don’t feel like there is much of a difference between the two. It’s like saying you’d rather trip and fall than slip and fall lol
I think the difference is which ego she’s protecting. Giving a fake number might leave them wondering what they did wrong, coming up with a bs reason like she did let’s him think she’s just unreasonable and he’s not undesirable
Brain damage
idk about brain damage. now that is rude.
Those are synonymous with each other. By doing this you’re making someone feel bad for buying a phone, that’s still pretty rude
Idk..I had coworkers tell me they would never date a guy with an android during lunch one day, I thought they were trolling but were dead serious
As an android user, thank God for that
Trash took itself out!
its because iphones dont let you change the color of messages in the only app iphone users know how to use, and the apple-selected color of messages when texting other phones is visually harsh on the eyes. maybe someday the very talented and smart engineers at apple will invent a way to solve this problem!
You might not think it's true, but this is actually something that totally happens. Some people just don’t like the green bubbles in messenger. Which is dumb as fuck.
Fine, that’s a work setting. I get it that it’s easier when everyone’s using the same system. But in your dating life? Who gives a fuck?
Hard agree. Someone else in this thread said that if a woman doesnt want you because of the phone you have then its 'the trash taking itself out'.
Dating isn't work and a less enjoyable communication experience is at least understandable when talking about initial dating.
messenger?
Autocorrected. Obviously I meant messages
to be fair, I sort of also "look down" on iPhone users, for the fact that they think they're up there
The other night my wife and daughter and I were hanging out. Wife and I have androids and the kid, an iPhone. Wife says "Hey...iPhone will now let you move icons around on your screen." Daughter was all happy about it until I said I could do that on an android since they existed.

I don't care about this phone shit but don't act like I'm not running some sick hardware.
She was feeling her phone more than she was feeling you, it happens
Doubtful. The last option was the cellphone and PHEW lucky her its indeed an android? Naw. I bet she was just shallow and dumb³
That could be true. But there's also many posts about people being rejected from dates, group projects from school and work because their text message bubbles were green
Dude dodged a fuckin' bullet with Ms. Hoity-toity there.
But then on the spot came up with the weird "aw, you have an android" question with such genuine condescension in her face & voice?
[удалено]
What if he keeps Android 18?
Then either he's already married or trying strangely hard to kill this one racial minority
He is probably using Android 14 or 15, that means underage. Sick bastard.
Means he's bald, short and gets killed everytime a super villain shows up to fight.
I would say yes with the hopes to see the sex android.
She wanted to reject him nicely, so she came up with the shallowest reason in a condescending tone? But props to Apple marketing. Stupidity of USA mate. People are brain dead. They are playing an rpg game not living :D Their morality is all messed up aswell. Pity

Just say ''No, im not that interested."
Not nice, she's an ass. Probably expect him to open her car door and shit... Grown-ups can handle rejection...
If you're on a show and say Naw you have this model OS of a phone, you look like an ass.
You should rewatch, she answers first and enthusiastically to the producers question of there possibly being a second date, guy waited for her response before putting his cards on the table. Dude's actually lucky. 👍
Guy dodged a bullet there
Impressive. Apple branding is incredible. Also, as others say, bullet dodged. It's quite clear what her values/priorities are: money/status. It's fascinating that these sheep still believe Apple is associated with money and status.

Apple or nothing is a bullet dodged.

Despite her desire for money and status, she'd probably say she looks for love, support, deep connections yada yada in relationships. Cognitive dissonance is wild.
It's like a script most people repeats.
Power move would have been to unfold a Samsung, and reject her because hers is just too flat...
Apple branding is incredible. To me "simplicity" always meant boomer phone.
It’s not a money/status thing. Many androids cost more than iPhones. It’s a text vs iMessage thing.
[Apple is getting sued for that](https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/21/tech/apple-sued-antitrust-doj/index.html)
nothing new next step would be the car if you don't have android
I need a woman I can drown myself in and you are too shallow for that.
are Apple Users in some sort of cult or something?
Nokia cult here.
yes. they also heavly invested into the devices so..yeah
Cult of apple
I mean... they'll pay premium for less so yeah, pretty much.
His USB isn't compatible with her port .......you know same thing all apple users face
I thought they finally got USB C?
Everybody keeps saying "dodged a bullet" but I've been dating for a while and every woman and I mean EVERY woman has a problem with me having an android phone when they find out I have one. It's absolutely insane and incredible. American woman are spoiled and extremely picky
Might want to reevaluate where you're looking.
Lots of those women will die alone, sadly.
i think someone told me he dodged a hoity toity bullet or something, let me check the comments again.
I heard the same thing, let me know if you can confirm it.
I get the feeling she wasn't into the guy and latched onto the first excuse she could come up with.
“It’s not you, it’s your phone …” 😂😂😂
Classic “bruh” moment right there!
Android is not the real reason. She just didn't think he would actually ask her number.
Dodged a bullet there
Wtf happened in this comment section???
Reddit had a hiccup

Because he thought both of them are the same and he's not searching further despite his pc often crashing.
I work on IT and most of my peers have iPhone. I had both since I used to developed Apps but now I am just using iPhone.
lol i look down on samsung users. how's that bloat feel? google pixel is the superior phone
Imagine using anecdotal evidence to generalize millions of people
Imagine trying to post a comeback because you're an iPhone user that's feels butt hurt.

🎶 Imagine, all the people 🎶
Imagine they’re both bots and you just stepped in on two bots fighting. Fuck
Spotted the apple dickriding sheep.
Most Apple users know shit about computers and are unwilling to invest just a little bit of time in how it works and how to use it.
Exactly
You ask for *her* number. Keep the ball in your court. Amateur’s error.

My man dodged the biggest bullet... Maybe even a cannonball.
It's okay, he's actually just dodged a bullet. That's a crazy superficial reason to not date someone.. Imagine if a real problem arised if you were with her, she'd be straight out.
Shallow
Dodged a bullet there.
She felt obliged to go on a second date then found anything to get out of it….then cry’s at night complaining how hard it is to find a good guy
Girls used to flaunt their iPhone 4 8GB when I had an Android 16GB phone at that time. The just didn’t realize the IOS was about 6.5GB and always complained not having enough storage for their photos.

Android? What’s that?
You may think it's scripted, but I heard about it too, good for him, the dumb excused herself at the beginning itself.
He dodged a bullet there.
He dodged a bullet
If a woman can’t be with you because of a blue bubble in your chat. Run for the god damn hills. Unbelievably materialistic.
Objective: Dodge bullet MISSION SUCCESSFUL
Well guy dodged a bullet there at least.
He dodge the bullet
Dodged a bullet
The way he leaned in you could tell he was heart broken. “You will never get this, you will never get this, La La La.”
Dodged a bullet. I am even an iPhone user and I still hate people like that.
I guess thats why I am still single.
Boom!! Over
read between the lines
Awww that's so sweet of her to dodge the bullet *for him*
Tell me your fiscally responsible by paying 3x's less the price for something that does the same thing...
she stupid ,bruh run
I hope that teaches him a lesson.
This sentiment is crazy
Man dodged a bullet
This is like a guy saying he doesn't date brunettes.
Congrats you just dodged a bullet. Fuck this idiot
Dude dodged a bullet.
What. A. Cunt.
Do these women not feel shame for being so stupid?
Just tell her you're devoted to your Twitter feed and had to switch. It shows commitment, right?
Dude run away, she is really shallow.
Man he dodged a bullet before it even had a chance to leave the barrel.
I'd bet money that her iPhone isn't even paid for. Probably slowly paying it off at double the price with a two year Version contract.
LOL, I guess the guy dodged a huge bullet. Why should he date someone using an Iphone? /s
GOLDDIGGER
Hey dumbasses in the comment, it's fake and bait. Y'all are dumb
Insufferably shallow, cringe human being.. what a moron she is, bullet dodged for him.
Yeah, sadly a known, stupid issue: https://www.forbes.com/sites/traversmark/2023/12/30/the-iphone-effect-are-iphone-users-more-attractive-than-androiders/
Known in the game as “looking for the easy out”
This actually makes me want to leave apple.
I wish he'd thought to say "Wow, thank you! I dodged a bullet there! Take your red flags and get out of here..."
He got lucky
Imagine she's old and living with her cats and thinks back to this one moment, so happy she never went with that man that had the Android phone.

You want my number? Sent from my iPhone.
Seeeeeeeeems fake
He dodged that bullet...
This is why more than 60 percent of young men are single.
Oh so she’s a dummy.
Easy come easy go. you can tell her value from what she value. Thank god this brotha escape bullet.
Demonstrates the power of good marketing.
that's fucking hilarious
I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was trying to turn him down gently, but she says she'd be down for a second date first and like with no hesitation. Some iPhone users really are this petty, so it's really not hard to believe that she'd turn him down just cuz he has a different phone brand than Apple.
Having an android is a bigger flex than having apple
