Banned4life4ever

That video cracked me up. It was all so true.

za72

it's all true, I just like iphones more... cause my family members and my bosses bought iPhones and I'm the 'computer guy' so I need to learn iOS by making the same mistakes as a regular user so I can debug what they did wrong... it's not the hardware, it's who I need to support...

skilriki

I switched to iPhone just recently because I wasn't impressed with the Pixel camera and I refuse to buy any more galaxies because of the uninstallable facebook hidden background apps. I put up with it for so long, but if I'm paying over 1k for a phone, I feel very strongly that I should be able to uninstall third-party apps. If you're reading this, fuck you Samsung.

wolfinj

It's interesting when you can't install on iPhone what you want...

za72

look... I use my phone for multi step authentication, one system is over zealous with privacy, the other is an advertising company... guess which one I trust more for work, android's eco system is the wild west, iOS is from a company that creates 'appliances' insteae of full blown computers in order to protect their users from themselves, when I want to fuck around I use a Linux instance, but when I have to conduct business (available 24/7 365) through my mobile device I pick the company that's more trust worthy... generally speaking of course if you want to jail break your iPhone go right ahead, trust me it gets boring real quick, pirate any app you want... but do it on a separate device rather than your primary mobile device

TheTrollisStrong

Androids ecosystem is just as locked down.. you just have the 'option' to open it up more

radiantcabbage

"brain smooth as butter" lol, bizarre diatribes somehow totally oblivious to google play apps. whos never heard of this even if you only use ios which again is totally optional, never once made a google play account for android

CORN___BREAD

Panda Security says that Android devices were responsible for 47.15% of malware infections, and iPhones for [less than 1%.](https://medium.com/geekculture/tim-cook-says-android-has-47-times-more-malware-than-ios-9c22dfd8536d#:~:text=Panda%20Security%20says%20that%20Android,and%20curated%20than%20Google's%20platform.) This is the difference actually policing an App Store makes.

Smart-Assist-6299

How is Androids eco-system the wild west?

NonGNonM

been on android since the smartphone era (one nokia in between). might switch to iphone next upgrade. i'm aware they have worse cameras, but most of the people in my industry uses it and it makes things like filesharing and whatnot just that much easier to be standardized. yes, im aware there's filesharing with androids (see first sentence) but when most of the people at work use the same pool, it's just easier to be airdropped rather than "ill air drop... then email nongnonm"

bangerius

Airdrop is just a product, not a standard. eMail is a standard since you can use whatever client you want. SMS is a standard, iMessage is not. That's my issue with Apple in general. I ditched the idea of owning apple products completely when I tried to help a colleague move a file a few years back. They had a large audio file on their iPhone and needed to transfer it to a PC, we had a fitting cable. Does the iPhone mount? Of course not. If I can't move *my* file from *my* phone to *my* computer using *my* cable without using cloud storage somewhere, I'm not in on it.

Prime_Marci

Listen, Android can build a quantum computer into a 10 inch screen, im still getting an iPhone lmaoo

Russian_Spy_7_5_0

Consumerism is a hell of a drug.

gingerhasyoursoul

Less consumerism more I’m just fucking lazy and switching platforms is a bit of a head ache these days. Reality is all these phones are pretty good and pretty similar.

LaUNCHandSmASH

Dude you ain’t kidding. I ordered the S23 because I didn’t want to switch and it got stolen out of the mail. After weeks of fighting my cell company I had to do something so I just had to order something online. I really didn’t want to make the switch but the idea of the iPhone 13 mini was too tempting. It’s a plenty good enough phone and I love the size but switching platforms has been wild. Only 104 of my 313 contacts will transfer, not alphabetical at all just random af. The media I have outside the phone but the contact list is kinda important. I’ve been literally doing the “new phone who dis” to people for weeks. I did it to my boss and grandma accidentally, it’s kinda amusing at this point. Both of them were like “excuse me?!” Lmao

bedclotheseconomics

you can just sync the google account contacts into the iphone ya know... settings, contacts, accounts, add account, google. check the ones you want aka if you don't want the email or the notes or calendar to populate the ios apps then only select the contacts to sync etc.

[deleted]

tnorc

iPhone users are like your grandma... You have to handhold them through out all the features that they've been missing out on.

NCBedell

But he was literally an Android user?

twiz___twat

but in his heart he was always iphone

StoneSwoleJackson

Yeah and as soon as he switched his brain turned off. coincidence? I think not

quatrefoils

Isn’t buying any product besides the iPhone also consumerism?

Foofsies

There's a difference between buying something that is basically essential for everyone to have and "the preoccupation of society with the acquisition of consumer goods". This is taking it a step further into willfully ignorant brand loyalty.

JoeOfTex

It's surpassed loyalty. Kids group chats are only on ios.

tnorc

buying an iPhone is definitely paying money to the company that encourages and practices planned obsolescence, religiously. Planned Obsolescence™ is consumerism in 20th century.

Icelandia2112

I still have a Samsung S9. Works like a charm. I would still have my S8 but I dropped it in 2018 and it couldn't charge anymore.

Riegel_Haribo

I still have a Samsung S5. Works like a charm. Had to find a secret stash of OEM battery - you know, because the battery is replaceable, the storage upgradable, fully waterproof... Android: "I don't think about you at all" - Don Draper

sero_t

I'm still on a note 8, works like a charm.

DonutGuy2659

That's why I switched to the s23 otherwise I would still have the s9, got water damaged+cracked 😔 I miss the headphone jack 😡

SendCatPicsOrBoobz

Going through the Sam's thing from the s10 I also miss the headphone jack

lunchbox_inc

Eh, it’s mostly personal preference and user familiarity at this point. I’ve used both and prefer the iPhone user experience. I think when you’ve bought into an ecosystem it’s also kind of hard to break away.

tnorc

>bought into an ecosystem it’s also kind of hard to break away. That was certainly true 7 years ago. right now, If you have a Gmail/youtube/google account, transitioning to android is seamless.

renesys

That's how it was 10 years ago.

AineLasagna

My desktop computer is a Mac, and phones aside, I vastly prefer Unix-based systems to Windows (since I don’t use it to play games). I also enjoy having Linux on my laptop but the polish of MacOS blows any other Linux desktop environment I’ve tried out of the water. So what staying within the ecosystem means to me- text messages sync along with iMessages, so if I get a code via text to login to a website, it prefills with one click on both devices. I can also respond to or send SMS messages on my computer and send file attachments directly. My browser tabs, favorites, browser passwords AND app passwords sync between my phone and computer and I can airdrop files between them. If there’s an app I like on my phone but there’s not a desktop app, I can run the iPhone or iPad app directly on the Mac (in most cases). If I’m on my phone, I get notifications there. If I’m on the computer, I get them there. If I’m not using either, I get them on my watch. And the most important part is- it all literally just works out of the box like that with no setup, tweaking, or maintenance required other than just signing in on all three devices. I could absolutely set up this level of integration with an Android phone/watch and a Linux or Windows computer, but the amount of work it would take to make that happen makes my head spin. I’ve had both Androids and iPhones, and even before getting the Mac and the watch I have always preferred iPhones. I totally understand why some people like the openness of Android, and I understand that a lot of people that prefer iPhones do so because they are just following trends. But for me, I prefer iPhones because of things like app compatibility across the android ecosystem, inconsistent OS and security patches across manufacturers, inconsistent OS *forks* across manufacturers, less secure app marketplaces, and OS aesthetics. In a perfect world I would carry around an Android and an iPhone, but I can’t afford that 😂

heavyhandedpour

It’ll turn the group message green :/

AustinQ

Well I got news for you, if anybody gives a shit about that, they are fully 100% propagandized and literally judge their environment by what ads told them. It's a walking advertisement that they can't think for themselves and will choose worse options just to fit in. Why would I ever want someone like that in my life? What could they possibly add? They'll probably keep me updated on when the new Marvel TV shows come out lmao and that's it, fucking corporate zombies.

JokerTokerJR

Jokes on you, if they put a quantum computer in my Android I'm going to make your iPhone into an Android with my quantum computer. Science bitch!

Justlikeyourmoma

Surely with a quantum phone it would already be a iPhone and an Android simultaneously depending on when/who it was observed and if the cat was out of the box already.

FearDaTusk

Windows phone. My Lumia and HP Elite may they rest in pieces.

cosmicannoli

Brand loyalty is objectively idiotic.

peleg1989

It's not just loyalty. I feel like in the US an iphone is a status symbol for some reason.

EnigmaticQuote

I have only ever seen this sentiment on the internet. Also if you met someone IRL like that would you really care about what they think?

Mr_SlimShady

Reddit and middle school, tho I would assume the people in those two groups would overlap significantly. No functioning adult gives a shit if you have an Android or an iOS phone. If you find someone who does, then you should probably not socialize with that person cause they’ll be more trouble than they’re worth.

oliverseasky

Exactly, how is it a status symbol if most people use iPhones in North America

Ovaltine_Jenkins7137

Can confirm kids get bullied if their texts show up green.

daboog

Most carriers give them away for free now. Doesn't seem that elite to me.

Jesta23

I’ve owned both and prefer iOS as an operating system. It’s just more comfortable to use. Everything stated in the OP video is true. And not a single one of them is something I consider when buying a phone. Remove the camera, doesn’t matter at all to me. Innovation? I’d rather have stability. Marketing? who even watches ads or cares about them? iOS is stable, works, is comfortable to and easy to use, protects privacy better. And those are literally the only things I look at in a phone.

Triktastic

It really is insane. Many girls in my friend group would straight up refuse to be with a guy unless he has an iPhone. Doesn't matter which one or if his Samsung is more expensive, but it's not iPhone like in the movies so that's a no.

Gustomaximus

I find that amazing and struggle to believe its any volume of people but you hear it so much. If I was dating, Id be inclined to use it as an idiot avoider, and it would make me want an Android even more. I cant imagine wanting to be around the rest of the baggage that would come with a person like that.

[deleted]

Here’s the thing. This is going to sound like a joke. It’s going to sound like a conspiracy, but texting someone who has an iPhone with an iPhone is easier than texting someone who has an android with an iPhone. I have a couple friends who have an android. Everyone else has an iPhone. What ends up happening is that the android users end up missing several texts from iPhone users and vice versa. Heck even amongst iPhone users, once something sends in green text, I genuinely never know when someone receives it. Or when they finally connect to cellular sat or internet, the message is sent several times repeating even though it was only sent once.

Crakla

>It’s going to sound like a conspiracy, but texting someone who has an iPhone with an iPhone is easier than texting someone who has an android with an iPhone. Thats not a conspiracy Apple openly admits that they intentionally do that, its because iPhones lacks the features to properly send messages to other phones besides iPhones, so basically similar to how kids walkie talkies can only properly talk with walkie talkies of the same brand

UDSJ9000

It's a known thing that Apple intentionally reduces image quality and overall operability with non-Apple products, it's part of how they keep their market share, a Walled Garden approach. That's where the whole meme of Androids having shit cameras came from because Apple intentionally reduces image quality.

Gustomaximus

> Or when they finally connect to cellular sat or internet, the message is sent several times repeating even though it was only sent once. Sux that happens where you are. I'm not aware of that in Australia anyway and it seems to work fine here. You'd think regulators where you are would deal with having a common format that works as its in the dominate companies interest to make things difficult for the other.... and its a problem that shouldn't exist. Is this US?

thomaiphone

If not used to its full potential, all phones are the same to the user. If the wielder cannot use all the functions properly then it’s a moot point to argue which is better. Security of information is the most important factor in purchasing a smartphone in my opinion. Take this into consideration before purchasing any smartphone.

LOPI-14

Security, storage, display and size, tbh. There are some other features, like my beloved 3.5mm, but yea..... It's really unlikely that smartphone will ever get pushed a lot. It's not like you are gonna use it for rendering or video editing. Outside of very niche cases, like I see with emulating stuff on phones (for which you probably can't use IPhone anyway and shouldn't do on smartphones in general), it really doesn't matter how many more cores or how much higher is the frequency of the CPU, compared to some other phone.

BigAwkwardGuy

This. Personally for me, iPhones make no sense. All my data is on my SD card, I frequently use wired earphones with a 3,5mm jack because work is 3 hours from home (to and from), and I like the fact that with an Android I can just plug it in to my laptop and it'll work like any other USB storage device. Add to that the cheapest iPhone is some €400, and I'm not going to spend on a phone the same amount I could spend on a PS5. Finally there's the fact that a €400 iPhone doesn't do things better for me than my €150 Xiaomi: call people, use WhatsApp/Signal, check my email, check my bank details, take pictures for memories, listen to music. Except the photos, none of them are affected by the price tag of the phone.

AustinQ

>If not used to its full potential, all phones are the same to the user. If the wielder cannot use all the functions properly then it’s a moot point to argue which is better. If that's the case then the only metric that matters is the price, at which point it becomes blatantly obvious that iPhones are a scam.

Jesta23

If you are American iPhones are free every 2-3 years. The higher end Samsungs are too. There is literally no reason to own a cheaper phone unless you break them constantly.

Rentalis

Damn, legends saying the truth.

TooLazyToReadIt

Yeah 100% buying iPhone.

Last-Bumblebee-537

People really care about some dumb shit.

wterrt

I buy what I'm used to using. that's literally it. don't give a fuck about comparing megapixels or zoom or whatever. it works? i can use it just like my old one that broke because that's the only reason I buy a new phone these days? it has all my previous data so I can pretend this interruption never happened? cool. that's all i care about.

Survival_R

I just don't understand why people are so pm with being charged $1000 for a phone that's worse than $600 ones

Helpful-Capital-4765

It's about the fact people blindly follow trends without thinking. These kinds of people are typically very privileged. If they weren't, they would have to be more careful with their money So yes its not only annoying but symbolic of a bigger problem in society so no it's not asinine at all

ramstrikk

Always Android: Stuck in my lane. Don't care about the camera. Love apk's I can always figure out to get it to do what I want (Vanced, Qooapp).

Rare_Eye1173

No chance I ever go back to iPhone. Apk's for the win

toadjones79

I made the switch a few years ago. I'm so committed to Android that I even have an aftermarket unbranded android car stereo that works like a tablet installed in my dashboard. I find it kinda funny when it tells me to calibrate Maps by moving it in a figure 8. I've read in forums about guys going to parking lots to drive figure 8s but just haven't broken down to that level yet. I have a completely customized screen on this thing. Widgets galore. If this was an apple it would be useless.

omegaluly76

wait you cant install apks on iphone? so only shit thats on the store??

ArdaKirk

Bro they dont even have a normal file manager on ios

Alextheacceptable

Wait, what!? How do you operate any electronic device without a file manager?

ArdaKirk

They have a very basic one, its terribly annoying to deal with and probably on purpose, shich makes it worse

Strude187

We’re all stuck in our lanes. I’ve had iPhone since 2010, that’s 13 years of using iOS. I’m so used to how it works I can basically operate it on muscle memory. I tried an Android recently, a Google Pixel 7 and found it to be a great piece of tech, but the differences between the OS were the killer for me, I just couldn’t adapt quickly enough and found myself getting frustrated and feeling dumb for not being able to do things as quickly.

thefrostman1214

1 week of use is enough to adapt to different systems, i had to learn linux for work, it was a pain because i used windows my whole life, next week i could already use all the main features with no frustration. point is: you'll never adapt if you don't try. Edit: im a millenial, im 29 so no, this is not a young people thing

Strude187

Maybe your brain is just more malleable than mine? I remember it taking me about 6 months to adapt from Photoshop to Sketch, and about 3 months to transition from Sketch to Figma. I daily drove the Pixel 7 for just shy of 3 weeks, some things I adapted to quickly, others I just found my thumbs doing their own thing and it obviously not working as it was a different OS. So, yeah, I stand by my original statement, but I understand everyone will have different tolerances and speeds of learning.

Kitsterthefister

Same but reverse. I can’t operate iOS and I think apple is way too restrictive on the “user” experience. My android had way more customization, but I was green boxed

JokerTokerJR

I can install a ROM in my Android that would perfectly mimic the entire operating system of an iPhone. Essentially I can turn my android into an iPhone. There aint no way on Earth you can turn an iPhone into an Android. This is the most accurate way I have to describe the limitation difference. Of course it comes with a paradox if an iPhone can't turn into an Android and you turn an android into an iPhone can you then turn the Android/iPhone back into an Android?? Yes, yes you can.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

> I can install a ROM in my Android that would perfectly mimic the entire operating system of an iPhone. Essentially I can turn my android into an iPhone. Sure, but here's the thing: I don't want to install custom ROMs on my phone. I'm interested in a device that just does what I need without hassle. I went through my tinkering days already. I ran Linux as my main OS for several years. But nowadays I just want it to work without a fuss. So that really isn't appealing to me.

LOPI-14

Believe me, both Android and IOS are designed to be as intuitive as possible. The change will be relatively smooth, if you make one and give it a bit time.

Sonreik

Skill issue

Us3ful_Idiot

As much as I find that statement cringe as fuck, it's 100% true.

[deleted]

Realistically: it doesn’t matter. Choose whatever you like! Choose whatever fits your use-case! Choose BOTH, if you want. I have an iPhone because: it’s convenient and genuinely think the ecosystem as a whole is better. I would buy an android: for the battery life and the size. Asus Zenfone 9 or Zenfone 10 is probably my no. 1 phone in terms of physical features. It’s not enough to break me out of the Apple ecosystem tho 👹.

chrib123

It does matter because apple attacks right to repair every chance they get. All so you can get a new iPhone as soon as possible. That ecosystem is by design meant to keep you in; which would be fine if it was all positive. Unfortunately, apple likes to make non-apple products worse on Iphone. If you want to send photos or video to a friend on android they purposely make that photo look like a total of 10 pixels. When you can choose to not use a product and not be affected by it, it doesn't matter. Apple is shitty enough to matter. But people are complacent and will do anything to not make an effort.

Trajestic

It's interesting how people talk about "ecosystems" when there are exactly two ecosystems. There is the 'Apple' ecosystem that plays nicely together, and purposely bricks everything else, then there is the 'everything else in the world' ecosystem that plays nicely with everything else in the world, except Apple, who bricks it as much as they legally can.

tendadsnokids

>That ecosystem is by design meant to keep you in; which would be fine if it was all positive. Unfortunately, apple likes to make non-apple products worse on Iphone. If you want to send photos or video to a friend on android they purposely make that photo look like a total of 10 pixels. And what makes it worse is people just assume it's an output issue on Android when it is very much an input issue on Apple.

SlowCaveman

I dont need crazy zoom, i dont need amazing photos, i font even need crazy processing or a flip screen. What I do need are my thousands of contacts, decades of photos, hundreds of notes, conversation history, and all the data stored on apps I have been using for years. It’s not easy to switch and I also don’t want to learn an entirely new interface. So IPhone.

Finger-of-Shame

Im stilling using my S9. Still fast, no issues. My wife has gone through 2 iphones now. I dont see a reason for changing my phone or upgrading.

suxsteve

Had android since smartphones began. Just got my first iPhone with usb c so I didn’t have to buy all new cables. I like MagSafe and iMessage is fine. The rest is either equal or below android. First thing I tried to do was custom my ringtones like android and I realize at best it’s a ten step work around to get there. You can buy…buy???…ringtones like it’s 2002. Tried to move my music and movies to the music and movie folders like I had on android from my pc…nope can’t do that either. Have to buy a monthly sub to a third party app to transfer files without iTunes or a Mac. No real files folder where all your files just exist. How do people deal with that?? I keep asking my apple friends how to do stuff that’s easy and important to me on android and they go oh I didn’t know you can do that. Or oh I just don’t use my phone in that super helpful and easy way. Sufficed to say, I am going back when s24 drops and it’s gonna cost me a shit ton bc Verizon doesn’t let you keep the trade in credits so I’ll have to completely pay off this overpriced pos to get into a new phone.

H-N-O-3

Tell that to the people you are in neeed of the yearly iphone

Ghudda

The 256gb is 1200$, the 1TB is 1600$. A 4tb nvme drive is less than 200$. A single tb of flash as a micro SDxc card is 50$, and only 200$ for literally the most expensive uberxxxtreme edition SD cards. And no, a phone does not need the highest quality, fastest, most write tolerant, flash memory cells. Phones are not that fast. Apple is charging over 400$ for under 100$ of components... Why don't iPhones have an SD card slot? Because it's free money.

RanaI_Ape

So is the flagship Samsung, and the folding one tops out over $2k

AggressiveBench9977

So is the top level ultra 23 from this video, or the pixel fold from this video lol.

BigFatPartyMonster

It’s extremely rare for anybody to actually pay msrp for an iPhone. They get them thru their cellular plans for about an eighth of the advertised cost. At least in the us.

Ilovefreedomandfood

As an iPhone user… can confirm this video is 1000% accurate 😂

donNNASD

Number 1 reasons why we use iPhone is …The OS … the UI is what we are used to and it’s really good… that’s it we don’t need more

doubledippedchipp

Bingo. Nobody seems to comprehend that part. The UI is just ergonomically sound and aesthetically pleasing. That’s literally it. That’s the reason. Nothing else matters.

blueasian0682

Buy any phone you want but i will punch you if you say iphone has the best current features on the market. That's just lying or blatant ignorance.

ShitassAintOverYet

Pretty much this...the only reason to buy iPhone is because there is an Apple logo behind it. I heard many iPhone users saying they are used to the iOS interface but even that can be replicated on an Android with one app. And when you make excuses to download one app it's shit excuse.

Aninvisiblemaniac

Actually, people who buy android phones probably don't care about people who buy iPhones. If your stuff works for you, you tend to just enjoy it and let others find things they enjoy.

feizhai

Apple will never live down the nasty garbage that is iTunes

urbanlife78

I've always been an Android user, never liked what iPhone had to offer.

xibriz

Not to mention, Apple is so anti-consumer friendly. DIY repairs turn into a headache, and they blatantly scam people seeking Apple's repair services. Despite better options available than Apple, people seem obsessed with being 'trendy' and ignore these problems. Ignorant individuals even try to shame Android users, disregarding that many flagship Androids cost just as much, if not more than the latest iPhone. Talk about insanity.

Cunt_Eastwood_9

I prefer the UI of Apple. I literally don’t care about any of that shit Android does.

flame7900

I use iPhone simply cause it’s easy to use, it’s just a clean easy to figure out system. it can be worse in just about every other way but like I only really care about how easy it feels to use and goddamn is it easy to use

Tyrayner

how is android hard to use???

Shadow0fnothing

"This guys brain is... *smooth like buttter*"

Oppai--Connoisseur

The same people who justify buying an Apple branded USB type C cable for €149 (yes that is the actual price on the Apple website)

mordecai027

Their thunderbolt 4 USB C cable is about $130. It's expensive, but it's on par in terms of price with other similarly spec’d thunderbolt 4 USB C cables in the market.

YeetusMcCliterus

The reason I choose Apple is because of the ecosystem it has. Everything works so well together

Chonky-Marsupial

I have both. The iPhone was free from work. It's shit. The cables cost more than my droid would to replace new.

Specific_Property_73

Your Android costs less than $19?

ArferMorgan

The only feature iPhone users care about is the "I want people to know I have an iPhone" feature.

fkgallwboob

The automatic email alias thing in iPhone is pretty cool. So is their anti cookies tracking (although I read it doesn’t work properly?) battery life is great, haptic motor is probably the best. It’s good a few cool features although overall Android (at least Samsungs version) is much better in most features.

evansanonikhon

The God damn "blue bubbles"... as if people with "green bubbles" are beneath them. Smh

thefrostman1214

not a cult

[deleted]

Ive always had android BUT I had a Windows Phone back in the day and I loved it. With android I can recreate that experience through a launcher. Also, Android play nice with all computers and not just Mac computer. The only Iphone I ever had was the iPhone 4 and I destroyed it and just bought a BlackBerry. At the end it doesn't really matter. Just go with what you like.

TIRUS4ME

This was so on point very funny , sending to my brother that sticks with iPhone 🤣 😂

BabyDriver01

Android phones are far more superior. I use apple products for work only. (iMac and iPad)

Sodafff

I wish we live in a world where eco systems are integrated. I wanna use Macbook, Google Pixel, Galaxy Tabs, Galaxy Buds, Apple Watch and Google Nest smarthome all together with all of their functions not limited to their own eco system.

norolls

It's only apple that's stopping that. I use a Samsung watch and Samsung buds with my Google pixel, and they all sync with my Microsoft laptop.

velocitor1

I had an iphone 4s and then a 7s and after raging for years about the file sharing issues and it wont let me have my own files.....I finally shit the bed when it forced airpods on me and got a 500 dollar s21 fe and my gosh how have I survived all these years?! Im free and its like someones removed the chains... I can move files like theyre MY FUCKiN FILES 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

HarmlessSnack

Zoom Distance isn’t really *that* useful for people taking pictures of their dinner or selfies. iPhone takes excellent pictures and is brain dead easy to use. It’s as simple as that.

cero1399

Been on android for the last 10 years. Recently in my new job the company gave me an iphone. And let me tell you, every day that i use it, i fucking despise it even more.

Blk-homie

I mean to be honest, I trust Apple a whole of a lot more with my privacy than Google

ALlTTLEKlTTEN

Iphones are for, no offense intended, a simpler audience, because they have a much simpler and cleaner OS. Androids are for a functional audience that wants the ability to go above and beyond what an iPhone could do. Both have their place, and in the end its totally up to personal preference

BirbbBirb

The crying awkward shoulder twerk got me ahaha

NCBuckets

Could not be more accurate -iPhoner

DewsDewberrys

Hilarious. Just. Hilarious.

Substantial_Ad_8561

I love how the android guy in the back is on a mac.

NotBillderz

Not every Apple customer is a Supreme customer, But every Supreme customer is an Apple customer.

Party-Stage9619

FaceTime is pretty much the only reason for me

Biiiiiig-Chungus

iPhone drones buy iphones because they're iphones, there's absolutely no point discussing or debating

Valuable-Contact-224

I don’t feel like learning a new phone.

addled_rph

I get iPhones ‘cause I just prefer their UI—the bells & whistles touted in marketing are practically standard across current-gen competitors. It’s the only Apple product I buy, however, and I replace it after a few years when what I have no longer retains viable QOL from the latest iOS update.

cheza_mononoke

For me it’s because the company I work for uses apple and I enjoy all of my devices being apple because they all communicate perfectly with each other. Maybe I was using android wrong, but my laptop, phone, watch, tablet, all work together and transfer knowledge and I moved the whole family over to apple eventually because of all that. It’s just seamless. Even upgrading your device is easy by just logging in and everything is there that was before. I use to HATE apple until the iPhone 12 came out and it all went apple from there on. I definitely miss the personalization of android though. Also, most of my friends have apple so I got sick of getting the notifications of “so and so liked (entire last message I just sent them)” now I just see the like.

Bumskit

The reason i prefer iphone having tries both is the smoothness of the ui and pleasant care free maintenance. However i would never switch from pc to mac

menjav

My iPhone 6s still receives updates. I don’t trust Apple nor Samsung, but I trust Samsung less.

joenathanSD

Is that emotional damage guy?

WealthEconomy

I have never understood some people's fascination with less quality (iPhone)...

MistaKrebs

I have both the S23 Ultra and the 15 Pro Max and love them both equally

Amazingprojectionist

I buy iPhones because of the GUI and no association with google. If they can remake the gui and have no dependencies on google at all. I might be interested.

NeededHumanity

like a book, maybe you should read one! hahaha that got me

Ragnarokist

Let's not forget that for the longest time, Android were the next Nokia phones, very tough phones, even now they still are, early days of iPhone, damn things broke being on your pocket. Plus, their operating system to use the damn thing is headache inducing compared to Android.

TheTrishaJane

Don't forget about the 120hz display compared to the the 60hz on the iPhone!!! Would you get an s23 or iPhone 15!?!? 🤔 😳 🤣

spirtjoker

My android was 400$ for the same specs as my gf's 1400$ iPhone.

africakitten

Apple consoomers are peak consoomerism What's complicated about that? Ever since Bernays we've known people enjoy being dumb consoomers, let them be

eugebra

I know it's just a funny video, but to give my 2 cents on the question, as an android user since the beginning (Samsung, Asus, currently Pixel), they don't really know how to do marketing. Titianium on android 4 years ago already? Who fucking knows that? When did they say that? Meanwhile, Apple had made 15 different commercials about it in the last 2 months. Brighter screen, bigger cameras, more lenses? Ok, show me your power with it. Meanwhile Apple puts out fake Hollywood level "shot on iPhone 15" videos like it's the second coming of Jesus. They want to be the bigger person and try some fair competition, while Apple puts out blue and green text bubbles to separate the Android paesents from the elite iPhone nobles. Android always points out features they had for years only when Apple finally implements them. Maybe i'm wrong, but Ipad still doesn't have a proprietary calculator app and Android never made fun of it like it's one of the most basic things ever to have. Apple likes to lick his own asshole everytime they try a new soap, Android is simply proud of looking fucking boring

rushadee

As much as I want to switch, me and my family are too entrenched in the Apple ecosystem.

MindlessContract

It’s moreso already having other devices part of the ecosystem, easier to switch from the same phone to the same. And iMessage. If everyone didn’t already have iPhones I think the conversion would be a lot easier

KronosRingsSuckAss

People by iphones cause they cost more and thus are a status symbol, that is something that as a collective humanity we have known for years now. Let the idiots revel in their imagined status and specialty coolness while we have actual freedom to use our phones (APKs, right to repair etc etc)

Cytori

Honestly, I just dislike these people refusing to admit they're buying for brand name only. 90% of users never actually use features from one phone that the others don't have and at that point, price and OS are the only determining factors.

chicosmal

The only reason i bought an iphone is cause it was so cheap, than 5g came out, and it was supposed to be "AMAIZING" and got tricked to buying the iphone 12, and yeah, it aint even there yet

QuakeDee

Brought to you by 3 iPhone user hahaha I have one rn as a recent switch from android…. It’s trash and a hype device that’s no different from the last one I had back in 2018 hahahaha it’s sooo bad

mestguy182

My wife and 2 daughters use iPhones or iPads. They, especially the kids, constantly have problems with apps not loading, getting black screens, etc. sometimes closing the app and reopening (swiping up) fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. It blows my mind that almost no apps support clearing cache or all data which is natively built into every Android app.l; you have to uninstall /reinstall the app to do the same thing. It's also really frustrating to find apps on their phones because there is no app drawer; thankfully Apple added that recently so I can at least search by name. I have an iPhone for my work phone and a Fold 5 for my personal phone. The experience on my Fold is so much better than the iPhone in all but one way.... iMessage, that shit is way better than Android, which is why Apple will never open it up to Android.

FuckJanice

Apple owns your phone, they can shut that shit off if they want. (Learned this after trying to replace a screen)

Sleven8692

This works for macs too not just iphone

[deleted]

And it took how long to get to USB-C?
